Atlantis - Prologue

(Yuzuru! Hibiki-senpai! Eichi-sama…!)

(Is anyone there? Anyone would be fine, please I…)

(It hurts. I can't see anything. And it's so, so, so cold.)

(Where even am I? Why am I in such a…?)

(Eichi-sama! Eichi-sama! Eichi-sama!)

(The place where you stand is so high, and it looks so cold…)

(I stretched my hand as far as I could and desperately tried to reach you.)

Tori: Hh... hh... Ugh... gh...

Yuzuru: If you are unable to respond, then I will have no choice but to call an ambulance immediately...

Tori: Pant... Pant... Yu-Yuzuru?

Yuzuru: Yes. It is me, Yuzuru.

I am here by your side, as always.

Tori:… Yeah. Guess you are.

Hehe... Even though I came to live in the dorms, I ended up sharing a room with you, Yuzuru. So tiresome.

And here I thought I'd be able to do whatever I wanted without nosy people like you spying on me all the time.

Yuzuru: Jesting aren't we? Nevertheless, even if we were to be assigned different rooms, Bocchama, I would still choose to reside in your room.

So that I can be by your side and serve you. After all, taking care of you is my job, as well as my reason to live.

Tori: Uwaaah... Groooss... You're so annoying ♪

Yuzuru: Fufu. Your words and actions don't match at all.

Right now you're holding my hand so tightly—Bocchama, I'm always going to have my hands full looking after a spoiled child like you, aren't I?

Tori: I'm sorry. I just had a really scary dream.

I may have said some weird things in my sleep because of that. But I'm fine now—It's not like I have a cold or anything.

I'm sure that I'll be able to get back to working super hard by tomorrow.

Yuzuru: Hmm... Indeed, your temperature appears to be normal. It's occasionally hard to tell because your body temperature, like a child's, is naturally high.

Tori: When did you measure my temperature?

Yuzuru: With my talents, I have the power to change your clothing from head to toe without you noticing a thing, Bocchama.

Since I know where all your nerves and sensitive points are, I can check your body thoroughly without you feeling anything, much like an acupuncture session—

Tori: Wait, wait, that's so scary! I swear, sometimes your weird, mysterious skills are way too scary and gross!

Yuzuru: Oh, but I trained especially for you, Bocchama ♪

Tori: Yeah, and that's why you're so scary!

Yuzuru: There's no need for you to be scared, because I will always be on your side, Bocchama.

Tori: I know~ And I'm grateful but… Having someone way more talented than I am devote their entire life to me is a lot to deal with.

And I don't feel worthy enough of being treated like that.

Yuzuru: What are you saying? It seems as though the nightmare you just had has left you quite anxious.

But don't you worry. Bocchama is a good and virtuous person who is worthy of my service.

If you continue to doubt my words, I can sit at your bedside and repeat them a million times over into your ear.

Tori: I think I'll have another nightmare if you do, so please don't.

Yuzuru: I only wanted to whisper about... my love for you, Bocchama.

Tori: You're half asleep too, aren't you, Yuzuru?

Oh, no wonder—it's already 3 AM. And yet I woke you up while you were fast asleep. Sorry about that.

Yuzuru: Not at all. It would be troublesome if something were to happen to you, so please do not hesitate to rely on me if you are not feeling well.

There is no need to concern yourself with time or circumstances.

I have said so many times already, but once again: I am, now and forever, your most faithful ally and I will always put you first no matter what.

Please, don't ever forget that.

Tori: Hm…I get that too.

Yuzuru: Has your anxiety passed?

Tori: For now, yeah... Ah, now that I'm more relaxed, I'm starting to get sleepy.

Yuzuru: That's good to hear. Shall we hold hands like this until you fall asleep?

Tori: I'm not a baby. Yuzuru, you have work tomorrow as well, right? So you should hurry up and sleep too.

I feel just fine now.

