I will forever believe that Sebastian made himself look like Vincent on purpose

Confession time!!!!!!!!!! Tell us something you hardcore believed about Black Butler that turned out to be false :)

I genuinely believed that Sebastian was Ciel’s father and I was so shocked when I found out that Vincent and Sebastian are two different people. The portrait from “His Butler, Able” was one of the main reasons I believed that Sebastian was Ciel’s father (aside from how they acted, of course). When I saw it for the first time, I immediately thought ‘Wait a minute, that’s the same guy from before!’

I mean, come on! How was I supposed to know that Vincent wasn’t Sebastian? I believed it for a while until “Is Sebastian was Ciel’s father?” popped up in related searches on Google. I had a few fanfic ideas and theories I wanted to write about, but I pushed them aside when I found out about Vincent. How long could I have gone before I realized? I have no idea. I was already half way through the first season before Google told me the truth.

How do you think a conversation about Ciel wanting a puppy would go?

Ciel: Sebastian!

Sebastian: Yes, my lord?

Ciel: I want a puppy.

Sebastian: You have Pluto.

Ciel: He doesn’t count. I want a puppy, not a demon hound.

Sebastian: Isn’t Finny enough?

Ciel: No, he’s a human.

Sebastian: He acts like a puppy.

Poor Sebastian

Ciel: How could you, Sebastian?! How dare you! What you have done is unbelievably cruel! I will never forgive you for what you’ve let happen to me! You were supposed to be my protector! I can feel myself fading… It won’t be long now. Tell Finny that he was my favorite. This is it. This is where I met my end. Goodbye, cruel world.

Sebastian: My lord, please, it’s just a paper cut.

Ciel: Shut up, Sebastian. You have no idea how much pain I’m in.

Sebastian:… I’m not your favorite? :(

Ciel: Not after this disgrace.

Rabbit Sebastian

Ciel has an enormous Sebastian bitter rabbit. Ciel had designed the plushie as a joke. He wanted to get on Sebastian’s nerves by portraying him as a harmless bunny. It had backfired when Sebastian went out and bought him one with the explanation, “Oh Bocchan, don’t you know that rabbits can be vicious and aggressive fighters? I am honored that you would represent my skills as such. Now you can have another protector for when I’m away. Isn’t that wonderful?” Ciel was not amused.

The next time Ciel ordered Sebastian away to uncover information, he found himself waking up from a nightmare. He was no stranger to nightmares, but when the nightmares are so graphic, it takes everything in him to not call for Sebastian. He doesn’t always succeed, but that night he did. He stopped Sebastian’s name from exiting his mouth with a mere second to spare. He focused on calming his heart and controlling his breathing. Had Sebastian been there, he would already be drink warm milk with honey. But Sebastian wasn’t there. Ciel looked around his room, assuring himself that he was safe, when he saw the plushie Sebastian had left next to his bed. Hesitantly, he reached for the stuffed rabbit and placed it next to him.

When Sebastian returned that morning, he prepared Ciel’s tea and breakfast before going to wake Ciel. Once Sebastian entered Ciel’s room, he saw Ciel cuddling with the oversized plushie. He couldn’t help the small smile that found its way onto his face.
