One cannot find the words to describe what it feels like watching the life drain out of someone’s body. All of the sudden, their eyes will lose focus and fall completely blank. The jagged movement of their chest will stop entirely, meaning that they no longer found it hard to breathe. What’s left is a limp, dead weight body. And that's it.
It was the most heart-wrenching thing Y/n ever had to experience in her life. She just watched her best friend die in her arms. She couldn’t hold back the tears from falling down her face. She was devastated.
Right before he had passed, Eddie spoke about how he didn’t run away this time and he sounded so proud of himself. He convinced himself that this was gonna be his year. The last thing he did was send her a weak smile and tell her how much he loved her.
For a brief second, Eddie struggled to catch his breath. His eyes became unfocused as his breathing came to a final halt. His body went limp, which made all his tense muscles relax. His soul was taken to the heavens in that exact moment. He was gone.
“Oh god,” Y/n silently sobbed to herself.
She clutched his lifeless body in her arms, holding him as close as humanly possible. She rocked back and forth in attempts to soothe herself from the pain of loss. She closed her eyes to say a little silent prayer.
“Please, God. Let me take his place,” Y/n begged. But she knew it would be no good and she knew her prayer would go unanswered.
There was something bright that caught her eye in her peripheral vision. When Y/N turned her head to look towards the unknown source of light, she was to squint because she was so blinded by the light. She didn’t even notice that it had grown closer until it had completely overtaken her body. Then there was nothing.
When Y/N was finally able to open her eyes, she found that she was standing in the middle of the trailer in the upside down. She was holding onto the trash can shield and the makeshift spear that they had crafted a couple hours earlier. She was quick to realize that she faced the closed bedroom door.
The demobats were ruthlessly pounding against the solid wood door. They scratched violently in hopes of breaking through the barrier. Their screeching became more desperate and more hostile.
“Come on, Y/n!” Dustin called out. “Come through now!”
Upon hearing her name, Y/n spun around on the heels of her feet. She lifted her head so her gaze could follow the sheet rope through the portal on the trailer ceiling. Now she clearly saw that Dustin and Eddie had already gone through the portal.
The two of them were watching her through the portal in the ceiling of their world. They begged her to climb up the rope to them. They called her name multiple times as if they were desperately trying to get her attention.
In that moment, Y/n discarded he makeshift spear and trash can lid off to the side. She went to grab onto the rope with the full intention of climbing it. But the sounds of clawing, scratching, and shrieking drew her attention back towards the bedroom door.
“Y/n!” Dustin called out. “Come on. Let’s go!”
“You’re so close! You just need to climb,” Eddie yelled over him.
So Y/n gripped the rope of sheet tightly and began pulling herself up. She struggled to climb at first. When Y/n glanced towards the bedroom door through the corner of her eye, a haunting thought came into her mind. It made her fall back onto the floor and she loosened her grip on the rope.
Those demobats would eventually break through that wood door; it wouldn’t hold them off forever. If they broke through the door, what was to stop them from going through the portal into their world? They were going to have to stop them somehow. And right then, Y/n could only think of one thing that would work.
“I have to draw them away,” Y/n said more to herself than anything.
“What?! No!” Eddie shouted at her.
Upon hearing his voice, Y/n had lifted her head and stared up past them longingly. It was almost as if she had this all-knowing look in her eyes that told them exactly what she was going to do. And neither of them liked her plan.
“Those things will kill you,” Dustin tried to reason with her. “You can’t do this!”
“I have to try!” Y/n responded in a persistent tone of voice.
“Not if I have something to say about it,” Eddie said through gritted teeth.
Out of pure instinct, Eddie grabbed hold of the rope and began climbing to get back through the portal. However, Y/n was quick to pick up the makeshift spear once again. She sliced the rope with the spear so that the rope fell to the ground in both worlds.
So Eddie’s feet landed flatly on the ground of his trailer. He held the limp rope in his hands. His mouth was hanging open in a manner of utter shock and disbelief. No, this can’t be happening.
“What the hell are you doing?” Dustin yelled desperately.
“Don’t come after me,” Y/n ordered them.
“Y/n! Stop! Don’t do this!” Eddie exclaimed.
“Stop! Stop! Stop! Stop!” Dustin repeated over and over again.
“Come back!” Eddie begged.
But she chose to drown out their calls and pleads. She slipped out of their line of sight, heading towards the front door of the trailer. She proceeded to kick the door open before using every ounce of energy to run as fast as she could. She grabbed hold of one of the bikes laying in the heap of dirt, clambering onto the seat and riding as far away from the trailer as possible.
The demobats began to follow her in a thick cloud of black fury. They were screeching in anger. But they were drawing away from the trailer, which was exactly what she wanted. It was all going according to plan.
All she needed to do was keep pedaling. She wouldn’t dare look over her shoulder in fear that she would be right on top of her. The thundering sound of her heart was beating against the confines of her chest, threatening to break through at any given second. She had to keep moving.
Together, Dustin and Eddie lifted the mattress on the ground. They tossed the mattress off to the sidelines. They had to figure out a way to get back through that portal, but without the rope, it wasn’t going to be easy.
Setting up a random chair under the portal, Eddie took a few steps back in order to get a running start. He counted to three in his head before sprinting towards the chair. He leaped onto the base and launched himself upwards as far and as high as he could. He caught hold of the end of the portal which allowed for his head to go through and his hair fell upside down.
With some difficulty, Eddie managed to pull himself through the portal. He landed on the heap of the mattress. He got out of the way quickly. Then Eddie encouraged Dustin to do the exact same thing he did.
Meanwhile, Y/n could feel the beads of sweat running down the sides of her face. She seemed to ignore the burning feeling in her legs from pedaling so hard. It felt like time was starting to slow down and everything moved in slow motion.
For a brief second, the upside down fell silent. She could still feel the rumble in her chest when the thunder sounded from the black and red skies. She closed her eyes to relish the small moment of tranquility. She knew this was going to be the end for her.
All of the sudden, a demobat collided into her side which threw her to the side. They began to swarm around her, circling in the most taunting manner. It was just like seeing hawks swarming before devouring their fallen prey on the ground.
Without a second to lose, Y/N had to force herself to stand to her feet. She began to run away once again, but she knew she wouldn’t get far on foot. She was going to have to hold them off for now. So she stopped running.
Slowly, Y/n turned around in her place. She faced the heavy storm of demobats. She pulled out her makeshift spear and nail pierced shield, moving into a more defensive stance. This would be her last stand.
“Hurry!” Eddie called over his shoulder.
He didn’t even look over his shoulder to check if his friend was following close behind him. He didn’t seem to care about the burning feeling in his lungs, which were desperately trying to help him breathe. He was forcing himself to run faster; he had never run so fast in his life. He only had one thing in mind: he needed to get to her.
It had taken them a couple minutes before they finally reached her, but it was much too late. What they found was such a gruesome and grotesque sight. The demobats had all fallen to the ground. Some of them were brutally stabbed, laying motionless in their own cold blood. Others looked like they were untouched.
What had happened was hard to explain. It was like a light switch. As soon as that switch was flicked down, the demobats naturally fell out of the sky. They were dead with no explanation as to how or why.
It was quite sad to think that the switch could have been flicked sooner. If it had been, Y/n might still have had a chance at survival. So there, on the dirty ground, surrounded by heaps of dead demobats, was the young teenage girl.
The two boys only stood there looking at the horrific scene in front of them. Thinking that there might still be a chance to save her, Eddie hurried to the seemingly lifeless body on the ground. He scooped her into his arms and started checking for any signs of life.
As soon as Eddie caught sight of her wounds, he let out a shocking ‘oh’ sound. He squeezed his eyes shut tight in hopes of forgetting the horror he just saw. Bringing the back of his hand to cover his mouth, Eddie felt the swell of bile coming up his throat and he had to swallow it down. It was an honestly sickening sight.
From the looks of it, the demobats had definitely attacked her. They must have keep her down for much longer than what Steve had experienced just a day or two ago. Her wounds were far worse than his had been.
The demobats had latched onto her sides, ripping large chunks of her skin out. Her once soft and smooth skin was now littered with numerous scrapes and scratches from the demobats sharp claws.
Hesitantly, Eddie went to touch her face. He tried to be as gentle as possible, hoping to coax her awake. He also took notice of the large gaping wound around her neck, which was bleeding profusely now. A part of him knew that she wasn’t going to make it even if they could carry her back to the trailer. But he simply refused to accept that reality right now.
“Hey Y/n,” Eddie whispered in a soothing tone of voice. “It’s okay. You’re safe now. I’ve got you,” Eddie tried to reassure her.
Much to his surprise, Y/n’s eyes began to flutter open at the sound of his voice. She found it quite hard to breathe. With each breath, there was a stabbing pain piercing her chest. She wheezed in hopes of taking in small doses of air.
“E-Eddie?” Her throat burned and her voice was weak. She didn’t know that the demobats had torn through some of her vocal cords, which would explain why it hurt so much to talk.
“Yeah. I’m right here, honey.” Eddie spoke softly. He tried to shuffle closer to her since her voice was so faint. He watched her face twist in pain which ultimately made his heart ache for her.
“I-It hurts,” Y/n wheezed and winced at the sharp burning feeling.
“I—I know, honey. I know it hurts,” Eddie nodded his head. “I’m gonna get you out of here though.”
“I— can’t move, Eddie. I can’t f—feel anything,” Y/n claimed. She paused for a second, realization striking her hard. “I’m not going to make it, am I?”
“D—Don’t say that,” Eddie said through gritted teeth. He brought his clenched fist to the front of his head. “You’re going to make it,” Eddie lied to himself.
On the sidelines, Dustin stood there with tears in the corners of his eyes. He lowered his head and squeezed his eyes shut. He honestly didn’t know what to do. He could feel the deep pain in his chest; it was the feeling of hopelessness. There wouldn’t be enough time for her.
For a second, Y/n began to grow more tense. Her muscles clenched as she was overcome with a fit of coughs. The taste of copper lingered on her tongue. She didn’t know that her mouth was leaking with blood and that it was now running down her chin.
Out of pure concern, Eddie called her name in a desperate tone of voice. He helplessly held her in his grasp. He watched her writhe in pain. He couldn’t bare to see her like this. He squeezed his eyes shut and attempted to block out the pained coughing sounds.
When Y/n’s coughs subsided, she was able to relax once again. Her chest was rising and falling steadily with each breath she took. But it was getting harder for her now. She could faintly see a hue of black in the corners of her vision.
She tried to hold off fading into the darkness, trying with every ounce in her body to fight off death. She only had a couple more minutes though. It felt like ages before she finally spoke again.
“It was real, wasn’t it? You felt it, right?” She wondered. She furrowed her eyebrows slightly. She looked up at him with a hint of curiosity in her eyes. “You and me,” she clarified.
“What we had? Yeah, that was real,” Eddie confirmed while nodding his head.
