Ghost Helpline part 17 - Aftermath

Violet spends the next week stuck inside. It wasn’t bad. Dad washed, clothed and feed her teleportation sickness away. She sleeps in his bed and he sends her to sleep with fairytales. Violet doesn’t know what she’s supposed to learn from these stories, it’s nice tho.

Violet doesn’t remember being a baby, maybe she never was one? This softness with her new dad leaves her wanting. Violet would like to beige that if she ever was a baby that she had been held like this - as if she was something precious.

Funny enough her bed rest has her brothers divided. Violet lies about and blames it all on a summoning gone wrong. Brad doesn’t correct her.

It leaves half of her brothers to tiptoe around her as if she’s going to go feral at any moment. The other half yell, they’re angry. Konstelacio isn’t sure which she hates more.

Brad shuts himself away from everyone except Chad and Ziyad.

Billy hugs her and tells her everything about his mission. Almost everything he dances around something. Something important, he calls Batman a dick twice. It makes her feel better about lying.

Klarion gives her an amulet and drags Charles over to tell her about their night out.

Dandy … Dandy doesn’t take it well.

“SOMEONE should have been with her!”

“Brad SHOULD have called me!”

It’s been a week since the commotion on the Watch Tower. Six days since they started developing an injectable cure for Vampires Fog. Five days since his talk with Tim. Four days since his kids have begun to mercilessly tease him over more frequent phone use. Three days since he read Nightwings report on the pink vampire. Two days since Constantine had contacted him with an update. They had some more info. One day since he called Clark asking him to schedule a JL meeting.

Six hours thirty two minutes and 54 seconds since Vlad last texted him.

Bruce debated sending him another cat meme to hurry up the process.

He knew he shouldn’t be worried, apparently his only daughter had gotten the flu. And much like Tim, when they got sick they got really sick.

Bruce sent him- her- them! Bruce sent them flowers. Hopefully she would get better soon. It was painfully obvious that Vlad loved his children and her getting sick had him stressing out.

Bruce debated inviting the Masters family over for dinner.

The kids would bully him relentlessly.

Alfred would love it.

The entire week has been strange to Damian. For some reason his father has been texting the head of their new neighbors relentlessly, much to his sibling’s amusement. Damian doesn’t understand why father and him suddenly “need” friends. The whole act was a waste of time, Jon was enough friendship he needed anyway.

Damian stalked into the backyards tree line. Today was good day to paint damian thought as he set up his easel. Just a sunny quiet day with no distractions.

That, that was probably just some animal on the property. It wasn’t uncommon to see bunnies or cats skittering around the areas of estate that still resembled a forest.

Damian followed the sound deeper into the tree line.

She was sitting on a tree branch, swinging her legs like she had no trouble in the world. Tch- she probably doesn’t. No doubt she’s one of his new neighbors.

Wait … hadn’t she been sick recently? What was she doing out here? What was she thinking climbing that high?!

Had my first idea for a dp x dc prompt!

Barely established relationship with a batkid of your choice. Like this is their third date, up to you if any reveals have happened yet. The date happens in a park, the batkid thinks they are being cute and makes a flower crown for Danny.

When it's attempted to be placed on his head, it floats above and catches fire. Danny is still human, hasn't gone ghost or anything but his kingly outfit materializes around him. Cape, armor, ring, aura/pressure the works.

It only lasts a split second because the flower crown was never meant to endure this kind of power. It explodes in a rain of shredded burnt flower bits and ectoplasm. High King Phantom's outfit fades from existence on the mortal plane along with the icy pressure. Perhaps it would have lasted longer if the mortal crown was made of sturdier stuff?

You think the Zone has its version of Comic Con?

Like? Think about it. You have literally all of time to work on it, your Magnum Opus, your life's work. That DREAM comic. All the supplies you could ever wish for. Endless paper. Endless ink. You can practice and practice for CENTURIES until it's JUST right.

Wouldn't you want to share it?

There are definitely Ghosts who have Obsessions that make them collect.

And two people meeting would lead to a group. Lead to a bigger group. Lead to a large group. A gathering. A crowd even. Eventually you need a Lair to meet IN. It becomes An Event.

People hear about it.

Want to bring other art mediums. Food stalls. Report on it. It grows. Shoot offs start happening. Niche meet ups.

But like?

Unlike comic con? It's all FREE. Sure, you might have fork over the ecto to make your copy. And yeah, weaker ghosts can only do that so many times. Will have to prioritize. But? They can come back after leaving for a nap. Ask a buddy to come with. There ARE work arounds.

