xavier:
since he lives upstairs, he teleports around his apartment on busy days so his footsteps don’t bother you
he is the anonymous noise complaint demon in your complex. if something bothers you, he’s reporting it. and if your landlord doesn't do anything about it, he torments the offending tenants with blinding flashes of light every time they blast music at 1 am until they stop
let’s say your in-unit washer is really loud during the spin cycle. well, he comes over to sit with you until your laundry is finished. lets you use him as a stress ball so you don’t panic
orders you matching fuzzy earmuffs. they have bunny ears
if you’re eating at a loud restaurant—maybe some guests are celebrating a birthday or a graduation—he asks to be moved to a quieter section
zayne:
lets you hide out in his office when you’re overwhelmed: you lie on the sofa with the lights off while he's seeing patients
looks up expected noise levels, sensory guides, and accommodations in advance before you visit a new place
scarily mindful of his chewing. if you don’t like chewing sounds he makes his almost imperceptible when you eat together. you wonder if his jaw is even moving
researches your sensitivity and symptoms, consults his specialist colleagues about the details (keeping your identity a secret, of course #HIPAA)
comforts you whenever you feel like an inconvenience, holding you close and reminding you that you are not your condition—“don’t blame yourself for something you can’t control” (you’re one to talk, elsa)
sylus:
the gun silencer stays ON when he’s around you
when you arrive at the base one day and open the door, a legion of construction workers comes out. when you inevitably ask “hey sylus? um. wtf?” he leads you down the hallway and boom. soundproof paneling in all your favorite rooms
will put one of his precious vinyls on pause if you come to cuddle with him and get overstimulated from the sound
mephisto taps on your door one day. he is there to drop off 3 different pairs of thousand-dollar noise cancelling headphones
if his men are working on a loud project while you’re with him, he’ll supervise through his cameras instead of in person. he’ll take you to a different room and hum to you to drown out the noise
rafayel:
i have decided that rafayel uses echolocation at times since his eyesight is bad. when he’s stumbling around his studio at midnight, he’ll make some sharp noises to help him find his way in the dark—a clap or a stomp of his foot. BUT when you’re around he switches to quieter alternatives—a snap of his fingers or a click of the tongue
will Always ask for accommodations at the museums and galleries you visit. might get pissy about it if they’re inadequate
after seeing how your sensitivity affects you, he sets up a charity so a percentage of the proceeds from his exhibitions go to sensory disorder research and accommodations
won’t hesitate to ditch a showcase if you get overwhelmed and need to leave early
if you’re at the movies or a play or anything that has an audience he will straight up ask people around you to be quiet. and somehow with this guy’s charm and allure it always works. no issue
caleb:
fixes up your childhood white noise machine and regifts it to you for your birthday
he’s like a bodyguard, ushering you out of loud areas when you’re in public. he’ll even put his hands over your ears to muffle the noise, no matter how silly it looks
when you text him that you’re overwhelmed or have had a bad day, he’ll prep your room so you can collapse in peace when you get home: he turns the lights off, sets out your favorite snacks, puts freshly washed blankets on the bed, and has the white noise machine going near max volume. basically makes your own sensory room for you to hide in until you’re feeling better
thunder’s too loud? he’s there. wraps his strong arms around you like a weighted blanket and distracts you with memories and stories until the storm has passed
has a notebook solely for keeping track of your trigger sounds
if anyone at work or school mocks or questions your sensitivity, he finds a reason for The Colonel to pay them a visit and scares them out of their wits
woke up with a headache today, which wasn't fun, and had these ideas of how the lads boys would react if their love was suffering through a migraine. I get them a lot and I know people who get them even worse than me. anyways, this is the first time writing for some of these guys, so I hope they're not too ooc lol
It was a quiet day at work, one mainly just in the office, which you were grateful for. Only a couple minutes after you clocked in, you began to feel the dull pounding of a headache coming on. It hadn't been anything too bad at first. You took some painkillers to see if it would go away. But now, as you were staring at your computer screen, the headache wasn't going away but getting worse. It was beginning to feel like a heavy hammer was drumming on top of your skull in a dull, rhythmic motion. The pills weren't helping at all.
Then it happened. As you squinted at the blurry words on your screen, sudden bright lights flashed in your eyes. You looked away from the computer, tried to blink a couple of times, but they persisted, and the pain got worse. All you could do was hunch over your desk with your eyes squeezed shut.
"Hey, you okay?"
Xavier's soft, baritone voice came up beside you. You squinted up to see him standing there in his Hunter's uniform, watching you with obvious concern. You would usually shrug off the pain, say it's nothing, but not this time.
"Migraine." Is all you managed to get out. You held your head in your hands.
"Hm."
You glanced up at what seemed like a noncommittal response from him, only to see him walking away and towards the Captain's office. A few minutes later, he came back and laid a hand on your shoulder.
"I got the okay from the Captain. Come on, let me take you home."
"You didn't have to do that. I was gonna get up and ask in a minute..." you muttered, even though you felt relief wash over you. No matter how much you wanted to act tough, you knew you were no good to anyone with this migraine.
"It's fine. Besides, I know how bad your migraines can get. Here, let me help you."
He gently took hold of your hand to help you up. You were going to tell him you could walk by yourself when a wave of dizziness hit you. Fortunately, Xavier was there with a supportive hand on your back to make sure you didn't stumble.
"I'm right here. I won't let you fall."
The two of you left the Hunter's Association building and headed to the station. It was a sunny day out, which didn't help the throbbing pain in your head. You couldn't help but let out a quiet groan and placed your hand over your eyes.
