Ivy: Hey, Bat-brats! Which One Of You Do You Think Is Batman's Favorite Child? I Want An Answer.

Ivy: Hey, bat-brats! Which one of you do you think is Batman's favorite child? I want an answer.

Batman (hanging upside down, tied up with a vine whip): They know I have no favorites. You’re a weed for asking them that. None of you have to answer her ridiculous question.

Nightwing: He's right… Because it's obviously me who he favors the most.

Red Robin (shaking his head): Oh, Nightwing… No.

Robin (prideful): It's obviously me! Nightwing, humble yourself.

Red Robin: I figured you’d believe that. I'm his favorite child, I took care of him when he was more depressed than usual.

Batman: I wasn't that depressed.

Red Hood (walking over to a hot dog stand): It’s cute you think that, third child.

Red Robin (insulted): What’s that supposed to mean?

Red Hood: Nightwing is the oldest, Robin is the baby, I am the black sheep middle child, and you were the one born by accident because your parents forgot to wrap it up.

Robin: Exactly.

Red Robin: That’s not true! Robin was literally conceived because Batman used a bad condom!

Batman: You didn’t hear that, Ivy.

Ivy: Oh yes, I did.

Red Robin: You’re the fourth child, Robin, that he had at his geriatric age!

Batman: You don’t have to insult me; having kids at that age isn’t old!

Ivy: How old are you?

Batman: Harlot, how old are you?

Ivy shrugged enjoying the the bat-kids continued arguing.

Robin: Oh yeah well... you're short!

Red Robin: You're short!

Robin: Cause I'm a kid! you're an adult and short! I can grow!

Red Robin: There's no guarantee of that and either way I'd still be his favorite!

Robin (jumping up and down): LIES! ALL LIES!

Nightwing walked closer to Ivy with a grin.

Nightwing: I'm his favorite, though. Because I was the cutest, the first one, and he chose to have me.

Ivy (pinching Nightwing's cheek): You’re my favorite at least.

Batman: Stop touching my son! And just because I say that doesn’t mean he’s my favorite!

Red Hood (walking past the group holding a hot dog): I’m guessing it’s not me.

Batman: Well… I mean, I do care about you a lot, Red Hood. If you died again by the hands of any villains here, I’d lose control of myself again, so you know… yeah.

Ivy (smirking): Look at that! Hey, Hood, looks like you're the favorite child!

Red Hood: What?

Red Robin and Robin (the oldest having the other in a headlock): What?!

Nightwing: Papa, why?

Batman: I didn’t even say he was! I have no favorites; you’re all favorites! I love all of you- and that’s not what I wanted to say either.

Ivy sighed happily, snapping her fingers to cause the vines to release Batman, dropping him to the ground.

Ivy (holding out her hands for the cuffs): Petty revenge is enough for me. You can arrest me.

Nightwing chuckled, escorting Ivy away as Batman stood up, his face flushed. He walked off, his cape flapping, while his other sons ran after him.

Robin: You love us all, just say that!

Batman: No.

Red Robin: Say we’re all your favorites again!

Batman: No.

Red Hood: I knew you loved me!

Batman: Shut up!

Part four of Jon and the Wayne’s: poker night.

“Alright,” Jason said, grinning. “Place your bets, demon.”

Damian glared at him, hands tightening on his cards. “I am not losing to you again, you human scratching post.”

Tim hummed absentmindedly sitting next to Jason, more focused on his book then on the game.

“Wow. You guys are really mean at this game.”

Damian looked to Dick, taking a sip of his water while assessing his cards.

“Grayson, are you in?”

Rick smiled, putting his cards down with a hum. “Oh I fold harder than if my own weapon shatters my skull, Dami.”

“Wow.” Jason rolled his eyes, looking over his hand at Dick.

“Dramatic much?”

“Okay.” Damian said with a sigh after assessing his cards. “I’m in. Duke?”

“I thought I mentioned I’m not very good at this game.” Duke mumbled. It didn’t help that his eyes lit up every time he got a really good hand. He tried sunglasses but they reflected his hand to everyone else.

