Man, one of the earliest episodes of Batman the Animated Series I remember was Harley's Holiday.
I think we all know how heart wrenching Mad Love is, and that has a large part to do with Arleen's voice performance.
She really gave a depth to the character that I don't think anyone has ever been able to fully and accurately reproduce.
Truly awful news.
I think everyone is forgetting one important fact about the Laudanum though: it was produced/distributed by CMOT Dibbler. I don't think it was of the highest quality to begin with. While it might have still been hazardous/druggy, it might have been a weaker dilution of whatever.
Hello Mr Gaiman,
In episode 3 season 2 of Good Omens, Crowley drinks poison and isn't discorporated. Which had me wondering if it was normal or not. From what I understood, when on Earth, demons and angel can be discorporated by stuff that would kill humans (car accidents, fire, being shot...). Does it apply to intoxication as well, or it takes external damage to be discorporated? If not, then why did Crowley survive? Is it because he was a snake, or because he can eliminate intoxicating subtances from his body (like alcohol, but then again he can still have hangovers so idk) - or am I just wrong to assume that it should have damaged him?
Thank you if you answer (and even if you don't)!
Angelic systems are definitely more robust than human ones, even when inside a human-style body. We've seen Crowley drink quantities of whisky and wine that would kill a human or render one unconscious. He gets drunk, but his system seems to cope.
Man robotniks ass is dummy THICCC!
I was just going to let this rot in the bowels of my inbox, but I'm putting off an essay so...
You have truly opened my eyes to the majesty that is Robotnik. I thought that if Jim Carrey couldn't stur anything in me, then nothing could. What a fool I was.
And of course the new banner:
Thank you for sending these to me my friend.
I like your random lizard lady too. You're the reason I'm lizardwoman. You planted the idea in my head.
OCs as Drinks 4/6: Milligan (she/her)
I like my random lizard lady.
Talking about women and gender expression in Discworld for my midterm. Dude, it's a shame that The Watch sucked so much because Joe Eaton-Kent was such a cool choice for Cheery. I thought it was really cool that they explored aspects of her gender and "coming out" as female that was mostly just subtext in the Original stories.
(A slide from my visuals)
Same. Reaper Man was the first Disworld book I read and my brain will always come back to it if I think I can worm it into a Discworld conversation.
I’ve been thinking about creating content for the Discworld fandom but most of it is rambling about Reaper Man.
1. I am very happy that Terry Pratchett is trending in some capacity.
2. Why is it happening?
I know I'm not the target demographic for this movie, so I'm not going to say too much about it. I do have a genuine question though:
Why does the Rat King move and look like the Other Mr. Bobinsky?
Is it the standard "hoards of rats trying to look human" style? The Amazing Muarice and His Educated Rodents is one of the few main Discworld books I haven't read, so I don't know how it's described in the book. I have read and watched Coraline though, and I did just get done watching The Amazing Maurice.
the worst part about father mulcahy is that he'll never know how much i love him
How I imagine the 3rd Doctor saw the Brigadier when he first started working for UNIT:
I was looking up Susan's family motto (for reasons), and I had forgotten just how many puns are in the dog Latin stuff Terry Pratchett does. Things like:
Quod Subigo Farinum as the family motto for the baker, translating to "Because I knead the dough."
Almost all of the guilds except for the MOST prominent ones have a joke as a motto. Reading the Plummer's Guild one was really funny.
One of Albert's line in Mort being Sodomy Non Sapians = Buggered if I know.
Like, I went looking for one thing and ended up reading the entire wiki article for Discworld's Latatian.
Idk, it's almost like he was a professional, knowledgeable, and talented comedic writer or something.
Terrible jokes and ramblings and OH GOD, THE PAIN! THE UNENDURABLE AGONY! (howdy)
