system of a clown. if you even care
The solution to homelessness is housing.
"being trans is a choice" do you honestly think i would CHOOSE to get gender euphoria from wearing knee-length basketball shorts?? that's humiliating
IMO a lot of people think womanhood means having no agency, no desires, just sitting around waiting for someone to tell you what to do and what to want. A lot of people view this as a defining trait of womanhood. Trans women obviously don't fit this definition of womanhood because the act of transitioning proves we do have agency, it's permanently written on our bodies. Which is yet another reason that some people struggle to comprehend that trans women could be women in the same way cis women are.
Obviously, this attitude comes from (internalized) misogyny. All people have agency all the time, regardless of whether they've proved it or not.
DONT MIX BUSINESS WITH PLEASURE IT CREATES AMMONIA GAS !!!!!!!!!!!!
Not to be an anarchist on main but we should all have free time and space to make things and be creative
hey. if you are a queer/trans person who is feeling hopeless and overwhelmed by the election results, i just want to tell you this:
we have existed as long as humanity itself has existed. through every monarchy, every presidency, every dark age and revolution, queer people have existed. we have survived and lived and thrived and loved. in the face of an unwelcoming society, we have always carved out our own niches where we can find community, strength, and peace.
we survived 2004. we survived 2016 and 2020. we will survive this, too. i promise you.
please stay safe, take care of each other, and if you ever feel like it's over - i suggest reading about our queer elders and ancestors who lived through time periods that were even more dangerous and hostile. i always find strength and solidarity in their stories.
but most importantly: hold onto one another, build each other up, and love one another. we will get through this.
Look, I’m really trying my hardest to treat trans people the same way I would cis people but please understand how difficult that is when literally every trans person I’ve met has been the coolest person ever
I mourn for the rebellious masc 'girl' in every movie, who grow out of her manliness and becomes some asshole's domesticated wife. I mourn for her short untameable hair, which she was always running a hand through in those old photos. I see the way her fingers linger as she goes through the album with her young daughter, forcing a laugh at who she 'used' to be.
the phrase ‘this is my first time being alive’ has done wonders for me recently. Yeah, I don’t know how to navigate this situation! It’s brand new to me and I’m learning on the fly, aren’t humans such wonderfully adaptive creatures?
trans people will literally go “i have a complicated relationship with my history with gender and sometimes see it as a gender i ‘used to be’ and i don’t really look like a cis person of either gender and i don’t think i can fit it into simple categories” and everyone will spontaneously combust
