I wish each individual chapter of a fic on AO3 had the date when it was posted, rather than just when the fic was first posted and when the last update was.
That way you can see at a glance how often a WIP is updated, whether it’s fairly regularly or with huge long gaps between chapters; or if the first 20 chapters were posted in quick succession but the most recent couple were posted at long intervals, indicating that the writer is losing interest and may not finish, etc.
I think they should cast college aged kids. Ones who have just peaked into adulthood and can work full time but still can play youth!
Again, I’m seeing people asking for Disney to cast teenagers for the Percy Jackson adaptation. The reason why you shouldn’t want this is because kids/teens can only work certain hours on set. So it will slow production. Also you really want teens around the people who were the catalyst of the Me Too movement? So many child and teenage actors detail sexual abuse on sets years later. So yes I do hope they cast full adults.
Well, shit. I didn’t think of it like that but now that you mention it...
Sex Education is one of the first shows where I don't ship the male bestfriends with each other and i think that's largely because the show developed its female characters just as strongly as it developed its male characters

Good baby boy
the amount of pride i’m feeling is too much to fit in my chest. this album is storytelling at its finest. as if somehow the lyrics weren’t enough, louis tells a story with his choice of melody, the guitar riffs, the way he uses his voice. the album’s version of dlibyh manages to be even gentler than the single version and i honestly didn’t think that was possible. i swear that soft guitar in the pre-chorus and chorus feels like a hug (or should i say ‘a cuddle’?). too young is literally the kind of tender conversation that happens after the fight is over, like the clear sky after a huge storm. i know we’ve talked at length about walls, but it’s impossible not to mention it when talking about this album. i think there’s a reason why it’s positioned right in the middle. i think it’s meant to be the core and it feels like the core. it feels like the culmination of something, the moment things take a turn and you start to heal. habit, much like too young, makes me feel like i’m intruding on a private conversation. that delicate “god, i’m missing you and your addictive heart” sounds like a sigh sang out loud. and don’t even get me started on the way his voice takes a brighter, more optimistic tone when he starts to sing the princess park verse. it took 0.05 seconds for the first few notes of always you to put the biggest smile on my face and i think that says everything about the song. it’s the exhilaration and wholehearted happiness you feel when you finally get it right. fearless had me shaking in awe because louis has got the fucking pen, ladies and gentlemen. that man can write. the lyrics on that song? holy fucking shit? it’s a love letter to the braver, younger, more genuine version of us that we all have locked somewhere inside of our chests. his VOICE in perfect now. he could be singing about cows in a field and it would still feel like a blanket with how sweet & warm he sounds. the tender “just wanna be loved by yoOoOou” in the bridge of defenceless physically gripped my heart and squeezed. i think only for the brave will be one of those that has a personal meaning to everyone, but, to me, it talks about letting go of your pride, your rules and your past beliefs & completely opening your heart to something, and it makes so much sense that louis would choose that one to close this album. i think the highest compliment i can give Walls (2020) is that anyone that listens to it will feel like they know louis. you can hear his soul in every song. you can hear his determination, his grief, his regrets, his redemption, his kindness, his admiration, his selfless love. by the end of the 12th song, i’m nowhere near tired of the raspiness in his voice, i just want more. more of his voice, more of his words and story, more of his heart.
Mando is so astonishingly accepting of the Child. Again and again, the kid does something weird or troubling or downright dangerous, and Mando is like, "well, we have to work that one out I guess".
Baby eats frogs? I mean, not my thing but uh...*files that away*. Pushes buttons that make alarms go off? Gently prevent him from doing it again. Nearly crashes the whole damn ship when left alone for a minute? Okay we really can't afford to leave you alone; let's go find the most patient dude I know. Force chokes Cara? Get his attention and explain why he needs to stop. Speaking as a parent, his patience is enviable.
He talks to the Child even though he can't talk back ("I told you this was a bad idea"). He's gentle with the child and moves slowly around him when possible. He even shows physical affection a couple of times (small caresses when the Child is sleeping or when he thinks the bounty hunters have him beat). That's particularly incredible given that physical affection has most likely not been a significant part of his life since his parents died, given what we've been shown of Mandalorian life.
Basically, it sure seems like, given that he's got next to no reason to know anything about parenting and definitely knows nothing about how specifically to care for whatever-the-Child-is, his instincts are really super good.
I know this is like,, a Bellarke thing but can I also just put Klance out here real quick
raise your hand if you have ever had to wait 7 seasons for your ship to become canon even though they are the least platonic pairing in the history of tv
Good shit good shit

Romeo & Juliet: for the love of GOD just COMMUNICATE
The Scarlet Letter: if you ignore the old English, it’s just the author making fun of puritans, Hester Prynn being a badass, and two men who literally drive each other crazy. Bravo
Julius Ceaser: tf Brutus. Shit bitch friend.
The Grapes of Wrath (by Steinbeck): wow this is depressing
Of Mice and Men (also by Steinbeck): wow this is super depressing
The Pearl (guess who): is John Steinbeck okay?
The Crucible: you can say that Abigail was the antagonist but fuck you. She’s the unsung hero. Like, 16 years old and gets taken advantage of by a grown ass, married man. I WISH I had the power to start the chaos that was the witch trials, basically rule the town, and then rob my uncle and run away to Boston. An icon. I stan.
Death of a Salesman: can we read something that doesn’t make me feel suicidal
The Great Gatsby: *sigh*
Macbeth: I’ll tolerate this because witches
Beowulf: is Beowulf a dick or do I just tend to hate these protagonists
Hamlet: the lion king was better
Lord of the Flies: also depressing BUT the author was a teacher at an all boys school and got sick of them and the sudden rise of the “British school children go on adventures” genre pissed him off so much that he wrote a book about them absolutely LOSING IT (“the degradation of society”) and EVERY CHARACTER IS BASED OFF A KID IN HIS CLASS AND IF THAT ISNT THE FUNNIEST SHIT YOUVE EVER HEARD THEN IDK WHAT IS
Good shit
