Boom: When we were younger, you convinced me eggs weren't real.

Trickee: They're not.

Boom: Haha, very funny.

Trickee: I'm serious. Didn't you hear?

Boom: No... what happened?

Trickee: ...Why would you fall for this again-

Branch: “Struggle with depression” would seem to imply that I am bad at being depressed when I am, in fact, very proficient at being depressed.

Creek: I feel like I have died and gone to heaven.

Branch: I have that dream, too, but you go in the other direction.

Poppy : I am in charge of this disaster!

Branch: I have a name, you know.

Branch: Anyone down to take couples counseling and see at what point the therapist realizes we barely know each other?

Poppy : Idiots to lovers, 20k words, angst with a happy ending.

Poppy : Five little monkeys jumping on the bed. One fell off and…

Branch: Was diagnosed with mesothelioma.

Branch: Die.

Creek: What did I do to you-

Branch: Poppy is restricted to decaf for the rest of this adventure.

Poppy : You were stabbed. Do you remember anything?

Boom : Only the ambulance ride to the hospital.

Poppy : That wasn't an ambulance, I drove you.

Boom : But I heard a siren.

Trickee: That was Hype .

Hype : Sorry, I got nervous.

Branch: Why is Ablaze crying on the floor?

Hype : he’s drunk.

Branch: And?

Hype : he saw a picture of Trickee's spouse.

Branch: But he’s Trickee's spouse.

Hype : I know.

Ablaze : I wasn’t that drunk.

Branch: You colored my face with a highlighter because you said I was important.

Ablaze : BECAUSE YOU ARE!

Trickee: I’ve only had Branch for a day and a half but if anything happened to them I would kill everyone in this room and then myself.

Trickee: I don’t know how you have your foot in your mouth, your head up your ass, and your nose in my business. But here we are, you fucking wizard.

Branch: I WOULD DESTROY THE WORLD FOR YOU!

Boom : Okay, can you do the dishes?

Branch: No!

Notable Dynamics in Kismet!

These are all in relation to my depiction of Kismet and how I write them, you can see my oneshot collection Familiar and New for some more context.

Ablaze and Trickee

- Ablaze and Trickee get along great. Maybe a little too well, they've both got a willingness to throw a punch that can be a little off-putting, especially to Pop Trolls.

- Their first real interaction was Trickee socking Ablaze right in the face and getting a black eye in return. They had a mutual respect for each other after that.

- Both of them are wildly protective even if they show it differently and after Kismet formed it created a strong bond between the two of them.

- As the two oldest they have a sort of comradery between them. There have been nights where they've stayed up late into the morning talking about BroZone and how much they despise them for what they did to Branch. Trickee doesn't mean it, Ablaze does.

Boom and Hype

- They already knew each other, vaguely, before Kismet. Back when they were Trollings in the Troll Tree their pods were fairly close to each other so they played with each other a lot before the great escape.

- Both of them are fairly emotional and positive and in a band full of repressed idiots and that's created a deeper connection between the two.

- They take great pleasure in ganging up on their bandmates to force them to talk about their feelings, especially Ablaze and Branch because it's an 80-20 chance that it'll work when it comes to those two. When they succeed they're very smug about it.

Trickee and Branch

- Trickee latched onto Branch after the whole Creek scenario, how angry and suspicious Branch was broke Trickee's heart, and Branch subconsciously latched on just as hard.

- Trickee has to sneak out to hangout with Branch but he couldn't care less about how much his mother hates the grey Troll.

- Branch tries really hard not to get attached to Trickee but it's hard when Trickee is always by his side with a fond smile and an angry retort for anyone who so much as looks at him wrong. He missed feeling loved and Trickee reminded him what it feels like to have someone who actually cares about him. It terrifies him.

- Trickee is so angry at BroZone and Pop Village on Branch's behalf, his determination to prove to Branch that he's not defective turned into a real and adamant adoration for the younger Troll that attached them at the hip for years. That desperation died down the longer they knew each other but the fire and drive that glued them together never left.

My Kismet AU headcanons !

Ablaze

Ablaze is the strongest and oldest of the band and behaves like a proud older brother towards his bandmates (not like JD back then) He's 39.

He is half Rock and half Pop Troll, which makes him a Rock-Pop Troll among his friends.

Ablaze is a calm and chill man, which makes him like a typical dad who allows absolutely everything! During the performance, he gains energy from the music and behaves teasingly during the choreographer.

He's just a cool and loyal Troll.

He has and can play electric guitar.

He literally sleeps in any place (Even standing, with a smile on his face ;])

He understands his close friends perfectly by their condition.

He likes to tease the hair of friends he meets on the way or when he stands next to them (especially Trickee and Hype come across this)

Ablaze really likes to hear about the activities of his friends, memorizing the smallest details. He has a very good memory.