“It felt like such a long time ago,” Y/n sighed as she remembered the good old days with him. She felt the smile growing at the corners of her lips. “We were just a couple of kids running around, having fun together.”
Upon hearing this, Eddie let out a soft chuckle. He smiled down at her. He went to brush a small strand of hair out of her face. He gazed down at her with the strongest sense of admiration and sincerity in his soft brown eyes.
“But we really loved each other, didn’t we?” Y/n whispered to him.
“Yes. We did,” Eddie confirmed.
“Promise me—” Y/n began. She leaned forward so he could hear her message better from the proximity. “That you’ll keep on living.”
“Oh honey,” Eddie choked back a sob. He shook his head at her request. “I don’t want to live in this world without you. I just can’t do it. You mean everything to me. You are my world.”
Though she was most flattered, she tilted her head to the side and looked at him with a glimmer of disbelief. She knew that he could do it; everyone has to do it at some point in their lives. They eventually have to move on. People come and go. Nothing is permanent. Nothing is certain. Nothing is known.
“What am I going to do without you?” Eddie began to cry. His tears were streaming down his cheeks mercilessly. His shoulders bounced in time with his cries of desperation. “What am I going to do without you?” Eddie repeated for he seriously wanted an answer.
Slowly, Eddie lowered his head until he hurried his face in her chest. He clutched her shirt so tightly that her blood seeped through the cracks between his fingers. He clung to her in fear that she would slip out of his grasp.
Hearing him cry hurt more than she wounds that covered her body. It made her heart ache for him. She regrettably didn’t have an answer to his question. She couldn’t think of anything to encourage him or give him a piece of advice. Instead, she chose to simply hold him and hoped that would be enough comfort for him. She ran her fingers through his soft black curls.
“You’re going to be okay,” Y/n whispered.
Hesitantly, Eddie raised his head to look into her eyes one last time. He swallowed the heavy lump that lingered at the back of his throat. His tears blurred his vision slightly. He sniffled.
“Eddie,” Y/n choked painfully.
Instantly, Eddie went to hold her hand. This was him silently communicating that he was there for her and that he could hear her clearly. He felt her squeeze his hand. He waited patiently for her to speak up again.
“I love y—” but her voice faded into nothing.
Her eyes lost focus and went blank. Her grip was limp. Her last breath seeped out of her chapped lips. And she was gone.
Upon seeing her body fall to the clutches of death, Eddie could feel his heart dropping from his chest to the pit of his stomach. He scurried backwards as if he were desperately trying to get away from her. He was horrified.
“E—Eddie?” Dustin spoke weakly. He stumbled backwards slightly in disbelief. “Is she—” Dustin couldn’t bring himself to say it.
All of the sudden, Eddie scrambled back to her side. He didn’t want to believe it. He denied it in his mind. He took up her body in his arms once again. He desperately searched her body for any signs of life.
Come on, baby.
He pressed his two fingers to the underside of her neck, feeling for a pulse. But he didn’t feel anything. Then Eddie laid his head down so that his ear was pressed against her chest. He listened for a heartbeat, but he didn’t hear anything. He waited to watch her chest rise and fall in short breaths. But he didn’t see anything.
Come on, darling.
For a brief moment, Eddie didn’t know what to do next. He tried to think of other ways to get her to wake up again. He wanted her to look at him again, but her eyes refused to focus on him. He so desperately wished that he could switch places with her. He wished that he could have been the one to die, not her.
Let me steal this moment from you now.
From the pain in his heart, Eddie grabbed onto her shoulders harshly. He shook her in attempts to bring her back. But her body wouldn’t respond to him. He proceeded to place his hands on her chest, pumping at a steady pace. He tried giving her CPR since he knew how to preform it.
Come on, angel. Come on, come on, darling.
However, all the came from it was more blood. It came out of her mouth. It gushed from the wounds in her sides. It began to cover his hands. Nevertheless, Eddie was pressing harder and harder with each thrust of his hands. He was trying so desperately to start her heart again.
Finally, Eddie stopped himself. He raised his hands to his face and looked down in horror. It almost looked like he had just committed a murder for real this time. He came to the realization that he wouldn’t be able to do anything to help her anymore. She was gone. She was dead.
Let's exchange the experience.
In the most gentle manner, Eddie brought her back into his grasp. He held her against his chest and buried her face in his neck. He cradled the back of her head, rocking back and forth to soothe himself. With tears falling from his eyes, Eddie sobbed quietly at the painful feeling of loss. It stabbed at his heart and only left a gaping hole that would never be filled again.
Oh, the things he wish he had said to her. The things he wished he had done sooner. The thought of ‘what could have happened’ racked his brain every day after that. How he wanted so badly to have been the one to die instead of her.
There was a small gravestone for her. Eddie picked flowers for her every week and brought them to her grave. Most of the time, they were just wild flowers. But on special occasions, like her birthday or a holiday, Eddie would bring roses from the supermarket. Those were always her favorite.
He’d never get over the feeling of losing her. He’d never forgive himself for not being there to save her. There wasn’t a day that went by where he didn’t think of her at least once. He had nightmares about the way she died in his mind, hearing the horrors of her screams and cries as the demobats feasted on her flesh. It was torture to him.
He wrote letters to her to express his thoughts and feelings, even writing a few songs about how much he loved her. He found comfort by just sitting in front of her grave.
One night, Eddie was seated at the foot of her grave. He lifted his head to admire the night sky. There was one particular star that caught his eye because it was much bigger and brighter than all the other stars in the sky. It sparkled down at him.
For the first time in months, Eddie smiled to himself. He directed his line of attention back to the grave in front of him. For he knew that she was that bright, shiny star in the sky, looking down at him and always watching out for him. And whenever he felt sad or lonely, he could just look up to the starry sky and she’d be there for him.
He wasn’t alone. After that, Eddie chose to only remember the positive aspects and parts of the life he shared with his best friend. He remembered how beautiful her smile was, how happy she was on Saturday mornings, and how kind she was to everyone around her.
He remembered the soft and sweet sound of her voice; he loved the way his name rolled off her tongue. In dark times and low moments of life, Eddie would remind himself of how she called his name. It brought such comfort and relief to him. It was almost healing.
Undoubtedly, Eddie knew just how much she had loved him. It was the last thing she tried to tell him before she died. He held onto that thought and he would continue to hold onto that until the end of his time. She had loved him so dearly and he cherished that more than anything in the world.
She had loved him, but he loved her more than she could ever have imagined.
New Eddie x Fem!Reader dropping tomorrow morning called “A Deal With God.” Prepare to cry your eyes out 😭
Hey, friend. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed your Eddie works. Hope you Lee finding inspiration to write! Besos 🤘🏼💋
Thank you so very much! That’s so sweet of you! I am currently working on another Eddie fic. Might post that tomorrow or the following day!
Summary: To escape the likes of Jason Carver, the reader has to play a little game of pretend with Eddie Munson himself.
Pairing: Eddie Munson x Fem!Reader
Warning: sexual tension, swearing, some kissing, fake relationship
Type: Oneshot
Word Count: 4,647 words
It had been one hell of a day and it was only lunchtime. During first period, Jason Carver had gone to extreme lengths to pass a note across the room to Y/n L/n. It read something along the lines of ‘meet me by the lockers after class.”
In response to reading the note, Y/n turned her head to look over her shoulder. She immediately spotted were the basketball jock was seated near the back of the class. He sent her a sly smile and a wink.
Turning back in her seat, Y/n groaned to herself in slight disgust. She crumpled up the piece of paper and discarded it to the side. He had been trying to shoot his shot since the start of senior year, but he couldn’t take the hint that she wasn’t interested.
During the short time between periods, Y/n was collecting her textbooks from her locker. She closed her locker door, jumping slightly upon seeing Jason standing on the other side.
He was trying to be cool. So Jason was leaning against the lockers with his arms crossed over his chest. He opened his mouth to say something, but she quickly cut him off.
“I don’t have time to talk. I’ve got class,” Y/n claimed. The bell rang to back up her excuse. She quickly scurried away from him, blending into the massive crowd of students in the hallway.
By the time lunch rolled around, Y/n was running through the hallways of the school. She was occasionally look over her shoulder to see if anyone was following her. She hurried past students in her path, apologizing to them as she ran into the lunchroom.
Desperately, Y/n’s eyes scanned the large crowd of students sitting at different tables in the cafeteria. Her eyes finally settled on one particular table on the far side of the room.
“Munson!” Y/n called out. She had cupped her hands around her mouth so it could be heard over the crowd.
While few people would have actually heard her over the commotion, Eddie surprisingly raised his head to look over the crowd. He heard his name once again. Finally, Eddie’s gaze landed on a familiar face.
“What?” Eddie mouthed from across the room.
Not wanting to draw any more attention to herself, Y/n decided that she shouldn’t yell across the room again. She glanced over her shoulder one more time. She then quickly made her way through the crowd of students in the cafeteria.
The Hellfire Club was confused by her mannerism. They all seemed to follow her figure as she made her way across the room. They ate their lunch slowly.
As Y/n approached the side of their table, Eddie scooted back in his chair to face her more. He held his hands up in defeat as if he was already trying to say he didn’t do anything.
Much to his surprise, Y/n waltzed right up to him. She placed her hand on his left shoulder and pushed him backwards so he was leaning against the back of his chair.
“Play along, Munson.” She demanded.
Without warning, Y/n lowered herself into his thigh and swung her legs to drape across his lap. She wrapped her one arm around the back of his neck. And the other hand came to rest on his chest.
“Wha—” Eddie was at a loss for words.
His hands were still held up in a defensive manner as if he was too afraid to lay his hands on her, which he absolutely was.
Now Y/n took her time to scan the room. She looked for the young boy that had been following her all day long. She knew he would show up at some point.
Finally, as if on cue, Jason Carver hurried into the entrance of the cafeteria. He took note of his surroundings, searching for one person in particular. By the look of it, it seemed like he hadn’t spotted her just yet. Perfect.
“As much as I love having you in my lap,” Eddie’s voice drew her back to reality momentarily. “What are we doing?” Eddie questioned.
At the given moment, Eddie tried to study her face and find out what this was all about. He followed her line of gaze in attempts to see who she was looking for.
Suddenly, Eddie felt her grasp his chin. She turned his head so that he was looking directly at her. She had this dark serious look in her eyes.
“Eyes on me,” Y/n whispered to him sternly.
“Yes ma’am,” Eddie nodded his head.
“Do you trust me?” Y/n questioned.
Normally, Eddie would come up with some snarky remark in retaliation just to mess with her. However, Eddie saw that she was no in a playing mood. She maintained this serious look. Her eyebrows rose as she waited for his answer.
“Y-Yeah. Of course I do,” Eddie said with a small nod of the head.
“Good,” Y/n said finally.
Out of nowhere, Y/n went to grab the lapels of his black leather jacket. She pulled him forward until his lips connected with hers.
