synopsis: you got in over your head and now you're shoulder to shoulder with the brash, attitude-driven man you've been in love with for far too long... only to realize he's actually kinda sweet?
authors note: soft katsuki truther here! he's so baby :( masterlist link here. word count 1k.
The air smelled like vanilla and something sweeter—hope. It swirled around you, light and dizzying, as you found yourself shoulder to shoulder with none other than Katsuki Bakugo. The two of you sat side by side at the kitchen counter, arms brushing occasionally as you prepared the ingredients for a cake.
Just a cake. It wasn’t for anyone. No birthday. No celebration. Just an indulgent act of free will. Maybe also a little bit of pride—after all, you’d told Katsuki you were a better baker than him. A bold claim, especially considering you had never actually baked anything before. But how hard could it really be?
What you hadn’t anticipated was how much being this close to him—how feeling his warmth radiate off him—would rattle your heart. How it would shake in your ribs like a lockbox, refusing to stay shut.
Maybe challenging him to a bake-off was never about the cake at all.
Maybe it was just an excuse to be near him.
He’s pouring the flour with precise precision, brow furrowed, bottom lip jutted out slightly—focused in that way he always is. Like even this dumb cake matters.
And that’s when you know.
This isn’t just a crush.
You’re in love with Katsuki Bakugo.
“Hey, idiot,” he growls, voice low and gruff, not even glancing away from the bowl. “What’s got you all zoned out over there?”
You blink, shaken from your thoughts. “It’s nothing. Just in my head.”
He hums—nonchalant, lazy—and knocks your ankle with his. “I got time. This shitty cake’s gonna take a while. Nothin’ better to do.”
You look down, fiddling with the edge of the counter. “Seriously. It’s nothing.”
He huffs. “Alright,” he says, then suddenly swipes his hand across your face, smearing flour on your nose.
“Hey! Why’d you do that?” you squeal, mock anger in your voice, laughter already bubbling out of your chest.
He just shrugs, still not looking at you. “Got you to laugh. That’s why.”
The air stills again, cinnamon-sugar haze floating between you two like something sacred. It hits you low in the belly—like a sugar rush, like nausea, like knowing something too soon. You’re in love with him. And the realization settles on your tongue like buttercream frosting—thick, sweet, impossible to ignore.
You both go back to prepping ingredients. It’s quiet now. Warm. Comfortable in a way that makes your skin hum. You have no clue what you’re doing, but Katsuki? Katsuki’s already mixed everything. Eyes narrowed in concentration, like he does with everything. Even something as small as this.
He pads over to the fridge, and you watch him—honestly, shamelessly—in awe. His back muscles flex beneath that black tank top, arms scarred and strong. And kind. That’s what people miss about him. He’s kind, in the loudest, brashest, most infuriating way.
He returns with a container of strawberries—red, plump, glistening with dew droplets.
“Why’d you get strawberries?” you ask, voice soft, heart loud in your chest.
He grunts. “They’re your favorite, aren’t they?”
Your face flushes. “I mean… yeah. Yeah, they are. How’d you know that?”
You swear his ears turn pink—just a little. Or maybe it’s the lighting. Maybe it’s your lovesick brain playing tricks on you.
He mumbles, quieter this time, “You’re always at that dumb bakery. Always holdin’ those strawberry cakes.”
Then he laughs, turning to look at you. “You always got frosting on the corners of your mouth.”
And he’s beautiful when he laughs—bathed in sunlight, blonde hair glowing, eyes crinkled just right. Sharp and warm at once. He smells too sweet, like a toothache. Like maybe he tastes sweeter than he ever lets on.
And somehow, you just know he’s a toothache waiting to happen.
He turns back around and drops the chopped strawberries into the batter. “We’re making strawberry cake. Figured I can do better than those damn extras at that bakery.”
Your heart stutters. You open your mouth to say something—anything—but Katsuki beats you to it, swiping a floured palm across your face again.
“Suki, why?” you whine, half-laughing.
“You’re too quiet,” he says, like it’s the most obvious thing in the world. “You’re never this quiet.”
You don’t respond. Instead, you dip a spatula into the batter and fling a glob onto his shirt.
