I am Chinese and an avid xianxia/wuxia fan and I can tell you right now you are completely and utterly INCORRECT to think WWX was in anyway wrong to visit or indeed take the man he wants to marry to present him to his once guardians tablets. Since WWX doesn't have his own parents remains to visit and JFM and YZY technically "raised" him from the age of 9... He has every right to do what he did and only those ignorant enough to ignore such formalities would say such utter crap.

I find it amusing that the very same people crying that WWX was "in the wrong" here are the same idiots who claim WWX and JC are "brothers"... But, he was taken in by the Jiang clan and JFM and YZY are technically the next best place to visit when seeking blessings for marriage, considering he's never even seen his parents ashes.

Absolutely everyone is allowed to visit an ancestral hall if they intend to show respect. Clans were integrated into the very villages they were part of and anyone could visit, so stop all this bullshit and check your history before you spread such baseless nonsense.

an mdzs transmigration fic where the characters transmigrating into canon are just. the same characters from a different au. like, lan wangji transmigrates from a modern au where everyone's just normal*? or nie mingjue transmigrates from a chef au where he was a world famous chef and ran his own restaurant**. or wei wuxian transmigrates from a spy au where he had a torrid romance with a dangerous assassin***.

or jin zixuan, qin su, meng yao and mo xuanyu transmigrate from a dystopian au and honestly don't know how to feel about the fact that canon is worse. or lan xichen and jiang cheng transmigrate from a pacific rim au and are equally incredibly confused and elated by the flying on swords thing, and also cultivation in general.

bonus points for the transmigrator knowing literally nothing about the plot. extra bonus points if there's multiple transmigrators from different aus and all of them are desperately trying to act normal, which is fruitless because everyone who knows them is also a transmigrator and trying to act normal.

*lan wangji somehow becomes the most well adjusted person in the jianghu. literally no one was expecting that.

Kirk being the exception in everything for Spock in this book is absolutely crushing.

Spoilers for The Entropy Effect:

Early on they establish that Spock maintains a strict distance from his other crewmates, and other beings in general as being a touch telepath means he has to maintain shields against their emotions and thoughts. Braithewaite shaking his hand is such a faux pas because of this, Vulcans are known to be touch telepaths and he should know better! Kirk and Spock are both irked by the gesture to the point that Kirk notices Spock is giving Braithewaite a hard time (politely).

Kirk is shot on the bridge and without a second thought Spock is there, already trying to staunch the bleeding, holding Kirk in his arms (using his first name a lot too…) and drops literally every shield he has. They’re so entwined that even dying Kirk recognizes that Spock’s going to follow him into death.

After Kirk’s death, Spock is in charge of the Enterprise as it was Kirk’s last request that he take care of his ship, but Spock’s already planning on transferring off as soon as possible- it doesn’t occur to him that he could stay there under a different captain, which would be the most logical course of action. Jim’s death ends that part of Spock’s life that takes place on the Enterprise.