For a brief second, Eddie’s eyes were wide open in total shock. He didn’t really know what to do or even what to think. He flailed his arms slightly at his sides as if he didn’t really know what to do with them.
With some hesitation, Eddie let himself go. His eyes fluttered shut. His body eventually began to relax in pure and total bliss. He grew more accustomed to the feeling of her soft lips against his own. He began to kiss her back.
“Did that just happened?” Dustin asked out loud. He looked at Mike who was sitting right next to him just to make sure he was seeing the same thing as him.
In response, Eddie kicked Dustin’s leg underneath the table as if to shut him up. He naturally cursed at the pain that shot through his leg. His face scrunched up while he rubbed his leg to comfort himself.
The two of them ended up losing themselves in the kiss. They didn’t seem to pay any attention to their surroundings, forgetting that they were kissing in a room full of other students. They were totally lost in each other.
Her hands snaked up the length of his chest to link around his neck. She played with his soft curls. She was able to smell the spicy from his cologne or body spray; she wasn’t sure what he used but it smelled nice.
At this point, Eddie was basically melting into her. He had never tasted something so sweet; it must have been her lipgloss. He laid his hands to rest on her hip and her thigh. His thumb rubbed small circles on her inner thigh. He tried to pull her as close as humanly possible, shifting her body more into his lap.
Just when things were starting to progress a little, by means of Eddie slipping his hand under her sweater to caress her soft skin, the sound of someone clearing their throat had filled their ears. The two of them pulled away from each other to direct their attention towards the sound.
Much to the surprise of almost everyone, Jason Carver stood on the far end of their table. His hands were placed in his hips which made him look like a father who was able to scold his rebellious teenage daughter. His face was beet red and his jaw was clenched tight.
“Oh! Jason!” Y/n was the first to speak up. “I didn’t see you there,” Y/n lied.
Looking between the two of them, Eddie secretly wondered if she had been trying to get away from the head of the basketball team. He had known for some time that the guy had been trying to ask her out for some time. It wouldn’t have surprised him if she was just trying to get away from him.
“Y/n,” Jason spoke sternly. “What are you doing with these…freaks?” He emphasized.
She ignored his question by rolling her eyes at him. She redirected the conversation by asking him a question.
“Can I help you with something, Carver?” Y/n wondered. She tilted her head to the side as if she was waiting for him to answer.
“Listen…” Jason began. When he turned his head, he realized that almost everyone in the cafeteria was looking their way. “I think I’ve made my intentions very clear,” Jason claimed.
“Is that so?” Y/n tried to egg him on.
“Yes! I’ve been asking you out since the beginning of the semester, but you keep playing hard to get.” Jason complained.
“Did you ever stop to realize that I might not be interested in you?” Y/n finally said.
“Come on, Y/n. Let’s be serious,” Jason scoffed. He started listing off some of his best qualities. “I am smart, I get good grades. I am the head of the basketball team. I’m—,” Jason was cut off.
“Narcissistic?” Y/n suggested.
“Egotistical?” Eddie added.
But Jason seemed to ignore both of their comments. He held his hands up in defeat so he could finally present his case.
“I just wanna know,” Jason said slowly. “Will you go out with me?”
“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again,” Y/n said with a small shake of the head. “No,” she enunciated.
“Why not?” Jason almost whined.
“I could give you a million reasons,” Y/n rolled her eyes. She just then remembered her precious white lie. “Starting with: I am already in a committed relationship,” she announced.
For their sake, Eddie tried his hardest not to let his emotions show too clearly on his face. He would have most certainly rose his eyebrows in surprise if not for their current situation. This statement was a little shocking to hear because it wasn’t true.
However, Eddie found himself smiling at the statement. He just couldn’t wait to see the look on Jason’s face. Sure enough, the basketball boy was at a total loss for words. He must have been boiling with jealousy and anger. He eventually spoke up.
“With this freak?” He gestured to the man himself. “I don’t believe it,” Jason scoffed.
“I don’t know, man.” Mike interjected.
At this, Mike had turned his head to look between his friends. He remembered the whole ‘play along’ part and he decided to jump in to help them out.
“Did you see that kiss?” Mike said in a hinting manner. The others quickly caught on.
“Y-Yeah!” Dustin stumbled a bit. “Have you seen them?”
“They’re always all over each other,” Lucas chimed in.
“So in love,” Mike added. He was almost over selling it.
“Y-Yeah,” Eddie finally spoke up which caused everyone to look at him. “In fact, we’ll be celebrating our three month anniversary next week,” Eddie lied.
Just to piss off Jason even more, Eddie pulled the girl farther onto his lap. He leaned forward to that his face was hovering right next to the side of her face. He smirked evilly to himself. He went so far as to nip at her ear.
“What were we thinking, baby? A nice fancy dinner in town and then maybe we take things back to my place,” Eddie suggested.
“Eddie!” Y/n said almost surprised.
This was one of the first times that she had actually called him by his first name. She proceeded to slap his chest in a playful manner as if she were scolding him for saying such a thing. But he only smiled at her.
In that moment, Eddie pressed a small kiss on her lips. He was trying his hardest to convince everyone that they were in a relationship. And they were doing a pretty good job from how casual that second kiss looked.
They were putting up one hell of an act. While anyone could see that from their mannerism, they still played along where people couldn’t see. Such as under the table.
Eddie had his hand laying on the top of her black nylon covered thigh. His thumb rubbed small circles on the inside of her thigh, which was dangerously close to her heat. This caused her to blush profusely and forget for a second what she was thinking.
All the while, Y/n was mindlessly playing with the silver rings on his fingers. He felt a cold shiver rise up his spine upon feeling her caressing his long fingers so gently.
Both of them had grown somewhat distracted by each other’s actions. They just briefly glanced at one another through the corner of their eye. But then, Jason brought them back to reality.
“You’re sick, freak.”
“You’re one to talk,” Y/n mumbled under her breath.
“What did you just say to me?” Jason asked angrily.
This caused Eddie to tighten his hold on the girl in his lap. It could have been in a protective manner or as a warning to her to watch herself. She wasn’t sure.
All the sudden, Y/n rose to her feet in order to stand tall. She honestly didn’t care that everyone was now looking at her. She climbed onto the top of the table, which made a little ruckus.
She strode towards the every end of the table. Then she proceeded to squat down so that she was face to face with him. She narrowed her eyes at him.
“I said,” she said slowly. “You, Jason Carver, are a sick freak.”
The whole cafeteria erupted in ‘oohs’ as if saying they could feel the weight of her words and how much they burned.
Silently, Eddie stood to his own feet. He kept one hand on the table, taking a defensive stance. He was scared that she was getting too far ahead of herself and he wanted to be there for her in case something went down.
“You don’t think of anyone but yourself,” Y/n sneered. “You think you’re so high and mighty, better than everyone else here.”
Upon hearing this, Jason only crossed his arms over his chest and rolled his eyes at her comment. He saw that everyone was looking their way and listening to everything she said. It started making him nervous.
“You keep chasing after me because it pisses you off when you don’t get exactly what you want,” Y/n jabbed. “And the funny part is: you think you deserve everything the world has to offer,” Y/n chuckled.
Then Y/n raised her hand to show her fingers. She began listing off reasons why he thought he was deserving.
“Because you’re smart, because you’re the head of the basketball team, because of your status in society,” she carried on.
She leaned real close to him so that he could hear her final point. She knew she was playing with fire and speaking with venom in her voice.
“But let’s make something clear,” Y/n said. “You are nothing more than a pretentious little prick who’s got a stick so far up your own ass that you can’t take a fucking hint.”
He gritted his teeth and dug his fingers into the sleeves of his sports jacket. He was fuming at this point.
“So take the fucking hint, Carver. I’m not interested,” Y/n concluded.
Finally, Y/n rose to her feet and stood tall on the table. She looked down at him like he was lower than dirt. She spun around on the heels of her feet and walked back toward the other end of the table.
The Hellfire club members had stood up from their seats. They began to applaud her in the most dramatic way. They looked on her with such admiration in their eyes as if she was their savior.
At the end of the table, Eddie offered his hand to her like a gentlemen. She gladly took hold of it. He helped her climb off the table with the assistance of his hand.
As she began to walk away from the group, she looked over her shoulder and motioned for him to follow with the simple curl of her finger. He hurried to catch up with her, which caused him to almost stumble over his feet.
“Keep up, Munson.” She encouraged.
He trailed right behind her like a lost puppy, practically walking on the heels of her feet. He seemed mesmerized by her movements. He smiled to himself successfully.
Behind them, the other members of the club had joined them as they left the cafeteria. At one point, Y/n and Eddie had both turned around to flip the douchebag the bird. They waved their hands in the air, flipping him off in the process.
Even Dustin had turned around to flip him off. He was just mirroring Eddie who he admired so dearly and who had such an influence on him.
For the time being, Eddie and Y/n didn’t speak about the encounter in the cafeteria. They also didn’t talk about the whole ‘play pretend’ deal. It seemed like there was just this silent mutual agreement that, whenever Jason was around, they’d play pretend.
Less than a week later, Jason Carver was seeing walking around the hallways with his new girlfriend on his arm. Her name was Chrissy Cunningham. She was a pretty cheerleader.
It seemed like everyone in school knew that he was only dating her to get back at his old crush. The only person who didn’t seem to know that was Chrissy herself, which was honestly quite sad.
This was proven when Jason would be kissing Chrissy in the hallway with one eye peered open to check to see if Y/n was watching. She never was because she simply didn’t care.
It seemed like Jason was trying to tell absolutely everybody that he was so in love with Chrissy, but most people still believed he was still caught up on Y/n.
To prove himself, Jason would bring Chrissy flowers almost everyday. He’d write her love notes to put in his locker. He’s give her shoutouts at his basketball games. He was trying to go all out just so that Y/n knew about his new relationship status.
In contrast, whenever Jason was nearby, Eddie and Y/n would put on one hell of a show for him. Sometimes it consisted of Eddie putting his arm around her in the hallway. One time, Eddie had passed a note to Jason in class, asking if he’d be so kind as to hand it to Y/n. They both got a good laugh out of this, especially when the note only said “wanna smoke after school?”
There were times when Eddie and Y/n would be talking to each other before class. When Jason walked in, Y/n could see him in her peripheral vision. She would pop her lips into her mouth to contain her smile. Then she would widen her eyes a little at Eddie as if to tell him that he was here.
As if he read her mind, Eddie would lean down to capture her lips in his own. His body would be towering over her smaller figure sitting smartly at her desk.
Of course, Jason tried to play it off like it didn’t bother him. He’d simply roll his eyes and scoff at those two. He proceeded to head towards his own seat. He flopped down before casually glancing at them through the corner of his eye.
It had been a few months now. It was drawing closer to fall break. One day, Eddie was standing right beside Y/n locker. He was waiting for her to finish grabbing her school books so they could walk to their next class together. When Eddie looked up, he spotted Jason heading their way.