“Ok.” Tim said, still not putting down his book. “I’m all in.”

Jason pinched the bridge of his nose, looking over at the other. “You don’t have any money left.”

Tim shrugged. “Oh, I know. I just didn’t want to leave the circle yet.”

“And I call it,” Jason said, turning his head to Damian. “What do you got?”

Damian smirked and looked up, putting his cards down. “Watch out disappointments, because I am straight.”

Tim snarked under his breath.

“Not what Jon thinks.”

Before Damian could kill him Jason cleared his throat.

“Well hope back in that closet because I have a full house, bitch.”

“God damn it!” Damian said, throwing his cards down in a huff.

“There there Dami it’s alright.” Dick smiled, rubbing his back.

Damian hugged at him and looked through his lashes scathingly.

“That was my budget for more animals.”

Dick gasped and turned to Jason with a frown.

“You barsterd.”

“Go cry to Wally about it.” Jason monotoned at dick.

“Can I please be done now?” Duke asked, sitting back.

“Yeah, I’m done too.” Damian scoffed.

“I’ll keep playing.” Tim said absently.

“You don’t have any money.” Jason scoffed.

Tim thought for a minute.

“I could beg my suit-“

Jon walked in to find the other sitting on the floor of the batcave. He went over to dick and sat down next to him. “Hey, what are you guys doing?”

“Getting robbed.” Damian snarked.

“Hey kid,” Jason asked, turning to his new victim. “You know how to play?”

Jon stared at him blankly, pausing before saying airily.

“I don’t remember.”

“You got money on you?”

“Yeah.”

“Sit down I’ll deal you in.”

Dick turned incredulously to Jason.

“Wha- hello? What do you think you’re doing?”

Tim looked up, folding his books page.

“I don’t think he knows how to play Jay.”

Jason turned to face Tim, raising an annoyed eyebrow.

“So? You don’t know how to play this game either-“

Dick cut Jason off with a scoff.

“Yeah! And now he has no money.”

“It’s ok.” Tim said. “I don’t need to buy… food.” He trails off, thinking.

“It seems you maaay be trying to take advantage of him.” Duke mused.

“That’s not very honourable, Todd.” Damian said.

“Yeah, yeah. Ok kid, I bet 100.” Jason said, turning back to Jon who was inspecting his cards.

Jim looked up blankly, before responding.

“Hmm. I guess also a hundred.”

Dicks head snapped to Jon.

“Woah- hey kid no-!”

“No interrupting.” Jason shot at dick.

“What do you got?”

Jon looked at his cards, before looking back up. He turned them. “Is this anything?”

“Oh.” Tim said. “Hey he won.”

“No he didn’t.” Jason sighed.

“Oh.” Tim said, picking up his coffee. “Hmm. I don’t know how to play.

“And I have two pairs. So I’ll be taking that.” Jason said, leaning into the middle and scooping up the money. He grabbed the deck.

“Jason! This is disgraceful.” Damian said, glaring at him.

“I don’t think you’re being very fair.” Tim shrugged.

Jason rolled his eyes and dropped a fifty in Tim’s lap. “Shut up, go buy yourself something pretty.”

Tim nodded, pocketing it. “Ah. Hey thanks.”

“Can we play again?” Jon asked.

“Kid,” Jason smirked. “If you’ve got money we can play all day if you want.”

“No! No. Ok? I am putting a stop to this.” Dick said, standing up.

“You back up,” Jason started. “Or I’ll tell Wally how much money you lost.”

“…sitting dooooown. Carry on.” Dick smiled, strained.

“Exactly.” Jason turned to Jon. “You bet first kid.”

Jon looked at his cards, merely a glance.

“Ummmm. Can I bet 500?”

“Woah.” Tim said, eyes widening as he finally put down his book and picked up his mug, ready to watch this tv shit.

“Kid, why?!” Dick asked, exasperated and concerned.

“Mmm.” Jon said, unfazed. “500s my favourite number.”

“Okay,” Jason said nodding. He was getting into this. “I raise you, 200.” He said, thinking that was a high bet.

