truly honestly, i've never agreed with anything more. let people enjoy media and entertainment however they want to. if you don't want to read two hot fictional characters having sex or cuddling, you don't have to read fanfictions. in this sad, cruel world, let people enjoy things that makes them happy. ship whoever you want to ship, as long as it makes you happy. (don't ship minors tho, that's just so fucking weird and should be illegal)

also I love when people platonically ship two or more people. like yes girl make the two people, who hate eachother, understand eachother and become found family. like i will eat that shit up.

all in all i love fanfictions and if it makes people happy, let them have it.

“this ship is not canon” babe, they’re fictional characters. they’re not real. they’re literally dolls we play with. we don’t care about whether or not these fictional characters’ love story is canon in this piece of media that is also entirely based on fiction. I mean, sure, canon would be lovely, but it’s a bonus. it’s not necessary. what we care about is the fun of talking about these 2 idiots being in love.

we don’t give a fuck if they didn’t kiss in “canon”. they had raw sex in thousands of fics about them though. and I’d say that’s more than enough to make people who ship them happily ship them even harder. happy shipping!

the whole point of anti tags was so that if people felt the need to say something mean it didn't go in the main tag where people could see it who didn't want to

filtering tags exists, filter out the anti norris or anti verstappen tags, etc. and you won't see it anymore but you can't police people wanting to express their opinions - just politely ask they tag it appropriately so that you can have it hidden unless you look for it

fully agree with you about the over analysing their private lives because that's nothing to do with us, who they date, who they want to be friends with etc, literally none of our business, but we are allowed to have an opinion about on track behaviour since that's public, same as you would football, rugby, hockey etc.

i can understand that. but the thing is, I've seen it just go too far. I've seen posts talking about drivers families under these tags. i do avoid these tags as much as i can, but they sometimes show up. i can understand criticism but i genuinely do not understand blatant hatred and petty comments.

and of course we're all allowed to have opinions and express them but there is a way to express them well.

what i've learnt in my very limited years here on the earth so far, is that life is miserable but holy fuck man life is so beautiful. like i get to walk outside and see the sunset. i get to hang out with my friends and giggle and cry and gossip. i get to hug my family. whatever comes before or after this life does not matter. here right now is so beautiful. does the make the world any less fucked up? no. but that just makes me realise more as to how privileged i am to have all that i do. i will probably forget this in a few hours and start worrying about what i don't have. but i'm always grateful for what i do have. life's beautiful man. talk to your friends, go on a walk.
