@zzzenmui what art supplies do you use?
I want to smile at these days, because surely it’s meaningless here anyway
Sorry it took so long to ask I’ve been really busy with school and sports.
and there’s actually 3 questions:) so my question is, If you could be anything in the universe, what would you be? And if you could be any animal, what would you be? And what color is your toothbrush :3
YIPPIE YIPPEEEEE my first ask! I’m late to this too, don’t worry. Konj (which is horse in a different language on accident lmao) took a lot of time out of my schedule.
As for the questions, I’ll happily answer them! :)
If I could be anything in the world, I’d be a cat. You don’t have to worry about things like bills or homework, you get free food, and to leisure constantly. Plus, cats are my favorite animal, which is definitely a contributor to the reason why!
Lol looking back at it, it seems like I answered two at the same time on accident, which means I have to answer the last question now which comes as such an ironic time.
You see, a few days ago I lost my two brush, and now I’m using a spare tooth brush from my dad. So currently, my toothbrush is black, but I’m still wondering where the heck my other toothbrush went. Like- what happened???
”Let’s have the best barbeque bash ever!”
(Had to make a story using Australian slang for school and I decided to make one about the members of Nightcord going to a drug shop to buy food for the best barbeque party ever (hosted by Mizuki) but there ends up being no food and they decide to use avocados instead.)
Tried a new marker I found on the floor and used a new art style of just one color for every character!
For every note this gets, I’m going to post some yandere quote thing I’ve somehow scavenged up from the internet.
🍮🎀𓈒 ˚ ⋆ chapter one ⋆ ˚ 𓈒🎀🍮
Walks were always an enjoyable thing for me. Not because I learned to love it while walking with my grandma and mom, (ok maybe a tiny bit). But because it gave me an excuse to not be home, and be in the dazzling nature of the woods. So instead of asking the teachers for D-slips, I can walk along a dirt trail as sunlight pours through the leaves.
The birds were chirping in the distance, a sound that I had a habit of hating in the morning. I continued walking until I saw a fallen log on the ground, something I’ve seen a million of times in the forest. But I caught a glimpse of motion in the corner of my right eye and I turned, only to meet the gaze of an old man.
He had a soft smile on his face and was waving at me. He had a beard and was holding a picnic basket in his right hand with a cane in his left hand. His skin was pale, probably because he didn’t get out much. After all, no retirement homes were located near here, making these walks more isolated then this trail already was.
I walked up to him, his gentle eyes blinking slowly as I got closer and closer. He didn’t seem threatening, and if he was, the worst damage he could do at this point was wack me with his cane. And I had almost broken all of my fingers at once before.
“Hello there young man,” The old man greeted me with his sunken smile, putting his arm down when I got close. “Could you spare me a second to share a meal with this old man?”
I figured it couldn’t hurt, he seemed sweet and polite even though he was a stranger. Plus, an old man couldn’t do much malicious things. After all he was too old to do something like lug a body, and he’d already lived out his life.
“Sure, I found an old log, so we can just eat there.” I told him, helping him make his way back down the direction I came from. “Here, right this way.”
Once he sat down on the log, the old man placed his picnic basket on the ground, grabbing the lid and flipping it open. Inside there was three sandwiches, some watermelon, apple slices, and some beef jerky. He grabbed a slice of watermelon and began nibbling on it as I grabbed a sandwich, the lettuce a bright green compared to the shades of grass below it.
Overall, the man and I had a nice conversation, even though he looked as old as oak. The food wasn’t that bad either, and our conversations made me forget about the anxiety I had of how my parents would react when I got home. Just for a little while though.
“You know, you’re a really kind person, but I can see it in your eyes. You’ve been hurt a couple times.” He randomly pointed out as we swatted away at the few bugs around us. “But I’ve got the perfect antidote to cure a heart of stone.”
He reached into his clothing pocket and pulled out a blue bottle of medicine, containing tiny red pills. With the combinations of colors, they looked purple. But if you squinted hard enough to see past their color facade, you could see what was truly underneath. The color red.
“This stuff can do wonders, take you to nirvana, make you a better man,” The man said, his smile turning into a grin. He packed up his picnic basket and started walking off, but before he did he turned around and told me something.
“One to numb the hurt, two to ease the pain. Three to clear your mind, forget all the hate. Take as I advised, not more than prescribed. Several weeks ahead, you'll be fine again.” And that was his last words until he turned around and continued walking away, eventually going out of sight.