Having reimugi thoughts mostly altered and element related does anyone care about Rei's projection onto Tsumugi due to seeing himaelf in him while wanting to take care of him and how they are both so people pleasing and self-sacrificing, unable to say no when they are asked to do things by other people (Rei himself stating he couldn't find it in him to do so at one point which can be interpreted as not serious but you know. He's still someone who does quite a lot for others.) As well as their shared suicidal lack of care and value for their own lives... it's actually obscene.... He tries to teach him how a true, normal friendship is supposed to be despite not knowing it himself... Rei being the "most popular" in school according to Eichi, Tsumugi having so many connections despite being taken advantage of and treated unkindly often due to seeming like an easy target, both of them still being so alone. Then they were on opposing sides all of a sudden, the leader of fine and leader of the five eccentrics...

Rei understands Tsumugi, more than anyone possibly could at that time at least, he knows him so well he's able to help him understand what was happening to him during altered by spelling it out to him, essentially. On Tsumugi's "first day truly being alive", Rei was there congratulating him— after a war that made both of them shed their old selves, killing them to turn into something new even though technically Tsumugi didn't have one (he did, of course, but the framing is that he is alive for the first time in the story due to how he's been living till that point)... Rei does say it's because the war weakened him, to Tsumugi of all people, and he seems to seek to detach himself further from humanity... and Tsumugi is the one who killed Rei, to some extent, still having seen the friendship they currently have as a torturous punishment for what he did to him during in his third year... Tsumugi becoming human thanks to Natsume despite Natsume himself having a somewhat complicated relationship with his own humanity, which viewing in parallel to Wataru and Eichi is sooo sickening. But anyways. The vampire and the zombie both found things that made them want to keep existing in this world, as well as love and care from others... (even though tsumugi continued to very much suffer from suicidal ideation way after that but that's just how he is so guys it's ok)... that part where Tsumugi subconsciously, or simply unintentionally, sounds as if he's blaming Rei for things because he could've done so much to prevent the eccentrics executions including his own I'm crazy... just stuff I was thinking about this morning I'm spouting out the same stuff I post every day about them because I'm crazy

Their shared struggle with a lack of/weirdness towards their own humanity and lack of care for their lives and need to sacrifice themselves 👍how tsumugi treats him normally despite thinking he's extraordinary and having admiration towards him and a severe lack of empathy and then helps lead this campaign of dehumanization against him for the greater good and rei takes it due to his martyr complex. He emphathized with eichi so much he let it happen. and he has the audacity to critique tsumugi for some things that he had thought about in regards to himself. How were they so close but out of reach from each other but still genuinely truly friends? At what point did reis amusement and weird interest towards him grow into genuine true care despite it still being there because to be fair tsumugi is a weird little freak, but also, rei taught him so much and treated him like a human being when he saw himself as lower than that? He was there on the day he saw proof of his newly found humanity, of his rebirth thanks to natsume and the war, congratulating him for it. Even after all this time he finds himself slipping into his old tone with him, the tone of a self he has long killed off. And now theyre friends again even though the scars remain, even though it's tsumugi's torturous punishment, rei takes care of him. says they could take over the world together. Still wants him to be just a little kinder to himself, just as he'd wished for before. Not to mention the thing rei had implied about his own family when eichi asked if he was bullied, too, while being painfully aware of tsumugi's family and how awful it was...? 2nd year tsumugi saying he grew attached to him after only talking a few times because his concern made him genuinely, truly happy and rei saying he couldnt leave him alone and that he shouldnt act so distant. That theyre friends if he wants him to be. Teaching him what, in his perspective, friendship is, because tsumugis view of it is so skewed he doesnt even know when he has permission to consider someone his friend, and he has so many connections yet hes so alone. this isn't even all but I shant I cant and I shant.

