Ik some people were like “Hunter no join the rebellion we have cookies” but like, he doesn’t want that life anymore. Taking orders, dying for a cause he hardly believes in, he just wants to keep his family away from all that, and live his best life. (Ik he’ll probably cave and join anyway later on, but still) I support 💯

We are getting fed so well with the Echo content. I love seeing him getting more screen time, and his desire to help with rebelling against the Empire. It’s makes for some interesting conflicts within the batch as a whole, and is most likely going to be an ongoing point. Love him ❤️ NO LIE THO HE WAS KINDA INTIMIDATING THESE EPISODES FOR NO REASON?? IDK WHAT IT WAS BUT BRO WAS PRODUCING SOME MEAN AURA WITH OMEGA FOR A SECOND but then he said “please” to her in such a way that I almost cried lmao (and the way he fell in the beginning 😭 so precious actually)

going to kinda play devil's advocate here... ok so at first, i too was laughing at how Hunter, Crosshair, and Wrecker seemed so ridiculously confident - slightly egotistical, even?? - in taking on Asajj Ventress of all people

and yes, they do show far more confidence than most others would. i'm guessing it's due to a few reasons (self-confidence, or ego, in their skills; underestimating or simply unaware of how powerful Ventress really is).

but ultimately, i'm not so sure they're fighting her to win, or even looking for a fight in the first place... Ventress is the one playing with them, wanting to stick around to "finish testing Omega", when there's not much in it for her (unless Ventress was hoping for an apprentice??). they know she was once an assassin. they asked her to leave and she refused. Hunter even looks over to both Wrecker and Crosshair as if confirming "let's remove her ourselves then, yeah?"

so i think it's not about confidence exactly, it's that they feel like don't really have a choice, and they will die to protect Omega; the 'confidence' is really "we will literally do anything to protect Omega and we're not going down without putting up a fight. doesn't matter who you are, what weapons or skills you have, what magic powers. we will fight to the death for her."