"Here. Wear these." Xavier gently removed your hand and placed sunglasses over your eyes. With an arm around your waist, he led you to the station gate and got your card out of your bag to help you pass through the gate.
On the train, he led you to one of the seats and you slowly lowered yourself down onto one. The train, the people, everything was all so loud, they made you visibly wince. Xavier noticed right away, of course, and pulled out a pair of headphones you didn't know he carried with him.
"They're noise-cancelling headphones," he told you. "They might help." He placed them over your ears and through the dim shades of the sunglasses, you watched as he took off his outer coat and rolled it up.
"Lift your head a little," he softly told you. When you obeyed, he placed the folded clothing behind you against the window. It was a little makeshift pillow for you to rest your head upon.
"There. Just close your eyes. I'll let you know when we're at our stop."
You couldn't help but smile a little at how thoughtful he was being. As you tried to rest while on the train, you began to hear what sounded like white noise coming over the headphones. It was soothing. You heaved a deep breath and tried to relax as best you could while still being on the train. Xavier stood over you, watching you to make sure you were okay.
When you arrived at your stop, he let you know when it was time to get off and stayed with you on the way back to the apartment. The aura was not as bad as it had been at work, but you still could see a small orb in your vision that was messing with your eyes. You still also felt a little dizzy and leaned upon Xavier as you both rode the elevator to your floor.
"You're not going back to work, Xavier?" You asked as he punched in the code to your apartment.
"No," he answered. "I'm staying with you."
"You don't have to," you said, even though you were inwardly happy that he would be with you.
He smiled and squeezed your hand. "I want to take care of you. Come on, go get changed and lie down. I'll make you some tea."
Xavier struggled with cooking, but you had shown him the easiest way to make tea, and he wasn't too bad at it. You had to stress the importance of watching the stove, but after that, he had shown improvement. You could hear the sound of the tea kettle whistling as you changed into some comfy clothes and slid under your covers. The whistling sound didn't help the ache in your head, but you tried to ignore it.
Your room was dark, but not dark enough and the dim light was enough to make your eyes ache. You pulled the covers over your head and curled up into a ball, gripping the blankets. This is how Xavier found you when he entered the bedroom with a mug of warm tea. He gently set the mug on the side table, and you felt the mattress dip when he sat down beside you.
"Is your migraine still pretty bad?" He asked softly.
"Yeah," you answer.
"I'll make it darker in here."
You had blackout curtains in case a migraine like this hit you, and he tugged them together to cover up your windows the best he could. He then shut the door and unplugged the alarm clock so even that wouldn't shine any light. Even under your blankets, you could tell the room was much darker than before.
Xavier then pulled out his phone and again you could hear the low sound of white noise softly fill the room. Just like when he played it on the train, it was just enough to soothe you and didn't make your migraine worsen.
Xavier slightly pulled the covers aside to slide into bed beside you. You barely opened your eyes to see him next to you under the blankets. He gave you a soft smile and reached out to gently massage your neck.
"Try to sleep," he whispered. "When you wake up, I'll warm up the tea and we'll make something good to eat. You should also take some medicine again."
You took a deep breath and let it out slowly. Wrapping your arms around him, you nuzzled into his chest and closed your eyes.
"Thanks, Xavier."
Before you drifted off, you felt him rub your back and softly kiss the top of your head.
"You're welcome, star light."
xavier parenting au
A/n: rounding up the parenting au before all the fics and silly stuff, we got papa xavier and his 2, almost 3 children. (lumi was being a brat and demanded their release so you should thank little lumi) also Xavier's debut post! istg, i have a love-hate relationship with him because he keeps blocking zayne from coming home >:(
Primarily inspired by @tbaluver @starmocha and every xavier girl and boy dad thing I've seen since
Obligatory tag for Aly bc she's the kids godmother: @deusfoundry
cw/tw: family content, fluff, babies! very cute babies, pregnancy
wc: 732 words
Now now, papa xavier huh? This man sleeps more than your the children combined.
Xavier has collected all their plushies from the arcade, each child has a collection of plushies they sleep with.
He tries his best to cook meals for the kids but that didn't turn out good (He's gonna peel fruit from now on becuse cielo told him himself that he shouldn't cook, ever)
Anyways, Xavier is a father of 2 children . Well to put it accurately, 2 almost 3 children.
Cielo is the eldest child. He is 6 years old. His name means sky in Spanish, and you named him.
Looks like you but got Xavier's bright blue eyes and very relaxed personality.
As a baby, he was very quiet and sleepy, with the occasional fuss. Both you and Xavier had to constantly check on him to make sure he was breathing back then (he is don't worry).
When he's awake, he's a lively and smiley child. a little bit shy at first but he's cute
he's a little shit sometimes but that's okay his parents love him
hes a bit of an airhead sometimes
LOVES ALIENS (how do you feel about being part alien Cielo?)
