Thats my fucking mood right now
how am I supposed to be happy when I am simply not????????
sometimes i remember that hebrew was literally a dead language. dead!! for two thousand years!!!! until this one guy in the 1880′s was like hey fuck german and russian and spanish and french We Are Jews we should speak The Language Of The Jews!! and everyone was like dude tf hebrew is DEAD it’s OLD it’s missing too many words, we can’t use it. so he was like ok. i’ll make up new ones. checkmate, atheists and he fuckninh did he stood up by his little desk (?) and invented so many new words and wrote a whole dictionary and then he had a child and only spoke hebrew to him and that child was the first person who’s first language was hebrew in two thousand years and…………………………… i’m sorry i’m so emotional over my man, Eliezer Ben-Yehuda. he singe-handedly revived a dead language. what a man
so0o, i do have these (+ some others) all on a playlist (here)
remember this is just how i perceive the songs and they might not be how you feel about them
in case you don’t live forever - ben platt: this is a song that hits harder because sometimes you can’t get the words out to someone before they leave your life. it’s a song that has a lesson to it, one that everyone should learn
two of us - louis tomlinson: this song is a huge tear jerker, for personal reasons i’m not going to elaborate though. it’s a very raw song, and any one that has struggled with the loss of someone should hear it
invisible - 5 seconds of summer: i used to feel like i was just always there, but never *there*. admittedly i found this song after i really needed it, but it makes me mourn the girl i used to be. this entire song pulls at my heartstrings and it will always have a special place in my heart for how accurate the lyrics are
broken home - 5 seconds of summer: as a child of divorced parents, this song also hits different. “hey mom hey dad, when did this end? when did you lose your happiness” always makes me tear up. its a song i needed when i was younger.
bumper cars - alex and sierra: from multiple friendships/relationships i relate to this song. its wanting this person so bad but you know you cant have it because you two just don’t mix and it makes a bigger mess. this song is more of an idea of sadness for me, it doesn’t directly make me think of one thing
you cant rush your healing - trevor hall
i could probably go on for days about how much strength this song gave me, but alas, i’m limited to a paragraph. i found this song after a really big change in my life, it was actually recommended to me by my aerial teacher. lyrically, its one of the most comforting songs i’ve ever listened to. i go to it anytime i feel anxious, sad, or in need of something to help me.
you cant rush your healing, you have to go through every emotion and let yourself actually feel it. that’s something i had to learn. honestly, if i hadn’t found this song/the people from my aerial studio i would probably still be in the same endless (so it feels like) loop of sadness and frustration.
this is a song you have to find at the right time to be able to understand. the first time i listened to it it was late at night, i felt tired, and i let it play on a loop listening to the lyrics just crying because i felt like i found something that could really help me (and it did)
take a deep breath
it’ll be over before you know it
pretend like you’re obama (it’ll help you talk slower)
stand up straight
in a class setting, people don’t typically pay attention anyways so it’s not like your classmates are watching your every move. they don’t care.
don’t lock your knees
bring up a note card with important topics or quotes
make eye contact if you can
or look at people’s hair. it’ll make it seem like you’re making eye contact, but it’ll be less awkward
don’t memorize your entire speech. instead, memorize a couple bullet points of topics you need to hit
project your voice as if you’re speaking to someone sitting in the back of the room
talk with your hands to help you feel more warm and welcoming
don’t put your hands in your pockets
walk around a bit, but let it come organically. don’t force it.
don’t bounce one leg the whole time, it’s distracting
spit out your gum
smile
don’t eat a big meal prior
if you have to present for a certain number of minutes, have a friend sit in the back of the room and hold up finger signs for how many minutes you’ve been up there
don’t wear loud jewelry
practice your presentation/speech to a friend or family member who is unfamiliar with the material. if they don’t understand your presentation or don’t follow, you need to be more detailed
stick to the built-in themes on power point. yes, colors are pretty, but some color combos can be hard to read, and you won’t know it until it’s up on a big screen/projector.
put pictures in your power point. they’re more entertaining to look at than a paragraph of text.
speak with formal language. stay away from curse words and slang.
remember that everyone in your class is going through the same stress.
if you absolutely cannot handle the idea of public speaking, talk to your teacher and see if it’s okay for you to do your presentation after class.
it’ll be okay.
you got this.

With Super talking about how much he hates Sombra can someone please post that clip of Architect just hacking him on Route 66 over and over again while he rages?
Concept: an apocalyptic or post apocalyptic tv show centred on a group of disabled protagonists
Must include:
-enough details about how they survive that no one can call it “unrealistic”
-mental and physical disabilities
-a character who isn’t necessarily contributing to the survival of the group, but is not abandoned or looked down upon
-at least one character whose disability is actually less of a problem for them now that the world is ending/ended (example: autistic character who used to be constantly overstimulated but no longer is)
Optional features:
-abled person says “the only disability in life is a bad attitude” and gets told where to stuff it
-creatively weaponized mobility aids/assistive devices
-character who abled people think isn’t worth helping because of their disability, but actually has at least one skill essential to the survival of the group
-every time an abled person says something ignorant, all present disabled people look into the camera like they’re on the office
