Yesterday I had a crazy ass dream, my oc Cassandra was building a hover board with Peter Parker. So i made it into a comic! Its just a sketch though Basically its Cassie and Peter testing the hovercraft, but they end up going way to fast. Cassie may crash into steve, because of the speed. I might make this digital and lengthen the story if someone likes it!

I tried to push my way through the crowd. For a “small” house party, as May had called it, there were so many people. With my free hand I tried to shove people aside while I tried to keep my cup straight up in the other.

When I finally escaped the mass I took the first exit to the garden. It was much calmer outside, sure there were still others, but less. I couldn’t believe I actually let May convince me to come here. I sat down in one of the garden chairs and checked for any texts on my phone.

Suddenly a guy took the chair next to me and sat down: “not enjoying the party, huh?” I looked up and my eyes met his deep brown ones. He looked cute and he was smiling at me with an adorable smirk. “Not really, I guess. Looks like you aren’t either.”

“To say the least,” he took a sip of his cup, “my girlfriend is loving it though.”

I chuckle at his remark. He smiled back and put out his hand: “I’m Calum by the way”

I shook his hand: “Y/N”

“I like your sweater.” He said. I was wearing a red and black Iron Man sweater. “Yeah, I wasn’t really coming here to specifically attract, just for the free food. It’s not like I didn’t want to meet any new people, but I also didn’t feel like putting myself out there.”

He seemed rather intrigued by my answer. He took his cup and chugged his beer in 2 seconds: “Come on, I’ll introduce you to some people.”

He was walking back inside and I followed. We pushed back through the crowd I had just escaped. Calum stopped in front of a blond guy with his hair pushed up into a quiff.

He yelled over the loud music. “This is my friend. I don’t know, you might kick off!” The blond guy tried to speak as loud as he could in my ear so I could hear him “Hi, I’m Luke!”

“Y/N!” I yelled back

“May, please stop.”

“I’m just saying,” she said while taking another sip of her chai latte, “he’s got potential.”

I looked at his pictures again. I couldn’t really put my finger on what it was, but something seemed off about this guy. Maybe I didn’t like his nose or his eyebrows. Just something. I handed her the phone back: “I’m sorry May, I just don’t, how do i say this, feel a connection.”

“Oh come on, Y/N,” she muttered while looking at me with her typical pleading eyes, “you haven’t even met him yet, maybe you guys have a great connection.”

I avoided looking directly at her: “ugh, I don’t know May”

She took my hand and spoke more comforting this time: “Just think about it okay? You can’t wait around all year.”

“Fine, I will,” my phone buzzed in my back pocket, “I have to run, see you tonight.”

She smiled as I left our table and the Starbucks.

The uber I ordered was waiting for me at the corner. I gave him the address of my office and he started driving. He was playing a local radio station, when suddenly I heard a voice I’d recognise anywhere. He was singing beautiful lyrics, but i just couldn’t enjoy it: “Would you mind changing the channel? I think they’re discussing the world cup over on another one.” Great excuse Y/N. He did as I asked and soon after we reached my destination.

I thanked him for the ride and walked inside.

I tried to finish my project, but kept having to change the radio station because they wouldn’t stop playing the damned songs. I got it they were good.

As soon as I finished I got back to my apartment to change and headed over to May’s.

She let me in and we watched tonight’s game while drinking one of her gin tonics.

“Have you thought about the guy?” She eventually asked. “He seems cute,” I lied, “but just not my thing. Sorry May.”

I could notice the change in the way she looked at me: “Y/N, seriously. You have to give some guys a chance. “

I shifted nervously in my seat: “ I get that and i told you I’m sorry”

She relaxed and looked at me: “It’s okay, I think they’re going on tour soon. When you saw him tell me if his little guy had as much of a glow up as his face did.” She was smirking and winked while saying that last sentence. I hit her with one of the cushions “Jesus, May!”

May had been correct. Only two weeks later I got a text from Calum

Cal: heading to London!! Better be ready for a party when I arrive cuz the Hood is back!

I loved Calum I really did and I couldn’t wait to hang out with him, it’s just the trouble he brought with him that I did not enjoy at all.

Y/N: OOF! Can’t wait to see you bud. Guess I should already take my finest bottle out?

Cal: you bet!

If I was lucky I could avoid him for a while.

Avoiding him did give a twisted impression though. It’s not like I didn’t want to see him. It’s just that I already knew I’d get over attached again, we always go through the same goddamned routine:

I look into his beautiful eyes.

He tells me he missed me.

We end up spending the night together.

We end up spending all our free time together.

I get attached.

He gets attached.

And in the end I ask him to be in this long term and he tells me we can’t, then finally he leaves for months. Leaving me alone and heartbroken.
