Gotta love the implication from the marauders fans - if you're an ugly, white, poor kid - you deserve the many crimes committed against you. But if you are an ugly, black, poor kid - wait, that will make my faves look bad. My faves are saints because their victim is ugly and not part of a minority.
They're like Lily, laughing at someone who's being abused because the abusers are ~handsome~
Well, at the end of the day, these are people who engage in victim blaming, support and excuse bullying, and minimize sexual offenses—so it’s not like we can expect much from them in terms of moral consistency or ethical coherence. The real issue isn’t that they think it’s acceptable to abuse a white child; it’s that they know they can justify it because no one will call them out the way they would if the child were a POC. The latter is visually more striking, carries far more controversial implications, and forces an uncomfortable conversation they don’t want to have.
The problem with these people is that they refuse to confront their own cognitive dissonance and the narrative of victim-blaming and perpetrator-exoneration that they’ve upheld for so long. They know that the moment the severity of the bullying Severus endured is laid out in a way that can’t be denied—because it will be too visually explicit to ignore—they won’t have anywhere to hide. And honestly? I find that wonderful in one way, but on the other hand, it’s pretty sad that this isn’t about genuine political awareness for them but rather a purely materialistic concern over their own image within the fandom.

As somebody who has struggled with mental health all of their life and still does, Jinx's romance with Ekko means the world to me.
I'm sick and tired of people considering mentally ill people just "not interested in love" or, on the other side, "not healthy enough to be loved". Which is utterly stupid. Ekko falling for Powder but clearly showing signs of wanting to learn more about Jinx and on his way to love her too, realizing that her damaged past and issues do change her but she's still his girl. It's brilliant writing.
He can't be a savior to her, because there's nothing to save. There's nothing to fix. The whole message Jayce gives with "there's beauty in imperfections" goes hand in hand with Powder's "sometimes taking a leap forward means leaving a few things behind". Ekko goes from wanting to save her to wanting to see more of her and leaving Powder behind to know about Jinx. With Ekko loving Jinx nevertheless it shows that mentally ill people can be loved. And with Powder reciprocating and Jinx making amends with Ekko (with the romantic context behind already seen) it's breaking the whole stereotype of her being this "insane maniac with no remorse and unable to show love".
So I guess what I want to say is that their relationship would've worked in another universe, but I want to believe it could've worked in this one (with time), too.
If this is not their dynamic then what it
I love an idiot x idiot trope ^_^

This scene is so romantic in my eyes. Hear me out: "Kacchan" was a nickname given to Katsuki by Izuku before either of them got their quirks, before the bullying. "Kacchan" was just a nickname given to him by his close friend, and that's probably why he never asked Izuku to stop calling him that, even during middle school. Katsuki still cherished that name. It's special (at least, that's what I like to delude myself into believing). What's so special to me in this panel is how Katsuki doesn't call himself by his hero name, but the name Izuku gave him. It's like Katsuki has finally let go of his past self, his need to present himself as superior to Izuku, because deep down, he always felt inferior to him, ever since they were kids. You could argue that he let that go during the apology, and you're right, but I believe he fully let it go here. Katsuki does love Izuku, and that's why he's so proud to call himself "Kacchan" in this panel. If this isn't peak romance I don't know what is.