Without pausing or faltering Jon just said.

“I raise you 500.”

“Uggh.” Damian huffed, knowing his best friend was loosing all his money.

“Oh my god!” Dick groaned, massaging his temples.

“And I call it,” Jason said, smirking at the newbie. “You ready for this?”

Dick on the side sighed.

“Please god tell me you have nothing.”

“Four of a kind.”

There was audible groaned around the room as Jason leaned forward to collect his money.

“How do you even look yourself in the mirror Jason.” Damian snarked.

“Like this.” Jason said, then flipped them off with a smile.

“That’s true actually.” Tim said, “I’ve seen him doing that.”

“Nice try kid?” Jason smirked, putting his hand on the pile. “We can try again if you want-“

Jon placed his hand on Jason’s, eyes glinting and that blank expressing staying the same, but with a new aura.

“I have a royal flush.”

 The room went dead silent.

“Huh?” Dick finally broke the silence. Damian just gaped at his friend.

Jason stared at the cards in front of Jon, fuming.

“What”.

“Pretty sure that’s the highest.” Jon said, letting himself a smile. “Four of a kind is only the third highest.”

“Uhmm.” Dick said, unsure what to do.

Tim looked quizzical and questioned.

“I thought you said you didn’t know how to play?”

“Did I?” Jon asked, folding his money and counting the bet.

“I can’t remember.”

“Did you just hustle me.” Jason growled, glaring.

Jon looked at him, and smiled.

“I don’t know Jason.” He quipped. “Did I?”

“He hustled you!” Dick whisper yelled happily.

“This games more fun then I thought.” Duke said offhandedly.

“You sneakily little punk ass.” Jason said, stareing at him.

“Oh, and Jason.” Don said friendly.

“You might want to check the mirror you’ve got some egg on your face.”

“Ohhh! He’s dead!” Dick celebrated.

“Well done Jonathan.” Damian said, offering him a quickly masked smile.

“He hustled you! You idiot!” Dick cackled.

“Shut up!” Jason spat, embarrassed.

“Haaaah.” Dick wheezed.

“I can’t breath-“

I had an idea:

what if Bruce could’ve saved Jason.

I was watching arcane and jinx was nearly brought back from death with shimmer or smth.

what if Bruce had like, had that happen when he was a teen, au thingys, but when he held a dying Jason in his arms he got out the shimmer but decided, like him, death would be better then subkecting him to that.

but Jason finds footage of Smyth of Batman bringing out an unknown needle of Smyth over his dying body once he’s back to life, and Jason thinks Batman chose not to save him instead.

developing the hate, because Bruce made the decision not to inflic that trauma for a low chance of survival. But Jason didn’t know what it was, he saw it as Bruce chosing if he was worth saving or not.

and he thinks Bruce chose that he wasn’t worth saving.

if it’s an au people think about I can do it?

Part three: stinging Jason todd

Part two of Jonathan and the Wayne’s!

Dick rushed into the room, slamming open the door and startling a Jon who was about to try fix his fan. Hon knew there was no superpowers in the house so he had gotten a ladder and was holding rope attached to said ladder to steady himself.

When dick burst in he promptly fell off the ladder hitting his head on the bed. Probably damaging the bed more than he did himself.

“Ah- you idiot, what is it dickhead?”

Dick, who still looked panicked, flung out his hand and held Jon’s shoulder.

“No jonathan! Don’t do it!”

Jon paused, mind blanking.

“Ok.” He said, tilting his head.

“Do what?”

“I got your text message!” Dick gasped out, trying to catch his breath.

“ ‘thanks for everything?!?!’ “

“Yes.” Jon said, not getting the point.

“I just felt like thanking you. For, well, everything.” He shrugged.

“Wait so you’re good?” Dick paused.

“Yes, why?”

“Well I might have misinterpreted your actions-“ dick started before Tim burst in.

“Take him down, semper fi!”

“Agh-“

Dick clasped his hands in his lap and looked to the sideways nervously.

“And told the family group chat .”

“Live Jonathan!” Tim yelled, doing some real shitty cpr onto the hybrids chest.