“Oh, you fuckin’ brat—!” he growls, lunging toward you.
You duck and dart away, the cramped kitchen barely big enough for the two of you. You both fling batter, laughter echoing off the cabinets, slipping around each other in a haze—two grinning, lovesick idiots flinging batter, and running away from feelings.
Until Katsuki catches you by the waist.
He hoists you up, but you twist in his grip, smearing more batter onto his cheek. The two of you tumble to the floor in a heap—hair sticky, faces floured, breath coming in short, laughing bursts.
Katsuki’s hand rests on your knee. Everything stills.
“I suck at baking,” you breathe.
He arches a brow, then lets his expression fall flat. “Yeah. I know.”
You look down, trace little circles across his hand where it holds you.
“Just wanted an excuse to spend time with you,” you admit, voice quiet. “Stupid, ain’t it?”
He snorts. “Yeah. Stupid.”
“Hey—” you go to swat him again, but he’s faster. He grabs your wrist gently, fingers flexing.
“Stay still,” he says—more of a request than a command. And then he’s leaning in. Slow, like he’s giving you time to run. But you don’t. You stay.
This is the moment.
The one you’ve dreamed about—
And then the bag of flour tips.
The whole thing spills down on him from the counter.
He looks pissed—face screwed up and white with powder—but you just laugh, reaching up to brush it from his lashes. He blinks red eyes through it all, and you kiss him.
Soft. Unsure.
Until he kisses you back.
And then you know.
You know for certain that you are in love with Katsuki Bakugo.
Flour-covered and all.
He grips your hair, angles your face, kisses you like he means it. Like he’s trying to memorize you. He tastes like vanilla and spice. Like something sweet, something secret.
Something only you get to know.

im sorry but im doing this for fun and just don't do things that im uncomfortable with (yes this means my ask box is open lol
my rules aren't super strict, i just don't do nsfw and stick to fem readers or gender neutral just because that's what's easiest for me.
i don't like being mean to people, even if they're doing something i personally find cringy or something i wouldn't do that doesn't leave room for mocking them.
A little disclaimer!! I've written a lot in the past and have been in fandoms since I was a little child. But I feel like I've lost my touch, a lot of my talents aren't as practiced as I'd like them to be. This account is for me to just heal a part of me that I'd always hurt or been made fun of for. Right now as you can tell my by blog Katsuki is a very big comfort character of mine. I could go on and on, but the gist of it is, please be nice I'm not trying to be perfect, I'm trying to have fun with everyone.
if the sun refused to shine Because in the end we all grow up and sometimes the ones we love leave us.
“And then they lived happily ever after, opening their agency together.”
“And they stayed best friends forever and ever.”
Katsuki shoots you an offended look when he hears your teasing words, sitting in front of the bright pink dollhouse that was supposed to be the supposed agency. “That wasn’t in the script.”
His words sounded a lot more serious than they should be, especially with how he was choosing to deal with things. As silly as it was, you weren’t judging his decision to play make believe instead of getting angry, knowing how different he’s become with time. The slight flush to his cheeks as he tries to keep up a firm expression tells you everything, because he really did think things would be the same as when they were younger forever after things had developed for the better between them back in highschool.
And they were.
But they were adults and being adults meant a lot more on their plates and a lot less playtime. “Sweety, it’s one in the morning, can we stop playing with the dolls and go to bed? Things will be fine, you’re seeing him tomorrow.” You say, settling your daughter’s plushie down with a sigh as you slump in your spot where you sit on the ground beside him.
Katsuki just looks at you for a second, cheeks flushing a bit in humiliation as he tries to think about what to say in response to that, knowing he might’ve been a little dramatic over the day's events.
“...Fine. Let’s go.”
A little laugh leaves your lips as you hold your hands out for him to help you up, grinning at him with a loving look in your eyes.
“Everything’s okay, you’re gonna wake up in the morning, drive our little peanut to school-” “What the hell? Why am I driving her all of a sudden?” “Because I’m lazy and have swollen ankles.” A sigh leaves his lips as he gives in and nods, already knowing he’s lost the minute you bring up the pregnancy card. “Yeah, yeah, I’ll make sure to do that before work, you sleep tight. I owe you for staying up with me.”
