How did I not hear about France banning hijabs? What’s going on?
long story short, there’s legislation in the process of being passed that would
ban girls under 18 from wearing any form of religious head covering in public, and although it’s obviously aimed at muslim women, it would also affect other faith groups that practice similar forms of modest dress
ban islamic swimwear in schools and public (there is already a modest swimwear ban in place at public beaches, this just extends it)
ban mothers wearing hijab from entering schools or participating in school field trips or extra curriculars
ban the slaughter of halal poultry - the cheapest and most easily accessible form of meat protein for the muslim community
extend school hijab bans to universities
prevent muslim women from choosing healthcare providers based on gender (which many muslim women prefer to do, since many exams require removal of clothing, etc)
ban muslim parents from homeschooling
force halal markets to sell pork and alcohol or face closure
ban foreign flags at weddings
For the rhyme I would rather say François in Illinois (even if I know that in US you pronouce it "Illinoy") or François in Iowa ! But it's so funny !
"WTF is that ?! Cheese ? No it's not !"
" I'm sorry but an hour drive is not a short drive."
" You cannot have a beer ? But you’re 19 ! You have a gun and a 100k $ student loan but you aren’t responsible enough to drink alcohol ? "
"Why is everybody telling me "Omelette du fromage" it's "AU fromage" ?!"
"Isn't it weird that the president make his serment over the bible ? And singing religious song like Amazing grace before football ?"
I will stop there but the clash between USA and France would be so violent 😂
stop making shows about americans in europe… try europeans in america instead. the outrage of not knowing exactly what something costs at a store,, no public transport,, everyone smiling in your face and waiters scaring you by constantly popping up at your table… ice in your water for some reason,, the kind of culture clash i want to see!!
Mine :
The Swan :
- Charlie : Mark Ruffalo or Sam Rockwell
- Renée : Anne Hathaway
- Bella : so hard... maybe Millie Bobby Brown ?
The Cullen :
- Esme : Jennifer Love Hewitt or Emilia Clarke
- Carlisle : Dan Stevens
- Rosalie : Margot Robbie or Ruby Rose
- Emmett : Kellan was really perfect but... Michael B Jordan or Ruan Guzmann
- Alice : Amanda Seyfried or Dove Cameron
- Jasper : Nicholas Hoult or Tom Payne
- Edward : Ty Simpkins
The Volturi :
- Marcus : Rodrigo Santoro (I know he's brazilian and it make no sense but he always seems so sad and nostalgic so Marcus)
- Caius : Aidan Turner
- Aro : Robert Carlyle
- Felix : Javier Bardem
- Demetri : Jacob Anderson
- Jane : Chloe Grace Moretz or Lily-Rose Depp
- Alec : Ben Hardy (of Chloe) or Timothée Chalamet (if Lily)
What do you think ? 😁
If you were asking to recast the main actors for twilight who would you choose ? Let say the Cullen and Volturi coven, the swan family and the high school kid. (I don't ask for the member of the pck because I don't know many other native actors and I don't want to choose non native people)
It's so fun to me bacause I'm from France and we have A LOT of roundabout and I love to see americans freak out about it as if it was something fucking complicated 😂
Charmant.
