Okay, so here's where we're at apparently

Tomura is dead

Toga is dead (or, let's just call it as it is, she committed suicide) - this is despite the fact that if she died other characters (read: heroes) should have died as well, but didn't (Bakugo and Edgeshot for example)

Dabi is presumably still in the hospital (since we didn't see a funeral), unable to move or do anything on his own

Spinner wrote his book, but where he is and how he's actually doing is unknown - presumably he still has to deal with multiple quirks that aren't his own and are tearing at his body

Compress is alive but where he currently is is unknown - he read Spinner's book (and that's it)

Kurogiri exploded?? And nobody has bothered to mention anything about him since

Twice has been dead for a while, but his murderer is not only free of charge but also the head of the HPSC (which still exists btw)

Other things:

The hero ranking system still exists

Seemingly no real changes have been made which would help victims like the LOV before they felt like they had to turn to villainy to be heard/seen/understood

Deku gets to be a hero again by the power of ~technology~ - kinda making the whole deal about him losing his quirk feel pointless

Not from this chapter, but I still feel like it's very important to point out that it's heavily implied that Rei is just gonna take care of Enji (her abuser) now and probably for the rest of time

The few good things:

Ochako bringing more focus on mental health

Late night doodles ft. my ocs, @marbled-magician, @inciting-trumpet, and Giran 🫶

The imagery that I have in my head is of Shouto in his room, minding his own business, doing his homework, and then Touya stomps by his open door muttering angrily to himself.  That’s not a big deal, that’s what Touya does.  Shouto ignores it. Ten minutes later, Touya comes back the other way, still muttering but carrying something.

It takes Shouto a good thirty seconds to register,  “Hang on, was that a bow and arrow?”

Not sure what the neighbors have done specifically to incur Touya’s wrath, but apparently it was bad enough that whoever’s holding the camera is not motivated enough to intervene.

I also don’t think Touya is any good at archery, so loosing that flaming arrow is probably going to immediately be followed up with,  “Shit!  Fuck!”

And turning to the camera, “Three thousand yen* if you agree with me this never happened.”

*Roughly twenty USD.

My Hero Academia AU: Road Trip

An Ambush Simulation Prequel

I am a little ashamed that this one was in progress for so long and I have only three pages to show for it, but I got so burned out with it that I just thought, "Damn, I'm done." So sadly I'm wrapping up Road Trip as a slice-of-life brief.

I bit off a little more than I could chew and found out I have zero interest in drawing vehicles the hard way. Still, I'm happy with how Shimura's motorcycle turned out.

Giran’s phone rings.

Giran: “Hello?”

Twice: “Hey, Giran! It’s Twice! How’s it going?”

Giran: “Good. How are things with you and the league?”

Twice: “Great! Shitty— I mean we haven’t gotten much done yet, but I’ve made a bunch of new friends here—“

Tomura, in the background: “Twice, this isn’t a check-in to Mom and Dad from summer camp— QUIT YAPPING AND GIVE THE PHONE TO SPINNER.”

Twice: “We’ll talk later!“

Spinner, taking the phone: “Hey, Giran. Would you happen to know any villain-friendly healers we could meet with?”

Giran: “Yeah, I could put you in touch with someone. Is everything okay?”

Spinner: “Uhhh, well… Shigaraki just tried to iron his clothes for the first time.”

Giran: “For the first time? Not surprising. What, does he want a healer for? A little burn?”

Spinner: “Well, he was still wearing the clothes when he ironed them.”

Giran: “What— Why the hell would he do that?!”

Dabi, in the background: “I told him that’s how it’s done.”

Tomura: “If you weren’t already 90% burns, I’d shove this iron down your throat.”

Dabi: “Big talk for the guy who’s currently got a Call of Duty shirt burned into his nipples.”

Spinner: “Guys, seriously— We are never letting Kurogiri have a day off again.”

Giran, sighs: “… I’ll make some calls.”

Getaway went to see her first concert with her bestie Nightcore- and let’s just say it was the best time of her life..
