So… for the color palette thing, could you maybe draw Clover with this color palette? If not then maybe a Hoxton?
My brain said “why not both” and this happened.
Thank you for your request, I hope you like it!
Joy: I’m so hungry i will eat literally anything
Hoxton: Beans?
Joy: I would rather starve
Ive never watched the owl house but im getting nothing but hollow mind stuff on my dash, are yall okay? Do you need some hot chocolate?
Artfight attack for @its-spelt-hermaeus-mora!! I was immediatelyyyy drawn to her I don’t use super saturated colors that often so it was fun to see how far I could push it!!!
DO:
• Accept them. Tell them that you still respect and care for them.
• Tell them that you are there if they need your help.
• Tell them to let you know if there are any triggers that are important for you to know. If they choose to tell you any, be patient and understanding. Listen attentively.
Helpful things to say or ask:
• “Is there anything you need me to do to make sure you feel safe in our relationship?
• “If you want to tell me more about it, I am here to listen.”
• “If there are any triggers you think I should be aware of, please let me know.”
• “I’m here if you need help with anything.”
• “I still love you and you are still my friend/family/partner.”
DON’T:
• Ask if they are dangerous or if they are going to harm you.
• Ask them what their trauma is.
• Call them crazy.
• Suggest that their mental illness is caused by supernatural or pseudoscientific means. (AKA, NEVER suggest that someone is possessed or haunted.)
• Bombard them with questions.
• Demand proof.
• Force then to switch as evidence.
• React in an unkind or rude way.
• Minimize or invalidate them.
• Tell them DID isn’t real.
• Deny their existence or refuse to call their alters by their names.
• Demand any answers from them.
Unhelpful things to say or ask:
• “I’ve known you for [span of time]. I would have noticed if you had it.”
• “It’s fine as long as you aren’t going to murder me.”
• “What’s your trauma? Did [traumatic event] happen to you?”
• “Isn’t that really rare? How could you have it?”
• “You had an easy childhood so there’s no way.”
• “You don’t know what ‘hard’ is.” “You were lucky to have the childhood you had.”
• “I just don’t get why you’re doing this to me.”
• “Can you imagine how hard this is for me?”
• “Tell me your triggers.”
DO:
• Be patient with them.
• Tell them that it’s okay, and to take their time.
• Politely ask who’s fronting.
• Reintroduce yourself, as if a new person just walked into the room.
• Fill them in if they are unaware of what is going on.
DON’T:
• Snap or clap in their face.
• Express that you only want to interact with the previously fronting alter.
• Raise your voice, or try to force them to “snap out of” their dissociation.
• Ask if they are going to harm you, or if they are “evil”.
• Tell them “they should know what’s happening”, or refuse to fill them in on what is happening.
• Accuse or blame them for not being a good friend, not listening, or dissociating.
DID is a highly stigmatized disorder. People fear disclosing this disorder to their loved ones, because their safety could be compromised. They trusted you enough to tell you. It is your job to create a space of love, acceptance, and respect for them.

Hear me out.
A villain who’s just a person who snapped after being mistreated and expelled from society. They’re behavior is seen as eccentric and heroes have tried and tried to take them down, but all have failed.
Enter former-psychologist hero. They go to shoot their shot at taking down the villain. Villain captures them, but doesn’t kill them. Doesn’t even do much to hurt them. The more the hero is around them, the more they realize why the villain is seen the way they are; they’re autistic. Knowing this, when they get their chance to confront the villain, they don’t rush in with anger and harsh words, they instead choose to be empathetic. They try to understand why the villain does what they do.
The hero eventually talks the villain down from committing atrocities, and the two become friends, roommates even.

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children
Both of us have seen this before (as seen in my incessant ranting abt a payday au) but regardless it remains a fantastic movie. I am here for Enoch and his weird fucking necromancy. Makes me wanna read the books.
Get Out
It was my partner’s first time seeing this movie; I had seen it when it first came out, and my opinion stays the same; Get Out is one of my favourite unsettling movies purely because of how good the actors are at selling it. Freaks me out <3
Lucy
AAAAAA WHERE DO I START. Oh. Oh my fucking. Oh. Graphic surgery/medical scenes freak me out to no end but it was such a cool ass movie. My stomach hurt the whole time so there’s that. Beautiful visuals and metaphors.
Lightyear
Lightyear managed to do something no other movie has done. It genuinely made me forget that it wasn’t a live-action movie. Not because of the style, the animation is very obviously cartoon-y and stylized, but it’s done like a live-action sci-fi action movie. It made me think a lot about movies like Interstellar and Martian purely because of some of the shots.
More to come :)
Planet of the Apes trilogy
LOVED THEM. SO MUCH. I care a lot about Caesar and Maurice so the end of the third movie really had me in tears. So good.
Jurassic World Movies
Pretty alright, docked some points because of real world opinions of Crisp Rat, but I am HERE for Blue and the T-Rex. The Indominus Rex was, imo, a really cool dino. Fed my childhood love of scaley boys.
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish
YES KING ITS WHAT HE DESERVES. So happy to see Kitty again and Harvey Guillén did a great job. 10/10 will watch again.
The Golden Compass
Lost to the mf ages. I had a preview for this movie on a dvd I had as a kid, and only now got to watch it. So sad there wasn't a sequel.
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
YES. YES. YES. EVERYTHING I WANTED IT TO BE.
All of the Michael Bay Transformers movies
Ugh took us so long to get through cause each movie is a little over 2.5 hours but we made it! I watched the first one as a kid (as well as read some of the comics) and Ive always loved Bumblebee. I loved all of the movies. LOVED HOUND he was my childhood second favourite. Im a little sad that Arcee didn't get nearly as much of a part as she deserves but I'll live. I'm more partial towards Sam Witwicky but Cade Yeager is alright. Hes cool.
Transformers: the Movie (1986)
Partner's childhood favourite so naturally we had to. Was really good! Reminded me of why I love 80's cartoons so much, it was a huge nostalgia trip and got me wanting to watch all of my childhood shows and movies (X-Men, TMNT '87, Rainbow Brite, etc.). I will always love the style and the way they did the backgrounds. As for the movie itself, I got my fill of Arcee, and I'm happy with the experience. Will watch again.
Bayverse TMNT movies.
YES FINALLY. Ive had these on my watch list for. A WHILE. I loved them, loved Mikey and Donnie specifically. Not my favourite iteration of Casey but he was fine. Overall p good, happy to see Bebop and Rocksteady. I think they should've used '87 Krang's voice in the second movie but he's squeaky and kind of annoying so I get it. Reminds me to watch ROTTMNT.
Dinosaur
Literally didnt even know this was a Disney movie but was fantastic. Beautiful animation despite being old. Loved it.
Hook
*Points at Rufio* its him officer. Its the homestuck flashback. Despite the fact that I had to explain why Rufio cause me to uncontrollably laugh to my partner, was a really good movie. Hook and Peter were both played by amazing guys.
I'll add any if I missed them, and I'll reblog with our next batch. :)
I really like Freemance, I really like Freehoun. I also think Alyx Half Life and Chell Portal should be girlfriends. I think Alyx and Chell and Gordon and Barney should go on double dates together. I just think they’re neat.
I also firmly believe Alyx should kiss these two guys on the cheeks. As a treat.
