Full Release

Hi everyone, as the full release for Flowers of Evil draws to completion, I’d like to make an announcement regarding access to the game!

Due to intense financial difficulty, the completed game will be released first either with a $2 payment on itch.io, or to patrons at the $5/month tier or higher.

After 1 week I will bump the cost down to $1 on itch.io, and after 1 additional week I will bump the cost to optional donation :) I want my art to remain accessible to the general public, but right now I’m struggling to keep food on the table and a roof over our heads, and this is my only income opportunity.

Thank you for being such an understanding and supportive community, I look forward to sharing the completed game with everyone very very soon, and I have lots more games and content in the works!

what can Lowell eat as a guilty pleasure besides soup?

Lowell had a braces phase Canon

Lowell feels a little guilty about everything he eats, he doesn't really feel like he's worth getting his basic needs met. The other things he tends to eat the most often are cooked red cabbage with wine and onions, pumpernickel bread with margarine, and beans straight out of the can 💀 as a treat sometimes he eats salted licorice wheels. He is a phenomenal cook, but he doesn't spend all that much energy on actually cooking for himself. He's likely to go all out and cook you a 3-4 course meal and just sit there with his beans, not even bothering to put them on a plate or heat them up.

He did have braces as a preteen! He was the kind of kid to get horrible sores in his mouth and still insist on eating sour candy, lol

Some lore crumbs for you all !

-Lowell went to culinary school on a scholarship, and mastered in patisserie. He's an incredibly talented baker, but due to his distaste for people and his poor sleep, he's currently working at a night baking position for an outlet bakery. He finds this frustrating, and he's built up a lot of resentment to his position.

-Lowell was raised by a single mother, and he has two younger siblings. He isn't on good terms with his family, but he does worry about his little sisters.

-Lowell's favorite book series is Frog and Toad

-Besides baking and collecting, Lowell's other hobbies are doll restoration and customization as well as textile work. He can sew, felt, knit, embroider, weave, and make lace. He sometimes picks up clothing commissions for both humans and dolls, and he's really eager to see you in some of the clothes he makes.

When is Lowell's birthday? And what holidays does he celebrate? :3c

Lowell's birthday is June 10th! He doesn't really have a set age in the game, just approximately the age of the player, and he sort of lost count of his age anyhow- he doesn't celebrate his birthday, so he hasn't bothered to keep track, and he'd have to do some mental math if you asked him.

Lowell has a- complicated relationship with most holidays. Because he's a commercial baker, he ends up doing a lot of the kitschy baked goods for various holidays en mass, and he has to work a lot of overtime. He likes the idea of celebrating Valentines day the most, though, and decorating those cakes and pastries is his favorite.

He does personally celebrate Halloween (different frog costume every year), Krampusnacht, and Walpurgisnacht!

what was Lowell like in high school? and also who are the people he’s killed??

he was deeply invested in scene culture, a bit of a stoner, and terrible at studying. Didn't really have any friends to speak of. He spent most of his time with his headphones in refusing to participate or hold a conversation with anyone.

He's killed a few people by now! didn't always have a reason :) you aren't the first dolly he's had, but sometimes the arrangement ended... poorly.