A smile was present on his lips as he looked down at you, hand resting at the back of your head as he brought you closer into a hug, resting your forehead to his chest before pressing a kiss to the top of your head.
“Thank you.”
That's how you knew Katsuki would be alright, the both of you going to bed with the soft hum of the AC lulling you to sleep, holding each other close with your hearts beating peacefully against each other.
a little note: hi, this is my first fic post i've done in years lol i just wanted to do something sweet because right now i rlly love Katsuki's character. if this didn't make sense it's supposed to be what happens after he comes home in the epilogue.
shopping again?
Katsuki loves you, he really does with all his heart. But your obsession with little trinkets drove him crazy, the thing that drove him even more crazy was how he folded every time you smiled at him. Letting you get away with everything under the moon.
At least you were obsessed with collecting random cute things like sanrio character themed collectables, or those dumb dolls that come with the lip glosses he keeps finding scattered around your home no matter how hard he tries to keep the house clean. You could've been obsessed with cars or handbags.
But hey he wasn't going broke right away, just steadily and as willingly as your merciless soft and moisturized hands let him possibly be. Yes you loved handbags, it's what you put those dumb keychain dolls on, but you didn't force him to get you a bunch. Hell, half of your wardrobe was made up of things he just saw and thought you'd like. Of course he was right, he knew you better than you knew yourself.
He really needed to stop spoiling you, you were starting to become a brat without even trying. Just giving him a little look before he just shrugged, trying to keep his act of nonchalance up. The truth was you were more expensive than making Izuku's damn suit and he couldn't even say anything about it.
Especially when you'd been learning Japanese so diligently for him, your little accent just made it even more cute to him. Biting the inside of his cheek every time you stuttered over your words as you asked him for something.
Today was no different, with you tiptoeing over to him with that sheepish look that told him you'd found out about something that required driving or money, usually both. "Katsuki... Could we go to the mall, please?" There it was, the answer was obvious even though he rolled his eyes and tried to keep up the facade of annoyance. "Why?"
Watching your cheeks puff out a bit and your eyes flicker away from him told him everything he needed to know. Rolling his eyes before grabbing his phone and just checking for himself if there was something, groaning when he realized throwing his head back to the couch cushion.
“It’s not…” “It is.”
“Why? Don’t you already have enough of those stupid stuffed animals? Our bed barely has enough room for us on it anymore. Why do you need one giant one?” His question just made you huff a bit, grabbing his hand with that same begging look in your eyes.
“It’s so cute, please? I know our room’s really girlie, but it makes me happy…” He hesitates at that admission, sighing before yanking you down and pressing a little kiss to your cheek, grumbling under his breath as he hugged your little tummy. “Fine, but you owe me.”
“A thousand kisses?” The words earned a snort from him, shaking his head as he bumped his nose to your neck, nuzzling it in a bit. “Two thousand.” A little giggle left your lips at that, turning to hug him back as you start dramatically smooching his face all over. “Easy.” Yeah… He was a sap, but at least he got kisses.
kind words and comments r always welcome!

drew this helpful diagram for mha fans who don't understand what a character arc is
something you'd never expect
Summary: You’re Bakugo’s wife and he’s finally introducing you to his friends… But things take a turn. Disclaimer: This might be a sensitive subject to some people, there’s nothing NFSW, but it briefly talks about fertility issues. If this triggers you at all, please don’t read, I don’t want anyone to be uncomfortable when reading my content.