they are absolutely ridiculous! i love them

Getting serious for a moment this means nothing to anyone but peoplw make madakana so one sided which is special and painful but to some extent (specifically in regards to them caring about each other) untrue especially in it's current state they deeply care for each other you dont get it. It is very bittersweet and the time kanata spent sort of resentful of him was really good and really painful but he acknowledges him as his savior even if madara refused to its really good and bittersweet either way they are so important to each other as characters and as people and even in meteor impact after being almost cruel to him he still shows care for him in a way. Theres just something really wrong with both of them (which is so good) Whatever. Kicks rock

madara is interesting to me bc i do like the juxtaposition of him in wisteria saying he hates being lonely bc he loves people too much -- but arguably since he chose to be a solo idol .. like hes more of a self-made oddball than anything. he is a lonely person by his own choosing. maybe hes surronded but hes lonely yk? he loves people and humanity but he cannot get close because its never worked out for him... he is a walking tragedy!

This unlocked my inner Madakana analysis brain because they're the character opposites. Foils even. They're the same deep down in always wanting, only being together via that wanting and always effecting the other. (The 3rd part and relationship are so meteor impact)

NOTE:

I am VERY new to collecting these kinds of dolls. The doll shown above is literally the only one I have (as of right now…). That said please take everything I say with a grain of salt! This blog post is more of a log of my experience with washing my doll for the first time than a tutorial :)

Material List:

wash cloth (2x)

toothbrush (not used duh)

dawn dish soap

micellar water

tide to go stick/non bleach stain remover

blow dryer/fan

Prepping:

Before bath time there are some things I did to prep.

I started by taking off any stains on my doll. In this case mine had one on their embroidered paw on their foot. I used a “TideToGo” stick to get rid of it and it work wonders. I also heard great things about “Grandma’s Secret Spot Remover” too! Though as long as your stain remover doesn’t have bleach in it I THINK it will be fine, though I’m no expert.

After that I removed my doll’s blush. I did this by putting a little bit of micellar water onto a wash cloth and gently rubbing away where the blush was on my doll. When it comes to this please keep in mind a little goes a long way! Though I will say, I did asked some experienced plush doll collectors if I needed to remove the blush before a bath because I was scared of the blush getting moved around and staining the doll or embroidering. They told me it probably didn’t matter but it wouldn’t hurt. Do with that information what you will.

Bath Time:

Now for the actual bath I started by filling up a container with cold water and about 3 drops of dawn dish soap. (Please make sure it’s cold water because warm water makes things bleed!) Once everything was mixed together I took my toothbrush and dipped it into the mixture.

With the soapy mix I started scrubbing away at my doll. I was sure to be gentle over the embroidery in fear of loosening/damaging it if I was to rough with it. I made sure really get into all of the cracks and crevices too.

Once washed with soap I replaced the soapy water with just plain cold water. Then I scrubbed my doll again but this time with just the water. I made sure to dip my brush back into the water very frequently during this process. On my last scrub I brushed everything up in the same direction with my bruh.

Aftermath:

I placed my wet doll on a dry wash cloth and started to pat them dry with it. I was able to get the longer pieces of fabric (like the hair) pretty much dry with just the cloth but I can’t say that about the other parts.

For the other parts I used a mini fan to help the process go a little faster. (⤵️)

A blow dryer on the cold setting should also work for this if you’re impatient like me lolol. Good old fashion air drying should also work fine too but make sure it’s in a well lit room just to be careful of mold! I have also heard of people putting their dolls in pillowcases and throwing them into the drying machine along with a towel to cushion them more on a low setting. I have never tried this though personally so I’m not sure how well that would work and I’m to nervous to find out.

Also not going to lie I did not enjoy the smell of the “TideToGo” stick very much and I couldn’t get the smell to go away with just the soap and water so I did spray my doll with a bit of perfume. I’m not sure how safe/good this is for dolls but personally for me my doll turned out fine and now smells really good!

Conclusion:

This method worked very well for me I think! My doll is all clean and their hair feels so soft just like when I first got them which is very exciting. If anyone has any tips or thinks I should have done anything differently let me know! Also I’m here to answer questions too🫡 This is my first time making a blog post like this so I hope it was helpful and easy to understand!🙂