Just? Imagine the unbelievable HIPE? Danny would feel? But be unable to TELL anyone about? Zone Con happens several times a year! Cause so many people wanna come. The Zone being infinite, after all.

Problem 1? They're using THEIR standard of a "year". Which is actual 5 earth years. So it's only happens every year and a half for him. And Problem 2? He can't even TALK about how excited he is about Z Con with anyone (outside his friends and family) because they haven't heard of it and might Ask Questions.

It's ALSO held in a part of the Zone that's like? Three days of flying away from the portal. And no amount of begging is gonna get any of his loved ones to camp in the Speeder for around six-ish days just to go to a Con.

So you can imagine his DELIGHT. His utter JOY and *Target Spotted* "!!!" Noise, when? In the crowd? He spots A HUMAN! Hi fellow human!!! Omg, wanna be Con Besties? *doesn't even wait for an answer*

Only? Once he inhales like 5 "Fenton rations"? He only gets half way through introducing himself before getting interrupted. Kid hears "magic" and "occult Detective" and just? Goes "oh! So you wanna check out the magic Ally with me? Sam wanted me to pick up some witchy stuff!"

Hey, what if when Freakshows staff and control on the Ghosts in his circus broke and all the Ghosts (but Lydia who seems to be loyal to that clown) ran off, what if two ghosts stayed behind to thank the two teens (Danny and Sam) for freeing them. And maybe ask the Ghost boy a small favor to relay a message to their still living son.

What if those two were The Flying Graysons, John and Mary. (They did die tragically and I wouldn’t put it passed Freakshow to try to take control of the best of the best circus preformers)

What if when they follow Danny after he flies Sam and himself to safety.

What if they see him detransform into his human half and are struck with how much Danny looks like their son.

Is he related to the Graysons? Idk. Could Danny be a long lost son in this AU? Maybe? We could always make him Dick’s unknown son if we want. Just throwing out ideas rn. Any work.

There are certain truths to life:

Batman was always going to exist.

Danny was always going to have a connection to ghosts.

And Vlad will always get his heart broken in the end- really he should have know. Better.

- Wherein Bruce Wayne and Vlad Masters fall in love.

But Plasmius and Batman despise each other.

- Vlad really thought he had found the one this time charming, lovingly ditzy, and much like himself a serial adopter!

And if Bruce’s looks reminded him of Jack, and his sharp whit reminded him of Maddie well it’s not as if Vlad had anyone to tell.

Vlad only had himself to blame really, he had been to blind to see it to stupidly love struck to connect the dots.

Scars nether of them mentioned, they’re respective children being a bit - unusual, running away at awkward times.

The paranoia came later, the insistence on keeping him safe, the begging to have his wizard friend look over his ‘magical’ children “just in case”. The Justice league- Batman- the contingency plans.

Even then Vlad could make a thousand excuses, he could even forgive. The same way he had with….But nothing could go back to the way things were.

Being concerned about his son klarion was reasonable, his clone sons understandable really, his demon daughter (if she hadn’t gotten hurt) mildly fair, but targeting Billy crossed a line!

Dear Tumblr : How many plushies is too many?

My little brother (13) loves plushies. At first it was endearing but now he practically has an entire shelf and closet full of them!!!! They are everywhere (multiple rooms including mine, the kitchen and on one occasion the bathroom).

At what point is it okay to get concerned? Because I think I’m already there.

Okay but this also means they can’t tell the xmen about what happened ether????

Like just yeah Logan came back to life a lot older and sadder and decided to “play” house with a mercenary! Oh no guys something must be wrong!

Meanwhile Logan happy and loving his life with Wade, why do I have this horrible feeling something bad is going to happen again?

Really stupid idea but can you imagine if the TVA swore Wade and Logan to secrecy and then they come back and everyone is so incredibly confused. Like? Wade, what the fuck? Who is Logan and why is he living with you and why does he look like a dead superhero?

Especially with the insinuation that the entire movie timeline spanned over a few days. So Wade goes from hopelessly pining after his ex to bringing home this buff, hairy, muscular guy to live with him without warning after disappearing from his birthday party.

Like he just randomly walked out the door after blowing out the candles, then he mysteriously reemerged with this feral look-don't-touch beast of a man. And he's calling him stupid pet names like "peanut" and "babygirl" and the guy isn't biting his head off?

When asked, Wade just responds that Logan was his best birthday gift ever. Logan's ears turn pink and he covers his mouth to hide the small smile on his face. Wade wraps an arm around his shoulder and grins. Meanwhile, everyone thinks Wade left his own party because of a hook-up call that somehow ended with him landing himself a boyfriend.