Although Jason hadn’t seen them yet, Eddie figured that he would soon. So despite the fact that they hadn’t physically spoken about their pact, Eddie decided to act on it since he was getting closer to them.
In that moment, Eddie went to grab onto her arms and made her turn to face him. He tried to look over her shoulder inconspicuously.
“Don’t look now. You-know-who is headed our way,” Eddie said to her without moving his lips.
He could feel her tense up in his grasp. He tried to assess the situation. He wanted to get back at him and he knew what would piss him off.
Without hesitation, Eddie lowered his hand to grasp her chin. He forced her to look up at him. He dipped his head down slightly.
“Just play along, baby girl.” He whispered.
In that exact moment, Jason had lifted his head just in time to see the two of them press their lips together in a kiss. He felt his fists clench at his sides and his face changed to the color of fire. He stormed off.
Meanwhile, Eddie had wrapped his arms around her waist. He pulled her as close as humanly possible. He was trying to enjoy and savor every single second spent kissing her.
There was a part of him that desperately wanted them to keep up with their ‘fake relationship.’ He would gladly keep pretending if it meant he got to be with her, even if it didn’t mean anything. He wanted her so badly.
He feared the day they would give up their game of pretend. He figured that it would only be a matter of time before they had to stop.
Now Eddie hated to admit just how hard he fell in love with her. In the beginning, he tried telling himself not to get too attached since it was only temporary and entirely fake.
But every time he saw her precious smile or he heard her pretty little laugh, he only found that he was falling deeper and deeper in love with her. He loved everything about her. He liked playing games with her, tricking everyone around them. He could list off a million things he loved and admired about her. He savored every moment spent with her.
So this time, when he kissed her, he kissed her with such desperation. It was as if he was trying to communicate how he felt towards her and how he never wanted to let her go. He silently prayed she could read his mind.
When Eddie finally pulled away, he could have sworn that he saw a twinkle in her eyes. She stared at him with her mouth slightly agape, catching her breath. He wondered if she was studying his face or searching for something.
“C—Can we talk? After school?” Y/n wondered.
Upon hearing those words, Eddie felt his heart drop in the confines of his chest. He thought the day had finally come. And the pain was nearly unbearable
“Y—Yeah. Of course,” Eddie struggled. But he nodded his head in confirmation.
The two of them agreed to meet by the picnic table in the woods. It was where Eddie did a lot of his deals. But it was a quiet, private, and secluded area where they could speak freely.
By the time Y/n had come to the picnic table, Eddie was already sitting there. He was fiddling with his hands nervously. He stared down at the old warped wood. He heard her approach him so he looked up at her.
For some unknown reason, Y/n couldn’t bring herself to sit down at the table. She instead opted for pacing back and forth. She tried to collect her words since she had rehearsed them in her head during the last couple periods of school.
The whole time, Eddie was watching her like a hawk. He had a feeling he knew what she was about to say. He had this horrible feeling in his gut and the pain in his chest had been hurting for some time. He wore a worried expression on his face.
“I—I can’t keep doing this,” Y/n began. She ran her fingers through her hair, pulling her hair in slight frustration.
“I understand,” Eddie confessed with a small sigh of defeat.
“I can’t keep playing pretend,” Y/n added. She had tears streaming in the corners of her eyes. She was so afraid to come out and say it. But she had to. “Not when I’ve fallen in love with you,” Y/n confessed.
Upon hearing this, Eddie snapped his head up so he could look at her and see if he heard her correctly. He cautiously rose to his feet. His mouth had parted slightly since he couldn’t find the right words.
Slowly, Eddie made his way around the side of the table until he was standing right in front of her. He saw how nervous and anxious she looked as if she feared his answer.
“You—” Eddie began.
“Yes,” Y/n cut him off.
“You’re in love with me?” Eddie wanted confirmation. He pointed to himself just to be clear.
“I am in love with you, Eddie Munson.” Y/n confessed softly. She sent him a small nervous smile. “I have been for some time,” she added.
“How long?” Eddie truthfully wanted to know.
“I liked you since before our whole scheme. But I started falling for you the more we hung out. I—I just didn’t know how to tell you,” Y/n said truthfully.
With shaky hands, Y/n was quick to wipe away the fears falling down her cheeks. She sniffled slightly. She fiddled with her hands to contain her anxiety. She couldn’t bare to look at him.
“If you don’t feel the same way, I completely understand. I just thought you had the right to know. And if I’ve ruined our dynamic and our friendship, then I am truly sorry—,” but she couldn’t finish her sentence.
Because Eddie Munson had cupped her face in his hands and silenced her with a kiss. Their mouths were moving together in a synchronized harmony. Their lips fit together like two perfect puzzle pieces and it was the most satisfying thing.
Their hearts were beating rapidly against their chests, threatening to break through the thin barrier. They could practically feel the blood and adrenaline pumping and coursing through their veins. They felt a rush of euphoric bliss envelop their beings, making their hearts sing with pure joy. Their hearts could barely contain the million different emotions surged through their bodies; desire, hunger, love, lust.
His lips were quite course, almost chapped. He kissed her with such dominance as if he were afraid she would slip through his fingers. On the other hand, her lips were so soft and gentle. She returned the kiss with the same amount of passion. She melted into his embrace.
In the end, the two of them beings needed oxygen to survive. They had quite reluctantly pulled away from each other. They carefully leaned forward to rest their heads together. The two panted heavily to regain their breath. They stared into each other’s eyes, feeling at a loss for words.
“I—I don’t understand,” Y/n said. She closed her eyes and furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.
“I love you too,” Eddie explained. “I thought that was obvious,” Eddie chuckled softly.
“You—you do?” She had tears in her eyes.
“Yes, baby girl.” He tucked a single strand of hair behind her ear. He then choked her cheek and caressed it with his thumb. “Ever since you kissed me in the cafeteria, I knew I was a goner,” Eddie said breathlessly.
They quickly found that they were at a loss for words. Neither of them knew what to say or what to do. They could feel the smiles growing at the corners of their lips. Then they began to laugh.
Suddenly, Eddie and Y/n found themselves going in for a tight embrace. They held each other so tightly like they were afraid they’d loose each other. They stood still.
“I don’t want to pretend you’re mine anymore,” Eddie whispered to her. “I want you to be mine, all mine.”
She smiled at this. And closed her eyes to savor his words. She went to kiss his cheek.
“You have me. All of me.”

It has all started the first week of senior year. Now this was Eddie’s third time repeating his senior year, but he claimed this time was going to be different. And it was for one reason.
With each school year, Eddie picked out some little ‘lost sheep’ in the crowd to become part of his Hellfire Club. Just last semester, Eddie had found the most unlikely person to join their group. Her name was Y/n L/n.
In January, Eddie saw her coming to sit at the far end of their table. She silently sat by herself, lowering her tray of gross cafeteria food on the table. Then Y/n proceeded to pull out a D&D Monsters Manual book.
This caused Eddie to spit out the milk he was drinking from his little carton. The other members of the group turned to look at him with a quizzical look in their eyes. He’d never seen a girl that was interested in the game. He tipped his head to motion to the strange girl and all of their eyes followed his gaze.
By the end of the week, Eddie had worked up the courage to approach her and ask her if she wanted to join their club. She happily agreed to.
When Eddie received the news that he wouldn’t be graduating and he’d have to repeat his senior year once again, he wasn’t necessarily upset like all the other times.
This meant that he’d get to spend another year building his Hellfire Club. It also meant he’d get to spend more time with her.
At the start of the new year, the Hellfire Club was short on three people since three of their members had graduated in the spring. It didn’t take long for them to recruit three kids named Mike, Dustin, and Lucas. They were die hard fans of the game and they had been playing since they were little.
They proved their worth on multiple occasions, helping defeat various monsters. On Fridays, the club would wear their Hellfire shirts since they planned to play after school. This week was no different.
At lunch, Eddie lifted his gaze to stare at Y/n while he mindlessly played with his mashed potatoes. She was situated between Mike and Dustin.
The two boys had one of their first midterms coming up next week. Neither of them had studied. So Y/n was helping them out by walking them through some of the problems.
“Then the exponent goes-,” Y/n voice trailed off.
“Right there,” Dustin exclaimed as if the light had finally gone off in his head and it all made sense to him.
“Exactly!” Y/n said with a broad smile on her face. She scribbled on the piece of paper to write down the answer to the equation.
Eddie kept his gaze on his food, but the corners of his lips cracked into a small smile. He stole a quick glance towards her.
“Algebra is so much easier when you explain it. You’re even better than Mrs Miller,” Mike stated. He claimed he never learned anything from his teacher.
“Well, I’ve tutored a lot of kids. I’ve had practice,” Y/n explained.
“Speaking of tutoring,” Y/n peered around the boys to look towards the head of the table. “Do you need any help studying for Mrs O’Donnells midterm?” Y/n wondered.
While Y/n knew that Eddie’s grades weren’t the best in school and that he had failed Mrs O’Donnell’s class twice, Y/n couldn’t help but wonder if he needed or wanted any help.
“N-No thanks,” Eddie stumbled over his words. He quickly diverted his gaze by staring down at his food.
“Alright. If you change your mind, just let me know,” Y/n said as she rose to her feet. “I-I should get going. Got another class here soon,” she excused herself.
“See you after school,” Dustin called after her.
Once she was out of their line of sight, everyone turned their heads to look at the dungeon master himself. He raised his own head and looked at all of them. He shrugged his shoulders in defeat.
“What?” Eddie wondered.
“You never take up her offer to tutor you,” Dustin noticed.
“Don’t need to,” Eddie claimed. “I am crawling my way towards a D- in Mrs O’Donnells class.”
“And one bad score on your midterm could drop you even further back,” Lucas stated.
“Listen man,” Eddie began. “I appreciate the effort, but believe me, if Y/n tutored me…I wouldn’t learn anything.”
“What makes you say that?” Dustin perked up.
“It’s because he wouldn’t be focusing on the homework if you know what I mean,” Garett smirked and quirked his eyebrow.
“Shut up!” Eddie yelled.
“You like her?!” Dustin exclaimed in a quiet whisper. “Why didn’t you just say so?”
“How long have you had a crush on her?” Mike questioned.
“Ever since he saw her last semester reading a monsters manual,” Jeff interjected.
“Took him a week to finally talk to her,” Garett added since he had also been there last year to witness it.
“And he’s been gone every since,” Jeff added.
“Will you two just shut up?” Eddie demanded. He slammed his hands down on the table which caused all of them to jump and drop the subject.
There were a couple moments of awkward silence at the table. No one even dared speak up unless they wanted their head to get bitten off.
As if on cue, the lunch bell rang to signal the end of the period. Everyone at the table began to collect their things, throwing their trash onto their trays. One by one, they stood up to go their separate ways.
