two famous and successful idols

who happen to be both of your brothers

and coincidentally, always in competition with each other

it would be an interesting experience to say the least… but of course, like every other siblings, you guys do get into a lot of fights 😭

the fights are usually between rei and ritsu though lol

you’ll always be the one to break the fight

other than that, they’re really sweet!

rei likes to listen to you ramble about mundane topics

i also like to think that he’s always the one to buy you desserts or maybe some trinkets as little gifts

please keep his presents carefully 🙏 that’s kind of his way to say that he cares for you

ritsu on the other hand likes physical touch and quality (nap) time

he sometimes brings you around places to look for mao or just to find a place to sleep

ritsu does NOT like it when you hang out with rei and would pull you away if he feels like you’ve been hanging around him for too long

he cannot have his favorite sibling giving someone else more attention 💀

but anyways, whenever the bros have concerts, just seeing you in the crowd gives them more confidence and motivation

you’ll always be cheering them on! no matter the circumstances

they’re your brothers and you wouldn’t trade them for anything (i hope)

upon entering the ballroom, you were quite literally starstruck.

the hall was gorgeously decorated with maroons and whites (natsume's colors, you noted); there were roses everywhere, cold white lighting for the entire hall, but you did spot some stage lights and an actual smaller stage in a corner. 

you were so busy admiring the decor and ambience you never noticed the redhead admiring you, or his mother slowly sauntering over in your direction. 

“hello dears, i hope you’re enjoying the party so far?”

you snapped out of your daze to notice an older woman who looked strikingly similar to the boy standing next to you, and your eyes widened a faction. “mrs. sakasaki! yes, the venue looks gorgeous!” you turned to her and bowed deeply in respect, “it’s a pleasure to meet you, i’m y/n l/n!”

the woman giggled and reached for your shoulders, pushing you to stand up, “i know, dear. my natsume talks about you all the time. i’m very happy to know you’re as lovely as he makes you out to be.”

“okay, that would be enough– don’t you have a speech to make?” the redhead steps in then, embarrassed his mother outed him like that. 

“oh dear, you’re quite right. i must go now, but i do hope we can continue our conversation later. please, excuse me,” and she walks off towards the stage, where she taps the mic to grab everyone's attention.

“hello and welcome, i’m so glad everyone could make it on this special occasion,” the woman continues her welcome speech while you unintentionally zone out. you were never quite good at paying attention during speeches– though you wish this one time you could have. then, suddenly, one of the five eccentrics saunters by in front of you, shortly followed by another with a bounce in his step.

kanata and rei, you noted.

shu follows soon enough, and inevitably wataru comes after him– the difference being wataru snatching natsume away from you with a cheeky wink and grin.

it appears you’re not the only one confused as natsume looks equally, if not more, flabbergasted as you.

with those events you finally zone back into the speech, only to suddenly see not only mrs. sakasaki standing on the podium, but also the five eccentrics, “now, please welcome these talented young men, known as the five eccentrics, to the stage to perform a song in honor of our achievements throughout the years. thank you for coming and please enjoy the rest of the night!”

natsume no longer looks as flabbergasted as before when rei tosses him a mic and the instrumental to ‘eccentric party night’ starts playing, yet you can still clearly tell nobody bothered to inform him of this happening.

the eccentrics came together in a wonderful show of flashing lights, strong vocals, fluid movements and joyous grins. clearly, they missed performing and just having fun together. the audience also enjoyed the show– how could they not, the radiant smiles of the eccentrics were, quite literally, infectious. 

that was, until the music faded and the colors of the lights changed to purple and blue. the instrumental of eccentric party night slowly merged into the instrumental of romancing cruise and the four eccentrics jumped off the podium only to switch places with sora and tsumugi and bring on another wave of joy with the newest switch song, giving the place a more romantic ambience.

just like at the concert you were invited to a while ago, natsume's winks were directed at you. 

the lyrics too, but you didn’t need to know that just yet.

the starstruck gaze you were giving natsume didn’t go unnoticed by your companions. kohaku and tsukasa shared knowing looks, while mao just stared– something akin to heartbreak in his own eyes.

you sighed, fiddling with your fingers while waiting for the others to arrive. the creaking sound coming from the sewing class door entrance caught your attention and your head turned.