If something goes wrong, or there is some tension in the band, Ablaze takes over and tries to restore harmony and stability in the band (he succeeds)

Hype

Hype is the leader of the band and the spirit of the company. He's 29.

He successfully works out compromises if there are any conflicts between his bandmates.

Hype is a truly caring Troll who speaks and does, motivating his band with infectious enthusiasm.

He wants his friends to feel not only recognized, but also supported, not just heard, but understood.

He coordinates meetings with the band and schedules concerts.

He has his own mug with the inscription "#1 Leader" which Boom gave him.

He often hangs out with Boom, and gave him the nickname "RainBro"

Hype has a habit of straightening his hair forward. That's why his hair is bent forward.

He clearly has silly and funny things that look funny in a good way.

Hype and Ablaze are responsible for the idea and lyrics of the song.

Boom

Boom is the designer and is responsible for the costumes for the performance. He's 28.

He's gay (canon) And he wasn't afraid to open up to his friends about it.

Boom is relaxed and cordial and sensitive to the feelings of others and appreciates harmony.

Boom easily reacts to the emotions of others, helping them establish harmony. He is even able to perceive the emotions of others just by listening to their voices.

He likes to spend time with his friends doing casual, fun things.

Boom will always find the right compliment to soften the heart that is ready to call his risky behavior irresponsibility or recklessness.

It's easy to make him laugh. He often laughs at Trickee's jokes.

He pricks up his ears in the direction where someone is talking to get into the conversation.

He is afraid to make mistakes when he creates costume designs.

He loves cocoa, exactly the kind that Ablaze makes.

Trickee

Trickee is the youngest of the band and a funny Troll. He's 26, just like Branch.

Nothing tires him out faster than talking about dry facts or harsh reality.

Trickee is responsible for the choreography, which he does very well.

He has shorter hair than his bandmates.

Trickee removes his glasses and pulls down his hair only when he is asleep or in order to walk freely.

He often does something risky, which forces his band to agree to protect him from the incident.

Trickee being the youngest, always hangs out with Ablaze, feeling protected and a little like a kid with an older Troll.

He loves almost everything Ablaze cooks! Its easy to convince Trickee to something (it is possible especially for Hype)

He has several copies of his glasses, as he broke his glasses not infrequently, even accidentally.

He has a habit of suddenly hugging friends from behind and sniffing their nice hair (this is normal for them x])

I'm finally came around to do my own Trolls HC list-thing (most are Branch related cuz he's my favourite):

Branch has almost perfectly trained senses from living and surviving on his own in the wilderness; he's got a very sensitive nose and he can easily hear the smallest movements even if they're fairly far away, etc.

Poppy makes sure to at least make a little noise when approaching Branch, as to not catch him off guard, since he had a tendency to get lost in thought when he feels he's in a safe and secure space, and can lower his defences. Kismet does the same (they're found family to me idc)

In the beginning, the bros found it kind of annoying/confusing how Poppy would start getting louder and yell out Branch's name every time they were getting close to him, probably shrugging it off to her just being a very hyper and overexcited girlfriend. It wasn't until they got to experience first-hand how Branch reacted when they suddenly just touched him while deep in thought, and let's just say, after having their arm pinned behind their back and a sharpened stick held to their throat a few too many times, they learned to give a heads-up.

Branch needs glasses. He stopped wearing them after Rosiepuff got eaten to fully avoid any connection with Brozone and his boyband persona. He's not completely blind and can still get around, but he relies mostly on his other senses (which also got way more sharp because of that), and has to get up close to see things in detail.

A HC I think I shared before: Branch is freakishly strong, but doesn't look it at first glance - He's very much humbled the bros (especially JD and Bruce) with this fact, when they try to wrestle him into a headlock to give him a nookie or a Wet Willy (JD and Bruce) and he just won't budge (Kismet knows to not even try) or when they want to help him carry something and they almost collapse under they weight when he hands it to them.

Besides being his vehicle, Rhonda is also JD's (unofficial) therapy animal.

Clay can't swim. He never learned since he spent his entire life in either the trolltree or the abandon golfcourse. When Bruce learns this, he takes it upon himself to try and teach him, but to their shared frustration, they both (Clay and Bruce) discover that Clay is apparently deadly afraid of open waters.

Bruce also didn't know how to swim when he first left the trolltree. He got washed up on vacay Island, having been staying afloat by holding onto a branch. The vacationers taught him how to swim.

JD can cook circles around most trolls. He did most of the cooking back in the trolltree 'cuz Rosiepuff was a horrible cook (referencing her apparently rancid-tasting fluffleberry cake), he also taught (Sp)Bruce how to cook, but never got around to teach the others 'cuz they split up. Bruce later incorporated some of JD's recipes into the menu at the restaurant.

