Samtory AU where Sam is obsessed with Tory but in a “our rivalry is sacred and I despise you but our competition drives me to better myself in ways I never even dreamed of before also I kind of want to kiss you”
Sam: I have to defeat her, but how? She’s too strong, too skilled, too hot, too smart, too hot-
Miguel: You said hot twice.
Sam:…I mean, yeah, look at her? Are you blind?
______
Daniel: Sam, you might have a problem.
Sam, standing in the middle of her room that she covered with pictures of Tory: Whatever do you mean, father?
Daniel: What do I-I mean all of this!
Sam: Oh, I’m just getting locked in for the tournament by focusing on my greatest adversary.
Daniel, pointing at the punching bag covered top to bottom in Tory’s headshots: and what about that?
Sam:…image training?
Okay so as I think of things to put in my Cobra Kai rewrite, a part of me wants to keep Sam relatively the same, but another part of me kinda wants to make her the spoiled princess everyone seems to think she is. Like, make her ass Pacifica Northwest, so that the reveal that she’s being pressured into acting this way hits harder, and then she starts to change when she has her fall from grace and falls for Miguel after he saves her from Kyler. But then again, some people might think it’s Sam Bashing. LMK what you think.
The Kirby Buckets writers be cookin’ up downright horrid concepts for a 14 minute conflict that gets solved by ketchup or some stupid shit like that
I let it go long, I let you stray too far
Now I know, now I know, now I know exactly what you are
Na-na-na-na-na-na, a motherfucker
Na-na-na-na-na-na, a motherfucker
I don't think you meant to hurt me
'Cause I don't think it meant a thing at all
At all, at all, at all
At all, at all, at all
At all, at all, to you
Na na na, na na, na
The motherfucker
Na na na, na na, na
The motherfucker
I never saw your scars
I never knew your pain
Now I know, now I know
Now I know we’ll never be the same
But I, I keep on waiting
Waiting to miss you less than I do
And I do, oh, I do, yes I still do miss you
But maybe it's all on me
Dismissing every sigh and every glance and every turn
No, no, no, he's a motherfucker
Maybe there's something here for us to glean
For you to teach and me to try and learn
No, no, no, he's a motherfucker
'Cause you may never change, but I can’t help but yearn
What if I’d been by your side?
What if I’d noticed the signs?
What if we just don’t align?
All this what if, what if, what if, what if, what if, what if
Why, why, why, why why why, makes me BURN!
I don't think you meant to hurt me
'Cause I don't think it meant a thing at all!
Well, did it?
No, not at all
At all, at all, at all
Didn't mean a, didn't mean a
At all, at all, at all
Didn't mean a, didn't mean a
At all, at all to you
Na na na, na na, na
The motherfucker
Na na na, na na, na
The motherfucker
Na na na, na na, na
The motherfucker...
➤ Storming Dove: Storming Dove is Aurore's sentimonster, and it's replacing Stormy Weather. It's a large bird with brown feathers, some white feathers, and a spiked beak. This bird controls the weather and can speak, as most sentimonsters will in this AU. The name is a play on the Mourning Dove, which is a type of bird. I congratulated myself after coming up with that.
➤ Pigeon Lord: Another bird-based sentimonster because I was too proud of Storming Dove to change it. This sentimonster is analogous to Mr.Pigeon and he has the same powers. The difference is that he is shirtless, muscled, and has a pigeon head. Some of Pigeon Lord's pigeons have special abilities such as coating themselves in flames, sharp teeth, and super strength. Honestly, I feel like the writers of the show were simply having fun when they came up with Mr. Pigeon, so I'm gonna make this crazier.
➤ The Chronicle: The Chronicle is replacing The Evillustrator. It's a sentient floating sketchbook that can create anything it wants. It can create anything, but it can only exist 30 seconds. Didn't really want to make it too overpowered so that it's able to be defeated. Nathaniel helps defeat it by throwing water on it, since that's a weakness all books have.
➤ Bodybuilder: Kim's sentimonster, replacing Dark Cupid. I felt like this fit Kim more than Dark Cupid due to his athleticism. It looks a lot like a human but has steel skin, slick red hair, and a sleeve-less jumpsuit with Dark Cupid's color scheme. Obviously, it has super strength and super jumps. It can also release beams from it's eyes that have the same effect as Dark Cupid's arrows.
➤ Eyebrarian: Gabriel's sentimonster, replacing the Collector. This sentimonster was modeled after what Gabriel thinks of Natalie. It has three eyes and the third eye can emit light, causing whatever gets hit by it to disappear and become a drawing in a book that it holds. It has enhanced agility, making it hard to hit.
“I want to put musical numbers in my fanfiction” I say with glee before beginning to write the fanfiction. Little did I know…I’d have to write them.

DING DING DING RIGHT ON THE MONEY
Another thing ironic about Zara. She acts like the spoiled and privileged girl people love to say Sam is/was and people love her.
The irony about Zara and Sam is hard to ignore. Zara is framed as the girl who’s rebellious, carefree and effortlessly cool. She’s marketed as the “hot girl,” dressed in ways that emphasise her edginess and fans eat it up. Meanwhile, Sam is constantly reduced to being the “spoiled rich girl,” a label she’s never actually earned. Why? Because she comes from a wealthy family. That’s it. No evidence. No spoiled behavior. Just assumptions.
When has Sam ever acted entitled? The country club doesn’t count. Has she ever demanded special treatment because of her family’s wealth or used it as a weapon against others? No. If anything, she’s always worked hard and carried a lot of responsibility, balancing her family legacy with her own identity. The only thing people hold against her is the fact that she has money and that automatically makes her “spoiled” in their eyes.
Now, compare that to Zara. She benefits from the way she’s marketed. Her rebellious nature is packaged as “cool” and “empowering,” even when it’s irresponsible or hurtful. If Sam acted the same way—if she wore the same outfits, rebelled against authority, or prioritised herself the way Zara often does—people would call her selfish or disrespectful. But because Zara fits the archetype of the edgy, hot girl, she gets a free pass.
The double standard is glaring. Zara could literally commit murder and fans would still find ways to excuse her actions. Meanwhile, Sam could breathe the wrong way,m and she’d be called entitled. Why? Because Zara is framed as the fun, wild character who lives on her own terms, while Sam is trapped under the weight of being the “good girl” with wealth attached to her name.
At the end of the day, it’s not about what Sam does or doesn’t do. It’s about perception. Zara is loved because she’s marketed to be. Sam is criticised because she never was. And that, right there, is the problem.
Okay so I’m rewatching the Descendants trilogy and honestly, hot take, I love Chad. He’s such a prick but he’s funny and not in a “it’s funny to watch him get hurt” way but in a “his delivery is hilarious” way.
Also, I just got to the scene where Doug talks about Happy’s son and now I wanna see him.
