✨ Hello from the Other Side / 14k / Minister Potter has ninety-nine hundred problems. He never would've expected Sirius Black to suddenly become one of them, but when every person lost to the veil is suddenly returned, Harry deals with public opinion, rehabilitation, and long-forgotten feelings as he works to provide a future for a new segment of magical society.
✨ Until you set your old heart free / 8k / Harry turns sharply on his heels, swinging Teddy into the air once more, and as Teddy collapses into a giggly mess at his back, Harry looks at him, and he smiles and… Oh.
Oh, fuck.
He’s in so much trouble.
In which Sirius Black survives the war, adopts Teddy Lupin, and refuses to fall in love with Harry Potter.
✨ What Adults Do / 26k / After Harry breaks it off with Ginny, Harry moves in with Sirius, promising only to stay until he's back on his feet. Between Harry and Sirius lingers unresolved emotional hurt that neither are willing to address.
When Sirius arrives home one night following a bad full moon, Harry insists on stitching him up. Sirius, however, is embarrassed to receive help from his godson, and Harry is tired of being treated like a child.
✨ The Persistence of Memory / 19k / Sirius comes back out of the veil, but he's not the Sirius that Harry remembers. But Junior Auror Potter plans to be there for Sirius in a way Sirius wanted to be for him. And that's all it is, at first.
Harry is 21, Sirius is 18.
✨ the harvest of sunlight / 5k / It takes two decades and one divorce for Harry to learn three things.
Sometimes home is a person.
Sometimes it’s not the person you think.
And sometimes you have to take the long way there.
✨ Don’t sound like no sonnet / 25k / Harry has a high school diploma and no clear plan for the future. Sirius has a checkered past and a motorcycle. They meet on the first day of a very eventful summer.
✨ periculum / 25k / Harry needs someone to take control.
Or maybe he just needs Sirius.
✨ Pigment / 5k / Sirius makes a promise to Harry during the war. Three years later, he keeps his word.
✨ love is touching souls (surely you touched mine) 34k / Voldemort is dead. It's Christmas, and Harry's just opened a gift from Fred and George Weasley.
✨ Hmm / 6k
Harry is a hummingbird animagus.
Tom opens a flower shop just to attract his attention.
✨ Something in my heart then crystallised / 8k
"This room is the perfect size for a tree,” Harry says.
“A tree?” Tom asks, dubious.
“Yeah,” Harry says. When he gets no response, he looks up over his shoulder to see Tom is watching him with furrowed brows. “You know, a Christmas tree.”
He looks toward the corner of the room, which is bare but for a spare chair that no one ever uses. Tom follows Harry’s gaze then asks, voice flat, “Why?”
In which Harry remembers a promise he made to himself long ago and decides it's time to fulfill it. AKA: In which Harry and Tom decorate a Christmas tree together. Eventually.
✨ Cerulean blue / 4k / Voldemort and Harry adopt their younger versions and spend the summer in Ottery St Catchpole. They spoil them rotten and get sunburnt. That’s it.
Oh, and they nap.
✨ The Way to a Man’s Heart / 26k / “Someone is working against me, Harry,” Tom said. “I have been personally stymied. Not once now, not twice, but three times within the last two months.” He closed his eyes briefly. “It is clear that someone out there has begun some kind of baseless vendetta.”
“And it’s just against you? That’s rough, boss,” Harry said
Tom has an unknown nemesis. Harry has Tom’s lunch.
✨ Reporting for Duty / 17k / Harry thinks he wants to be an Auror. Then the Minister for Magic swoops into his life. Harry does not end up becoming an Auror.
In which Minister Tom Riddle literally just hires Harry as his PA because he's cute and argumentative.
✨ The Gift of Giving / 16k / “You don’t work here,” he says, dragging his eyes up and down Harry’s body in a slow once-over. “I’d remember you.” Harry shuffles his feet and, for some reason, the movement makes the man smirk. Harry’s cheeks flame. Fuck this guy.
*
Tom Riddle might just be the most pompous, entitled, self serving man Harry has ever met. If only his attempts at seduction weren’t so effective.