“Live! Jonathan, you are loved!”

“Why does ‘love’ feel like fucking kryptonite?” Jon said, voice warbling as he was thrust back and forth.

Dick grabbed his shoulders pulling Tim back.

“No, timcicle, it’s fine, he’s good.” Dick sighed, as Tim got off a heaving Jon who rolled to his side and onto his arms. Pushing himself up.

Tim, looked over at dick, offended. Then back to Jonathan.

“You mean I touched him for nothing? Give me five dollars.”

Jon paused, an annoyed expression flitting his face before he handed it over.

“Here.”

Tim grabbed it, despite being stinking rich clutching it like it was a comfort.

“Capitalism had softened the blow.”

Stephanie burst in next, holding some of Alfred’s cookies, looking genuinely worried. Shoving the other two men past she thrust the jar in Jonathan’s face.

“Here, comfort foods! Your ok!”

“Wha- so many baked goods?” Jon said, tilting his head.

Cassandra who was standing at the door yelled.

“It’s not working! Somebody ruin his dad’s day! The petty revenge will make him feel better!”

“No guys, it’s ok!” Dick yelled, looking around.

“No it’s not, dick!” Stephanie gasped, looking at Jon.

“lol at him! He looks terrible!”

“But this is not of my better days?” Jon whispers to himself.

Damian walked into the room, already talking before surveying the carnage.

“Jonathan, I have revived a disturbing text message so I am willing to let you-“ he said before stoping and seeing his siblings.

“We’ll come back to this later.” Damian said abruptly thinking of something else he could do instead of his planned thought.

Jonathan looked at Damian, trying o adjust his yellow beanie.

“I’m confused on what’s happening- ow! Why’d you slap me?” He asked, looking up at Damian.

Damian was gonna offer him a hug, but his siblings were here. So no affection must be showed.

“Because you tried to hurt me cr- friend.”

“What? But I’m your friend- I’m your friend?”

Jon said the last part looking at Damian with hopeful eyes.

“It was a false alarm Damian.”

“Oh.” Damian turned back to Jon.

“Go fuck your self then, never mind.”

He said, about to walk out.

“Ignore that.” Dick said, shooting Damian a look. “We’re happy you’re ok Jonathan.”

“Thanks but,” Jon started, looking up.

“Am I really so fragile that you think even the slightest provocation will send me hurtling into taking my own life?”

“Considering the circumstances of how you came to live with us, yes.”

Jon paused, then frowned.

“Oh.” He said softly, then Damian yanked his beanie down.

“Hey!”

“That’s for making my friend sad!”

“This cycle is vicious!”

part one: Jon the weed dealer.

im writing a book.

i dont think its very good, but heres a snippet if your intrested:

Light poured in through the windows, the checkers red curtains nullifying the light as it came, giving it a healthy bit of colour before hitting the floor and table.

The floors idly creaked from abundant use. The oak wood they were made from growing older throughout the years. Still as beautiful in its creation though, even if a little bit weathered.

Throughout the silence that enveloped a room there was a disturbance to this tranquil peace, the sound of someone waking up startled, then promptly rolling off the table they were placed on accidently.

.

.

.

Stevan fell off from table he was placed on top of when he was unconscious, it was more a counter then a table but that wasn’t his main concern. His main concern was that he woke up in a house he didn’t recognise, and he didn’t know if he was alone.

His eyes scanned the room, trying to see if there was any semblance of a memory he could bring up, from the floor he looked out the window above him on the wall, though he just saw sky.

That was strange.

Stevans head throbbed as he lifted his hand to it, he grimaced as he realised it was bandaged. He managed to pull himself into a sitting position as he exhaled a sigh of relief, but said relief was short lived as he felt a sharp pain through his chest and looked down.

His torso was covered in bandages. They were way too tight, crusty on the outside because they were drying there but wet against his skin as he shifted to tug at them, attempting to rid himself of the offending garment. It proved futile, whoever did these knew how to do it properly, and both ends of the bandages were probably somewhere around his shoulder blades, so he couldn’t undo them if he tried.