After that I went home feeling confused. Sure, the words that he had repeated were stuck in my head, but that didn’t explain much. What were these pills made out of? Why did he have these? Who was that man? And the more deadlier question…. what would happen if I overdosed?
I swung the front door open then proceeded to head to my room which was on the second floor. It was a modest room, containing nothing much past a bed and a white desk, except a few trinkets and odds and ends from friends.
I put the bottle on the smooth surface of my desk, glad to be in an isolated room away from my family. I flopped onto my bed, wishing I had some new manga to read as I stared at the ceiling. Walls of just straight words wasn’t something for me, especially since I was one of those learners better with pictures. Whatever those are called.
I also hated being alone with my own thoughts, which caused my thoughts to drift around different topics in my head until it landed on one. The medicine, if you could even call it that and not “creepy drugs and old man gave me.” I sat up on my bed, unable to detour my thoughts away from it since my curiosity had apparently been gnawing at me the whole time. I swung my feet off the bed, the carpeted floor brushing up against the bottom of my foot as I stood up fully, walking over to my desk before I plopped onto my desk chair.
I grabbed the bottle with my right hand, using my thumb to easily flick the lid open. It fit into the palm of my hand easily, like it was made for me. I raised it to my lip, only having one thought in that moment, “what do I have to lose?” Before I poured a few into my mouth, swallowing them easily even though I didn’t have water.
I closed the cap and put it back on the sturdy table before I leaned back on my chair. It felt as if I was touching the clouds, feeling their airy softness against my skin as they brushed by me. I felt like I was bathing in the sky, the pure blue becoming blankets that enveloped me, folding over and over again. My eyes started to close as I drifted off to sleep, my heart feeling at peace. Yet before I fell asleep I felt an odd sensation. One akin to riding on a magic broom - or a carpet ride that was taking me to somewhere unknown.

HELP @yandere-writer-momo WE ARE WATCHING TANGLED AND I CAN’T HELP BUT BE REMINDED OF ONE OF MY FAVORITE FICS BY YOU. I’m dying XD. Ps: ITS A SING-A-LONG I’m dying lol.
꒰ఎ‿୨chapter★four‿ ໒꒱
It was clear that someone had lived here before, even though none of the light fixtures were on and it was all lit by natural lighting. Pictures were hung on the back wall shortly above the stairs leading to the second floor or as some would call, “the first floor” for whatever reason. You could clearly see three bodies posing for a photo along the bottom of the pictures, but where the heads were had been faded out by the sun. If it was a family photo, an ounce of those happy memories had been lost to time.
I coughed a bit due to the dust in the air. Seriously when was the last time the old man had cleaned this place?
Ignoring the kitchen and library attached to the living room I had just entered in, I went straight up stairs. Man and medicine. Man and medicine. The alliteration chanted in my head, my determination causing it to take root brain, continuing to annoy me. But who knows, I had a serious money making opportunity if I turned this into a song for…. I don’t really know who actually.
The steps creaked as I walked up them, as if they were screaming in pain, though I didn’t care at all. I know, call me a madman. Hurting stairs.
When I reached the second floor I shook my head from side to side, my left hand against the wall. What was going on with me? My thoughts usually weren’t like this. And I felt so sleepy too… I shook my head again. No, this wasn’t the time. MEDICINE MEDICINE MEDICINE. The thoughts ravaged my head as I took my hand off the wall and continued walking, passing the window I had looked up at earlier before.
To the right of the window, there was only one door, revealing the old man’s location. After all I hadn’t heard any movement downstairs, and while I was outside I didn’t see him pass by the window again. I couldn’t help but smile with the knowledge that I had found him.
This was it, time for my medicine. I thought, gripping the door handle before I turned it and pushed the door forwards, allowing me entry to the room.
When I stepped through the doorway, my eyes instantly darted around for the old man. This room happened to be another study, but it was littered with papers and not a trace of the old man.
I stepped through the doorway and picked up one of the papers on the floor, bringing it close to my face to read it. As the sun continued to stream through the only windows in the room that was to the left of the doorway, I studied the printer ink on the paper, detailing about some sort of… medical tests?
I wasn’t a doctor or anything, but I ended up picking up paper after paper after paper that was scattered on the floor, eventually scraping together that it was about… my medicine. After all, what was small, red, and… filled with nicotine and Fentanyl?
