Some individuals with AD/HD, especially without hyperactivity, have an activation problem as described by Thomas Brown, Ph.D. in his article AD/HD without Hyperactivity (1993). I'm of the opinion that both candidates should have been disqualified for different reasons on each. (That said, Biden is absolutely better than trump if just because he's less likely to try and abolish our civil rights.) On Trump's side there's literally all of the crime. He's been impeached twice, has connections to a failed insurrection, and is now a convicted felon. He should be disqualified hands down. On the Biden side, putting aside age or mental wellness (cause those are touchy issues and I don't know how I feel there), honestly I don't think former vice presidents or immediate family members of former presidents should be allowed to run for president.

Now... all of that aside what we really need is Ranked Choice Voting and the abolition of the Electoral College. I think those two things would cause a significant positive change in US Politics

I have a story I want to write for NaNoWriMo and a character I have in mind would need to be handled with care.

The character in question is a 2nd generation immigrant from a pair of Filipino parents who's relationship with his mother is tenuous at best because of a language barrier. He is named Luis. The idea in my head is that Luis' father wanted him to assimilate to Western norms in the hope that he would have a better/easier time, and so he never really let Luis learn Filipino, and Luis' mother's grasp of English is fairly weak overall. Luis is also a high school student living in Vegas, going to a magnet school for computer engineering/tech stuff and he's also being the sound engineer person for a podcast with his childhood friend, Jane.

Before I go any further with this, I was wondering if there were any POC 2nd generation immigrants I could consult.