Finally, Eddie and Dustin were the last two at the table. They had a sort of bond. And Eddie couldn’t deny that he was closer to Dustin than the other two. There was just something about him that was loveable. It was almost like he was his younger brother.
“Hey. Listen,” Dustin said cautiously. “I know you probably don’t want to talk to Y/n because you don’t want to ruin the friendship you guys have.”
When Eddie didn’t say anything, Dustin took that as a cue to continue. He spoke softly so nobody could hear him.
“I don’t know much about girls but I’ve seen the way she looks at you. She really likes you,” Dustin tried.
“No,” Eddie shook his head in denial. “No, she’s like that to everyone. She’s just a kind hearted person. I’m no different than everyone else,” Eddie said.
“Well, if you say so.” Dustin sighed. He took his tray and began to walk away.
After Hellfire, Eddie always offered to drive the younger boys home since it was usually late at night. He’d also take Y/n home since she lived only ten minutes away from him.
The three boys clambered into the back of his van, obsessing over their last campaign session. They had just barely survived, but it was such an epic win. They couldn’t help talk about it.
Meanwhile, Eddie climbed into the driver’s seat and Y/n was seated in the passenger’s seat. He began to drive away.
He really wasn’t listening to the boys in the backseat, opting to steal temporary glances towards the person beside him. When Y/n would turn her head to look at him, Eddie would quickly look back towards the road. She smiled to herself.
Slowly, Eddie pulled up to Lucas’s house. He put the van in park and waited until he climbed out of the vehicle. All of the sudden, Y/n rolled down to window to call out to him.
“Don’t forget to study for your midterm,” Y/n called.
“Yes mom,” Lucas rolled his eyes while walking backwards. He sent her a small smile and a wave.
The van started up again. They began driving further down the street, taking a couple turns until they came to the next house.
At the Wheeler home, Mrs Wheeler was looking out the living room window. She had heard the van pulling up. She went to open the door and welcomed her teenage son home. She sent a small wave to the van as if to say thank you for bringing him home safely.
“What about that Eddie Munson and Y/n L/n?” Mrs Wheeler asked her son after she closed the front door.
“What about them?” Mike asked. He headed towards the kitchen and grabbed a cookie from the cookie jar.
“They’d make a good couple,” Mrs Wheeler confessed. She looked out the window to watch them drive away.
“They’re kinda polar opposites,” Mike said as if saying he knew them better than anyone. “Eddie is rebellious and Y/n is the responsible one of the group.”
“Opposites attract,” Mrs Wheeler claimed with a small smile. “You never know,” Mrs Wheeler insisted.
“Whatever,” Mike rolled his eyes. “Goodnight mom.”
By the time the van drove up to Dustin’s home, Dustin was fast asleep in the backseat. The two older kids turned their heads to look over their shoulder, smiling at the sight of Dustin sleeping with his mouth wide open.
“Should I scare him awake?” Eddie whispered.
“No! That would be mean,” Y/n stated. She unbuckled her seatbelt and opened the passenger door. She climbed out of the vehicle, prying open the door of the backseat.
Hesitantly, Y/n laid her hand on the young boy’s shoulder to waken him gently. He stirred in his sleep, tossing his head from side to side. He opened his eyes slowly.
“Hey Dustin,” Y/N whispered so softly. “You’re home.”
Lazily, Dustin unbuckled his own seatbelt and climbed out of the vehicle. She went to grab his jacket, throwing it over his shoulders. She then proceeded to zip him up like a mother would do for her own child.
She took his backpack out of the van. She handed it to him. She threw his cap on his head before gently pushing him towards his house. He shuffled up the driveway lazily and tiredly.
Afterwards, Y/n climbed back into the van. She buckled her seatbelt quickly. When she turned her head, she found Eddie looking directly at her with a small smile on his face.
“What?” Y/n smiled.
“Nothing,” Eddie shrugged. “You’re like the mom of the group.”
“Guilty,” Y/n laughed.
In that moment, Eddie started the van once again and drove away. The two of them sat in the most comfortable silence. The only thing that could be heard was the sound of wind coming through the cracked window.
When Eddie looked at Y/n, he saw her hair blowing in the wind as she looked out the window. Her facial features seemed to glow in the light of the moon. She looked heavenly.
Much to Eddie’s dismay, he made the turn to her house. He pulled into her driveway and turned the keys of his van. The two of them sat there in silence for a couple minutes.
Suddenly, Eddie turned his head to look at the young girl sitting beside him. He clambered out of his own car, which caused his car to rock back and forth. He hurriedly ran around the backside of his car like the insane kid he was.
He went to open her door for her. He offered his hand to her like a gentleman. She smiled at his actions, gladly taking his hand as he escorted her out of the van. He closed the door behind her.
The two of them walked towards her front door. As she began to unlock the front door, he leaned against the door frame. He watched her movements so carefully. He mentally took note of how her hands shook slightly which caused him to furrow his eyebrows in confusion.
“Well, this is me.” Y/n said nervously. She motioned to the door.
“Right,” Eddie nodded. He shoved his hands into the depths of his pockets, rocking back and forth on the heels of his feet.
She said a small goodbye before opening the door of her house. She walked into her house, closing the door in a slow motion.
“Wait! Y/n!” Eddie called.
To stop the door from closing, Eddie took a step forward and slammed the flat of his hand against the solid door. He held it open.
“W-would you still be willing to tutor me? I don’t want to fail my class again. I could really use the help…just didn’t know how to ask for it,” Eddie confessed.
“Of course I’ll help you,” Y/n said with a small smile on her face.
“Say tomorrow? Around 3pm?” Eddie suggested.
“Alright,” Y/n agreed with a curt nod. “I’ll see you then.”
Once again, Y/n began to close the door behind her. But Eddie had to ask her one more question. He put his hand out again to stop the door from closing.
“A-And maybe…i-if you want to,” Eddie said slowly. “I could take you out to dinner afterwards,” Eddie offered.
“Eddie Munson,” Y/n said slowly. “Are you asking me out on a date?”
“Would that be such a bad thing if I was?” Eddie challenged.
“No. It wouldn’t be.” Y/n said with a small shake of the head.
“Great,” Eddie said. “Then it’s a date.”
In response, Eddie could feel the corners of his lips tugging into a broad smile. He stuffed his hands back into his leather jacket pockets.
Out of nowhere, Eddie awkwardly stepped forward and leaned down to her eye height. He pecked his lips against her in the most innocent manner. It was so quick that either of them could really process that it just happened. It only lasted a second.
When Eddie had pulled away, he quickly dropped his gaze to stare down at his feet. He kicked some of the gravel with the heel of his foot. He was trying to bud the evident blush creeping up his face and coloring his cheeks.
Unbeknownst to him, Y/n was also blushing profusely at his action. She popped her lips into her mouth to hide the growing smile from forming in her face. She balanced her height from one leg to the other.
“Alright,” Eddie announced a little louder than normal. He took a step backwards so she could finally close the door. “I‘ll see you tomorrow,” Eddie said.
“For our date,” Y/n confirmed. She watched him take a couple more steps backwards, heading towards his van.
“Yes! For our date,” Eddie repeated. “I’ll see you there.”
“Bye Eddie,” Y/n said. She finally closed the door behind her.
“Goodbye Y/n,” Eddie said to nothing in particular.
As if he didn’t believe what just happened, Eddie spun around on the heels of his feet. He pondered his thoughts carefully, reliving everything that just happened.
In disbelief, Eddie weaves his fingers through his long locks of hair. He smiled to himself, scoffing at the mere idea that he had a date. He hurried to the driver’s side of his car.
Once inside, Eddie closed the door behind him. He gripped the steering wheel tightly. Then Eddie jumped enthusiastically in his seat. He cheered to himself in success. It had taken him long enough to work up his courage. Now he’s be reaping the benefits. And he had a date tomorrow night.

Part One Here
During the car ride, Eddie was replaying the last couple minutes in his head. He tried to reimagine what it felt like to have her in his lap or when she so forcefully forced him back in the seat.
At this point, Eddie wasn’t helping his little problem underneath the pillow. He pressed his wrist even deeper into the pillow in hopes of reliving some of the pressure. He fought back a groan by bitting his bottom lip. His eyes were squeezed shut tightly.
He was trying so hard to hide from the others. He couldn’t let them know what he was thinking or feeling in that moment. He also couldn’t get himself off. He was stuck.
Instead of trying to change his thought process, Eddie found himself crawling into an even deeper hole of his secret fantasizes. He let his mind wander further away from reality.
In this fantasy of his, Y/N was standing right in front of him in the same empty camper can. He was still situated on the couch with the small pillow on his lap.
He inhaled sharply at the mere sight of her only wearing his oversized hellfire shirt. His shirt fell just over the swell of her bottom so it covered everything.
All of the sudden, Y/N grasped the bottom part of the shirt and began to tug it over her head. By doing this, it was revealed that she was wearing the most beautiful set of red lace underwear. She also had matching red lipstick that painted her lips.
In response to seeing her like that, Eddie pressed his lips into his mouth and bit down so hard. His eyes down the length of her body in hopes of taking in every curve of her beautiful body. He pressed both of his hands down on the pillow. He whimpered at the feeling.
In the most seductive manner, Y/N began taking steps towards him. She stopped to stand between his wide open legs, gazing down at him with heavily hooded eyes.
As Eddie looked up at her, he swallowed the heavy lump at the back of his throat. He was breathing so heavily that his chest was rising and falling rapidly.
Slowly, Y/N raised her hand towards the side of his face. She cupped his cheek with her hand and he felt himself leaning into her touch. Her thumb swiped her his bottom lip before she forced her thumb into his mouth. She pressed her thumb onto his tongue, prying open his mouth.
In this fantasy, Eddie sucked her thumb in the most obedient manner. He had this look on his face that said he would obey any word she said and he would worship her like no other. He was growing more hot and bothered with each passing second.
All of the sudden, Y/N climbed back into Eddie’s lap. She brought both of her hands to either side of his face, caressing his hair out of his face and playing with it in her hands.
Carefully, Eddie moved his shaking hands to lay on the sides of her hips. He drew her body closer to him and pulled her down as he pushed up into her. He groaned upon feeling her body pressing into his hard on.
“F-Fuck,” Eddie stuttered. He closed his eyes and relished the feeling.
When Eddie opened his eyes, he took note of their proximity. The tip of his nose had just brushed against hers. He could feel her soft breaths on his face. He even smelled her sweet perfume which only made his mind go hazy and fuzzy.
Without hesitation, the two of their bodies had collided into the most heated and bruising kiss. It was quite messy; their lips were meshed together, their teeth clashed, and their tongues intertwined.
He could feel this tight knot forming in the center of his stomach. His fingers sunk into the sides of her hips, gripping her so tightly that he never wanted to let go.
She weaves her fingers through his curly locks of hair, holding the back of his head. She balled her hand into a fist and tugged on his hair which caused him to moan in her mouth.