Branch's tastebuds are pretty hardened (some might say almost nonexistent), and trolls tend to assume it's from his survival years, where he'd just eat whatever as long as it was edible, didn't matter what it tasted like. In reality, it's mostly from solely eating Rosiepuff's cooking for like maybe a year or two after the band split up (yeah that's all it took to mess them tastebuds up for years after). Ofc in the beginning, he had to force himself to even put the food in his mouth, but he did it 'cuz he wanted to make his grandma happy.

Kismet was formed shortly after the bros left. It was Rosiepuff who encouraged Branch to socialize with other trollings around his age, since he became very closed off after the split (tho' I think he'd been a pretty shy and quiet kid to begin with (with the exception of when he performed as Bitty B))

Branch used to get bullied (more) for his greyness as a kid. Kismet would chase them off.

Although Branch is not as forgiving either, Kismet 100% holds a grudge for the bros leaving Branch - the Snackpack too, when they also learn what happened.

The bros are absolutely bewildered by the fact that Branch is dating the Queen, and that he'd probably one day be King. Branch himself gets very anxious when they mention this; just the thought of that much responsibility and being in the spotlight like that has him sweating.

Bruce's favorite way of annoying Branch is to tease him about his and Poppy's relationship, asking him when he can expect the wedding invitations and some nieces or nephews. In reality, it's probably Poppy that proposes in the future, with a long, romantic and heartfelt speech ofc (and yes, he cries).

Types of Ships

Ships: the average joe

Boats: tiny ships that don't last for too long

Submarines: unknown/widely unpopular ships

Ghost ships: sunken ships that still sail, where one/both sides of the ship have died

Battleships: antis; they sink other ships for their own benefit, and are the cause of many ships wars

Water Police: they are the peaceful kind; they ship anything, and are always trying to (unsuccessfully) prevent ship wars

The Titanic: huge ships, usually OTPs that everyone knows are going to sink at some point

The Ark: end-game OTPs. Like it or not, everyone knows they're going to happen

so it occurs to me that there may be some confusion about my two new Gravity Falls AUs, so here’s a summary of each!

Timeshift AU: In this AU, Dipper and Mabel accidentally go back in time to when their Grunkles were teenagers. it can be set before Stan and Ford’s relationship fell, or maybe they go back right as Stan is about to accidentally wreck Ford’s project so it never gets wrecked in the first place (and if it does, it’s not by Stan), or when Stan gets kicked out… this AU could be either really cute or really dramatic. there are a lot of possible interactions with Dipper and Mabel and their teen Grunkles, depending on which situation someone wants to go with this.

Maybe Dipper and Mabel manage to talk to Ford after Stan is kicked out, trying to convince him to go after Stan? Maybe the kids tell Stan and Ford about the future (”Grunkle Stan, you punched a PTERODACTYL FOR ME!! AND YOU FOUGHT OFF A HOARD OF ZOMBIES!” “Great Uncle Ford, you’re so cool! You have these awesome futuristic weapons, and one time we explored an alien space craft!!”) Maybe the kids try to help Stan and Ford understand each other a little? this AU is really flexible and could go in a lot of different directions.

Timetrapped AU: this is basically an AU of the Timestuck AU, where Dipper and Mabel get into a fight, grab the tape measure time travel device, and Mabel accidentally goes back in time and meets mullet!Stan. she then has to convince Stan to take her to Ford so she can fix the tape measure and go back to her own time, while having adventures with and bonding with Stan.

in the Timetrapped AU, however, Mabel AND Dipper both go back in time, Mabel with mullet!Stan and Dipper with super paranoid just-found-out-Bill-is-evil Ford. both kids have no idea where the other is, and Mabel is the one who ended up with the broken tape measure. so she has to convince Stan to take her to Ford’s so Ford can fix the device, while Dipper has to convince Ford that he’s not some spy that Bill made a deal with or possessed. they eventually bond with their Grunkles and have their own adventures, all while freaking out because they don’t know where the other is and the last time they saw each other was when they were having a fight and saying hurtful things to each other, so they’re also feeling really guilty.

Mabel and Stan eventually reach Ford’s. Mabel has no clue that Dipper is there, so when they reunite, it’s full of tackles and hugs and apologies. the idea is that, hopefully, seeing the kid’s relationship could help Stan and Ford repair their own relationship. (especially since Mabel and Dipper had a fight before they were separated, and were so worried about each other, not to mention Dipper and Mabel are very similar to both Stan and Ford in a million little ways).  plus lots and lots of family bonding, and possible drama with Bill, the journals, and the Portal, and adventure. lots of potential here.