He grabbed the table side and gritted his teeth as he managed to pull himself up, pain racking through his body as he managed to his feet. He leant heavily onto the table, the only thing keeping him up at the moment, besides the adrenaline. As he attempted to stand on his own, he realised his mistake immediately.

His bare feet pressed against the wooden floor at full weight, which was fine. But his knees buckled when his muscles tensed, due to the fact that he was currently very injured.

Stevan managed to fling himself back onto the kitchen wall, probably not the best idea but he managed to stay somewhat upright as he grabbed the counter he had previously rolled off. Although he didn’t have time to properly regain his balance as he heard footsteps walking into the room, his head warily looking forward, his eyes fixed on the door.

He was incredibly surprised at what stood before him. A woman. She had long black hair, a deeply tanned skin, rectangle body shape, she was bloody tall, and a sharp face.

Which were all fine traits, until you factor in the feathers going up the backs of her arms, meeting and covering her shoulders and then climbing up her neck all the way to the back of her head and just behind her ears. The talons thar replaced nails, longer and sharper than a human as if they were made to slash and tear. The fact that the whites of her eyes were pitch black, the colour of her eyes was a bright amber and her pupils were slits. The biggest thing that caught him off guard though? The massive black wings protruding from her back.

She smirked at him, obviously amused by something. Stevan shivered a bit at that, it was intimidating, and he could very well see that the canine teeth were slightly bigger than a human.

“Hey Alex?” she called back into the hall, not taking her eyes off Stevan till she continued her sentence exiting the room.

“Your dumbass humans awake.”

Stevan bristled at that last comment, he personally did not appreciate being called a dumbass. Especially when he was injured and confused. He heard a voice start to respond to the women’s voice but did not manage to catch what was being said, already too preoccupied with looking for something to defend himself with, snooping through draws and looking in cupboards.

He was sure the woman was a threat; he had never even seen anyone that looked like that. He knew he had no prior evidence to suggest she was someone bad, but she gave him the creeps.

A new person entered the room. A male this time, he looked like her. Same wings, except he had some grey feathers. Not due to age, he looked younger than her, shorter too. Same hair but it was down to his shoulders with a grey streak in the front on the left side. Same skin tone and eyes almost exactly, except he had freckles dusting the bridge of his nose, and his skin was a tad darker than hers. Stevan would’ve been enamoured if he cared to take a better look, but he had more pressing matters on his mind at the moment.

The other man looked at Stevan, not hostilely but not entirely transparent either. He looked just as guarded as Stevan, but for varied reasons.

Stevan was guarded because he was scared and did not know where he was or why he was here. The other man was guarded because humans are inherently stupid and impulsive, and he had not interacted with many without them going hostile. So, he had to be careful not to spook the one in his kitchen.

“Hello human. Please do not be alarmed, my name is ale- “he stated before he stopped seeing the human grab something from his draw, the stupid human had found a knife.

Stevan tightly gripped the meat cleaver he had found in both his hands, clearly inexperienced. His hands shook slightly as hr gripped the handle; he silently cursed them.

“Stay back… you. I will not hesitate to defend myself if necessary.” Stevan warned, making a stabbing motion with the meat cleaver.

“You can’t stab anyone with that type of knife.” The man said, gesturing to the meat cleaver’s point. Stevan did not get what he was pointing out.

“I-. what?”

“You can’t stab anyone with that thing.”

“Wait why not?”

“It is a meat cleaver; it’s meant for slicing. If you want to stab someone you need one with a point, otherwise you’re hitting someone with a blunt object, the big one right there would be more effective.”

“Huh- “

Stevan paused, looking down at the knife and turning it in his hand. The man did have a point. He looked at the other man, refusing to break eye contact as he put the knife on the counter and slowly grabbed a chef’s knife instead.

The other man’s eyes widened a little actually, he was trying to educate and offer the knowledge to the human trusted him and learned. Not so he could be on the other side of the knife, it was strange how humans thought processes worked.

“Could you refrain from turning that on me?”

Stevan was perplexed, the guy told him how to use a knife then asked not to be stabbed after giving him the right advice to do it? Ridiculous.

