Protection Incantations

I’ve been thinking about incantations for a while now, so here are a few I came up with this evening.

To be used when scared while walking

May the light of the sun/moon shine bright

And illuminate my path tonight.

Keep those who will do me harm

Far away, I cast this charm.

Protection from an energy vampire

Those who take advantage of me

Shall be met by the rule of three

My energy is mine to share

Only with the ones about whom I care

Protection from dark thoughts

Things inside my head are rough

I must say that’s quite enough.

Give my aching head a break

Grant me clear thoughts for my sake.

When my life is looking glum

To no dark thoughts shall I succumb.

I’m not the girl you’ll be waiting down the aisle for

Or the one you’ll spend every Christmas morning with

I’m made up of bad habits and unanswered texts

I’ll disappear for days on end

Then show up up at your doorstep as if nothing had happened

And when you leave

Because doesn’t everyone leave eventually?
