ok, so hear me out: Jesper, slowly unmasking himself around Wylan

Because he realises that he can fidget, play with coins, twist revolvers when he is nervous or bored, and walk around the room and make funny remarks while he is reading documents to Wylan, and Wylan will not be annoyed or angry as a lot of people around Jesper were, and if Jesper will really disturb him he will just say, and say it not like he is snapping

And one time when he actually asked Wylan if it was okay that he started walking around the room while reading documents, Wylan just rolled his eyes and said something like "Jes, it is fine, I know you, I wasn't expecting you to sit still for five hours, let's just finish with these agreements with Dryden and make a break, I think you also already hungry" because Wylan doesn't want some calm quiet person to read him documents in monotonic voice while sitting perfectly still, he just wants Jesper and wants him for who he is

buddietommy cuddles in the bed the first night chris is gone though? like. eddie is a mess. truly just. face red, nose snotty, eyes damp. buck isn't fairing much better, both because of chris and because of bobby. tommy makes the executive decision that none of them are going to be alone tonight. they all go back to eddie's house. none of them are hungry but tommy makes his boys eat. heats up leftovers from the fridge, and then drags eddie to the bathroom so he can shower. with the door open, just in case. sets some soft comfy clothes out for him to put on. then it's buck's turn. buck has enough clothes at eddie's house so he sets those out too. tommy is bigger than both of them so he just washes his face + strips his pants off and puts on a too-tight lafd diaz shirt. and then it's bedtime. by mutual and silent decision, eddie is in the middle with buck on his right and tommy on his left. it is a Bad Night for multiple reasons and no one sleeps very well. but. they aren't alone either and that's all that matters tbh

When you want to protect the girls but you're the only true baby on the battlefields.
