the amount of pride i’m feeling is too much to fit in my chest. this album is storytelling at its finest. as if somehow the lyrics weren’t enough, louis tells a story with his choice of melody, the guitar riffs, the way he uses his voice. the album’s version of dlibyh manages to be even gentler than the single version and i honestly didn’t think that was possible. i swear that soft guitar in the pre-chorus and chorus feels like a hug (or should i say ‘a cuddle’?). too young is literally the kind of tender conversation that happens after the fight is over, like the clear sky after a huge storm. i know we’ve talked at length about walls, but it’s impossible not to mention it when talking about this album. i think there’s a reason why it’s positioned right in the middle. i think it’s meant to be the core and it feels like the core. it feels like the culmination of something, the moment things take a turn and you start to heal. habit, much like too young, makes me feel like i’m intruding on a private conversation. that delicate “god, i’m missing you and your addictive heart” sounds like a sigh sang out loud. and don’t even get me started on the way his voice takes a brighter, more optimistic tone when he starts to sing the princess park verse. it took 0.05 seconds for the first few notes of always you to put the biggest smile on my face and i think that says everything about the song. it’s the exhilaration and wholehearted happiness you feel when you finally get it right. fearless had me shaking in awe because louis has got the fucking pen, ladies and gentlemen. that man can write. the lyrics on that song? holy fucking shit? it’s a love letter to the braver, younger, more genuine version of us that we all have locked somewhere inside of our chests. his VOICE in perfect now. he could be singing about cows in a field and it would still feel like a blanket with how sweet & warm he sounds. the tender “just wanna be loved by yoOoOou” in the bridge of defenceless physically gripped my heart and squeezed. i think only for the brave will be one of those that has a personal meaning to everyone, but, to me, it talks about letting go of your pride, your rules and your past beliefs & completely opening your heart to something, and it makes so much sense that louis would choose that one to close this album. i think the highest compliment i can give Walls (2020) is that anyone that listens to it will feel like they know louis. you can hear his soul in every song. you can hear his determination, his grief, his regrets, his redemption, his kindness, his admiration, his selfless love. by the end of the 12th song, i’m nowhere near tired of the raspiness in his voice, i just want more. more of his voice, more of his words and story, more of his heart.
hello i have seen homecoming three times now and i’m obsessed and in love with everything about the movie and the trans!peter headcanon
The first thing i heard about trans!peter was a post talking about how being bullied for being a nerd in school really isnt a common thing anymore, at least in america, and, if anything, in my experience, it tends to be the smartest kids that are actually the most popular. And the post raised the question: So what if peter is actually bullied because he’s trans? And that makes so much sense. And being a trans boy in high school myself and absolutely on board with the headcanon i thought i’d join in and add some things. Some of these other people may have talked about also.
“I am not a GIRL. IM A BOY. I mEAN IM A MAN.” peter gets very upset when donald glover’s character calls him a girl. his voice breaks and he gets visibly flustered.
Flash calls him “Penis Parker”. speaking from experience, high school bullies are not very creative with nicknames and will always go straight for the deepest insecurity they know. I personally think this is a dig at peter being trans.
Peter has proportionally quite small hands and feet.
He enjoys playing with things like Legos and Star Wars action figures. possibly because he didn’t get to when he was little.
He has quite a high pitched voice which he has difficulty controlling the depth of.
May’s comment about his body changing and him not feeling like he can fit in at a classmate’s party makes much more sense if you think of peter as trans.
Ned asks Peter if the spider venom gave him the ability to lay eggs, which is a bizarre question to begin with, but even stranger if being asked of an amab person. but this likely doesn’t have any substance as it was obviously just meant to be a funny moment, which it was, i laughed out loud all three times i heard it.
Peter doesn’t have much in the way of sideburns.
He’s pretty short.
The gym classes at Peter’s school are not separated by gender and they all wear the same uniform.
Most of his clothes are quite big on him. In my own experience, shopping in the men’s sections in stores doesn’t tend to go very well in terms of finding things that fit. Additionally, baggier clothes help to hide the chest and hip areas.
