Candy’s P. O. V.

Is there a better feeling than watching the snow fall while you're sitting next to a cosy fireplace? Because I don't think there is. I sipped my hot chocolate as I listened to the TV, but my eyes were on my lover in the kitchen.

Rayan and I rented a cottage in the mountains for the holidays. It was great to have a little time off with just the two of us. Our first day started off calmly, with just getting accustomed to the new place. However, as the night started to fall, the snowing got more and more serious, and the weather forecast didn't sound too encouraging either.

"...we can expect that in the next couple of days heavy snowing will rea..."

With a sigh, I turned it off then headed to the kitchen. Rayan greeted me with a radiant smile when I got in. He put my empty mug down, then took my face in his hands and pressed a kiss on my lips. I remained silent for a while, but he knew me so well.

"Is the storm troubling you?" he asked sweetly. I nodded and let him wrap his hands around me. The thought of staying quiet and enjoying his embrace flashed through my mind, but somehow I still admitted in a low voice:

"I've never been in a snow storm in my life."

I heard him chuckle, but he cleared his throat and forced a serious face when he saw that I was a bit grumpy. He pressed a kiss on my nose as a way of apology.

"Sorry for laughing, that was just too cute." I couldn't be angry at him of course, we were both smiling at this point. "Back to the subject, there's nothing to be afraid of. We're not on the road or out in the nature. We won't get hurt, I promise."

The storm came of course, but nothing happened to us, true to his reassurance. For some reason the thought of sleeping terrified me, so we both stayed awake the whole night. The fire in the furnace burnt down, but the embers were giving out warmth for quite a time. Sitting on the carpet, drinking hot chocolate and sharing our childhood stories about our first snow, the storm was the last thing on my mind.

the accidental ship aka Armin/Jade

+ armin does not want to hike. jade wants to hike. armin complains he does not have boots. jade buys boots. armin still does not want to hike. jade says he can borrow some of his clothes and they’ll have a picnic in the woods. armin agrees to go hiking.

+ (jade’s voice cracks) “aha nerd” “SHUT UP armin i’m going through my second puberty”

+ jade loves wearing weird 80s inspired sweaters and wool shirts. he basically dresses like a hippie and owns too many turtle neck and beanies. armin only owns nerd hoodies and will gladly steal anything that will fit him. 

+ jade eases armin into outdoor activities so it’s not a big shock of really intense stuff that send him back further in his cave. he encourages armin to get a little more sun, vitamin d will help with his mood, he promises. 

+jade owns a lot of plants and names every single one of them. he introduced every one of them to armin. when he gets a new one he’ll send him a picture and ask what its name should be.

+ they definitely smoke weed together from time to time. jade gets really giggly when he’s high and just tells the most absurd stories to make armin laugh. 

+ their first kiss probably happened while they were coming down from a high together and were both very very tired and it just seemed to be the next natural move to make.

+ jade isn’t a big gamer but he sure plays stardew valley and animal crossing and also tried his hand with the sims. playing with someone just makes it even more fun. they end up playing with a big family living on a farm raising chickens. armin shows him all the cheats. 

+ jade is a very chill and sweet, and he can sense sometimes when armin is particularly stressed out and bottling it up, or when his add is acting up, and he just needs to be grounded. jade is very good at that.

+ armin helps him take care of some things in the garden, and take care of his own plants too. he always finds himself smiling when he surprises jade talking to one of them. he says it’s good to talk to inanimate things because you’re sure that they’re listening. 

+ similarly, when jade gets random bouts of dysphoria (ding dong i hc jade is trans) and is just not in the mood, armin will him his space but still make sure that if he needs to talk, armin will be the inanimate object that he can be sure will listen. 

+ jade was 5’7 before starting T and ended up at just a little more than 5’8, and now being almost as tall as armin. he jokes that if only he could get another inch they could settle the Height War

+ neither of them are morning people. well, jade a little more than armin, he’ll most likely get up before 9, but he’s also more likely to take a nap in the afternoon. he’s given up trying to get armin up before 11 on days off.

+ armin learns to like being outside a little more; he learns that he love most of all taking walks at night with jade, when the grass is wet and the air is cool, when the stars shows and they keep their voices down because everything else around them is silent.

11, 13 and 14 ^^

well uh, this ask has been sitting in my askbox for many months now and I didn't receive another ask saying who should I write about, so I took poetic freedom and chose Armin as my subject >:] I'm terribly sorry for disappearing again, hopefully this will be to your liking! it turned out a bit short, but I'm kinda proud of myself as I've been very inactive lately lmao

11. bathing / showering

Armin probably likes to shower "femininely" - the water must be as hot as possible, 3/4 of the time is just spent staring at the wall and thinking about life, and it's a special occasion if he finishes faster than half an hour

it's also not rare that he brings his phone with him and blasts some music (maybe he even sings along, but you do not want to hear that)

he absolutely adores showering with Candy, though I'd imagine that they aren't able to do it much, as their sleep patterns most likely differ (hence they shower at different times as well)

when they do manage to shower together, it very rarely turns into khm.... something else. they tried it out once or twice, but they found it more awkward and funny than sexy