“oh, yer here already [name]? i didn’t take ya for the early type.” mika chuckled as he closed the door behind him. you hummed, “yeah, me neither. i didn’t take shu for the late type.” you rest your head lazily on your arm picking at the wood on the desk.

the door suddenly burst open, kuro and shu standing where the loud bang came from. “we’re here!” shu announced, a black box in his arms and kuro standing tall behind him.

“yer usually not this late, oshi-san. where’ve ya been?” mika rushes to him and tilts his head, “and what’s that box yer holdin’?”

“we’re doing secret santa, don’t ya remember mika?” kuro pats him softly on the head, “let’s get this on with. we only have a few days until christmas.”

REI SAKUMA

lmao poor man’s gonna be confused and a little hurt to see you running away from him at the speed of light. when he arrived at the main entrance of the academy you were in, he sent a quick and simple text to notify you he was waiting by the usual spot. it has been a few months since he graduated but to him, the memories of him and his fellow idol mates and peers graduating was still crystal clear in his mind. 

rei ignored the curious and awed gazes he received from the students around him. unlike kaoru, he wasn’t a flirter and he was very loyal to his significant other; you of course. his crimson orbs scanned the sea of people, managing to spot you with ease. the leader of undead pushed himself off the wall, ready to greet you and was utterly confused when you turned and fled, as if someone was chasing you. 

rei didn’t made any movement to follow you, since he doesn’t have the stamina to do (lmao he’s old now). instead, he called you and you sheepishly answered on the second beep. 

“my dear, why did you ran away? you’re hurting this old man’s heart,” he asked, amused. 

“ah... sorry about that, rei. i didn’t want to ruin your reputation since you’ve become a idol now, and i didn’t want any rumors to be spread around,” you replied, embarrassed. 

needless to say, he was touched by how sincere you sound and how selfless you were by putting him above yourself. on the other hand, rei was even more amused, since he finds that selfless personality of yours adorable. 

“don’t worry, it doesn’t matter whether what the public thinks. it doesn’t matter how it would affect my reputation too. all that matters is being with you, my dear. so would you be so kind to come out now, before i get burnt from the harsh rays of sun.” 

ISARA MAO. 

isara thought he had seen it all. he thought after dealing with his idol mates and childhood friend, he had seen it all and would never be surprised again. what he didn’t except is to see you running away the moment you spotted him waiting by the gates of your academy. his first thought was maybe you had forgotten something and simply went back to retrieve them.

when ten minutes passed and you were nowhere to be found, isara starts to get worried. he sent you a few texts, wondering where you went and asked if you had gotten lost in your ridiculously large and grand campus. the idol nearly laughed out loud when you texted back within the next few seconds.

it turns out with him being a proper idol now, you didn’t want to ruin his reputation and caused a bunch of wild rumors to spread around the industry. isara knows how greedy people could be, willing to do anything to make trickstar topple when they were considered a brand-new idol group.

he gave on texting and proceeds to call you instead. it didn’t took you long to answer and you greet him with a meek hello. isara could visualized the flustered expression in his mind and the thought made him smiled.

“you don’t have to do that, you know? who cares what they think? none of those matters because you’re more important than them.”

LEO TSUKINAGA. 

as compared to the mentioned two, leo won’t remained still and watched you running away like a maniac. he does what a normal person would do (he’s insane actually): chase after you. frankly, if anyone from knights were there and see their leader chasing after his significant other without caring how they were gaining weird stares, they would consider leaving on the spot and kick him out (they can’t do that).

“(name), why are you running from me!? i’ve returned after so long and this is how you treat me? not even sena runs at the mere sight of seeing my face!” his loud voice boomed across the campus and it was expected when he easily caught up with you.

the composer grabbed your wrist, forcibly tugging you towards him and captured you in his arms with a tight grip, not tight enough to hurt you. leo was unfazed with how much you struggled and flapped your arms like a wild chicken. he ignored how the students were steering clear of the two of you. what matters more right now was how he finally gets to see you.

“wahaha, i caught you! tell me why you ran away, or i won’t let you go and hold onto you forever!” he declared, using his ex-status as a king. although, that doesn’t work in your relationship since you weren’t a knight.

it didn’t took you long to surrender and accept your fate. you went limp in his grip and sighed, looking everywhere else expect him.