The doorbell of your home rang, with Bakugo looking exhausted already at the idea of having to deal with his friends. Opening the door to see everyone besides Mina thanks to her not being available to join. He was just about to tell them to come in when you shove your head over his shoulder to see them. “Are these guys your friends?” You ask him in English, looking them all over before shoving your hand up to take a sip out of your milkshake as you look at them all. Katsuki just sighs, giving you a forced glare, trying to get you to behave for once. “They’re not my… Forget it, just move so I can let them in.” His words rang half hearted, not really having the energy to do anything. Pausing when he sees you move and give him an apologetic look, his expression morphing to be fond as he pats your head before walking you over to the couches. Everyone looked shocked to see him actually let you eat somewhere other than the dining table. What happened to their high strung Bakugo that they know and love? “Katsuki, could you get me some fries?” “You just put them in the fridge?” “I know but I changed my mind and don’t wanna get up.” “...Fine.” That’s how he ended up getting up and going to reheat your leftovers while you sat with his friends. At times like this, they wished Mina had more free time for them, they still didn't know how to talk to girls, even at their grown age. “So how’d you meet Bakugo?” Sero asked you in English, trying not to be insensitive to the fact that you were clearly only communicating in it. “Oh he was in America when he was working on Izuku’s suit and-” Katsuki gives you a panicked look from the kitchen, looking over the counter as he waved his hand cut-throat style to tell you to stop talking about it. Not wanting the details of your unsteady citizenship in the country be discussed until his lawyers figured everything out. “We got along cuz we both like food and kinda fell in love I guess.” Katsuki’s expression fell to an unimpressed one hearing how much of the story you skipped over. He knew you were trying not to go into the details, but damn… He forgot how bad you were at reading social cues. “Of course that’s what it was.” Denki says, making everyone else just smile awkwardly. It was laughable how much of a softie their friend actually was, finally coming back after microwaving your fries and adding some more salt to it. Bringing you the little paper cup they were kept in and wiping some whipped cream you got on your cheek. His action had you beaming at him, moving to press a kiss to his as thanks, not noticing how red his ears turned at the action. He sighed a bit, fiddling with the little ring on your finger quietly, wait no correction that thing was huge, what the hell? Bakugo definitely wasn’t cheap, that much is becoming more and more apparent. The way you were dressed finally settled into their brains, pale colors and lace trimming. The group’s jaws just drop, not expecting his wife to genuinely be his polar opposite. Beaming widely, wearing pale white accents with your clothes looking more dressed up next to him wearing all black and dressed in track pants. What’s he doing with a princess? That’s when they saw you munch down on your fries with a blissful look on your face, reaching for the little bag of goldfish you had and some cheese sticks. You were eating a lot actually, they didn’t notice until now. Watching you finish up and start gulping down at that giant milkshake in a size they didn’t even know restaurants served.
They all pause, faces pulled into awkward little smiles or looks of complete shock. Of course he married someone who eats just as much as him. The sight of you happily sipping on your milkshake as you hug his side was an interesting one, with his face expressionless as he rubs his hand up and down on your shoulder. He was letting you be affectionate with him?! No, he was the one being affectionate… Did you have him for ransom or something? Actually, he looked pretty happy, or as happy as he could really show?
Katsuki looks at you, expression held calm as he brings a hand to the top of your head, sighing a bit at how sweet you looked in the moment. As silent as he tried to keep it he was weak to you, so weak that he could barely hide it. “You said if I took you to get something unhealthy you’d only have a little bit of the food today, you finished the whole bag.” He chides as he gently runs his thumb over your cheek. Kirishima being ever the gentleman comes to your defense, furrowing his eyebrows in concern. “Hey man, let her eat what she wants.” The defense just left Katsuki slightly miffed, looking over to his friend tiredly. “It’s not like that, I just-” Katsuki pauses when he notices you going over to the kitchen, eyes shooting wide before turning on the couch and looking over it to you. “Hey! What did I say about snacks?” Your shoulders slump cartoonishly, looking at him with a frown. “To eat fruit or to ask you to make me something…” Katsuki gives you a stern look, watching you stop yourself from opening the pantry where all your favorite snacks were. Sighing in disappointment with himself for even letting you convince him to buy all of that. “Right, and what are you doing right now?” Your expression looks more ashamed at his words, looking down as you kicked your foot to the tile of the floor a bit. “I’m not doing either of them.” With that you mope and walk back over to him, snuggling to his side quietly, leaving him to feel the tiniest twinge of guilt. Sighing as he pets your head with a look of concern, muttering into your hair as he brings you closer. “I’m sorry, you know I’m not trying to upset you. But you know what the doctor said, we’ve gotta eat healthy for everything to work…”
The small intimate moment just had his friends sitting there nearly the color of ghosts, looking at him with their jaws nearly hitting the floor. Finally, one of them spoke up, the four of them doing their best to not go speechless every time they saw him interacting with you as if it was a crazy phenomenon. “What exactly do you need to work?” Sero asked, giving Katsuki a slightly sceptical look, unsure how he was going to react to the question.
