3 of swords in tarot is all about emotions, grief, pain, emotional suffering, but it can also be seen as a release. The three swords pierce the heart, eliciting emotions that may have been buried to bleed to the surface. It is a sign of sorrow, grief, but a pain that is welcomed.

And in Christian imagery, Mary is often depicted having swords piercing her/her heart, indicating the seven sorrows. It is showing the pain she went through that lead to Jesus’s sacrifice, depicting the grief a mother feels seeing their child suffer.

Now, Zoro’s devotion is tied to his sword style. His dream is intertwined with Luffy, making all of his training, every fight, every near death experience, and glorious victory dedicated to one man, his captain. Zoro fights because he sees Luffy as something greater than himself, greater than everyone else. With his 3 swords, he will claw his way to hell and back to save the man he calls captain.

My favorite thing about Luffy that I feel is overlooked is his definition of “King Of The Pirates”.

Throughout the series, Luffy comes across countless others who share the same name of a dream, but what separates them is what that dream looks like.

To Luffy, being king of the pirates means to be truly free. It means to provide freedom for all who sail the sea, where the sea is no place for marines to control.

It’s not about control, being King of the pirates doesn’t mean he wants to tower over the sea with an iron fist.

Luffy doesn’t want to rule, he wants adventure with those he loves and calls his crew. He doesn’t strive for power, he follows his passion.

So to see him fight for his beliefs, to see him fight for those he calls friend, who wouldn’t want to follow him?

weird that blue lock fans think Shidou is the dumb one in the relationship and Sae is the smart one.

Because I'm pretty sure Shidou is a sensitive intellectual who likes art and philosophy and thinks deeply about everything.

Whereas there's literally nothing in Sae's head except a soccer ball, bouncing around the empty space.

I can never fully express what it’s like living with a tbi and the recovery, nothing ever sounds right, all the words feel wrong.

It’s like I’m transcribing a language dead and gone, all the words I have to say you don’t understand, you don’t have the words for what I felt, you don’t have any conjugations or phrases that equate to my grief. so I’m just left saying,

We don’t talk about the reason Zoro was so close to dying during thriller bark.

Like yes, it was for Luffy, he took his place with ease, not even thinking about it because it was luffy. He offered his life differently than Sanji did. Sanji saw Zoro sacrificing himself and Sanji couldn’t allow that because in that moment we saw that in Sanjis mind, he thought replaceable to the crew. (Which obv. Isn’t true).

But Zoro didn’t do it out of a lack of self worth, he saw luffy and couldn’t bear the sight of him gone. Zoro, whether he admits it or not, sees Luffy as something to behold, something that lives above others and shines a light that must be seen by all eyes.

On top of all that, he took all of Luffys pain. Not only did he take it all, he jumped head first into it, despite knowing how it would most likely be the end of him. He quite literally lept into all the pain and suffering Luffy had received without a second thought.

And on top of THAT… Zoro said it was “nothing at all”, not only because to him, it was nothing, what he did in his mind wasn’t something worth mulling over— sacrificing himself for Luffy is “nothing at all”. Also, Zoro knew that if Luffy knew the truth behind his pain, he would never forgive himself for being the reason behind his first mates suffering.

Whether you ship Zoro and Luffy or not, you cannot deny the love, adoration and pure devotion Zoro holds for Luffy.

I have many thoughts about him.

A modern One Piece Au but Luffy has ehlers danlos syndrome.

He loves to get in fights despite it always ending up with him needing half a pill bottle of Tylenol, five servings of meat, a 4 hour nap, and a joint pushed back in place by Chopper.

Every gang knows him as that ‘stretchy, rubber guy’ because Luffy will purposely stretch his skin out to scare people even though it bruises later.

All of his finishing fighting moves leave him with a dislocated shoulder that Zoro knows how to put back in place after Luffy walked him through it one time with the worst instructions ever.

“Just push it back, quick! I can’t move my arm, c’mon!”

Naruto and Sasukes relationship has truly fucked with my mind

Like those two had a love that was palpable, raw and just honest. Naruto loved Sasuke for being Sasuke and Sasuke loved Naruto for just being Naruto. They loved each other clumsily, with white knuckles and sour words, they loved one another with curiosity and vigor. Watching their story unfold on the screen shatters my brain because they are without a doubt Soulmates. They would choose one another again and again in every lifetime, they would die at the hand of the other with pleasure and comfort. If destiny had one plan in mind they would turn the universe in their hands just to meet one another again, they would steal the sun and moon to get the other back.

If that isn’t love then I don’t know what is.