“well... with how your becoming popular after graduating, i didn’t want to ruin your reputation and caused any stupid rumors from spreading. it might impact your life and i don’t want that to happen-”

you were interrupted by a loud round of laughter. you huffed your cheeks, reaching out to pinch and stretch out his cheeks. his laughter were then replaced by cries of pain, and how you were going to pinch away his inspiration at this rate.

“what’s so funny?” you asked, stopping your action.

“i didn’t know you were the type to think about those things! but well, who cares? i don’t know why you said the thing about impacting my life, when it won’t. without you, i won’t be able to compose any songs and i don’t want a furious sena chasing me around with a knife! besides, i need you by my side or i’ll refuse to compose anymore songs!” leo exclaimed, now holding you by your shoulders and staring straight into your soul.

you rolled your eyes, acting exasperated but the smile on your face said otherwise. you give him a peck on the cheek, chuckling at how his cheeks turned pink. it was amusing to see despite how you have been together for nearly three months.

“all right, i’ll listen to you. shall we get going then?”

“oh, wait! inspiration has arrived, i need to write this down!”

“huh? leo wait, you can’t write on the walls- LEO!”

“—No thank you.” How many has it been since then? “I'm not interested.” Rejection after rejection.

You could only stare as Rin turned down another box of chocolates one of the girls prepared for him on this specific day. You watched as the expression on the girls face turned sour, nose scrunching, and forced a quivering smile out of her.

“Ah, I see.” You watched as she walked away in a solemn manner. Yeah, you watched.

That's what you've been doing all day. You watched as your best friend rejected every person that dared to offer him anything on Valentines, and each time you see another one approaching—it strikes fear within your heart.

Because you knew, had you not decided to be a wuss and hide the love letter in your bag earlier that morning—you'd probably be the one in their shoes. Rin gestured for you to follow him after a few seconds of standing in the middle of the hallways, and you reluctantly followed, a bit tired now that you've finally reached the end of the day.

You heaved a heavy sigh, “Are you tired?” Rin asked, staring while you stretched your back. You hummed, before chuckling, “A bit, I got pushed around by your fans a lot. But it was worth it, seeing them all fawn over you was hilarious.” You joked.

It was true though, no matter how painful their harsh pushes past you were—seeing them fight over one guy was funny to watch. Even if that one guy was the person you were currently unrequited with. Rin stayed quiet, one hand reaching over to unzip his bag and rummaged through it.

You stared in anticipation, not sure as to what he was looking for. “Here.” To your surprise, Rin held a box of chocolates in front of you. Your eyes widened, wondering where and when he got the chocolates, “It's from one of the people who gave it to me, I'm not sure who, I forgot.” You being the tired person you were, thought nothing of it and instead slowly held the end of the box while his fingers tightly gripped onto the other one.

“I don't really like chocolate, they taste like wax.” He murmured quietly, a small stitch to his eyebrows already said a lot about what he felt. “They're lukewarm, right?” You playfully teased, and Rin unsurprisingly nodded his head in agreement.

“Alright, I'll see you tomorrow then.” You hummed, usually the two of you go home together, so why is he in a rush now? “Aren't we gonna go home together?” You asked way too quickly, not even considering that fact that he must be tired after being the star of the whole school earlier.

“Sorry, that sounded desperate...” Your apology was immediately followed by an awkward laugh. Rin lightly shook his head, “It's fine. I'm just... Tired. Bye.” You rose a brow, he said bye a little too quickly just now. Just what is going on in his head?

Rin slowly began to walk away while you looked back down at the crimson box in your hands, lightly staring at it before it hit you.

“Wait. You never accepted any of their chocolates.” Rin paused, almost like he'd been caught. Your eyes widened, a blush immediately creeping up your cheeks when you finally realized.

“You bought me these?!” You yelled, a little too loudly. You covered your mouth and whispered a small apology to nobody in particular. Rin did not dare to turn around, instead he gave you a small wave, “I'll see you tomorrow.” He said, before continuing to walk—just a little bit faster this time.

You smiled widely and ran to his side, not letting him escape when he'd just done the sweetest thing anyone has ever did for you. “That is so sweet of you.” You lightly nudged his side. “Thanks, I really appreciate it.” Rin stayed quiet, too busy staring at the gate ahead of him, before he sighed when the silence that followed was too unbearable.

“... You're welcome.”