Everyone’s mouths went from wide open to snapped shut when Katsuki sighs, looking at you quietly before letting himself admit it. “We’ve been going to the doctor a lot lately… We’ve been trying for a baby and things have been… Hopeless.” He admits, bringing his hand down from your cheek to your shoulder, squeezing it in reassurance when he feels your mood shift. Your eyes downcast as you lean into him, fighting the urge to bring your hand to your tummy. Fingers clutching into your skirt, words quiet as you speak in English; still struggling with Japanese even after the months went on, catching onto what he was telling his friends. “I’m the reason we can’t and I wanted it…” You whisper out, quickly being shushed by Katsuki, his hand running over your hair as he pressed a chaste kiss to your head. “It doesn’t matter, we’re doing it no matter what.” He promised, sighing a bit when you nod but head off your room. His eyes glued to the floor, expression ridden in nothing but guilt, looking back over to his friends tiredly. “Not a word.” He threatened, getting up and following behind you. The four just sat there, looking at one another with furrowed eyebrows, Kirishima, Sero and Kaminari speaking to each other about it. Concern written all over their expressions as they let their thoughts run wild. “Man, that’s tough. I never would’ve thought Bakugo would even want to be a dad, but this? This is just…”
“Depressing?” Kaminari fills in, looking less sad and more concerned. “I hate to say it, but maybe it’s a blessing in disguise. I mean he just bought a Porsche, that’s not exactly a baby safe car. Not to be the bearer of bad news, but Bakugo isn’t exactly the most nurturing guy around.” Kirishima furrowed his eyebrows at Sero’s words, fidgeting a bit as he adjusted himself in his seat, sighing a bit as he conceded to it. “I mean yeah, he couldn’t have been with her for that long if we never knew about them, plus she can barely even get a sentence in Japanese out. But still… That’s gotta be rough.”
Izuku finally spoke up, having been quiet as he processed his thoughts with his eyes to the ground. “Kachan’s a lot more capable than you guys are giving him credit for. He never does anything without thinking. This makes sense though, he’s been a lot less angry and more just sad. We should be more supportive, he probably won’t say it, but he wants to know he has hope, especially when he has to be the one to give it to her right now.” Like usual whenever Izuku speaks up, everyone goes quiet for a minute, contemplating the way he sees things more clearly than them. Always analyzing the little details until they come together for him to fully understand the situation.
“I guess I never thought of it like that.” Kirishima admitted, with Kaminari chiming in to agree. Katsuki finally came back without you after a bit, not saying a word with his eyes puffy and slightly reddened. Keeping his responses short and offering up some tea, not responding when Kaminari asks about where you went. Simply saying goodbye to everyone without you when they took the hint that now wasn’t a good time for him to have company.
Even with all of them walking out together in silence, Izuku hoped the next time they came by, things would be different… The next time they’d come over would be a couple months later when Katsuki called them over to help with some housing adjustments. You opened up the door for them with a wide smile and noticeable change in your figure. Walking in to see him working on building a pink playpen and watching you rush over to him to hug his side, the blond letting out a little huff as he brings his hand to your head, leaning it closer as he rested his own to it. The four of them watched for a second. Kirishima smiling, with Kaminari and Sero processing it for a second, looking halfway to tears, but Izuku was beaming. Looks like you guys are going to have a girl.
thank you for reading, kind words and comments r always welcome!
today, finally
summary: you guys almost lost hope on starting a family, but you didn't need hope anymore. this is supposed to be a kind of continuation of this.
same warnings apply, mentions of infertility and one reference to intercourse, nothing actually NSFW happens in this. I don't personally think it's anything too inappropriate, but in case you're uncomfortable with these things, I'd rather set up a warning.
idek what this is, but it's just a little drabble about how you guys found out you were pregnant. it was supposed to be a part of my part two story, but i felt like it was better as a stand alone so here u go :)
Ever since you’d found out you were pregnant Katsuki couldn't even hide how head over heels for you he was. Taking time off work, since you were starting to have a few complications. He’d run his agency from home and make sure to help you out with everything, resting a pillow under your swollen feet whenever you’d complain about them aching.
