Okay everyone let’s just all take a breath.
I know that a lot happened in the season 2 finale so it makes sense to be kind of overwhelmed and have your thoughts be all over the place. Mine definitely were upon my first watch.
But after thinking about it guys; you don’t need to be sad, Loki doesn’t have to be alone.
I know, I know, the finale made it look like he would always be alone but sometimes what we are shown isn’t always exactly what is happening in the story.
I think the point of that ending wasn’t really to show that Loki would always be alone, but to show that Loki is the opposite of He Who Remains.
Alrighty now I’m gonna get into the thick of it so strap yourselves in because I got a lot of thoughts to spill out onto this silly little website.
.
.
So, let’s talk about the differences between He Who Remains and Loki.
Why He Who Remains was given that name? It’s because he was the winner of a multiversal war against variants of himself. He was the one who stood victorious at the end and created the TVA in order to make sure another war didn’t happen again.
So of course he was alone in that citadel, he was a soldier and survivor of a war where the enemy he was fighting looked exactly like himself. You wouldn’t trust anyone either if that happened to you. It also explains his thinking about the Loom and Sylvie.
With the Loom he didn’t care about those extra branches because to him they brought chaos and more variants, more of him, more of a chance for another war. And that scared him, he wasn’t ever truly afraid of dying, he was afraid of himself and what more of him would do.
Then with Sylvie it was shown through how he gave Loki that ultimatum in the finale: either let Sylvie kill him and let the Loom explode setting everything back to how it was before anyways, or kill Sylvie and prevent it all from happening in the first place. And it’s obvious that He Who Remains was in Lokis shoes he would have killed Sylvie, after all that’s what he did all the time during the Multiversal war; killed variants of himself.
He who remains is alone because his experience in the war left him unable to put his trust into anyone.
But you see Loki, Loki isn’t like that. He didn’t go through a Multiverse War against himself. He did start selfish, mistrustful and a little cruel– only to then become selfless and trusting and so kind.
When Loki was presented with that ultimatum: kill Sylvie or let the Loom explode and destroy everything, y’know what he does?
He lets Sylvie life out her life on her branch peacefully as she’s always wanted and creates Yggdrasil aka the Tree of Life. Effectively doing the exact opposite of what He Who Remains would have done. He left his variant live and created a new way for all of those extra timelines branches to survive and flourish.
It’s like he told Sylvie back in episode 5 in the Automat, it’s up to them to be better then He Who Remains. To have hope and to be the gods that help others.
At the end Loki knew what had to be done, he had to become the god who protects and gives life even if it meant being away from all of his friends.
But again you see I don’t think he’ll have to be away from them forever. There isn’t any rule saying that Loki can’t leave whenever he wants to.
He Who Remains was alone because he chose to be, he chose to be distant from everyone and everything on the timeline and at the TVA. Keeping himself locked away in the citadel for all time never allowing himself to care about others.
But Loki couldn’t do that, he chose everyone on the timeline, he chose his friends, he chose the TVA. And I think that’s why he’ll be able to leave the citadel whenever he wants to. Because he allowed himself to care.
My theory is that in the blast everyone was sent to their og timeline, but Loki's and Sylvie's time lines had been reseted/deleted so they will be sent wherever and they'll have to search for the TVA agents in their respective time lines. Maybe we'll see Mobius in a Jet Ski and B-15 before they got her bc I feel like nobody talks about B-15 enough.
Edit: Though I have my doubts that they will use the "I don't know you trope again" is possible that the Mobius/B-15 they find is the one before the kidnapped and who kidnapped them was Loki (a popular theory from what ive seen) and would also explain Mobius fixation on Loki variants even if he doesn't remember

I love Charlie sm. She's the daughter of Lucifer. She's the princess of hell. She's bisexual. She's a queer christian. She loves rainbows. She wears suits. She's hundreds if not thousands of years old. She's 22 years old. She is one of the strongest demons in Hell. She's one of the most teased demons in Hell. She could beat the shit out of everyone here, but she doesn't because she's nice. She wanted to help Valentino write a porn because she thought it was "too violent." She's a prude. She wrote a million apology letters and one of them just said "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry," over and over again. She SOMEHOW didn't realize she was dating an angel for over 3 years. She sings out of nowhere in canon. She's a Disney princess who is allowed to say fuck. She's litterally the gal ever
this town ain't big enough for the both of them

My favourite Star Wars movie, actually
I’ve been contemplating which softer version of ‘damn’ is softer. Of course damn is already pretty tame.