“Uh, why should I?”

The man did not react badly on the contrary. He placed his finger on the knife and lowered it down. For some reason, Stevan let him. The man took a step back once he did, looking back up at the other.

“The woman you encountered earlier before was my sister, the tall intimidating one. I don’t think she’d be pleased if a human stabbed her brother.”

That did pause Stevan. Of course that was the case. He had two kidnappers, not one. This made it harder to fight back, escape, anything like that. And it didn’t help his captors didn’t look human.

“Where do we go from here then?” Stevan asked, slightly raising the knife to keep a distance between them. He was still on edge, and very wary of the other.

“You could start by the knife down and telling me what you remember. like your name, I’m Alexander.” Alexander said, nodding his head slightly and gesturing for Stevan to go.

Stevan lowered the knife slightly, but he didn’t let go, he wasn’t going to be doing that for a while.

“I don’t feel secure enough to put this down, but I’ll meet you halfway and lower it.” Stevan said, Alexander smiles slightly and nodded. His canines poking out slightly.

“And, now that you mention it, I can’t remember… anything. Not just in the past few days but, in the past, - well forever, I’m not entirely sure what my name even is.”

This was the realisation Stevan came to as he spoke, he hadn’t given it much thought before this, but it was just blank.

Like trying you search for a book you accidently lost, or trying to find something you long since got rid of.

“I see.” Alexander said cooly, not unfriendlily instead like he was deep in thought. “Well, its lucky your shirt is labelled, it said your name was Stevan. With an A. unless you stole or borrowed this shirt but I’ll assume Stevans your actual name.”

Stevan slowly nodded. He knew one thing at least. “Why am I here?” Stevan asked quietly, whenever he tried to think back his head hurt. And in all honesty? He was scared. He was a scared wounded man, in a strange house with people who aren’t human.

Alexander tilted his head to the left, his eyebrows knitting together sympathetically as he stared at the other. He sighed, running a hand through his hair and closing his eyes for a moment before looking back and facing him.

“I found you; you were passed out face down at the divide, you had managed to get yourself caught on the rocks, blood was dripping all over and pouring down the river. I wasn’t just going to leave you like that, even if you are a human.”

“I have…. No recollection of that, at all.”

“That’s… not a good problem to have.”

Alexander said concerned, he walked forward, ignoring how Stevan’s grip on the knife tightened and looked at his head. “I didn’t think your head injury was that bad, it wasn’t cut up as bad as your chest. I have to assume head trauma. Come, sit. I need to check redo that chest bandage, I’m sure it’s not comfortable.”

Stean didn’t even get a chance to respond as he was led to a couch in the next room, it was a nice forest green, like the trees outside. Well, he assumed like the trees outside, it was odd though, the back of the couch was missing its bottom. Which confused Stevan till the other sat down and put his wings through the part on the bottom so he wouldn’t sit on and hurt them. Stevan actually enjoyed that a little, it was very clever.

“I’m not going to hurt you, I swear it. Just please let me fix the bandages, I’ll need you to give me the knife, its going to hurt and I don’t want you to hurt either of us if you accidently flip out.”

Stevan didn’t like that idea at all, clutching the knife tighter and leaning back slightly. Alexander saw the issue and sighed; it was understandable for the human to be nervous.

But it was a little annoying he wasn’t listening to important information.

“Ok, I understand your hesitation, but how about we compromise? You put your knife down on the table while I fix that? Then ill get you a Propper dagger and a sheath so you can feel safe, but not without kitchen utensils?” Alexander offered, trying to make the human feel safer.

Stevan slowly placed it on the table although he was slightly tensed up. He didn’t really want to or feel comfortable with doing so, but things would go nowhere if he didn’t.

even so, as he placed it down a knot formed in his stomach, he still had that irrational fear he was going to get hurt, by the stranger who had shown him nothing but kindness. In all honesty? He felt a little bad.

Alexander saw this, and he got it. He didn’t want to make the human feel uncomfortable, but again he had had limited interaction with humans, and they were normally hostile. Even if this human didn’t appear to be, from what he’s gathered? Humans are just plainly hostile in nature.