He loves to read his father's comic book collection and sometimes copies the drawings
Reading his father's comic book collection had inspired him to write and draw things.
he loves his baby brother so muchhhh. he adores him since you had told him that he'll be a big brother
he read to altair (his little brother) as a baby
he's classmates with lumi, calebs middle child
he sometimes naps in class lol but is an all rounder
Is Lumi's secret-not so secret crush
Has the BIGGEST, FATTEST, CRUSH on Lumi but hes shy to tell her how he feels (maybe when theyre older)
wants to learn how to fight with a sword to protect his siblings too
meanwhile, his baby brother altair was named by xavier. He is currently 2 years old, thoughts and prayers to your both.
acts a lot like you, looks like xavier
the world's most fuzziest and crying baby
can not be left alone or he'll cry for mommy and daddy or cielo
he's very talkative and emotional
gets jealous when he sees lumi play with his big brother— always tries to sabotage it — well, as best as 2 year old can do
is the reason why you're pregnant, again. with a 3rd child. (hes jealous that his big brother is playing with lumi more than HIM). he basically demanded her into existence.
he's very cute like his brother too ! very respectful and gentle
likes being held
likes people reading to him, especially big brother Cielo
He loves animals! Really or stuffed toy otherwise
As mentioned, there is an upcoming child for Xavier, but it's still in the making.
it's a baby girl
whoops your having another baby again because your husband can't keep his hands off you, and baby altair is jealous that his big brother is playing with a girl instead him
The kids were with auntie Tara or Uncle Caleb and his kids when you got knocked up oopsies (you couldn't remember when because he fucked you STUPID and the sex was so good 10/10)
And now here we are :)
You're 5 months now Goodluck sweets
And this little miss is very active.
adores her father and brothers’ voice and touch
You have a name in mind, keeping how with the starry/constellation names
But for now? She's okay being a growing fetus.
Despite being a hunter, Xavier tries his best to come home uninjured or with injuries he can hide so that the kids won't worry too much.
On his days off, he spends most if not all of his time with the kids: playing, afternoon naps, going outside to enjoy hotpot dinners (cielo is an absolute fan of them), catching plushies, etc.
At the end of the day, he comes home from working, and sees them try their best to stay up, waiting for him. It brings a smile to his face. He puts his sword down, changes his boots into comfortable slippers, picks up Cielo and Altair in each arm and brings them to their beds for the night. After, he would enter your shared room to kiss you and the growing baby a simple goodnight before sleeping with you.
A/N: sigh. all of the introduction posts are done! everyone, please thank xia lumi for forcing me to post xavier and the kids (Shes playing with cielo now) i hope youre enjoying the au so far, feel free to request and ask more about this lovely au! i would love to yap more about the families and the little kids too! hope you like this one!
Seeing pictures of Xavier as Dark Lumiere and/or wearing that black hat inspired me to write about MC seeing him in all black, because let’s face it, that is a good look.
Warnings: SFW kissing, the slightest bit suggestive
You are way behind on the laundry. Two weeks of nonstop battling wanderers left you exhausted at the end of each day to where you could do nothing but eat and sleep, so household chores kept being put off until later. So much later that you barely had anything left to wear in your closet. You decide when you finally have a day off to cross off everything on your to-do list, beginning with the overwhelming pile of laundry.
As soon as you get dressed, you throw a load of laundry into your washer and take another basket upstairs to Xavier’s apartment. He said the night before he also had a lot of laundry to do, but his wardrobe is much smaller than yours. You were welcome to add your clothes to his load to get everything done quicker. The two of you promised to begin your chores early today, so you could spend the afternoon together resting.
You knock on Xavier’s door and enter the apartment without waiting for him to answer. Shifting the basket onto your hip, you walk through the living room and hear cups clinging from the kitchen. “Xavier, I’m here,” you say as you pass the kitchen, heading straight for the washer. “Is the washer ready to go?”
Strong arms wrap around your shoulders from behind as soon as you set down the basket, pulling you into a hug. Xavier’s warmth envelops your body. You grin as you lean into his chest. “Good morning,” Xavier whispers against your ear. His teeth graze your earlobe before he trails kisses down your neck onto your shoulder.
“Good morning,” you breathe out in a daze. There is no way you can focus on the task at hand when he’s like this. You turn in his arms to give your boyfriend a proper good morning kiss when your knees weaken at the sight of him.
Xavier is wearing all black, and, good god, does the color suit him.
You feel the blood rushing to your cheeks as you take in Xavier’s appearance. The black t-shirt and pants perfectly contrast his silver hair and transform the man’s demeanor from the gentle neighbor you know and love to a powerful knight. As your eyes scan over Xavier’s arms, you can more easily see how toned his muscles are and the veins running down his forearms. Memories of the night you two shared in a hotel while performing a “sensory test” in black bathrobes rush into your mind.
You gulp as you quickly look back up to meet Xavier’s eyes, only to immediately look away out of embarrassment. He watches your reaction, cocking his head to the side.
“Is something wrong? Your face is so red.” Xavier lifts a hand to your cheek. His touch sends an electronic bolt through your body. “You didn’t get sick from overworking yourself, did you?”
Unable to compose your thoughts, you begin to stammer. “Nn…no, I’m just surprised. You’re wearing black. I’m not used to seeing you like this.”
“Well,” Xavier chuckles, “all of my usual clothes are in the wash. This is all I had left.” He suddenly frowns. “Do you not like me in black?”
Your heart drops. Xavier looks genuinely upset, like a kicked puppy. You don’t want him to think you don’t like the way he looks, especially when the truth is quite the opposite. “What? That’s not it!” You clear your throat avoiding his gaze again and say quietly, “You actually look really hot.”
“Is that so?” You peek up at Xavier to see him smiling. His sapphire eyes light up with mirth. Xavier gently tilts your chin up, so you’re forced to look at him. “So you like how I look in these old clothes?” Meekly nodding, Xavier steps closer to you until your back is against the wall. “Should I wear them more often?”
“Not in public. I don’t think I could handle it.” Xavier smirks before giving you a passionate kiss.
As he breaks away, his breath tickles your ear. “This is a good morning. By the way, I made you breakfast. Let’s go eat.”