✨ At the end of every road / 90k
One would think traveling 52 years into the past would allow Harry some much desired anonymity, but unfortunately the malfunctioning Triwizard Cup spat Harry out on the quidditch pitch in the middle of a game. There's no lying about his provenance while a shiny plaque on the base of the Cup announces to everyone he is 'Harry Potter, Hogwarts Champion, 1994.'
Swept up by the ministry and sworn to secrecy by the Unspeakables, Harry is left to navigate the past on his own. Good thing his great-grandparents are willing to take him in - even if they're a little more into blood purity than Harry had expected - and Hogwarts is willing to welcome him back - even if he's a novelty to everyone as the time traveling Champion.
At least Harry will have the familiarity of Gryffindor Tower to ease his homesickness. Or he would, if the sorting hat hadn't put him in Slytherin, where he's forced to share a dorm with none other than Tom Riddle.
---
In which Harry is determined to prevent Voldemort's rise, even if he has to stalk, bribe, threaten, and marry Tom Riddle to do it.
✨ a small treacle tart / 7k / “Is that a child?” Voldemort says, incredulous, abruptly yanked out of his murderous mood.
“His name is Teddy,” Harry Potter near-growls. “He’s mine. You’re not touching him.”
✨ And the Rest is Confetti / 10k / Coffee shop AU with Accidental Wooing of Wealthy Men (or just one wealthy man, but Riddle’s enough trouble to count for ten tbh even if Harry doesn’t know that yet). Also a dash of murder because I need my emotional crutches in storytelling.
The most hardcore thing that Harry James Potter ever did was not, contrary to popular belief, the “there’s no need to call me ‘sir,’ Professor” incident, but instead was either the time that he
a) laid into one of the people he respected most in the world (and the only authority figure in his life offering him help in one of the most desperate situations he’d ever been in) for leaving his pregnant wife, going “man, you’re inhibited by your own self-loathing and fear? That’s rough. That really sucks. But you know what trumps that? RESPONSIBILITY. You brought a child into the world. You’re a father now. You’re scared? Walk it off. Walk it off AAAAAALLLL THE WAY BACK HOME. And say hi to Tonks for me.”
or
b) he willingly let himself be murdered, came back from the dead, walked back onto the battlefield, stared his own killer dead in the eyes completely unimpressed and called him “Tom”
✨ Wonder / 16k / Molly wonders about them sometimes. How they are always so aware of each other, how closely they cling together. And she worries, too. She worries about them all. She just can’t help it—they’re all her children, in some manner of speaking.
I adored reading about the trio from Molly’s perspective. It was a very refreshing take on their relationship, plus, incredibly heartwarming!
✨ Pity the living / 15k / When moving into a new flat, it's normal to check the bedrooms for space, the bathrooms for mould and the kitchen for that indescribable thing that will drive your loved ones in even when nothing is cooking on the stove. Harry, Ron and Hermione, though, should have been much more concerned about the state of their living room because, whether they knew it or not, all of the important bits are going to happen right in the centre of a space they may yet to grow to call their home.
or: a look into the Golden Trio surviving their first year after the end of the War
✨ for as long as you need us / 5k / “It’s always been the three of us, Harry,” Hermione assured him, her arms wrapped tightly around his middle as he sobbed into her shoulder.
“We’ve dealt with enough strange things mate,” Ron whispered in his ear, his chest pressed against Harry’s back and his arms holding him tight. “Let this be a good thing.”
With the wizarding world thrown into grief by the end of the war, Harry turns to his best friends to help him survive the terrible losses.
✨ Homunculus to the Life / 13k / In a conversation with Dumbledore’s portrait after the battle at Hogwarts, Harry finds out that he is and always has been a homunculus—a substitute body made to carry the Horcrux so that little Harry Potter, who lies asleep as a baby under powerful charms, wouldn’t have to. Harry struggles to process the news, the fallout, and the discovery that he might disintegrate at any moment.
✨ And On The Third Day / 10k / Eventually, they find a note tacked to the gargoyle who guards the passage to the Headmaster's office. It is in Granger's handwriting and signed by her at the bottom, and tells them that, the danger being over and the initial aftermath winding down, she feels that the three of them need some time alone to recuperate and will reappear exactly three days from that day, at four o'clock.
