Can anyone tell me how to draw lightning and tunder?

I'm struggling to draw energy lightning circling around a specific spot.

How does lightning work? It's just rigid lines but it's also not.

figured out how to do it digitally. But how the hell are you supposed to do that with traditional mediums like acrylics or markers?

And yes, I made a short sketch to figure this out. But digitally it's quite easy. Just draw some white squiggly lines along a shape, erase some parts, repeat that process until you're satisfied and then add colored glow beneath.

Hey artists of Tumblr! I’ve got a question!

I have a friend just starting out on Twitch and asking for a banner commission. He is also asking if I’d be willing to stay on as his art designer. I’m very pumped to do this, but I don’t know how much to be charging for commissions since I’m just starting out on commissions.

My husband recommended at least $15/hr, but I want to make sure I know how to set prices. My friend is offering 2k total or 10% from each stream whichever comes first. Does this sound reasonable? My husband is afraid I’m going to get ripped off since I’m just starting out.

So those who do commissions for art, what’s a reasonable price per hour for art? Or a base price you give people?