Xavier turns and strolls to the kitchen like nothing had just happened. Your knees finally give, causing you to slide down the wall and let out a shaky breath. This is going to be a long day.
*Nudges Season Three Lauren with foot* Doing okay there, sport?
Pairing: Xavier x mc
Cw: angst, mentions of captive bird, spoilers for Caleb’s story, threats of violence, Xavier being protective, use of nickname Starlight, comfort, probably other stuff
A/n: I love Xavier so much, I just finished the Caleb story and the entire time I kept thinking that Xavier and Sylus would never do that. Zayne probs too but he’s not my favourite. Anywho, enjoy the Xavier fic, might write one about Sylus soon.
——————
Xavier’s knee bounced. Up and down and up and down and up and down. His heart raced, faster and faster. Whether it be nerves or anxiety, he wasn’t sure. Maybe both. He hadn’t seen you for a week, the last he had heard from you was that you were going to Skyhaven for a mission and you would be back. That’s it. No other communication, nothing from Jenna, Tara had no clue where you were, and Simone wouldn’t spill.
Over the past week, he had barely been able to sleep, he was so worried. After hearing about the explosion by the overpass, his anxiety spiraled further at the thought of you getting hurt. He knew you could handle yourself, his trust in you was beyond words, beyond measure even. He had seen you in countless fights, had seen you take down coutless wanderers, but he was always by your side. He was there to step in if you ever got hurt, and that’s where his anxiety stemmed from. He needed you by his side, not for your own sake, but for his.
He on his couch, waiting for something. Today was supposed to be the day you were to come home. He also knew Skyhaven was hard for you, after all, your childhood best friend had lived there. His heart tinged a bit, some jealousy creeping up through the anxiety. He pushed it aside for now, he had bigger things to focus on than his petty jealousy. His phone dinged, a light melody that he only used for you. He picked it up immediately and checked the text.
“I’m back.”
“R U home?” His breath quickened, he needed to see you.
“Yes.”
“Can I come see U?”
“Please”
He stood up. He grabbed his wallet, the book he had been reading, and the two new stuffies had caught at the arcade while you were away. He still needed his teacher with him, even after his near fifty tries a day, he only caught the two. He teleported to your front door. He needed to see you as soon as possible. He needed to be close to you, and hear your voice, and be in your presence.
He knocked three times, and unlocked the door. He called out your name and saw you by your windowsill, look out at the sky, with a solemn look on your face. You looked over at him, and a small smile grew. He knew something was off. Your emotions were always easy for him to read, you never put any effort into hiding them when he was around. He put down your stuffies on the couch, along with his book and approached you.
“How was your trip?” He stood next to you, trying to be a calm and comforting presence. Someone you could lean on. And you did, you leaned into his side a little and look into his soft blue eyes. You felt safe beside him. You felt a lump form at the back of your throat, and felt your eyes sting a little as you tried to hold back your tears.
“It was rough,” you managed to get out. A singular tear fell, and he noticed it immediately. He wasn’t sure what to do. He felt the panic creep up his throat, his eyes widened and he reached out to wipe it away.
“What happened?” His voice was measured and hardened. Ready to go after whatever had caused your pain. To stop whoever had hurt you. To protect you.
“Caleb… is alive.” More tears fell, your complicated emotions were clear on your face. Anger, fear, some resentment, longing, and pain. Xavier knew all of those well. He also knew what this would mean for you. Your childhood best friend, the one you had mourned, the one you had cried yourself to sleep over, was alive.
“What?”
“He was alive this whole time Xavier, and he’s involved with Ever. And he…” you trailed off. Xavier’s eyes quickly examined your face, and he knew something else had happened. He was not going to push, he was going to wait until you told him yourself. He, however, was more than ready to kill the bastard again if it meant keeping you safe.
“What did he do to you?” His voice, was comforting to you, and you wrapped your arms around his neck and let the tears flow. He held you tightly, unwilling to let you go. He didn’t experience what you experienced, he knew something had happened. He did not want to let you go through it alone.
“He drugged me with cold medicine. He trapped me in his house… he isn’t the same person I grew up with. He’s not my Caleb…” he stilled at that. His anger grew. You could feel a shift in Xavier’s demeanour, unlike with Caleb, you weren’t scared. You knew Xavier like the back of your hand, you had spent so much time with him. You know him now like you used to know Caleb. You held on tighter to Xavier, afraid that if you let him go, he would become a different person too. That you would loose him. Xavier’s hold tightened exponentially, and he was ready to go, to hurt Caleb. Put him back into the ground because, what he did to you, the pain he had caused you is not okay. None of it was okay. Anyone who caused you pain, regardless of it being your childhood best friend, did not deserve to be in your presence ever again, breathe the same air as you, be near you. Xavier would expect the same if he ever did that to you.
“He… did what?” He managed to ground out, through his clenched teeth, and his arms clutched you closer.
“He wanted to protect me, he said…” you sobbed out.
“Oh Starlight,” he tried to pull away a little but you wouldn’t let him. You didn’t want to see the pity on his face. “Hurting you like that isn’t protection.”
You nodded into his neck. He let go of you briefly a grabbed your legs to wrap them around his waist. He picked you and walked over to the couch. Beside the stuffies and all. Regardless of how he felt in the moment, the anger brewing under his skin making him feel like a restless animal, he knew you needed him more.
When he tried to pull away to see your face you let out another sob and clutched further. “Please don’t leave me Xavier.”