He doesn’t know how to tie a tie. Now this seems unimportant at first, but i actually think it could mean a lot, so hear me out. Considering how many clubs and extra curriculars he’s in (robotics, marching band, decathlon, etc.) he should have been to many recitals, concerts, competitions, etc that would require him to wear a tie throughout his intermediate and high school years. It’s weird that neither him nor may would know how to tie one. unless- he’s never done it before because he’d always worn the traditionally feminine uniform or formal wear.
Now, there’s those two shirtless scenes that some people have been using to discredit the headcanon where he’s clearly muscular and flat chested with no visible scars. Well, my doubtful friends, there’s the possibility of a keyhole surgery which leaves minimal scarring. Also, the spider venom increases muscle growth and metabolism, and also gives peter a mild healing factor. This could have caused any scars he had to heal and fade completely.
now obviously i realize not all of this inherently means he’s trans. cis guys can be short or have small hands and feet or high pitched voices or rounder hairlines, especially when they’re only 15 years old and everyone is growing at a different rate. These things just flesh out the headcanon a bit more.
tl;dr: Peter Parker is an endlessly adorable trans boy and the hero we all need.
Is gay wrist an advantage or disadvantage in sword fighting technique time-sensitive
Okay Percy Jackson might be getting an adaptation holy shit.
All I can say is I think it should start with HoO instead of PJO I don’t think making another attempt at Lightning Thief so soon is the best idea.
Firstly because it’s a lot more doable for Disney to get full time high school, college aged actors for a long running gig. (The way they filmed Mandalorian was in a single filming time period by season rather than weekly like a Disney channel show).
Not to mention that age group is the kids who would have READ THE BOOKS AS CHILDREN. I’m 18 and PJO is what I grew up reading. (I’m a freshman acting major, gods please let me audition for Thalia Grace)
I think HoO is also a more inclusive and interesting story. I love PJO but I think having the story follow the seven could allow for some much needed diversity on screen have the audience be to a slightly older age group. Dealing with some of the themes that HoO does, race and racism, homosexuality and identity, friendships and relationships, family problems, mental disorders I mean hell that could be to such a wide range audience.
LOOK at Mandalorian right now. It has been crafted so that 50 year old Star Wars nerds and young adults and young kids can ALL enjoy the show.
I think HoO could take a classic adventure story to the big screen and a wide audience

This is horrifying and this child is so young he only knows what his illegal adopters have told him
Just like I said. Illegal adoption.

Shit bro
Due to recent events, I’be been thinking about the “Adore You” music video. At first I used to think Louis was the/ represented by the fish, but then I thought, maybe Louis is the sun…
Perpetual cloud cover for as long as anyone can remember. It’s the contract. They’ve been under contract for their whole career.
So the cloud cover is the contract.
And the cloud cover makes it so the sun can’t come out.
Louis is the sun and he can’t come out because of the contract.
Harry is the boy. He is on Eroda, on the other side of the clouds, separated from the sun.
Because of their contract, Harry can’t be around Louis, they are separated from each other.
The boy/Harry and everyone else on Eroda (the fans/Larries?) are sad because they/Harry do not have the sun.
But when the cloud cover breaks - when the contract breaks/ends - the sun - Louis - can come out. And this makes Harry and everyone else on the island happy because they can be together.
They are no longer separated by cloud cover. Louis and Harry can be together when the clouds - their contract - breaks.
… and … sunflowers can’t grow without the sun. When the clouds break and the sun comes out, sunflowers will grow on Eroda…
I really do think that it’s good for the soul to be unironically pretentious about something. Not in a gatekeeping kind of way but in a “yes, it really is that deep and I would love to enthusiastically and passionately explain why” kind of way.
Been thinking a lot about reading and getting information from text recently as someone with ADHD so I'm curious
I hate to say reblog to increase sample size but my following is pretty small and I'd like to get actual input on this, so if you wanna toss a reblog after you answer that'd be much appreciated <3