✨ The Stars Our Measure / 11k / Harry died at Voldemort’s hands. Ron and Hermione go back in time with a shared mission: protect Harry at any and all costs. And when it turns out that Harry is showing some signs of recovering his own memories, Ron and Hermione commit, as well, to protecting what’s blossoming between them.
The tags may not seem very “comforting”, but I couldn’t not not put this fic here
✨ In for a Galleon / 12k / It starts out innocently enough. At first, it’s just rumours. A few under-the-table bets.
And then someone puts up the list: Harry Potter’s Next Girlfriend Boyfriend? Partner. And to make matters worse, his best friends are at the top of it. Figures. He really can’t have just one simple year, can he?
✨ The Guest Bedroom / 8k / This is not an invitation, it's an order.
✨ Flood / 4k / Hermione's idea, of course, this getaway. Away from prying eyes, no one else to focus on, see how they got on then with this new thing between them.
✨ Wildflower and Barley / 5k /
Springtime from my window
Another month has not much longer now
The sun hesitates more on each evening's darkening
With all things God allows remain above ground
Like grief and sweet memory
Wildflower and barley
***
A summer afternoon three months after the war.
THIS IS US BTW :3 IF U EVEN CARE ^_^!!
✨ The Changeling / 182k / Ginny is sorted into Slytherin. It takes her seven years to figure out why.
✨ pick it up, pick it all up and start again / 69k / The thing about war is that it never ends. Not really. The battlefields just change locations. Harry and Ginny after the war.
✨ we can still be, who said we were / 124k / Navigating distances and finding your way back home. Harry and Ginny after the war. Second in the Armistice Series.
✨ in my head we do everything right / 210k / It’s not as easy as it sounds, going from hypotheticals to reality. Harry and Ginny navigate life after Hogwarts. Third in the Armistice Series.
✨ we can't control (watch me unfold) / 73k / It’s a simple arrangement. Between her grueling quidditch schedule and his mysterious auror duties, Ginny and Harry find time to have spectacular sex with no strings attached. It’s incredibly uncomplicated. Except when it isn’t.
(I ADORE THIS FIC. Ginny and Harry’s characterizations are so so SO good. Their chemistry is off charts, and the plot/government conspiracy had me ON MY TOES. Please read it.)
✨ An Hour of Wolves / 110k / Sirius is dead, but Harry's doing alright: between a brand new Quidditch Captaincy, private lessons with Dumbledore, and increasing suspicions about Draco Malfoy, he's got enough to keep him busy. And if an uncomfortable encounter with a classmate ends up leaving him with another challenge to face and even more secrets to keep, well...he's still fine.
Really. He is.
(Handles darker themes like eating disorders and sa, so be aware of that. Mental health is a big part of the story, even more so than the ship itself.)
✨ Noticing / 105k / Ginny suddenly realizes two things, in very quick succession: One, that Harry’s never really looked at her that closely before, and two, that he is absolutely, beyond a shadow of a doubt, doing that. Right now.
This is the story of how Harry comes to notice her... but more importantly, it's the story of how Ginny comes to notice that he noticed.
(An incredibly realistic and hilarious portrayal of teenage struggles, I laughed so much with this one.)
✨ Not From Others / 132k / She may not have been able to join Harry, Ron and Hermione, but Ginny refuses to go down without a fight. As war approaches, Ginny returns to Hogwarts to resurrect Dumbledore's Army and face the darkest year the wizarding world has ever seen.
✨ The Path From You / 142k / At 22, Ginny had lived through several lifetimes worth of misery. She'd been deceived, betrayed, and possessed, her very soul almost wrung out into nothing. She'd been subordinated, humiliated, and tortured, lived almost an entire year surrounded by enemies.
Fought Death Eaters and dementors and giant spiders. Been heartbroken, anguished, and grief stricken. Lost friends and mentors and a brother.
And through it all, she'd survived... because of luck, or sheer force of will.
Maybe a little of both.
If she could suffer and endure and prevail through all of that, she could live through some anonymous wanker plaguing her with badly written poetry.
(An amazing take on Ginny and her struggles post war. Waiting for the author to update 🙏🏻)
This is so so beautiful god 💕