He huffed at that, and finally forced your face away from his neck. He placed his forehead against yours. Your bleary eyes stared back into his, deep sorrow and anger sketched into his features. There was no hint of pity. Your relief washed over you.
“I would never, in a million years leave you. You are the only one for me in the entire cosmos. I will always be by your side,” he cradled you close. “Can I kiss you?” He muttered so softly you almost missed it. You nodded.
He pressed his lips softly against yours. It was nice and peaceful, his touch was gentle. He pulled back, and pressed a kiss to your forehead. You sighed and leaned your head against his chest. He swayed you back and forth. When your breathing evened out, his suppressed anger came to the forefront. A man was about to die. Xavier was going to kill the man a second time, the man who dared to hurt you.
Hello, hi! Sorry for my bad english.
Can I request Jealous!MC where there’s a new colleague whom everyone respects (lets say shes only in Linkon for a week for a short mission) but MC sees how that colleague lowkey and subtly flirts with Xavier? (y’know how guys can be dense at times)
he sets boundaries though, it’s just “colleague” tries to push her luck— for the ending m not so sure, how about Xavier catches on and bluntly turns her down and makes it up for MC? :3
thank you!!!!!! you r very talented🫶🫶🫶
PAIRING: Xavier x mc!reader
SYNOPSIS: Watching your new coworker grow a little too familiar with your boyfriend sent a sharp, unwelcome heat curling in your chest—an emotion you’d never dare to name, let alone admit.
A/N: Thank you for the request. I twisted it a little, so hope you won't mind. I'm not really good at writing jealousy-related stuff, but I hope I'll get better with time!! Hope you enjoy!
Xavier - your sweet, devoted lover. A man of quiet strength and effortless charm, wrapped in an air of aloof detachment that only made people want to be closer to him.
Somehow, despite his reserved nature, he had a gravitational pull. Perhaps it was his unshaken confidence, the way he moved with the quiet assurance of a skilled hunter who had nothing to prove. Or maybe it was that face—carved with sharp angles and softened by golden strands that always seemed to fall just right. Whatever the reason, people wanted him close.
You never minded. In fact, you were proud. Admired, respected—a man like that was yours, after all. And Xavier was never one to indulge in unnecessary conversations or fleeting acquaintances. His world was small, intimate, built on a foundation of loyalty and shared trust. You had never been given a reason to worry.
Until now.
Standing next to Tara, your stomach twisted as your gaze locked onto the scene unfolding across the room.
A woman—tall, poised, exuding an effortless confidence—stood by Xavier’s desk, leaning in just enough to blur the lines between casual and intentional. She had the look of someone who had never been denied, her gaze slow and deliberate as it traced the sharp lines of his face before slipping lower, taking in every inch of him like he was something to be appraised.
Like he was something to be claimed.
Your jaw tightened.
She wasn’t subtle. Her eyes lingered, drinking him in like a fine wine, her expression betraying nothing but intrigue and unspoken intent. If you didn’t know any better, you would have mistaken her for a predator, circling its prey with the patience of something that had never known hunger.
“Who the hell is that?” Tara’s voice was low, hushed, but tinged with the same disbelief you felt.
You didn’t answer. You didn’t have to.
“She’s the hunter Jenna assigned for the new mission,” Simone’s voice cut in, her sudden presence making you jolt. “They say she’s one of the best in the field.”
Your lips parted slightly. “The captain of the aviation department?”
Simone nodded, watching your expression carefully.
She was young for such a high-ranking position, but that wasn’t what unsettled you. What unsettled you was the way she carried herself—like she already knew the outcome of a game you hadn’t even realized you were playing.
And the worst part? Xavier seemed oblivious.
His responses were polite, clipped, maintaining the professionalism expected of him when speaking to a superior. He didn’t return her lingering gaze, didn’t acknowledge the subtle shifts in her tone, the way her lips curved when he spoke.
And yet, it still made your blood simmer.
You hated it—the feeling curling in your chest, the way it coiled around your ribs like something dark and unspoken. You didn’t want to name it. Didn’t want to admit that, for the first time, you felt something dangerously close to threatened.
It wasn’t that you didn’t trust Xavier. Quite the opposite.
It was her.
"She’s supposed to be here for a week or so,” Simone added, eyeing you warily as if she had just glimpsed a side of you she wasn’t quite sure how to handle.
Tara shot her a nervous glance. You didn’t miss the way they exchanged looks, as if silently agreeing that this was unfamiliar territory—you were unfamiliar territory.
Finally, your feet moved before your mind had time to catch up.
You wove through the room with careful, measured steps, every movement precise, controlled. By the time you reached Xavier’s side, you had already tucked away the wildfire burning beneath your skin, smoothing out the edges of your expression into something unreadable.
Xavier turned at your approach, and in an instant, everything about him changed.
His guarded expression softened, his posture easing as that rare, genuine smile tugged at the corners of his lips. Warm. Familiar. Yours.
The woman noticed.
“Ah, Y/N.” Her voice was smooth, practiced. She straightened slightly, taking you in with an unreadable gaze. “I’ve heard about you.”
Your eyes met hers, searching, assessing.
“All good things, I hope?” Your words were polite, but there was something beneath them—something carefully measured, just shy of warning.
She didn’t answer. Not really. Instead, a slow smirk curled at her lips, her amusement flickering like the first embers of a fire.
She turned back to Xavier, dismissing you entirely.
“Well, Xavier,” she mused, her voice taking on a honeyed lilt, “I hope you’ll consider my proposition.”
And then she walked away, hips swaying just enough to make her intentions clear.
Your fingers curled at your sides.