As I held the rough piece of parchment, I nervously shuffled my feet around on the wooden floorboards. Ever since I started taking those small red pills the old man had gave me, I have noticed that I have excess amount of energy, which usually leads to me fidgeting around with my body like my life depends on it.
Though before I could put the paper down in a place nearby, my left foot got caught in a crevice on the floor, distributing my wait unevenly and causing me to fall backwards with a yelp. Seriously what was the deal with me and tripping today?
The wood hit my back and knocked the wind out of me faster than it hit my head and caused pain to sear through it. Feeling hopeless about finding the old man, I let myself lay there, my head rolling back as I let go of my control over my muscles. As I inhaled and exhaled the stuffy air, I let my eyes wander around, wondering what had happened to the old man.
But thats when I saw it.
My eyes eventually looked into the glass of the window behind me, noticing how the sun had definitely moved a few inches down since the last time I looked at it. My parents were surely awake by now and I… I DIDN’T HAVE MY MEDICINE!
I sat up suddenly, stumbling to my feet. Instantly I started grabbing every single page off the ground, studying them for hopefully a location, or even a clue to where he may be. My eyes rapidly ran over every page as I picked it up or put it down, seeing only the same contents as I had on every other page. Medical tests, medical tests medical tests medical tests medical tests medical tests!
At this point I didn’t care if I got paper cuts anymore, as papers were in the air all around me, making me feel trapped. At this point it felt as if I had paced circles around the room, doomed to befall the same insanity again.
Not here not here not here not here not here not here not here not here!
My parents were surely looking for me now, and that didn’t help my racing heart at all. In fact, by now my throat was tightening up, and somehow I was filled with even more energy, making me feel like I was a caveman who had just ate a mountain of sugar.
Eventually I tossed another sheet of paper down with an angry scoff. Dang it! Anger flared up inside of me alongside the fear that was already there. I stomped my foot before I left the room and headed down the stairs with the energy in my legs bursting to get out.
When I hit the first floor my brain raced with ideas. I’d already increased my dose to be taking five at a time, surely six couldn’t be worse?
When I opened the door and my foot hit the grass, my mind was settled. I’ll start taking six at a time. I told myself, each step taking me farther and farther away from what I originally thought was the old man’s residence. After all, that was the best way to safely make the pills last longer, right?

I’ll start
Yes you may have heard of the back rooms, and maybe even listened to “tales” of other liminal spaces. However the fact that has been discerned by the public that to “get in” you have to glitch through the Earth? That certainly is not true. Instead, you’re brought by 連れ去られた者, or “Tsuresara.” They pick and choose who to bring to there maze of winding corridors randomly. Maybe it’s because they want some entertainment, or to see a little game of theirs play out, eh?
Now you certainly aren’t the lucky one, getting dragged down through several layers of the Earth as soon as the Tsuresara see you. You had just been walking home from school, and it wasn’t possible for you to know that it had been so lonely and boring for so long that the Tsuresara just wanted a new plaything!
After all, the Bacteria, as you humans call it, only gets the privilege of company when the Tsuresara brings someone. Us entity’s down here call him 避けられない, or Sakerarenai, but if we were to give him a name it would likely be a word shortened from the term, Sake. Only 7 letters short from the whole name, but very far from humans… alcoholic sake.
And me? Just call me Wisp, the recorder of those beyond our reach.
Which is funny because you are now in the arms of a “monster” quite close to our reach. And he isn’t how he’s portrayed in your “video games” you play of his home. Well… at least his attitude is different towards you. Let me explain.
TW: Kidnapped? Stalking, a room eating corpses, stealing? Murderous, and let me know if I missed anything else through asks!
Yan! Sake who is glad to see someone after so long! How long has it been… 7 weeks? 47 months? 8 years? It doesn’t matter! Sake’s been so people deprived, whether it was supposed to be a torture method from the Tsuresara, or that they have been waiting for the right person to confine to the space they call home, makes him appreciate your company A LOT more. Now he finally has someone to bounce his energy and thoughts off of! You make the empty space feel a lot warmer with just your presence. Oh boy are the Tsuresara going to enjoy watching this game play out.
Yan! Sake who doesn’t understand why you start running as soon as you lay those beautiful irises on his form. They shine like jewels, and he wished he got to look at them more before you turned around and sprinted in the opposite direction. Instinctively he followed you, captivated by your appearance and how different it was compared to everything here.