Without parting to even take a breath of air, Eddie tilted his head to the side to deepen their connection. He desperately wanted to taste her rosy red lips. He forcefully parted the seam of her lips with his tongue, shoving his tongue into her mouth to explore.
All of the sudden, Y/N pulled his hair so roughly that it forced them to break away. The two of them were panting heavily, staring at each other with pure lust in their eyes.
She began to attack his neck, nipping and sucking at the sensitive skin. She was sure to leave deep red and purple marks. She moved towards the crevice of his jaw, sucking the sweet spot and hearing the sweetest moan come out of his lips.
In that exact moment, Eddie snaked his hand down to her neck. He dug his fingers into her neck. He forcefully pulled her away from his neck and held her right in front of him. He imagined that it was getting hard for her to breath but it would only turn her on more.
He pulled her forward to claim her mouth once again in an intense manner. His heart was beating so fast that he was scared it would actually break out of his chest. His hands wandered the length of her back until they found the clasp of her bra.
Right as Eddie was about to undo her bra, the camper van hit a huge bump in the road. This immediately caused Eddie to snap out of his fantasy and back into the world of reality. He opened his eyes to survey his surroundings.
“Son of a bitch,” Eddie whispered to himself. He was still turned on and his little fantasy really hadn’t helped at all.
The kids were sitting on the long couch at the back of the camper. At the front of the van, Steve was driving and Nancy was sitting in the passenger seat. Then Y/N and Robin were sitting on the small couch right across from him.
When Eddie’s eyes landed on Y/N, he quickly took in her demeanor. She was sitting with her hands neatly folded in her lap. For a moment, Eddie realized that his fantasy of her would probably never match her in reality.
He made her out to be this strong headed women who would simply dominate him in bed. But right now, she was looking at him with the most innocent look on her face. She probably didn’t even own a pair of lace underwear.
However, Eddie just remembered the way she had handled him only moments early. He smirked to himself upon realizing that she did have a not-so-innocent side. She could control him if she wanted. She had just shown that she could. And he was into it.
Meanwhile, the camper van pulled into the back lot of the gun store. It was a rather busy day. The parking lot was packed with cars and people were filtering in and out of the place.
“Alright. Let’s make this quick,” Steve said as he put the camper into park.
The others stood to their feet and began to filter out of the camper van. Now since Eddie was wanted by the cops, he had to stay back. He forced himself to stand to his feet as the others left the van.
“I-I’ll stay here,” Y/N interjected.
Upon hearing this, Steve and Nancy turned their heads to look at her. Then the two of them looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders. They didn’t find anything wrong with that.
“Keep Eddie company,” Y/N claimed. She turned her head to look at him, sending him a playful wink that almost made him swoon.
Once they had all left, Y/N reached into her jacket pocket to pull out a pack of cigarettes and a small light. She popped one into the corner of her mouth and raised the lighter to the end of the cigarette.
“I didn’t know you smoked,” Eddie said. He felt himself falling more in love with her with each passing second
“Horrible habit of mine,” Y/N confessed. She pulled the cigarette out of her mouth before blowing a long line of smoke.
Slowly, Y/N leaned forward in her seat and offered Eddie the cigarette in her hands. He took it from her and brought it to his lips. He breathed it in heavily. He handed it back to her, holding the smoke for a second in his mouth.
“Hey,” Y/N said randomly. “I-I wanted to say sorry for earlier.”
“Why?” Eddie laughed nervously. He crossed his arms over his chest.
“Because I did some things that might have made you uncomfortable in the moment. And I didn’t mean to,” Y/N rambled on.
“You didn’t make me uncomfortable,” Eddie confessed.
“No?” Y/N asked.
“Not at all,” Eddie said. He rubbed the back of his neck with his hand. “In fact, it kinda turned me on. I’ve never experienced that before,” Eddie responded.
“Is that why you have a pillow in your lap?” Y/N questioned with a sly smile in her face.
“You caught me,” Eddie laughed. He pulled the pillow off his lap to reveal his hard on still pressing into his jeans. “It also didn’t help that I was thinking about you after,” Eddie said.
“Y-You were thinking about me?” Y/N sputtered and coughed a small cloud of smoke. She smashed the blunt of her cigarette in the holder on the table, leaving it there.
“Yeah,” Eddie drew out.
“What is there to think about?” Y/N said nervously. She quickly stood to her feet and went to move towards the back of the camper.
However, Eddie had also stood to his feet. He went to grab her wrist in order to halt her movements. She whipped her head around to look at him. She swallowed thickly as he stood over her.
“There is a lot to think about,” Eddie whispered over her. “Left so much to the imagination.”
She didn’t say anything. She really couldn’t in that moment. He brushed a single strand of hair out of her face.
“I yearned to touch you again. I thought about how you’d feel against me,” Eddie continued.
He traced his hand down the side of her body, brushing against the skin of her arm. It caused the hairs on her arm to stand and she felt a cold shiver run down her spine.
“How you’d react to my touches,” Eddie said in a hushed voice. He leaned forward to bush’s his lips against the shell of her ear. She closed her eyes to savor the moment. She felt the heat of his breath on her neck.
“And how you’d control me,” Eddie concluded. He pulled away from her to stare at her face. He watched her eyes flutter open in the most gentle manner.
“You want me to be in control of you?”Y/N repeated as if she had heard him wrong.
“More than anything,” Eddie shook his head in defeat. He confessed this is what turned him on the most.
Without warning, Y/N had grabbed the back of his neck and brought him down to her height. She smashed her lips against him in the most desperate manner.
He quickly brought his hands to her sides, pulling her as close as humanly possible into him. He moaned against her mouth upon realizing that kissing her was so much better than he’d ever imagined.
He backed her into the wall of the camper, pinning her right there. He parted her legs open with his knee, allowing her to rest on the top of his thigh. She began to grind down on him.
Their mouths were fighting against one another’s. The open mouthed kisses were sloppy which made a loud smacking noise throughout the small camper. They swallowed each other’s moans.
He could feel her fingers tugging at the strands of his hair. He held her face in his hands, smearing their mouths together in a messy kiss.
She tasted so sweet. Her lips were so soft. She melted in her touch and molded her body against his in the perfect way. He couldn’t get enough of her.
She grabbed the flaps of his leather jacket and was trying to pull him closer as she so desperately wanted to feel his body. She quickly shoved his jacket over his shoulders to disregard it on the floor.
When the two of them parted for a breath of fresh air, they stared at each other for a split second. They panted heavily and their chests were heaving.
All of the sudden, Y/N had reached behind him to twist the random doorknob. She pulled open a door behind them which led to a very small and cramped bathroom.
She placed her hand on the center of him chest and walked him backwards into the bathroom.
“What are we doing?” Eddie wondered. He glanced behind him so he didn’t trip on anything as he entered the bathroom blindly.
“We are going to fuck before the others come back,” Y/N explained with a small smirk on her face.
Upon hearing this, Eddie felt the smile growing at the corners of his lips. His heart pounded in his chest at the mere thought. He quickly reached behind her to grab the door handle, slamming the door shut behind them. Now they were all alone.

Part Two Here
To conceal his identity to the world, Eddie Munson wore a terrifying Michael Myers mask. He poked his head from around the corner of the trailer park.
When the coast was clear, Eddie raised his hand to motion for the whole group to follow him. They cautiously made their way to one of the vans, searching for hidden entry.
Immediately, Eddie slid open one of the small windows near the back of the van. He proceeded to hoist himself up into the window. He landed on the couch and quickly moved into a sitting position.
He ripped off the mask covering his face and claimed that it was suffocating to breathe in. He began to move towards the front of the van while the others climbed through the window. He quickly locked the front door.
Then Eddie plopped down into the driver’s seat. He pulled a pair of pliers out of his bag. He quickly ripped the wires from underneath the wheel out before searching through them for the right one.
Unbeknownst to Eddie, Steve had come to stand behind him and hovered over his shoulder.
“Where’d you learn how to do this?“ Steve questioned.
“While the other dads were teaching their sons how to fish or play ball, my old man was teaching me how to hot wire,” Eddie explained.
In the background, Y/N had come to stand behind the two boys as well. She watched him carefully rifle through the wires, desperately searching for a few of them. She saw him cut through a wire using the pliers.
“Now I swore to myself I wouldn’t wind up like he did. But now, I’m wanted to murder and soon…grand theft auto. So I’m really living up to that Munson name,” Eddie laughed nervously.
“Uh Eddie,” Robin interrupted. “I’m not sure if I love the idea of you driving.”
“Oh I’m starting this sucker,” Eddie said. “Harrington’s got her. Don’t ya, but boy?” Eddie teased.
For a couple seconds, it seemed like he was struggling to find the right wire. It could have been that he felt rushed or the pressure of being watched by others.
All of the sudden, the couple who owned the van began knocking on the door violently. They began yelling profanities, demanding that those peaty kids get out of their home.
“Munson,” Steve began. “Now would be a good time to get her started.”
“I’m trying to,” Eddie yelled in response.
“Oh! For crying out loud,” Y/N exclaimed.
As if on cue, Y/N roughly grabbed onto Eddie’s shoulder. She forced him to lean back in the driver’s seat. Then Y/N slipped into his lap. She leaned forward to look at the wires.
Instantly, Eddie tensed up at the feeling of someone sitting on his lap. He couldn’t help but place his hands on her hips to steady her movements. He held back a groan upon feeling himself growing harder.
Now Eddie was curious and quite intrigued by Y/N’s hidden talent of hot wiring cars. He found himself leaning forward to peek over her shoulder in order to watch her work.
As the couple beat loudly on the windows and threatened to call the cops, Y/N held two wires together in hopes that the electricity would spark between them.
Within a few short seconds, the engine of the van sputtered to life. A huge cloud of grey smoke streamed out of the muffler.
In that moment, Y/N jumped to her feet and spun around in her place. She grabbed a fistful of Eddie’s white hellfire shirt, hauling him to his feet.
All the while, Steve had climbed into the driver’s seat and began driving the van away.
In the meantime, Y/N did not halt her efforts. She led him towards the back of the van, forcing him to walk backwards as she walked in front of him.
He was quite taken away by her roughness, especially when she forced him down onto the couch.
“Sit down,” Y/N demanded. “And stay down.”
“Yes ma’am,” Eddie squeaked.
He was gazing up at her with an awestruck look on his face. His big brown eyes shown so much admiration for her. She seemed to ignore his look and began to walk back towards the front of the van.
Naturally, Eddie’s gaze seemed to follow her figure. He looked down at himself to see a very evident tent in his pants. He quickly grabbed the pillow next to him on the couch and placed it in his lap to cover himself.
He ran his hand through his long sweaty locks of curly hair. He leaned his head against the backside of the couch. He felt completely lost in his feelings. He was totally hot wired for her.
I wanted to do something a little different for this story. I’ve never written for Eddie Munson, but I couldn’t get this oneshot out of my head. Hope you guys like it!

