i hate how my illnesses can change how im seen as a person - like because im sick i cant do a lot of things and it makes me seem flaky but i want to be there i just cant
anyone else ever think about where they would be if they werent sick?
couldve graduated high school, couldve gone to university, couldve had a job, travelled, practiced my skills regularly, chased my passions..
If you’ve ever related to the phrase “if you want something done right, do it yourself” then you have absolutely no right telling a disabled person with carers how it “must be so nice to have people help you to cook/ clean/ shower”
Bloom redesign 💙
its devastating, seeing the life ive longed for happen to others while im stuck in bed in a flare up… again.. its so hard.
i unfollow a lot of people for this honestly, if i havent seen them in the past few years then i dont see the point in seeing a bunch of posts that make me feel bad, its sad.
Being chronically ill in your 20s is stupid you have to see your peers like “started a family🥰” “got married😍” “bought a house😇” “scored a promotion😋” meanwhile you’re fighting for your life to take a shower
YES THANK YOU
tecna lacks so much appreciation she is a QUEEN.
the thing about characters like tecna is that people will often think they are strictly one-dimensional and lack nuance. that they only breathe complex facts and figures. that they are only funny when they are not trying to be funny. but tecna turns that notion on its head by being so emotional and so accepting of her emotional landscape once she reconciles her inner conflicts, and at times, by not being very rational. while tecna can be awkward at times and miss a social cue or two, she can also be intentionally hilarious and sharp through her spirited and bold remarks; do not forget the way she sassed riven in the minotaur episode or the way she cleverly had the last word with the beta girls. point is, please do not pigeonhole tecna into a predefined box or a particular stereotype. she deserves so much more than that.
Has anyone said this yet
'being disabled is a full-time job' actually with most full-time jobs you get evenings and weekends off, plus holiday time and potentially other benefits like healthcare and dental. we don't get to clock off from being disabled nor do we reap any benefits, material, social, or otherwise. hope this helps