You see, it wasn’t that he had been so isolated that he forgot what humans looked like, no. He would never forget his sources of entertainment! It was just that he’s been so used to seeing the bodies of other entity’s and himself that he’s just gotten used to it. But if you don’t like it, he’ll change! Anything for you…
Yan! Sake who gives up his relentless pursuit of you after he sees that this chase is going nowhere. Instead, he’ll have to play a classic game of cat and mouse with you. It isn’t what he wants to do since it seems like he just witnessed Aphrodite appear in front of him, but he’ll bide his time and wait… And oh boy did he find good opportunity’s. Whenever you aren’t looking around in your unfamiliar surroundings, or you’re scavenging for sustenance, he’s there whether you know it or not. Always watching from a distance… wondering how you’re so effortlessly cute.
Yan! Sake may not be a man of many words, but apparently he’s a man of romantic advances. Who would’ve guessed? He hasn’t been THIS attached to a human in his entire life. But unlike how a humans heart is tethered to their body, something like a gold necklace or a silver ring is easily separable, which is something Sake knows. So when he sees you’re resting for a while, he slips away to go visit an entity the humans don’t know called 嘆き, or Nageki.
Nageki doesn’t speak, but instead it’s the floor in a specific room that is this “entity.” The floor is… alive, one might say as sometimes the floor dips or bulges slightly when the entity breaths quietly. You’d have to put your ear to the floor to hear its breathing but don’t stay there for too long, because the longer you stay, the more you decay.
Though Sake isn’t here to put his ear to the floor, he’s here for the corpses. Ever wonder why you don’t see dead bodies in the back rooms but you may see random items?
It’s because Nageki eats their flesh and spits out everything else.
Whether it be clothes or jewelry, it spits it out because Nageki is fed by human flesh, and when it isn’t fed, you can hear it breathing louder and see the dips and swells of the floor a lot clearer.
But its eating habits are exactly why Sake is here.
Being immune to the effects of decay, Sake steps into the middle of the room as life silently pulses through its walls and floors. Reaching downward to the floor, its able to hook a cold gold chain through its mutated hay bacillus “fingers” and lift them up to see a gold outline in the shape of a diamond, with an actual diamond. They both glint in the light, but he doesn’t stop to admire it. Not only does it not interest him (because he’s seen something gorgeous, you), but because he doesn’t know when you’ll move.
So sneaking back like before, he finds you just starting to get up from your resting place to continue your relentless exploration.
What you don’t know though is that when you fully stand up, Sake has already placed the necklace near you silently. And when you start taking random directions and turns in this place of winding corridors, you somehow stumble upon it. You look around to make sure Sake isn’t near (but you don’t see him behind you), then bend down and much to Sake’s delight, pick up the necklace.
Even though you stuff it in your pocket to sell later when you get out of this place, Sake doesn’t care. He knows you’ll wear it one day… And he can’t wait when that day comes and he can see his goddess dressed in the spoils that others don’t deserve… And if you don’t like it? That’s ok! He’ll carve up anyone until you find a piece of jewelry you like! (Even though you may never wear them because who trusts anything from this place?)
Yan! Sake who actually happens to be very uneducated. Any of the words you see is either Sake finding something to draw with, or the effect of a human passing by that luckily had something to write with. Why does Sake draw you ask? It’s because he’s trying to communicate with you silly! Sure he doesn’t have that expanse of a vocabulary, only writing the words he hears the Tsuresara’s victims say without a giant understanding of it, which can turn out as well as you imagine. But if it makes you happy, he’ll learn every word he can so he can spell out his love for you in big red letters!
Surprisingly, without being attended to by humans, or having visible air conditioners or heaters, the famous liminal space known as “the backrooms” had a normal temperature. Of course you wouldn’t have known since there was only two survivors, but the more important fact was that they were both dead.
But no, not you. You wouldn’t end up the same like them.
You continued speed walking around the place to conserve your energy, feeling suspicious due to the lack of monsters. Sure, the normal person who would get dragged into the backrooms would feel very happy and relieved unlike you, but the very fact that entity’s weren’t breathing down your neck made every hair on your body stand on end with unease.