Not saying a word as he helped quietly, a small smile on his face as he saw you, unable to be straight faced when he’d gotten exactly what he’d wanted. Yes you wanted to have a baby first, he’d known you loved kids since you’d met, but you had a good way of changing people’s minds about things.
When you’d get excited about something all you’d do was talk about it, explaining how amazing it’d be. At this point, he thinks you’re right, even though you admitted you barely knew how to hold a baby.
He knew he’d probably have to do most of the care of the baby for the first few months, but he couldn’t get himself to care. Just wanting to make you happy for as long as he could. The day you’d found out you were pregnant was one you’d never forget. The night was one like any other, with the both of you laying on the couch, you nearly falling asleep against him as you both watched the TV. His arms were around you to keep you from falling off the couch, sighing tiredly as he looked down at you for a second. Not paying attention to the movie playing until a loud sudden noise came from the speakers.
With you jumping awake and nearly falling off the couch, whining in complaint, before blinking at him tiredly. Realizing it'd been a week since the last time you guys checked, the both of you having gotten desperate as the months passed. “Should we try the test again?”
The question made his stomach turn, sighing a bit before pulling you closer until he could bury his nose into your hair, shaking his head as he squeezed his eyes shut. “Maybe not tonight.” The muttered out response had your shoulders slump, nodding as you hid your face in his collar.
Things had been less than eventful with your attempts to have a baby, it’d become so draining for you both. Going to the doctor to see what you could do, completely changing your diet like they’d suggested. Taking whatever stupidly expensive supplements they told you about, even trying the weird home remedies your family pushed.
But nothing, you’re still without the thing you’d wanted this whole time. It started to feel hopeless, and now all you could do was sulk with the guilt of wrapping Katsuki into it all, you’d gotten him to be just as excited as you and now there was no outcome. Plus, following a schedule to just do simple intimate acts wasn’t enjoyable at all… Maybe it was time to give up. Finally after closing your eyes for a bit, you open them up and pull back from him, looking him in the eyes with a frown. “Do you want to give up?” The words rang in his ears, having him freeze up a bit in shock at the idea.
Shaking his head right away, sighing tiredly. “No, we’re not doing that.” The shift in your mood made him more determined, moving you both to sit up, looking you in the eyes as he brought his hands to your shoulders.
“Take a test, you were supposed to have your period last Monday, right?” Watching you nod at his words gave him that little trickle of hope. With him now slumped against the wall, sitting on the floor outside of the bathroom as you took the test.
Fiddling with his shirt as he looked up at you when you opened the bathroom door, letting go and opening his arms up for you. “Come here.” It’d become routine at this point, the two of you sitting on the floor in each other’s arms, hoping for the best.
This time you guys just couldn’t hope anymore, resting your head to his shoulder as you close your eyes. “Maybe I’m just not meant to be a mom.” There it was, the vulnerability that you both didn’t want to be caught in, Katsuki just sighed, hugging you closer as he shook his head.
“Don’t say that, you know that’s not true. You can’t just take bad things that happen to you as you failing. Sometimes things just happen, we’ll get through this.” The timer you’d set went off right after that, with the both of you getting up to check, expecting the same result as always.
But it wasn’t this time, this time you saw the two lines on the stick, your eyes nearly bulged out of your skull. Jumping up to him and tackling him down on the floor. “It could be false, it could be, but it could be accurate! Katsuki, it could be accurate! I don’t even know how to hold a baby… Oh my God, I don’t know how to hold a baby!”
Katsuki was completely speechless, staring up at the ceiling as you ranted, his heart racing as he processed it. Finally looking back to you when you’d settled down and called out his name, looking you in the eyes as his mist over. “Take another.” He simply said, the shaking in his voice telling you everything you needed to know. Grinning as you started tearing up, you nodded at his words before getting up and rushing to the kitchen to guzzle down water until it hurt your stomach. Nothing could take you off your high in this moment, nothing. Not waiting to need to go, not having to set the timer again. Nothing.