MASTERLIST
The air was silent. Darkened gray smudges of cloud threateningly surrounded the sky; like a predator would stalk its prey. A startling low rumble rang loud in the cool fall air, the sky roaring with satisfaction. A sense of cleanliness caresses the atmosphere, washing away all impurities. A dense earthly sweet smell rises from the ground, enveloping everything within its soft embrace. The skies suddenly settle, as if it were comforted, coaxed even. The fluffy smudges don’t part completely - although the sun peeks out timidly- and rather look like its preparing for an even more vicious round.
Earlier in the day, the casket of the eastern king had been paraded through the streets of his former kingdom. It had been accompanied by an army of soldiers wearing their uniforms. The flag of the kingdom was gracefully placed over the casket and a grand bouquet of marvelous flowers rested on top.
The people flooded the streets to watch. Many brought bouquets of flowers and placed them at the gates of the palace as a form of respect. As the casket passed through the streets, there were some crying in the audience. Others wiped away their tears silently with their handkerchiefs. It was a day of mourning.
The bell tower was scheduled to ring every hour of the day for the next week to commemorate the long life of the king. The casket was now making its way towards the abbey which was located in the capital city of the country. It was hundreds of miles away from any of the four kingdoms, situated right in the center of the country.
This was where he would finally be laid to rest forever. His only offspring stood at the door of the abbey, watching the six men carry the casket through the doors.
The princess was dressed in a heavy black dress. She also wore a black veil to conceal her face and to make sure nobody saw her tear stained cheeks. The eastern kingdom now belonged to her as a form of her inheritance. When she weds, her kingdom was to merge with the northern kingdom based on the contract that was signed months prior.
In the abbey, the casket was formally placed into the ground. The hall was filled with the bodies of previous kings from all four kingdoms. The princess turned to read some of the headstones lining the walls. She made note of her grandfather’s headstone, reading his name quietly in her head. She almost wondered how many of Thomas’s relatives laid to rest here.
Once the casket was fully hurried, the stone seal was placed over top of it. The priest said one final prayer. Once the priest said “amen”, the princess moved to step forward in her place. She knelt on the ground and placed her hand on the stone to say her final goodbye. A single tear fell from her face.
After a minute or so, the princess stood to her feet and swiftly moved to leave the abbey. Her future husband quickly went to catch up with her, but his father caught his shoulder and stopped him from casing after her.
“Give her some space. She desperately needs it,” King Dominic responded. His son gave a single nod of the head.
“How soon are we to depart to the northern kingdom?” Prince Thomas wondered. He looked at his father with a slightly worried look on his face. He didn’t want to force his fiancée to leave her homeland, but they were getting married soon and they needed to stay on schedule.
“We leave at dawn,” the King of the North said swiftly. He went to leave the presence of his eldest son, heading towards the entrance of the abbey.
In the carriage ride back to the eastern kingdom, the princess was looking solemnly out the window. She hadn't any need to speak up and she allowed no more tears to fall from her eyes. Yet, her heart felt so heavy with grief.
“How are you feeling, my love?”Thomas wondered. He went to lace his arm around her shoulders, pulling her more into his side.
The princess sniffled up her tears and reached up, whipping her eyes with her hand. She shrugged her shoulders and looked away, avoiding eye contact with her lover. He rubber her arm reassuringly, gazing down at her with kind eyes.
“Come here,” Thomas said. The princess sat up and leaned forward, wrapping her arms around his strong figure. His arms enveloped around her small body, holding her closely to his chest. He reached up and brushed her hair down, soothing her into a form of contentment.
The princess gripped onto his shirt tightly, sobbing into his chest. Her salty tears stained his shirt, soaking through the material. He held her in his embrace, soothing her with his encouraging words.
“There, there. It’s going to be alright,” Thomas said softly.
“H...He was all I had left. H-He was the only family I e-ever had. I’m an orphan now. I’m all alone,” she said. Her voice was shaky and unstable, coming out in short spurts due to her hiccups.
The prince tilted his head to the side and ran his hand down her back, rubbing reassuringly. She stifled up her tears, pushing them away.
“In a way, we should be celebrating. We should not be grief-stricken. There is sorrow and distress in our hearts. We need to replace it with happiness and joy. Your father is in a better place now. He is happy, he is safe. There is no need to worry about him. He has reunited with your mother now,” Thomas said while looking down at her.
“Do you think he suffered?” The princess asked in a low whisper. The prince turned his head and looked down at her with concerned eyes. He shook his head in denial.
“No, darling. I have reason to believe that he passed away in his sleep. He didn’t feel any pain. He didn’t feel any suffering. He went away peacefully,” the prince continued. He was not entirely sure if his accusation was correct.
The princess stared off into the distance, pondering on his words. She turned her head and looked out the window, seeing the darkened sky raising high above the mountains. The bright silver moon was high in the sky, shining a light down on earth. It was late.
“Tomorrow,” Thomas said, moving slightly. “We will be leaving for the northern kingdom in the morning.”
The prince tilted his head to the side and looked down at her. He reached down and pressed his fingers against her chin, raising it so that he could gaze into her eyes. They looked at each other with such sadness in their expressions. He shook his head slightly, denying her words.
“You are not alone,” he whispered. “You’ll never be alone. I’ll always be there for you. No matter what,” Thomas confirmed. She swallowed thickly, but nodded her head in confirmation. He pulled her closer to his chest, resting his chin on her head as she sobbed quietly into his chest.
The prince was humming to himself, hoping to ease the princess into contentment. His soothing voice was calming and relaxing. Her crying dialed down as she listened to the sound of his thumping heartbeat. The tears staining her cheeks were no longer flowing. They had come to a halt.
“My love,” Thomas said. “Just think, in a few short months, we shall be married. How exciting is that? Are you not looking forward to that?”
The princess listened to his soft words, pressing her ear against his chest to listen to the sound of his heartbeat. She lifted her head to gaze into his eyes. She cracked a small smile, nodding her head in agreement.
“I suppose I am quite excited to be getting married,” the princess stated. “But there is still so much to do,” she sighed.
“Well, I am quite certain my mother will be more than willing to help you out with that.” Thomas chuckled softly.
“I can’t wait to meet your mother. Your father speaks so highly of her,” the princess recalled.
“I can’t wait to see her as well. It’s been so long,” Thomas said. The carriage began to pull up to the entrance of the palace. The two young royals stepped out of the carriage and began climbing the grand steps to the entrance.
The two of them made their way through the hallways of the palace, heading back to the princess’s quarters. She waltzed inside in her room, throwing her veil and gloves onto a nearby chair. She flopped down on her large bed and breathed a heavy sigh.
The young prince moved to the side of her bed, lowering himself to sit down at her side. He smiled down at her and moved to brush some hair out of her face.
“Now, I believe that your servant has packed all of your belongings safely. In the morning, I will come and wake you up when it is time to start getting ready,” Thomas said.
The prince stood to his feet and looked down at the young woman. He reached down and cupped her face with his hand, holding it gently in his grasp. His lips curved into a soft smile as he gazed down into her beautiful eyes.
“Get some rest, my love. We have al long journey tomorrow,” Thomas said. He turned to leave and walk away, but the princess stopped him. She reached out and grabbed his wrist, stopping him from leaving her room. He looked back at her.
“Please stay with me,” the princess begged. Her voice was just below a whisper. She looked up at him with pleading eyes. The prince shook his head in denial, knowing it would be considered inappropriate to stay in an unmarried woman’s quarters for the night.
“You know I can’t,” Thomas said while shaking his head.
“Please,” she spoke softly. He couldn’t resist her big beautiful eyes begging him to stay with her. He dropped his head back and breathed a small sigh of defeat. She simply hoped he would stay for a little while.
“I’ll stay with you until you fall asleep,” Thomas concluded. The princess nodded her head and laid down in bed, bringing the covers over her shoulders. She snuggled in the warmth of the bed, closing her eyes in an attempt to fall asleep. The prince sat back down on the bed, playing with her hair to sooth her into a peaceful sleep.
As the prince was running his fingers through her long hair, the princess drifted into a calming sleep. Her pink lips parted softly as she breathed steadily. The prince smiled down at her. She was finally asleep.
The prince stood to his feet and looked down at her. He leaned down and pressed his lips against her head, kissing her goodnight. He walked towards the door of her quarters, opening the door to let himself out. The servant was waiting in the hallway. She needed to go back inside to help finish with the packing.
The prince raised his finger to his lip, mentally telling the servant to be extra quiet since the princess had just fallen asleep. The woman nodded her head understandingly. She tipped her head in acknowledgment before entering the quarters, closing the door behind her quietly.
The prince laced his arms behind his back before walking down the corridors of the palace. He walked back to his room, hoping he would get a good night’s rest before the long journey in the morning.
The bright morning sunlight streamed through the nearly empty palace, brightening even the darkest corner. The servants were rushing around the palace, packing away some last minute things before the royals were to leave the palace for a good long time. Some hall boys carried the heavy trunks down the stairs, bringing them outside to be tied to the back of the carriages.
The furniture in the palace was to stay there. The palace would be forgotten, abandoned in more specific cases. The king of the north believed it could be auctioned off to the highest bidder whether it be from a distant king or a king who lived in their midst. Nobody was to live in the palace at the time though.
Some of the servants were to move to the northern kingdom to be of service in the new palace. However, certain servants had to be let go due to the fact that the other palace already had someone to fill in their place. It was a saddening thought. Nevertheless, the princess gave each of them a good report so that they should have no trouble in finding some suitable work. They were grateful to say the least.
The two younger princes walked around the carriages. Technically, the engaged couple were not allowed to be in the same closed carriage, but they were allowed to if they had a chaperon with them. The eldest prince invited his two younger brothers to accompany them on the journey, essentially becoming their chaperons.
The other single carriage had been designated for the king. The other four carriages were for hauling the servants and their own personal belongings. More trunks would make the journey later in the week. They were not essential to make the first journey though.
“That’s the last of it,” one of the servants said, patting the side of the last trunk with his hand. The two young princes turned their heads and looked towards their older brother, wondering if he was about ready to leave.
“Thomas? Are we ready to depart?” Sam wondered.
“In a moment,” Thomas said with a small nod of the head. “I’ll be right back,” Thomas promised.
He turned around and walked towards the palace, entering through the grand doors. He tilted his head to the side as he caught side of his betrothed standing at the bottom of the staircase.
The princess was dressed in her traveling attire. Her long silver dress fitted her body nicely. The dark blue coat was wrapped tightly around her was it with a single black button holding it together near the neckline. The coat was long, the hem of the coat resting less than a foot higher than the dress itself. The princess wore a matching hard bonnet, secured underneath her chin with a big black bow. The black traveling gloves went no higher than her wrist, keeping her hands from getting dirty.
The princess had lifted her head and gazed at the tall ceilings of the palace. She reached forward and ran her hands over the polished railing to the stairs, thinking of all the memories she shared in the palace. This was her home. This was were she was raised.
