Can anyone please provide a concrete example of this? Either a screenshot, anecdote, even a fictional but realistic scenario describing it happening?
8tw trans women can 8e affected 8y transandropho8ia too. I never see anyone talk a8out that 8ut it's totally a thing.
your mental health will take everything from your life until it eventually takes your life
Oh my god what a disgusting thing to say. Imagine if someone said "well lucky you get to ejaculate sperm" to a transfem. That would be absolutely fucked up. Neither of these things are okay. Check your internalised transphobia.
People seriously underestimates how living with mental illness is also inherently traumatizing.
It's been almost 10 years for me now. I physically feel my memory suffering under mental illness. Other senses like vision get affected too.
You wouldn't expect someone to undergo 10 years of cancer treatment, only to still be sick, and tell them "please keep going, you've been so strong before, one day it'll be alright!". You just wouldn't do that, would you?
Then why is it not only normalized, but encouraged to act that way towards me?
And people forget how recent it was that it became socially acceptable for women to be not traditionally feminine. I'd argue it has only been in the past 10 years or so(and that's stretching it majorly), it has become socially acceptable for women to be traditionally masculine, or for girls to act "boy-ish". It really wasn't that long ago
"No one cares if women / transmascs / afab people wear pants and boy clothes!!!"
On my knees begging you to talk to people who grew up in religious fundamentalist communities and high control groups / cults
It hurts knowing you're more privileged and have more opportunities than like 80% of the world with a lot better quality of life and still have life suck so much. Like I'm well aware that just by being born in a western country, that's already better off than like 80-90% of the world. And yet everything hurts physically and mentally and I just want to die every day.
Himbo? No, no. Lobotomized.
it is what it is (i want to die so bad)
Not your boomer family getting mad at you for messing up your medication's concentration and hurting yourself ONCE as if they didn't drink margaritas for pregnancy pain and smoked cigarettes against asthma.
Big part of this is the fact parents often can't let go of their parental role even after they've been an adult for several years. Like tf you mean your 22 year old son has a curfew?
People often compare toxic parents of adult children to toxic roommates, but it's nowhere near the same simply due to the power dynamic parents feel like they have even over their adult children. At least with a toxic roommate you're on the same level of authority, the same can't be said about toxic parents.
there's no shame in continuing to live with your parents as an adult, but it does have an undeniable poisoning effect on your brain that you can't start healing until you live somewhere else
Trans man, 19 years old, on T and post top, stealth in day to day life. This is my blog to post about trans stuff, as well as other queer stuff sometimes.