Armin really enjoys cleaning Candy, and it's even better when the favour is returned. if they are bathing, I can even imagine them to try out different kinds of bath salts and bath bombs

13. soft spot / weakness

he would never tell anyone, but he's very, very ticklish. and not just in the "mainstream" parts, even in strange places, like his knees, the back of his neck or his ankles

also, not a "physical" weakness, but chocolate. this man loves his stomach very much, and he'd probably trade his kidneys for some sweets or junk food

on a more serious note, he tries to play things cool most of the time, but he does tend to be overprotective of his loved ones, let that be Alexy, Candy or anyone else close enough to him

14. pregnancy / birth

Today is New Year's Eve, typically my favorite Christmas festivity. But this year is different, this year is harder and sadder, because everything that makes festivities special has been taken away 😭

After this year, I'll never take for granted all the people around me. I'll never take for granted my grandma's cooking and love, my mother's renovated hopes making her the soul of the party, my brother's awkwardness, my teary great-aunt, my grandpa's falling asleep in the midst of chaos, my tipsy uncles, my aunty's cheerfulness, my dear cousin throwing me shrimp's heads, the little children running everywhere... I'll miss our traditions: everyone wearing matching red underwear bought by grandma's, my uncle starting to eat the grapes at the quarter bells, my aunt forgeting at least one grape, jumping on the right foot when the clock strikes twelve, the gold jewelry shining inside champagne flutes during our midnight toast... and midnight hugs and kisses. 

Today there won't be none of that, not for me, not for so many people in the world. Today we won't celebrate this holiday as it should be celebrated (well, whatever your traditions are where you come from), but we'll keep fighting against this pandemic to celebrate the next. We're not close to our old normal yet, but we're getting there. There's more hope for this year to come than we've ever wished for another, and one day more of resisting this is one day less for it to end.

And for mental well-being to come back, thank you very much.

To all my friends here: celebrate as you want or feel, or don't celebrate if you're not up to it. I wish you and your love ones health and safety and love 💕 And to all of you who've lost someone, you who have to see an empty chair, I send you strength and all the virtual hugs in the world.

3. injured

as they are both experienced fighters, they won’t lose their heads if one of them gets hurt. if Guardian was in Absynthe Guard formerly, she can even patch up smaller injuries, no need to go to the infirmary all the time

getting used again to fighting is a bit hard for Guardian though, so she often has smaller cuts on herself

Lance, on the other hands either doesn’t get hurt or he gets hurt seriously, thanks to his armour. Ewelein’s constant orders would make him feel better enough to look for another nurse though, his pride doesn’t let him to be pushed around, no matter his state

19. domestic life

the savior of El and the man who threatened it being together? that’s a strange sight for sure, but the others will slowly get accustomed to it

I imagine both of them to be quite proud and independent, so living together has its challenges: arguments over small things (“you shouldn’t have done it, I told you I would!”), lots and lots of missing things, shy and at the same time sassy apologies (“I’m sorry... but I was right, technically”), and so on and so forth

this is strictly my personal idea, but I think Lance is a terrible cook, while Guardian is a pretty decent one. this would annoy Lance after some point, so the two of them would shoo Karuto out of the kitchen and practice there together

if / when they decide to have kids, I’m sure Lance will have a really strong connection with the them, given his past and how he wouldn’t want his children to lose their parents as well

managing both work and family would be difficult in the beginning, neither of them wants to give up their position at the Guard, so the kids would often spend time with Aunt Karenn and Uncle Chrome

also, I just want Lance to teach his kids how to fight and Guardian to teach them how to braid hair, using Lance as a model 🥺🤭

2017 - 2018 - 2018 - 2019 - 2020

For 2020 I didn’t the board with a drawing from every month to show my growing, but I wanted to do something else related with my grow and I always wanted to do something like this, so I am doing it kkkkk 

Neshaa is the character that since when I started was my personal challenge and, at the same time, my main source of proud. It’s through her that anyone can see my grow, see my struggle, my mistakes and my screamly changes. She’s like that mark that I hit again and again at least once in a year, in a way that May, who came far after, couldn’t. 

2020 was the year when I stopped drawing, I felt stuck, I still feel stuck… but I stopped and I’ve decided that 2021 I would go back, I would start again. But to start again, I needed to look back a little bit and find value once again in the artist that I always wanted to be. 

I hope 2021 I mark another step through her too. And this post is a reminder to myself that even if I started from low, from the bottom, I need to just keep climbing, I will not see the changes at first, but the longer I keep going, soon they will come into view and I will know. Just like I know when I put all of those together and side to side.  

god, I have have no idea why I keep pushing the "Huang Chu and Nevra have a good relationship", but it's canon now. I said so

I just think it would be cute... I imagine Huang Chu to be this little bit sassy, but otherwise helpful person, and I think they could be friends with Nevra??????? but we most likely won't see anything like this in-game, lol

idk why, I like to make up random stuff about Nevra's relationship with others in my head

hmm, it's been long since I've written anything, huh? more than a month wtf

school has been really weighing on me, but luckily it will end soon ^^ my absolute last exam was today, so technically I'm already free \o/