“What was that about?” You turned to Xavier, making no effort to hide the edge in your voice.
He blinked, glancing between you and the retreating figure. “…She wanted to meet up to discuss something about the mission.”
Casual. Dismissive. Utterly oblivious.
Xavier reached for your hand, his thumb brushing over your skin in that familiar, grounding way. It was instinctive, absentminded, as if he had done it a thousand times before and would do it a thousand times again.
It was enough to ease some of the tension in your shoulders. Almost.
Because while you trusted Xavier implicitly, one thing was certain:
You were not about to let someone like her think she had a chance.
And with the welcome party set for later that week—a gathering meant to formally introduce the aviation captain to the association - it was the perfect moment to make sure she knows he's yours.
Yes. This was going to be fun.

Having heard about the party, you weren’t about to let the opportunity slip through your fingers. This was your chance to ensure the captain understood something crystal clear—Xavier was not, and never would be, one of her playthings.
With Tara and Simone’s help, you looked nothing short of lethal. Your makeup was flawless, enhancing every sharp edge and soft curve of your features, making you appear both untouchable and irresistibly tempting. Your hair was styled to perfection, cascading in a way that made you feel like a walking temptation, and your skin glowed with the scent of the perfume Xavier adored—the one that always seemed to awaken something predatory in him, darkening his gaze whenever you wore it.
And the pièce de résistance? A dress—the dress. Baby blue, the color of summer skies and lingering daydreams. It clung in all the right places, teasing with just enough skin to drive anyone who laid eyes on you to the brink of madness, yet leaving enough to the imagination to make them crave more. You knew the effect it had on Xavier. Knew the way his eyes darkened, how his hands twitched as if resisting the urge to pull you close and claim you on the spot.
And tonight, you planned on making sure everyone knew it too.
You had chosen to surprise him, arriving separately so he wouldn’t have a chance to drag you back to the safety of his arms before you had even stepped through the door.
The club was dimly lit, pulsing with the deep bass of music that thrummed beneath your skin. The scent of alcohol, expensive cologne, and faint traces of smoke clung to the air, mixing with the hum of conversation. Association members littered the room, some drinking, others caught in quiet discussions about missions and assignments.
And then you saw him.
Xavier was easy to spot—even in a crowded room, he stood out like something carved from myths, his golden hair catching the glow of the overhead lights. Dressed in his usual understated yet effortlessly attractive manner, he leaned against the bar, engaged in polite conversation.
But then his eyes found yours.
For a moment, he stilled.
And then—oh.
It was subtle at first. The slight parting of his lips, the way his grip on his drink tightened ever so slightly. His gaze dragged over you, slow and deliberate, before snapping back to your face, sharp and hungry. If he had been holding a conversation, you wouldn’t have known—it was as if the world had ceased to exist around him, leaving only you.
Your lips curled into a knowing smile as you strode toward him, reveling in the way his pupils dilated, his usual composure slipping for just a fraction of a second.
You were used to catching Xavier’s attention. But tonight? Tonight, he was absolutely enthralled.
And of course—your lovely new colleague took notice.
She had dressed for the occasion as well, a deep crimson gown hugging her form, exuding confidence. Perhaps she had the same plan you did—to steal Xavier’s attention, to lure him in with beauty and presence.
But she had made one miscalculation.
Xavier’s attention wasn’t hers to steal.
You reached him just as she did, her voice silky as she tilted her head, a charming smile gracing her lips. “Xavier, I must say, you clean up well.”
Xavier, who had just barely managed to tear his gaze from you, turned toward her with his usual polite indifference. “Thank you, Captain.”
She placed a hand on the bar beside him, inching just a little too close, feigning casual conversation. “You know, I never did get a proper answer about my earlier proposal. A meeting—just the two of us. I think we could make an excellent team.”
Your blood simmered. The sheer audacity.
But before you could even open your mouth, Xavier did something that made your heart skip a beat.
He stepped back. Just enough to create space, his movements smooth yet unmistakably intentional.
“I appreciate the offer,” he said, voice calm but firm, “but I’ll have to decline. I don’t mix work with anything that could be… misinterpreted.”
The captain faltered for a fraction of a second, clearly not expecting such a direct rejection.
Still, she recovered quickly, letting out a light laugh, as if amused rather than deterred. “Oh? And here I thought you’d at least consider it.”
Xavier’s gaze flickered toward you then—brief, knowing, filled with something warm and unshaken. And then, with the faintest hint of amusement lacing his voice, he spoke again.
“There’s nothing to consider.”
The words were final. A dismissal. A line drawn in stone.
The captain seemed to realize that any further attempts would be futile. With one last lingering glance, she lifted her drink to her lips, her expression unreadable, before turning away and disappearing into the crowd.
You exhaled, finally allowing yourself to breathe.
And then—Xavier’s hand was on your waist, his grip firm as he pulled you flush against him.
“Enjoying yourself?” His voice was low, edged with something darker, something teasing.
You tilted your head up at him, pretending to consider. “Hmm. Maybe. Though, I was a little concerned for a second there.”
Xavier’s lips twitched, his free hand tracing idle circles against your lower back. “Oh?”
You smirked, eyes gleaming with something playful. “I mean, she’s confident, gorgeous, highly respected—”
Xavier cut you off with a quiet scoff, his thumb brushing over the exposed skin of your waist. “So are you.”
Your laughter was soft, but before you could say anything more, he leaned down, his lips ghosting just below your ear.
“I only see you,” he murmured. “I only want you.”
A slow shiver ran down your spine.