In such a hostile space, the absence of enemies usually only meant one thing. That they were planning an ambush. Now you didn’t know if they were smart enough to make a cohesive plan like that, but you didn’t doubt their strong will. After all, as soon as you entered their space, you were chased down by The Bacteria like you were a lottery ticket with winning numbers blowing in the breeze.
With a sigh you brush a stray hair back behind your ear and try to calm your mind. There was nothing you could do about it now, and you had to make the best of the situation while you still could. After all, you don’t know how long you had been in this maze. Days? Months? Years? You did know though that you couldn’t stay for long. The sparse amounts of food and water located around this space wouldn’t stay constant forever, so you preferred to escape sooner rather than later.
You continued to walk along a wall you’ve been following, sliding your hand along the long tan wall, desperate for some texture to keep you mentally grounded. It had been a cycle of walking ever since you started what was pretty much a prison sentence here. You continued walking, listening to the silence surrounding you until you stopped in shock.
The wall you were walking along dipped to make a square indent, but it wasn’t the indent that made you barely believe your eyes. It was that a firm steel door was in the wall, with green exit sign and a man running through some kind of door. Your heart raced, power surging through your body signifying your return of strength as you stared at the door in front of you, appearing like a flower that bloomed and revealed all of its petals. Showing its true colors that wasn’t some shade of beige or tan, and is instead gray and green, the most hopeful colors you could see right now.
You pulled your hand off the wall excitedly, rushing to the door like a toddler would into a candy store. The appeal of the freedom was the only thought that was in your head right now, but all of a sudden you’re pushed back by an invisible force. The force was alike when one plays a video game, but can’t go forward because an NPC with an invisible boundary was in the way.
Feeling confused, you sit up and look at the metal door, wondering what happened.
Some kind of thing… possibly an unknown or unregistered entity had spawned in front of the door, blocking your way. It didn’t have any feet but instead was floating a bit above the ground, having an icy cold blue stare. It didn’t have a mouth, but it did have what looked like a translucent light blue sheet draped over it.
Upon meeting its gaze, your eyes widened and your heart rate sped up. What was this? Why did it appear now?!?! Was it going to hurt you?
You stood up, desperate to get to the door behind this unheard of entity. It remained there, staring back at you when you suddenly got an idea. Even though it may not have a mouth, perhaps it was able to communicate with humans like yourself? You had no other option now, so you thought you might as well try.
“I… I need to get to the door behind you,” You stutter at the beginning as its unwavering gaze burned holes into your soul. This creature didn’t seem to blink at all, which only made it more unsettling. “Please?” You finish, hoping it was just waiting for the “magic word” like adults do sometimes.
Yet it didn’t budge or respond in anyway.
Though you didn’t have time to speak before something hooked itself around your waist, causing you to look down. Your blood runs cold as you see the familiar arms from a mutated strain of hay bacillus that the bacteria has. The strange entity was staring at you the whole time, making it perfect for the organism known only to you as “The Bacteria” to sneak up behind you and cling to you tightly.
In a flash you fall on your stomach with a scream as his “hands” move to your feet, dragging you across your floor. You look up and see the entity still looking at you, still not moving. It makes you realize that the two of them were in cahoots, and you can’t help but want to cry as you watch your opportunity for freedom disappearing right in front of your eyes.
You continue screaming and try to kick and struggle but to no avail. He continues dragging you further and further away until the door isn’t in sight anymore, and the creature in front of your only hope eventually disappears. A feeling of despair pools in your chest as you’re forced to watch him take you past pathways you’ve spent hours following, just praying for an exit.
Even though your throat is hoarse from screaming continually, you push out one final scream using the rest of the air in your lungs, parting your lips for a very audible yell that echoes around the place for a bit.
Yet again it doesn’t work, and it never will. That was the last scream you let out before the darkness captured you again, ensnaring you so tightly that you’ll never leave again.
Ps: This took so long, sorry for the delay! Starting to run out of ideas, so I’ll probably do a yandere version of every Project Sekai character unless I receive any asks cause y’all eating this yandere stuff up. 😋
This post got another note so you know the drill!

This story is told from Light Yagamis POV
I didn’t have much time normally. After all, the amount of the scum on this planet was detestable, and someone had to clean it up. What new god would I be if I took a break?
Yet this was one of the vile times where I had to lay low. It was simply unfathomable to me why they didn’t want me to clean up this world. To make it pure.
