Calling all Critters!

A few years ago a call was made to Critters to submit lovely things about Marisha Ray when she was going through a rough spot in the first campaign. The submissions were compiled into a scrapbook and arrived just in time for that month’s round of Critmas. It was a huge success; she was absolutely blown away by the things that were sent to her and how much you guys loved her.

Things have been admittedly rough for the cast the past two months, especially for Matthew. So I’d like to do the same thing for Matthew Mercer: put together something to show our appreciation for what he does and has done as a DM and for what he brings to the show with his skill, imagination and personality.

The rules are the same as before:

Submit compliments

Submit encouragements

Submit happy thoughts or stories about positive impact

Be courteous and respectful of boundaries

Multiple submissions allowed

Specify the name you’d like to submit under, or if you wish to remain anonymous

The deadline for this is December! I encourage you to submit things for the other cast members while you’re at it too! This is a good chance to show the cast what we love about their characters and themselves.

This makes so much sense

I think we need to rework the whole “needing routine as an autistic person” thing because for the majority of allistic people, “routine” looks something like:

-wake up at 6am

-shower at 6:15am

-eat breakfast at 6:30am

-do important outings at 7am

-come home at 3pm

and so on..

And that is nothing like what I and many other autistic people experience (though it is what some experience).

Routine can be more accurately described as needing to do things in order to feel comfortable.

For example, I have no set time I wake up, I have no set time I do anything. But when I do wake up, I need to do my morning tasks in a specific order or I’ll struggle to function.

I get out of bed, turn on my lamp, switch my computer on, go to the bathroom, make my bed, get dressed, and sit down at my desk. That’s what a routine looks like to me.

If I’m cooking, I need to do things in a certain order or the food will be “wrong” (this could possibly be down to ARFID, but that is also comorbid with autism.)

There are other things like this. I guess you could call them mini routines. They aren’t a typical routine you’d see in a neurotypical or even someone who’s allistic.

For the longest time, I thought this was a symptom of autism I did not have at all but I do.

Just because a symptom doesn’t present in a neurotypical way, doesn’t mean it’s not there.

I hope no gets hurt anymore, and that people stay on their guards. People shouldn't have to be scared, so maybe this will help protect everyone if they are warned of this sophie,

If that doesn’t suggest harmful intentions I don’t know what does. Please be extremely careful what you post on tumblr, on twitter, facebook, anywhere. Do NOT give out your full name or your address, or even the town in which you live. Look out for one another, and don’t answer any suspicious anons. Especially if they use your name in quotation marks. Sophie M Herold is still out there, she always will be, so please spead this message and warn people. She’s attacking in silence.