You turned to face him fully then, hands resting against his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat beneath your fingers. “Good.”
He smirked. “Good?”
You leaned in, your lips just barely brushing his before whispering, “Because you’re mine.”
Xavier’s breath hitched—just barely, just enough for you to catch it—before he let out a quiet chuckle, pressing his forehead against yours.
“Yeah,” he murmured. “I am.”
And with that, he kissed you—slow and deep, in a way that left no room for doubt.
A statement. A promise.
And a reminder to anyone who had dared to think otherwise.
ೃ⁀➷ FLUSTERING HIM — zayne, xavier, rafayel x gn!reader
it tends to be difficult to flustered the impenetrable dr. zayne. the crispy sizzle of bacon hits hot iron and the thick scent of popping fat flies into the air. you eye the tall doctor from your spot at the counter. a apron uncharacteristic of him is tied nicely around his waist. he cracks an egg with his empty hand, plopping the slimy yolk into a bowl only to whisk it into a frothy yellow mixture.
mornings with zayne have always been comforting. you watch him carefully, scurrying over to watch his cooking skills from behind. "do you want me to teach you?" he glances briefly down at you, a touch of affection in his green eyes. "no, i just wanna watch for now." he raises an eyebrow but says nothing.
a sleepy affection fills your heart and your arms slide around his waist from behind. pressing your face against his back, you take a chance to inhale the refreshing scent of his shampoo. zayne stiffens, taking a moment to pause his cooking as he feels your hands glide across his waist. heat floods into his cheeks and the tips of his ears.
"why'd you stop?" you murmur into the fabric of your shirt. "i couldn't remember what else i needed," he says, his calm tone wavering just for a second. his adam's apple bobs as he tries to ignore the way your touch elicits tingles up his spine.
xavier’s arm reaches over, pulling you closer as streaks of colorful light flash across the tv screen. you find your eyes growing heavy as you lean into his chest. the soft rising and falling from his breathing rocks you gently. you couldn’t remember by now who had suggested a movie, but neither of you seemed to mind much.
you don’t think it capable of flustering someone as calm and lackadaisical as xavier. but his own emotions are seen when the lights of the movie begins to fade and he strokes your arm with languid fingers.
you lean closer, intaking his scent as your eyes flutter close. sleep descends on you as the credits begin to roll. xavier skims over the varying list of names before turning to you. he nudges you gently, unsure if you’re awake or not. he calls your name but garners no response.
instead, you bury yourself deeper into his embrace, murmuring his name through parted lips. he pauses, staring you with a soft amazement and adoration. a tinge of pink colors his cheeks as he glances away from your endearing position. he wants to ask you not to catch him off guard like that, but lets out a sigh, covering his warming expression with the back of his hand.
it’s easy as breathing oxygen to fluster the stubborn rafayel. you snack on the stick-shaped chocolate biscuits, watching as he rambles on about one of his latest clients. you wonder if there was an easier way to get him to stop talking at the speed of light.
a final bite of your pocky sparks an idea and it seems rafayel has recognized it as well. he juts out his lower lip, pouting as he realizes you’ve dropped paying attention to his very important words. “are you listening?” he chirps, “this is very important, you know?”
you nod your head vaguely before placing the pocky stick against his lips. “first one to pull away loses.” you grin and you can already see the tips of his ears turning a lovely shade of red. he stares at you before delicately biting down on the biscuit. “fine, but i won’t lose,” he mumbles.
you already know you have this in the bag the moment you bite down, inching closer to rafayel little by little. your eyes lock with his for a moment before a mischievous gleam strikes in your eyes and you’re tilting your head to the side as if ready to kiss him. immediately as his lips brush against yours, he bites down and pulls away. his eyes dart away as he tries to cover up his neck and face turning into a burning cherry. he mumbles something about letting you win.
This is a gift of pure fluff for @whateversawesome, inspired by her wonderful Twiyor fanfics.
Thank you for being a good friend and beta to me for a whole long year, my pal 🤗 I hope our friendship will continue for as long as possible in the future too.

You place the plates on the table as Xavier settles into the chair beside you. You had cooked pancakes with bacon and eggs—definitely not your usual dinner choice. The savory scent of sizzling bacon mixed with maple syrup still clings to the air. It’s oddly comforting, but also… well, odd. It was already dinner time.
Xavier glances at the spread, then up at you. One brow arches, his golden eyes narrowing with amused suspicion. “Breakfast?” he says, tone smooth and relaxed, like velvet draped over mischief. There’s no judgment there, just that usual playful cadence in his voice that makes your stomach flutter—more than it probably should.
You shrug, sliding into the seat across from him. “Yeah. I was craving it.”
“Craving,” he echoes, slowly, drawing the word out like he’s tasting it. His fork hovers over the pancakes for a moment before he stabs into them. “That’s a new one.”
You tilt your head. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
He takes a bite, chews thoughtfully, and swallows. “Just that you usually go for something more… balanced. You’ve never made breakfast food for dinner before. This is a bold choice.” He gestures to the pancakes dramatically, like he’s hosting a cooking show. “An unprecedented one.”
“Maybe I just wanted comfort food,” you say, folding your arms and trying not to smile.
“Or…” He trails off, leaning back in his chair, fork spinning between his fingers. That sly smirk starts forming—the one you know all too well. “You’re being weird lately.”
Your brow lifts. “Weird?”
“Yeah. You’ve been… emotional. Sleeping a lot. Getting all huffy at me over nothing—don’t think I didn’t notice you almost cry when we ran out of strawberry jam.”