Though right now I had nothing to do but face these… requirements head on. And what wouldn’t look more normal than going to the new cafe that opened up? Maybe I needed to put my hand itching for a pen around a fork instead.
The walk to the cafe wasn’t that far from my house, and was actually pretty nice in comparison to huddling in my room with pen, ink, and paper. After all, I’ve spent so much time in front of my computer that I think my chair is exhausted of me.
The inside was peaceful, only disrupted when I brought a small gust of wind in with me through the door. Once the door closed behind me, I was fully inside the small cafe named “Sunlight”, having wood in shades of light orange on the wall, and contrasted by some shades of brown wood outlines for contrasting here and there. It was like they were trying to match their name, but in comparison to blinding ball of light in the sky, they actually set the mood pretty nicely.
The music in the background continued to faintly play as I walked up to the glass case, holding a myriad of different food with smooth white shelves. On the top shelf, a large, layered, circular cake caught my eyes. It seemed to be a strawberry shortcake, on the top layer along with the other cakes, its soft colors complementing the base it was sitting on.
I had come without an order prepared, not scouting out the place before as my dad might. Well, if he got any time off on the Kira case at all.
Even though the cake looked like something Ryuzaki would eat, it did look appealing so I placed it as my order and went to sit down.
I let out a sigh and looked around, taking in the environment. The overhead fans continue to rotate, making sure the air wasn’t too hot and keeping the cafe at a normal comfortable temperature. It was a relaxing place to say the least, sheltering passerby’s from the bright sun overhead, while satiating their hunger with the knickknacks this place produced.
You may think that it’s weird that I didn’t come with my obsessive, modeling, and pop star “girlfriend” Misa Amane. After all, I wouldn’t be surprised if Ryuzaki thought our relationship was one sided, since he didn’t seem to understand why she was so obsessed with me in the first place.
Even so though, it seemed like no one knew she was dating a college student that is the son of the chief of police. Which was surprising since it seemed like some peoples jobs to dig up gossip about others and spread it to the farthest corners of the earth.
It turned out that I wasn’t the only one sitting at a table alone surprisingly. You’d think that when a new place opens up, swarms of people would be all over it, with their curiosity getting the better of them. Yet a sparse amount of people were here, making it look like this was an undiscovered gem just gaining popularity.
The first person that caught my eye was one of the three sitting alone, appearing to be a male with messy medium-length black hair. He had a dark blue, form fitting, and dress shirt that had a gray chest plate with the word “police” on it in red. He had some sort of device on his left wrist, hooked to a gray pack thing in his back with a blue chain. It was definitely weird, or unusual as some may call it, along with the fact that his “police” uniform looked nothing like I'd seen before. There was a chance that this light-skinned police officer was from some police force that L hired, but that was unlikely. Ryuzaki would tell me if he did something like that, unless he thought I was Kira which would be a giant pain.
We both seemed to be waiting for what we ordered, even though this “police” officer stuck out like a sore thumb compared to me. Though this man wasn’t the only one who looked out of place here. This cafe seemed to have attracted an interesting type of people.
For example, another person sitting alone was wearing what appeared to be an academy outfit, even though I didn’t know what school it was from. But to be fair, it wasn’t like I was touring all the schools in Japan.
The person was pale, and wearing a black cap with three white stripes lining the back of it. It also had silver star pinned near the front and from what I could see, he had short dark teal hair under his dark-colored cap. I couldn’t see his face then he was in a spot where he was looking away from me, but I could see his slim figure sitting in the wooden chair.
Though another person was sitting alone with the same shape of body like him, but this person seemed to be more like a boy then something you would call a “man” or consider a “adult of the male gender.” He kept curling his shaggy platinum hair around his finger, which was nearly the same color as his white shorts and pants. He was slender with fair skin, and honestly gave me the same vibes that Ryuzaki gave me.
I heard a faint sound of someone saying “thanks”, and when I turned my head to the direction of the sound, I saw the side of the teenage “policeman” face, his dark grey-brown eyes focused on the waitress serving him his order. Coincidentally, my order came to. And just like the “policeman” I thanked the waitress too before the plate with my cake was placed in front of me, and I grabbed my silver fork, prepared to start eating.
When I was able to get a small piece of the cake in my mouth, it melted instantly. The vanilla cream complemented the strawberries perfectly, adding a bit of creamy vanilla taste to the sweet strawberries. And the dough had been kneaded perfectly, making the sponge light and fluffy, perfect to easily slide down your throat as if it was a boat for the rest of the ingredients.
