So instead he just slowly learns what each gesture means so he can take non verbal commands to the point that sometimes Robotnik doesn't even realise Stone did something and not a Badnik. The doctor chewing Stone out for being unhelpful all day but then he checks the CCTV and it turns out all the times he remembers a Badnik helping it was actually Stone following Badnik commands. And ofc Robotnik calls Stone baby by accident while he's working.
