Hawks actually likes modelling and it was something he chose to do as a side gig. Commission didn't force him to become one, and he just like to do it because he gets to wear all the shinies and enjoys the benefits of being one.

"Oh, hey you gotta work with this model today ajd are going to do a photoshoot advertising the new line of clothing coming out."

Hawks? He loves it, because not only does he get to socialize with others, he also has the ability to wear something he never thought he would ever get to wear.

He is also recognized as more than a hero on the streets. He is seen as, 'oh, doesn't he also model?, Yeah! I've seen some of the work he has done and it is a must see. We should get an autograph! Totally!'

Of course he loves being a hero. Except he isn't a hero to himself. He is a soldier molded by the commission to do the dirty work that would make most other heroes quit on the spot, if they had to do what Hawks did. He has no privacy, and prefers to keep to himself unless neccessary. Even though the commission is doing things in the background to deal with villains, he still is needed to take care of other things, other heroes would see as unethical. And it is. A hero should never ignore his duties, even if it ia to gain the trust of villains. That wouldn't show you sympathize with their cause, it just shows that you don't care about being a real hero and only care for the fame it gives you. Which is the opposite of what Hawks truely believes in. Hawks wants to be a hero, but he wants to be his own hero. Not a hero made to keep an image and make the public think he is what he isn't.

So yeah. He likes modeling. It's his little escape from reality.

Fanon hawks who had his feathers forcefully removed all over his body except for his wings. Removed and made to never grow back. The commission deemed them useless and a hazard to his work. Fanon let it happen and while it doesn't bother him anymore, he still gets the feeling that his feathers were never removed. When those times comes, he often gets upset over his feathers being removed. He swears at times he can still feel them, but becomes disheartened when he remembers they were removed.

This is brought up one day after a hard day at work. He was depleted of all his feathers, yet still had to meet Dabi at their usual spot for intel. During that meeting Dabi had made a snarky remark about Hawks getting too close due his wings being depleted of feathers and Hawks with no weapon. Fanon Hawks had quirked his head in a questioning manner, exclaiming he still had feathers. When he went to pull up his sleeve to show his feathers, all that could be seen was his bare arm. Fanon blinked for a moment talking to himself.

"Oh right, they aren't there anymore..."

Dabi rolled his eyes and told him he still wasn't ready to join the league. After their meeting Fanon left to go back home, whilst Dabi started to make his way back to the LOV base. On his walk back he couldn't help but get what Fanon had said, out of his head. What did he mean by there weren't there anymore?

I hate to say it but for someone doing the work Hawks does, it 100% makes more sense to tuck your jacket sleeve into the glove and have the edge of the glove be fuzzy

No worries! I just want to want to make sure people understood that there was a reason I have the other blog. It's also just that, while I can get into detail about 18+ asks, I will not on this blog. My other blog, yes, this one, no. I could have answered your asks, but they would be very broad and more than likely not what most people would expect/like. Hope my explanation clears up any mishaps!

Hawks crying in a corner over the fact that Dabi left in the middle of the night and is worried he left him. Only for Dabi to come back an hour later with some fast food and sees Hawks in the corner crying his eyes out. When Hawks sees Dabi he rushes to him engulfing him in a big hug and cries in his chest about how mad he is that he left him. So now Dabi is having to calm him down and explain how he was hungry and went out to get some food and even got him some chicken nuggets. This makes Hawks stop crying and forget Dabi, as he is now invested on the chicken nuggets and making happy bird noises as he eats them. Dabi just sighs and eats his food knowing that Hawks was probably hangry since they both skipped out on dinner.

Feeling a lot better after... 5 or 6 days of being sick. Still have a bad cough and nasal congestion, but I feel more energized and am going to get to asks and all that. Fuck the rain, love you guys!

people love saying hawks was forced to when I did a whole ass breakdown with...i forgot how many notes it got, on how Hawks was ORDERED to kill Jin but then DIRECTLY DISOBEYED THE HPSC BY NOT IMMEDIATELY KILLING HIM and offering him an out that Jin refused. No. Stop. Do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars.

Hawks had agency in this decision. The HPSC were banking on Jin dying immediately for their plans with the Re-Destro clone. Hawks fucked that up by offering Jin an out - if he was willing to fuck up the commission's plans by giving Jin clemency, he could have chosen not to kill him and ACTUALLY was telling us he didn't want to kill him up until a PAGE of the actual deed.

it's like some people didn't read the manga.