Your face warms. “That was a traumatic moment, thank you.”
He chuckles, low and warm. “And now pancakes for dinner? Something’s up.”
You narrow your eyes. “Maybe I just missed you.”
That seems to catch him off guard. He falters for half a second, eyes softening, that teasing edge dipping into something gentler. “I missed you too,” he says, sincere and quiet.
And just like that, your heart stumbles.
But then—he’s grinning again. “Still… this isn’t just missing me. You’re like… glitching.”
You scoff. “Oh, shut up.”
“I mean, first the jam, now the pancakes? You’ve been acting like a walking mood swing.” He props his chin on his hand, elbow on the table, golden eyes gleaming with mischief. “What’s next, singing to the plants? Crying over a commercial again?”
“It was a dog reunion ad, Xavier. You cried too.”
“That’s beside the point.”
You take a deep breath and lean back in your seat. “You’re enjoying this too much.”
“Oh, absolutely.” He doesn’t even try to deny it. “Because now I get to ask the big question.”
You pause, fork halfway to your mouth. “What?”
He leans in slightly, lowering his voice, but still laced with that teasing edge. “Are you… pregnant?”
You nearly choke. “Excuse me?”
“I mean, it would explain the weird cravings, the naps, the moodiness.” He waves his fork like he’s presenting evidence. “You’ve been late too, right?”
Your cheeks flush instantly. “You are not seriously—”
“I’m just saying.” He takes another bite, talking through the mouthful. “Maybe there’s a little me in there already.”
You drop your fork. “Xavier.”
“What?” He’s laughing now, head tilted back just slightly, the kind of laugh that feels like a warm breeze—easy, light, completely him. “You’ve been looking at baby clothes on your phone too.”
“That was one time and it was an ad!”
“Sure it was.”
You throw a napkin at him. He catches it mid-air with a casual flick of his hand and smirks. “Reflexes of a starship pilot.”
“You’re impossible.”
He leans forward again, eyes crinkling at the corners with the fondness he always tries (and fails) to hide. “You know, if you were pregnant,” he says softly, “I’d take it in stride.”
You blink. “You… would?”
His voice turns warm, serious for a beat. “I’d be terrified. But I’d also be all in. No running. No hesitation. Just me… and you… figuring it out.”
Your chest tightens in the best way. You hadn’t really thought about that. At least, not seriously. But now, hearing him say it, tease it—mean it—it sends a pulse of warmth through you that pancakes alone couldn’t have managed.
Still, you roll your eyes. “Well, I’m probably not. I’m just… late.”
“Mmhm.” He hums, biting into a strip of bacon. “For now.”
You point a finger at him. “Don’t start nesting. We’re not naming anything.”
He grins devilishly. “Too late. I’ve already got five options for a girl and seven for a boy.”
You groan dramatically and cover your face. “I’m never making breakfast again.”
“You say that now,” he murmurs, sliding his chair closer so he can wrap an arm around your shoulder. He kisses your temple, a whisper of warmth against your skin. “But wait till the cravings hit again tomorrow.”
“You’re never letting me live this down, are you?”
“Not a chance.”
The teasing continues until the plates are cleared and the night grows soft around you. And even though you’re sure you’re not pregnant, the way he looks at you… the way he smiles like he already sees a future unfolding with you in it—maybe, just maybe—you let yourself imagine it too. Just a little. Just enough.

"Hey, I can't sleep..."
Xavier mumbles something in reply, totally incoherent to you. He reaches for the lamp on the nightstand next to his side of the bed, and a warm glow fills the room. He yawns, and he sits up in bed, leaning against the headboard, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.
"Okay, come here, then."
He pats his lap twice. You stare at him, and then at where he was patting.
"You want me to sit on you?"
He raises an eyebrow. "No. Come put your head here."
You oblige and lie down with your head in his lap. He reaches for something else on the nightstand - it's a book. He flips open to a page and clears his throat.
"Once upon a time–"
You can't help but laugh out loud, and you end up shaking the whole bed. Xavier clicks his tongue and shushes you.
"I'm trying to read you a bedtime story, if you don't mind."
"Okay, okay," you concede. "I'll be quiet. So quiet."
Xavier continues, putting on a storyteller voice. "There was a young girl whose mother had sadly died, and she lived with her father whom she loved dearly..."
He continues with the story of Cinderella, and you're enthralled by all the voices he puts on for the different characters. They sound ridiculous and ill-fitting, but you're entertained nonetheless. All the while, one of his hands is in your hair, gently brushing his fingers through it. The other holds the book, and in the moments where he takes the hand in your hair to flip a page, you instantly miss it - you would be happy for him to read a page over and over again if it meant keeping his hand right where it is. There are a couple of times where he yawns, and it's contagious - you yawn along with him.
"... and they all lived happily ever after. The end."
Xavier closes the book, but you turn over in his lap to look up at him. You push your bottom lip out in what you hope is a cute pout. "Can you read me another one, please?"
He rolls his eyes, but obliges, and opens the book again. He flips around for a little bit before clearing his throat again. "This is the story of Sleeping Beauty..."
You're not sure when it is that you doze off, but the next time you wake, sunlight is streaming through the gaps in the curtains. Your head is still in Xavier's lap, his hand still resting in your hair. The book he was holding is next to him on the bed, opened to a random page, and you can hear him snoring lightly. You turn, just a little bit, to take a look at him. His eyelids are twitching just so slightly, his mouth moving as if in conversation with someone in a dream. You feel a warmth spread across your chest, your heart beating just a little faster. Sleeping Beauty indeed.