Alexander sat closer to Stevan, huffing a little that the other pulled away. That wasn’t going to help anyone, he started by getting a good look at the dishevelled bandages, assessing what needed to be done.

They were discoloured and sticky by now, being dark crimson and a bit brown. It proved they were quite old, and definitely needs replacing before anything else, or before the wound gets infected.

He slowly cut and peeled away at the bandaged, but he thought having sharp metals and objects around the human would frighten him, so he used his talons instead.

He had sharp talons instead of nails, the talons carefully cut away the sticky bandages, avoiding skin and wound area, being incredibly careful as to what he cut. From what Stevan had saw, his talons looked more maintained than the other woman’s talons, his were slightly shinier.

Stevan slightly flinched as the fabric was pulled away, did it hurt?

Well slightly, it was peeling slight scab off the still bleeding wound, but it was more uncomfortable than anything. The crunchy wet sound that he heard made him gag.

As he worked on it, Alexander informed Stevan that the bleeding had not fully stopped, but it had slowed very much to a snail’s pace. Which was better than how it was gushing at the divide at which he was found.

As Stevan stared at the gaping wound he kind of wanted to touch it. It made sense, it was something new. And he was only human, after all. And he had never felt anything like that before. He slightly raised his hand, intent on picking at it before Alexander caught his wrist, giving him a disbelieving look. Stevan avoided eye contact, yanking back his wrist softly as Alexander stared at him.

“Hey- “

“Don’t pick at your wound. It’s already really bad.”

“……ok?”

Stevan was surprised at how worried he sounded, and was left to muse on that as Alexander used some wet cloth to clean the wet and dry blood that had dripped on his stomach either now or had dried there when the wound was first made.

Alexander looked away to grab dry clothes to dry the disgusting sight, and Stevan reached down and tried to wipe off some of the water mixed with blood covering his chest. It was so sticky; he took a deep breath as he looked down, knowing it would make him slightly sick. He regretted it almost instantly, gagging. He decided to look up and instead saw that Alexander was distracted grabbing a set of new bandages. So, being human, Stevan seized his chance and touched the wound. Instantaneously he yanked his hand back, a gasp escaping his lips as he felt a sharp sting he hadn’t felt before.

Alexander, who was rummaging through draws, heard the gasp from the kitchen and groaned. He grabbed the bandages quickly and turned on his heel, rushing over and grabbing a wipe.

“Stupid, stupid humans. Always impulsive, never even try to think.” He ranted, muttering under his breath as he shot a look over at Stevan, who had the decency sense to try to look sorry, but lacked the common sense to not snark back, which he did.

“If all humans seem to be the bane of your existence, with through your words you’ve made abundantly clear, why’d you go into your own trouble and out of your way to try save me?”

Alexander froze, halting his unwrapping of bandages as he looked at Stevan with pity? Disbelief? Whatever it was Stevan didn’t like it.

“Because I’m not going to let some idiots die, I don’t want the fact that I could’ve saved you but didn’t to be petty on my conscience.”

“I’m not an idiot.” Stevan tried to protest, going to sit up and attempt shove the other, but feeling a huge jolt of pain through his body, he fell back against the couch, making a sound between a gasp and an ‘ompf.’

Alexander stopped doing what he was, sighing. As he put down the bottle, he was about to pour onto the rag he was going to use to clean Stevans wounds.

“You’re probably not ready to try use rubbing alcohol on that wound? I mean that’s just my assumption; we can always try-”

He didn’t even get a chance to finish. Stevan didn’t bother to answer with words, just making a very intense noise of disagreement.

thinking of other trauma related reasons, if you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

is there a lore reason that Octavian has white hair in ur survived AU or is it just cuz it looks cool?

stress after like, weeks being paralysed in the grass basically in excruciating pain. And then it didn’t get better after he found out he had to take care of a child, and then realised said child was a Child of Kronos and his father wanted him for a sacrifice to get a physical body, and Octavian has to like, not let the child do that.
