“Union Station # 14” 6" x 8", Oil on Wood. For those outside of Canada this painting is based on Union Station in Toronto Ontario which is I think Canada’s largest station. . This piece gave me quite a bit of trouble I ended up leaving it alone for about a week because something felt off at the beginning but I couldn’t figure out what. I did small value sketches and I think I finally fixed it. As always let me know what you think of this piece.😊

The sign over the platform with the three primary colour shapes were purposely abstracted and added to the painting. I often add small details to a lot of my paintings with things that interest me. The primary colours are meant to show how to further simplify a concept down to a simplified colour palette.

This is last piece piece I did for my Artist in Residence at @thedrakehotel . This piece is of Rosedale station, a subway station in Toronto Canada. 5 feet x 3.5ish feet chalk on chalkboard. Artist from Portugal living in Canada Ontario. Diogo's work revolves around public transit, this theme was picked to symbolize the speed of city culture. Due to the speed of its culture things tend to get missed, specifically the architecture of urbanscapes.
