Saintess Lily in all her infinite wisdom would never marry a bully - he evolved like a pokemon and now doesn’t bully people behind her back at all, he showed his character growth by leaving his wife and child all alone while a mad man is after their heads to have fun with Sirius - cursing muggle police officers.

It’s canon that James lied to Lily. It’s canon that behind her back, he kept being a bully. But of course, that’s only if you’ve actually read the books. And clearly, a lot of people in that fandom haven’t—they’ve only seen the films, or worse, they’ve just skimmed fanfics and TikTok summaries. So what we end up with is a bunch of people talking like experts when they don’t know the first thing about what they’re discussing.

This scene is so romantic in my eyes. Hear me out: "Kacchan" was a nickname given to Katsuki by Izuku before either of them got their quirks, before the bullying. "Kacchan" was just a nickname given to him by his close friend, and that's probably why he never asked Izuku to stop calling him that, even during middle school. Katsuki still cherished that name. It's special (at least, that's what I like to delude myself into believing). What's so special to me in this panel is how Katsuki doesn't call himself by his hero name, but the name Izuku gave him. It's like Katsuki has finally let go of his past self, his need to present himself as superior to Izuku, because deep down, he always felt inferior to him, ever since they were kids. You could argue that he let that go during the apology, and you're right, but I believe he fully let it go here. Katsuki does love Izuku, and that's why he's so proud to call himself "Kacchan" in this panel. If this isn't peak romance I don't know what is.

“this ship is not canon” babe, they’re fictional characters. they’re not real. they’re literally dolls we play with. we don’t care about whether or not these fictional characters’ love story is canon in this piece of media that is also entirely based on fiction. I mean, sure, canon would be lovely, but it’s a bonus. it’s not necessary. what we care about is the fun of talking about these 2 idiots being in love.
