I Can’t Stand People That Don’t Let Me Speak Hyperbolically. If I Can’t Respond To A Minor Inconvenience

I can’t stand people that don’t let me speak hyperbolically. If I can’t respond to a minor inconvenience that someone should get shot in the fucking head for it then what’s the point of it all.

It makes me sad that most people around me are so unbelievably burnt out from work and life that they are just truly emotionally unavailable and don't even wanna use their energy for anything beside going out partying once a weekend

It's like watching friends who you've seen be silly and have deep talks work jobs to the point of stress where they are incoherent and respond to messages like legit 6 days later and not in a rude way but genuinely they don't have the mental capacity to do shit anymore

Working jobs and paying bills shouldn't take everything out of people to the extent it really does

Even when I'm off work and I had a shorter shift most of the time I truly have nothing left in the tank after the combo of emotions and physical labor

How this country treats someone who (ALLEGEDLY) killed ONE PERSON

Verses how this country treats a man who has and continues to bomb people he knows are innocent…

Update: and the one on the left possibly faces the death penalty. Here’s my thoughts.

I wonder how deeply the stereotype that it’s easy for trans men/mascs to pass is rooted in survivorship bias. I came out and started to transition long ago under the old WPATH standards, which demanded social transition prior to medical transition for trans men. My therapist directly told me that if I were a trans woman, she would have written the letter for HRT for me almost immediately; instead, I had to jump through hoops for years—I missed the window to gain significant height from T because of this. (Informed consent/DIY was not accessible to me; this is another discussion.) If I were not already a bit tall and butch by sheer luck, would I have been able to persist as a trans man? Would I have gone back into the closet, to some miserable end? Would I have lived at all? If I died, what name and pronouns would have been on the obituary? The 2015 US Trans Survey gets trotted out a lot—but one figure that always jumped out at me was the age graph from page 46. Look at how young the trans men skew—only 10% are 45 or older. (The non-binary category is of course even worse.) How different might that be, if things had truly been safer in the past for trans men?

i really love trans people. i love binding and tucking and packing and styling your hair the way you want and wearing gender affirming clothes and creating yourself from scratch. i love listening to trans voices, hanging out with trans people, singing trans songs until i'm out of breath, creating trans characters. transition is beautiful, seeing gender norms and saying no is beautiful, being unapologetically yourself is beautiful. i think being trans is genuinely amazing.

Transgender men and sexual violence

Transgender men and transmasculine people are often erased and ignored by the wider queer community. This leads to our suffering being ignored and erased. While all transgender people are more likely to face sexual violence, Transgender men and transmasculine people have the highest rate of sexual violence of the whole queer community - disabled trans men and trans men of color being the most vulnerable.

Transgender Men And Sexual Violence

Trevor Project (2024)

Transgender men and transmasculine people who are victims of sexual violence deserve support and community. Studies have shown that when victims of sexual violence don't have support and community they are likely to commit suicide. Places to donate that provide support to all transgender people:

The Trevor Project "The Trevor Project is the leading suicide prevention and crisis intervention nonprofit organization for LGBTQ+ young people. We provide information & support to LGBTQ+ young people 24/7, all year round." Mermaids "Mermaids supports transgender, non-binary and gender-diverse children and young people, as well as their families and professionals involved in their care."

Places to donate that provide support transgender men and transmasculine people: The international man project "The Intentional Man Project provides men of trans experience with the community and the programmatic support they need to live healthier, connected, and more fulfilling lives." Black Trans Men Inc "Since 2011, Black Transmen Inc has firmly planted ourselves on the forefront of organizing the modern movement for Black trans equality.  Still too often, black transmen are overshadowed in the fight for social equality.   Founded by Carter & Esperanza Brown, Black Transmen, Inc. (BTMI) takes pride in its role as the first national nonprofit social advocacy organization with a specific focus on empowering African American transgender men by addressing multi-layered issues of injustice faced at the intersections of racial, sexual orientation, and gender identities."

Skip Google for Research

As Google has worked to overtake the internet, its search algorithm has not just gotten worse.  It has been designed to prioritize advertisers and popular pages often times excluding pages and content that better matches your search terms

As a writer in need of information for my stories, I find this unacceptable.  As a proponent of availability of information so the populace can actually educate itself, it is unforgivable.

Below is a concise list of useful research sites compiled by Edward Clark over on Facebook. I was familiar with some, but not all of these.

Google is so powerful that it “hides” other search systems from us. We just don’t know the existence of most of them. Meanwhile, there are still a huge number of excellent searchers in the world who specialize in books, science, other smart information. Keep a list of sites you never heard of.

www.refseek.com - Academic Resource Search. More than a billion sources: encyclopedia, monographies, magazines.

www.worldcat.org - a search for the contents of 20 thousand worldwide libraries. Find out where lies the nearest rare book you need.

https://link.springer.com - access to more than 10 million scientific documents: books, articles, research protocols.

www.bioline.org.br is a library of scientific bioscience journals published in developing countries.

http://repec.org - volunteers from 102 countries have collected almost 4 million publications on economics and related science.

www.science.gov is an American state search engine on 2200+ scientific sites. More than 200 million articles are indexed.

www.pdfdrive.com is the largest website for free download of books in PDF format. Claiming over 225 million names.

www.base-search.net is one of the most powerful researches on academic studies texts. More than 100 million scientific documents, 70% of them are free
