Heard some important information on Twitter today, and thought I’d post it here for anyone who may not have heard it. This is actually a thing, devised by human rights organisation called Karma Nirvana.
Reblog to save a life?
Hi. It hurts to do this but I cannot afford to keep my cat while she has special medical needs. She has gingivitis which the vet has recommended needs a consistent treatment. I love her to pieces but above all it's my responsibility that she have a good home who can afford to care for her.
I am loathe to surrender her to a shelter, knowing what kind of malpractice, stress, and negligence can come to an animal there.
She is around six years old, up to date on shots and spayed, a very tiny blue lynx point, incredibly friendly, socialble, and above all extremely docile for a cat. She loves people. She gets very vocal about her needs. In fact, this is the most chatterbox cat I've ever met. She hates sleeping alone and will likely attatch pretty strongly to you if you live with her. She loves being paid attention to and snuggled and can't get enough. And everytime you touch her she'll likely chirp at you.
I'll even provide you a bag of her food and a carrier. If you live around the bay area in CA and want to adopt her, dm for details. Otherwise I appreciate sharing.
a friendly reminder from your local korean blogger that “lunar new year” is inclusive of the many cultures who celebrate, and “chinese new year” should be used only if you’re referring to specifically chinese cultural practices of the new year. thank you!!!
Because there arent many posts like this for transfems here are your reminders to...
Take your estrogen/progesterone! Refill your prescription if you ran out/will run out soon!
Stop tucking if you're experiencing pain, numbness, etc., or have been tucking too long!
Hydrate! Even if you aren't thirsty, if it's been more than a few hours since you drank something, please do!
Be kind to yourself! No matter where you are on your trans journey, know that you are valid and loved. ♡
the universe knows you will learn from your first semester mistakes
second semester is when we all get 4.0s
we got this.
reblog to help a friend
this is the most sophisticated phishing e-mail I have ever received and if they had sized the logo correctly and actually proofread the fucking thing I probably would’ve clicked that button
hey guys just wanted to say that while it’s super awesome that y’all wanna support jews this holiday season, it’s not really appropriate to do the bugs bunny “i wish all ______ a very happy ______” meme for yom kippur. it’s great for sukkot, fantastic for simchat torah, but yom kippur is a day for repentance, remembrance, and forgiveness. it’s probably the most serious holiday we’ve got, so please don’t make light of it. instead of “happy yom kippur”, maybe say something like “have a meaningful holiday”, or “have a healthy fast” for people doing the traditional sundown to sundown fast. yom kippur starts with kol nidre (some people go to services, others just eat a big pre-fast meal, my family does both) september 15th at sundown and lasts until sundown on the 16th. please be conscious of your jewish peers! love, your local jewish nonbinary lesbain
pride month starts tomorrow, but don’t let that distract from continuing to protest and donate in support of black lives matter. here are some black lgbt funds to donate to if you are able:
center for black equity
homeless black trans woman fund
miss major’s monthly fundraising circle
pay black trans women
marsha p johnson institute
google doc full of organizations and funds
also, i know many pride events have been cancelled due to covid-19, but if you are going in public to protest or to another event, please be careful and wear a mask. covid is still going on through all this
