You've been isekai'd into a fictional setting. Spin this wheel to find out which one.
Alright fellow writers. Confession time.
Rules on "writing" for this poll:
no it doesn't matter what you write or how many words you write.
Worldbuilding, brainstorming, drafting, and editing all count as writing.
yes you're allowed to write something and then come back and vote on this.
yes adding one single word to your wip counts as writing.
Asian kids in general need to get a lot of shit done just to please their parents. I mean, it's not necessarily wrong for a parent to push school grades, but coming from an Asian kid, they push hard. And it really doesn't help that being Asian is what's letting a bunch of colleges, like Harvard, deny applications. So yeah, white people, we gotta do as much work as, if not more work than, everyone else.
shout out to all the mentally ill asian kids
who can’t pull up the strength to do their homework or study
who get low grades because of their mental illness
who are constantly under pressure to do well in school by their parents
who have parents that think depression or anxiety is just an excuse for being “lazy”
who have parents that tell them that they had it harder when they were young
who, because of the stereotype that all asians are smart, constantly doubt themselves and their abilities
who suffer because of the stigma around mental illness in asian cultures
your grades, your abilities, and your parent’s perception of you do not make up your worth. you’re doing your best, and i’m endlessly proud of you.
Everyone always talks about how Edward Scissorhands is so dangerous because of his scissors for hands, but no one mentions the hazards of his shoulder blades
