There’s no such thing as work-life balance for neurodivergent & chronically ill people.

This is because everything in my life requires work:

maintaining friendships

keeping up with my hygiene

managing bills

making money

remembering my basic needs

sleeping regularly

outputting creatively

All requires some aspect of work for me.

And when everything in your life requires work, your balance goes out the window.

If you're neurodivergent and overwhelmed — I see you.

If you're chronically ill and overwhelmed — I see you.

You're not dysfunctional.

You're not incapable.

You're doing your best.

A 16 year old Roma boy was shot in the head over a $20 gas bill by Greek police officers. The teenager filled up his vehicle with $20 (£17) of petrol and then left. CCTV released on Tuesday revealed that four policemen were inside the petrol station at the time.

The officer fired two shots at the 16-year-old Roma boy in the second biggest city Thessaloniki.

According to the Council of Europe, the Roma (Gypsies) are Greece's biggest minority and number some 270,000, mostly living in makeshift accommodation.

Hearing other peoples' stories about when they were in school confirms my suspicions that some people only become teachers because there's a limited line of careers where it's socially acceptable for a whole grownup to be personal enemies with a 12-year-old, and they lack the creativity it would take to become a saturday morning cartoon villain.