Unlike me, the white haired boy and the boy with the black cap hadn’t received their order. Instead, the child was piecing together a puzzle made completely of blank puzzle pieces, while the school boy was staring at the other seat in front of them, likely lost in thought. Both of the two were silent, along with me, observing everyone like they were animals in a nature documentary.
The only talking was from the only group of three, muttering to each other in hushed tones. Two of the three sitting there had their back to me, with one of them wearing a short black coat along with a crop-top which covered the upper part of her body. She also wore a black unbuttoned shorts with a decorative piece of black and purple fabric that hung off her back, along with a white belt that has a game console attached at her hip. Without her stomach being covered, that likely meant that her navel was exposed, but I couldn’t tell, since there was only one person on the other side of them, giving me a clear view of the front of them.
He looked to be a man with fair skin, long dark blue hair with red tips, and red eyes. He wore an oriental-styled black tailcoat with red clothed insides and gray trousers. The tailcoat was embroidered with gold and dark blue colors, and he wears a black belt alongside a styled metal decoration on his left thigh. He was the only man at the table, sitting across from another woman.
This woman appeared to be young with red wine-colored hair that was tied in a messy ponytail with two loose bangs hanging on either side of her face. She looked older than the gray haired woman to the right of her, making it look like this was just a family out for a meal. And if they were, who was I to judge? Though they did seem a little more suspicious than a normally family would, you could easily tell from the gold and silver here and there that they were among the people that were a “higher class”.
Though in comparison to the other party of people in here, they were actually more normal.
With the remaining taste of sweetness sticking around in my mouth every time I finished taking a bite of the cake, I decided to get a bitter drink to counteract it. I pulled out my phone since I didn’t want to get up and grab a menu, and began to scroll through one of there digital menus I had found online through google. Scrolling past rows and rows of drink choices, I finally found an appealing drink titled “Párizsban” which was actually the word Paris in Hungarian.
Eventually I managed to flag down a waiter and get my order placed shortly before they walked to the back of the building. The drink in the menu was described as a “coffee with a light brown color, tasting of nuts while the top of the drink had a bit of frothed milk styled to look like the Eiffel Tower.” Whoever had to do the styling for the top of that drink definitely had me feeling bad for them, though they also had my respect to. Whoever was able to make a design like that using a bit of milk was very obviously talented, and could likely pursue a career of art if they tried hard enough. Though that wasn’t the end of the description, also talking about how they put peppermint pieces around the lip of the cup, trying to make the smell “alluring like the city of Paris is.” And also to represent the “city of lights” part of Paris, which was a famous description that it continued to carry.
Honestly the peppermint part seemed a bit slapped together, but this cafe just opened so you couldn’t blame them. They definitely had a good idea going here, it just needed a bit of refinement and touching up here and there. But what that couldn’t help, was the fact that the entire atmosphere was off set a bit from the group of two, sitting in silence.
The one with the back to me had messy brown hair that went in every which way, and his pale, almost gray skin was brought out by luminescent lighting. He was wearing a brown-blue hoodie pullover, a pair of denim pants, a black and white-striped face mask, and he had yellow-tinted goggles on top of his head. On his back there appeared to be an axe with blood that had rusted over, making my built-in-alarm-sounds I had gained from being Kira go off, screaming that he was a villain that needed to be killed.
Times like these were times that I wanted Misa so I could grab the brunettes name, yet she wasn’t here and it didn’t seem like the cops were going to do anything either. They seemed to be so off-put from his uncomfortable aura that at most they just stared for a while before walking off. Humans were utterly disgusting.
I scoffed and rolled my eyes, focusing on the utterly horrific man on the other side of him. They were a pale, noseless man with long black hair and a Joker-esque grin carved into his face. They didn’t have any eyelids either, and had a slim fitting body to go along with his horrific appearance. The longer I stared at him, the faster my heart raced. And as I was staring at him he lifted his head, his gaze meeting mine, making me flinch instinctively.
Luckily though a waiter bringing me my coffee blocked my eyesight of him with their arm, taking my empty plate that previously contained my shortcake away.
Thankfully though when my eyesight hit the terrifying figure again, he was back to eating again. Though I knew better than to continue staring at him, so I averted my gaze into the distance and began sipping my hot coffee with a heart that was definitely racing faster than normal.