And when you both finally heard your timer go off again, you rushed to see your result...
Looks like it was time to schedule an appointment with the doctor.

The necklace you wore around your neck since middle school caught the attention of your close friend Momo. It was a simple "K" attached to a dainty gold chain, you never took it off unless absolutely necessary. "Aww your necklace is so cute what does it stand for?" Momo called from across your guys table in the cafeteria. This gained the attention of all of your friends having never noticed the jewelry around your neck before. "I got it as a gift from a special someone back in middle school," you said smiling. "Well don't hold out on us who does the 'K' stand for!" Someone else from the table stated as they leaned closer to try and get a better look at it. Nods and small sounds of agreement came from around the table as everyone wanted to know the secret about the initial. You just sat there smiling debating if you should end their misery and just tell them. That was until the bell rang for next class, you used that as a chance to escape them laughing as you said a quick goodbye and went to class.
Your friends started discussing who it could be that you held so dearly in your heart that you'd wear their initial. The topic was talked about even as they were entering the classroom that it caught the attention of Mina and Denki. "What are you girls talking about and why am I not included," Denki joked as he wanted in on the gossip. "We're trying to figure out who the "K" stands for on y/n's necklace." The loudness of the group started bringing more attention onto the topic and soon enough everyone in class started thinking about it.
You thought it was funny how everyone was so concerned with the meaning of the necklace that they were overlooking a big fact that was right in front of them. You didn't want to give anything away so you just laughed or gave weird comments back when asked specific questions about it. "Do we know who they are?" "Wouldn't you like to know." "What is their last initial?" "Look at that bird out the window" "Do they go to UA atleast?" They asked in desperate attempt to get a clue. "Maybe," was your final answer as you smiled back at them while you continued to do your work. This was a big help as your classmates were trying to track down the names of people it could be. They got it down to people from this class and class 1-B as they were the only people you were close too.
In a final attempt Mina suggested a bet, everyone would pick a person who they think is your special someone and at the end of the week you would reveal the answer and the winner would get the prize money. You had no problem with this as you thought it was a fun game and you weren't actually trying to keep the person a secret. So you gave everyone until the end of the week but they couldn't ask you any questions about them, they had to figure it out on their own. With this everyone started brainstorming and some even making teams planning to split the money if they won.
"Hey bakubro wanna team up and try to guess who the necklace is about," Kirishima came up to Bakugo wanting to join in on the fun. "And waste my time, no thanks shitty hair!" He said grabbing his bag and walking out of class.
It was the end of the week and as promised everyone had their guesses. They still discussed who they think it could be as you weren't in class yet. Some disagreed with eachother on who it could be but everyone came to an agreement early on that it wasn't one person, Bakugo. He didn't seem like the type to date and they especially didn't think he'd be romantic enough to gift someone something so cute and meaningful. You came into class just as the bell rang so they weren't able to know who the necklace was about yet and had to wait till the end of class.
As you were packing your stuff ready to go home you looked up and found the whole class staring at you. "You can't leave yet you haven't revealed the person!" shouted Denki as he jokingly slammed his hands on your desk. "Okay okay I'll tell you guys who it is after I see who everyone betted on," you said thinking no one would get it right. Everyone started saying who they picked and you would just laugh and shake your head at their bizarre guesses, they all started feeling dejected thinking no one would get it right until it was the last person to guess, Midoriya. Not even giving him the chance to answer you got up and gave him the prize money knowing he was correct. "But how you didn't even hear his answer!" someone claimed as others joined in starting to get loud from this outcome.
It wasn't until the class noticed someone come up from behind you that they quieted down, that someone being the only person who didn't join in on the bet. Bakugo came up from behind and wrapped him arms around your waist kissing your hair as you leaned back into him. "Does that answer your question, extras!" he shouted dragging you out of class as everyone watched with their jaws dropped. "Kachann and y/n have been dating since middle school, how did you guys not guess that," Midorya laughed watching you two walk out together.
The only reason you knew he got it right was because he was there when it happened. Maybe not when Bakugo asked you out but he was your guys childhood friend and you all went to the same school so obviously he knew about you guys dating.
And when the clock strikes twelve I hope you think of me...