“I was born here,” the princess said. She was admiring the beauty of the palace. The prince made sure to glance at some of his surroundings. “I thought that since I was born here, I would die here eventually,” the princess admitted.
“Times are changing,” Thomas said solemnly.
“Indeed, they are.” The princess turned around and looked up at the prince standing in front of her. His lips lifted into a weak smile, knowing that leaving the palace was not going to be easy for her. “But I am going someplace better,” the princess said with a short nod of the head.
The princess went to take a single step forward. Once they were close enough, the princess did not hesitate to grab his hand in her own. She brought it closer to herself, gripping it tightly. He looked down into her eyes.
“I am going to my new home where I will marry the man I love and where we will be able to raise a family together,” the princess said with a small smile on her face. The prince seemed to furrow his eyebrows together in slight confusion.
“You are not upset that you are leaving?” Thomas wondered.
“Why should I be? I have no future here, but I do have one with you. I don’t care where I am, just so long as I am with you,” the princess stated. Her lips curved into the most soft and sweet smile.
The prince couldn’t hid the smile on his face, mirroring her reaction. He dipped his head down so that their lips could brush together. He kissed her so softly and so lovingly.
“If you two are done sucking each others’ faces off,” a familiar voice said. The couple was quick to pull away from each other. The two of them almost glared at the young prince standing in the doorway. “The carriages are ready. We should get going if we are to reach the northern kingdom by nightfall,” Prince Harry suggested.
“We will be right there,” Thomas replied. The prince went to wrap his arm around the princess, pulling her into his side. He quickly glanced down at her. “Shall we go?” Thomas suggested.
“We shall,” the princess said with a broad smile on her face. The couple walked out of the palace, looking over their shoulder to make sure they remembered everything. They boarded the carriages, sitting right beside each other on the plush leather seats. The two chaperons went to sit across from them.
The two horses began pulling each carriage slowly, moving away from the grand entrance of the palace and trotting down the long gravel road. The princess leaned forward and looked around her lover beside her. She stole one last glance at the place she called home. Her fiancé gave her hand a small squeeze, mentally reassuring her that everything was going to be alright. She watched the palace become smaller and smaller until it disappeared from the distance.
“Goodbye,” whispered the princess.
The palace located in the northern kingdom was currently bustling with absolute chaos. There were servants hurrying around the place, carrying centerpieces and brand new folded linens. They were trying to get the palace prepared for the arrival of the new royal and future queen of that kingdom.
The current queen was the head of operations at the palace. Her three eldest sons had now been gone for nearly a year. The king had come back occasionally for business matters. However, it was essential that the eldest prince and the single princess be bound to the promise of matrimony before they were to return home. Now that it was settled and there was a ring on her finger, the princes were free to return back home and the princess would be coming with them.
Now Queen Nicola was ordering her servants around the palace, wanting everything to look absolutely perfect for the return of her boys. The maids were ordered to get the bedrooms ready, changing the sheets and opening the curtains. The hall boys were carrying and organizing the trunks that arrived earlier that day. The footmen were getting the dinning hall ready for lunch by setting out the finest china. The cooks were working diligently in order to get all the food ready.
The queen approached a tall wooden table near the entrance of the castle. She fussed with the bouquet of flowers sitting on top of the table, rearranging the bouquet to the best of her ability. She didn’t seem too happy with how it was looking.
“Everything seems to be in order, your Majesty.” The housekeeper announced. “Is there anything else you require?” She wondered.
“Do check the bedrooms. Make sure the maids got everything done,” Queen Nicola suggested.
“Of course,” the housekeeper quickly curtsied and dismissed herself from the queen’s company.
“Mama!” A small voice echoed through the large foyer of the palace. The queen immediately turned her head towards the grand staircase, spotting her youngest son standing at the top of the stairs.
“Yes, Paddy?” Queen Nicola called.
“When are they coming?” Paddy wondered. He began to run down the grand staircase, jumping to miss the last three steps. He landed so firmly on the ground that it made such a sound.
“My dear, how many times have I told you not to run down the stairs?” Queen Nicola wondered. She leaned down to be more at his height. She reached out to grab his arms in attempts to hold him still.
“Too many,” Paddy mumbled to himself.
“Exactly,” Queen Nicola pointed out. “They should be here any minute.”
As if on command, the sound of horses trotting along the gravel pathway and the sound of the carriage being pulling streamed in the distance. The carriages had finally arrived at the castle after spending hours on the road.
“They’re here! They’re here!” Paddy called loudly. He pulled himself out of his mother’s grasp, hurrying towards the front door to meet his three elder brothers and his father.
The queen quickly ordered all of the servants back into the main foyer of the palace. She had them line up and stand at attention to greet the royals from their journey. The butler and housekeeper stood near the entrance since they were basically in charge of all the servants.
By the time the first carriage pulled up, Paddy was already reaching to pull open the door. He was basically bouncing on the heels of his feet, watching Sam and Harry get out of the carriage. He was immediately taken into his two elder brother’s arms. They put him in a headlock and rubbed his hair violently.
Behind them, Thomas stepped out of the carriage. He lifted his head to glance at the place he called home. He smiled to himself for he felt so relieved to finally be home after so many long months. He was quick to turn back towards the carriage, offering his hand to his now fiancée.
The princess gladly took his hand so she could step out of the carriage. She took her time to admire the beauty of the palace, feeling a broad smile stretching across her face.
The king made his way to the grand open doors of the palace. He went to greet his wife by giving her a solid kiss on the lips. His twin boys came up behind him. They both went to kiss their mother on the cheek to greet her. She cooed at both of them for she was thrilled that her boys were home. She fussed over them and insisted that they had gotten taller, which they reassured her that they hadn’t.
After the little family reunion, Queen Nicola finally turned to look at her eldest son and his soon to be wife. She was quick to step forward and grabbed the young princess’s hands. She took her time to admire her.
“You must be Y/N,” Queen Nicola concluded with a broad smile on her face.
“Your majesty,” the princess said. She did not hesitate to curtsey while bowing her head in respect.
“I’ve heard so many great things about you from Thomas’s letters,” Queen Nicola said. “And I am so pleased to finally have another woman in the palace. I find that I am always outnumbered,” Queen Nicola chuckled.
The princess also seemed to laugh at her comment. It was quite understandable since the queen had four sons of her own and not one single daughter. She would soon have her very own daughter-in-law and the queen was quite elated.
“Now, let me introduce you to the servants.” Queen Nicola shifted to stand beside the princess, lacing her arm together with hers. “These are all the servants. They will be of service to you. Anything you need, you just ask them,” Queen Nicola gestured to all the servants.
The women who were servants curtsied and the men who were servants bowed their heads in respect to the princess. The princess acknowledged them with a small nod of the head. She sent them all a warm smile.
“Well, we should get you settled in. You must be exhausted from your journey,” Queen Nicola added. At this point, the conversation didn’t seem to be anywhere near close to an end. The queen was simply delighted.
“I am a little tired,” the princess confessed.
“Very well. You shall rest before we are summoned for dinner,” Queen Nicola said with a firm nod of the head. “Once you are all settled in, then we can talk about wedding planning,” Queen Nicola sent her a small wink.
The queen began to lead their new guest towards the grand staircase with the desire to bring her to her new room. The eldest prince was left to stand in the middle of the foyer. He turned to glance at some of his familiar surroundings. He took a deep breath. It felt so good to be home.

Why I Stopped Writing:
Many of you know me as webslingerholland. My tumblr page was very popular from 2016-2018. My best stories were Baby Holland and The Royal Family. I wrote for Tom Holland, Peter Parker, Harrison Osterfield, Sam Holland, and Harry Holland. I had millions of followers and thousands of likes on each post.
It wasn’t until October 15, 2018 that it all went downhill. My life changed dramatically to the point we’re I was forced to leave my home. It was a painful time for me. I was full of anger and frustration. And I made the mistake of deleting my tumblr and all my stories on it. To this day, this has been my biggest regret.
I wish I kept those stories. I wish I kept those memories. I wish I could reread all the comments. I wish I could remember my followers. I wish I could turn to my inbox to see my latest messages from fans. I wish…I wish…I wish.
But I can’t. It’s gone now.
I came back in 2020. I made a new account under the same username. Some of the original creators found me again. Some of my old followers were still around. I found that a lot of people had been asking about me over the years. I can’t justify why I deleted everything. There is no excuse. And I seriously regret it.
I started rewriting my stories, occasionally finding some copyrighted versions on different platforms. I was doing well again until…
I met someone.
We started seeing each more often and we started dating a couple months later. I was finally happy again. I didn’t need to turn to my writing to find happiness. I found it with him. And so I stopped writing. I still have my account here. I might even still add to it from time to time. I might come back to write stories again. I might do a lot of things.
Last Friday was the three year anniversary of the worst day of my life. I was feeling really low, but my boyfriend had the whole day planned out to keep my mind off the bad memories. And at the end of the day, he got down on one knee and proposed to me. I obviously said yes.
I’ll never close the door to tumblr. I’ll always leave it open for the possibilities. I actually am still writing on Wattpad. I’ve found a lot of joy in that because I originally started on that platform. What’s important to know is that im still here. I still open the app every day. I just don’t post stories anymore…at least, not right now.
But I’m happy. I have someone who makes me happy. I’m doing well in college. I’ve gotten closer to my family. I’m getting married in the spring. It’s a good life.
And so I write this as a little life update. I doubt many people will read it. I don’t think I have as many followers as I did back in the day. But to those who do still follow me and check up on me, this was for you.
Thank you for everything. Thank you for the love. Thank you for the comments. Thank you for the likes. Thank you for the follows. Thank you for making me happy for so many years. I appreciate everything you did for me. I love you so much!

MASTERLIST
The lingering light was obliterated by the rapidly falling night. A canopy of luminous stars materialized amongst the ocean of blackness. Some were dull, merely flickering into existence now and then, but there was an adequate amount of shimmering stars to illuminate the dark, moonless night.
The lake glistened, mirroring the dazzling assemblage of glittering stars and the luminescence from the small houses in the villages across the land. The faint wind brushed against the water's surface, the ripples ruffled the stillness of the surface, and shattered the reflection of the harbor.
The entire royal family was fast asleep, laying in their comfortable beds with their heads resting against the soft feather pillows. One tiresome soul was tossing and turning in his sleep, feelings sudden pain of discomfort in his chest.
The King of the East slowly leaned forward, sitting up in his bed. He swung his legs over the side of the bed and placed his hands on the mattress, staying completely still for one moment. He closed his eyes and groaned to himself, wincing in an uncomfortable pain. He reached up and placed his fingers against his chest, pressing against his throbbing heart.
The king slowly stood to his feet, placing his hand on the side table for support. A tingling sensation coursed through his veins, briefing numbing his arms. He grunted in pain, pressing deeper into his chest in hopes to relieve himself of some pain.
The king turned his head and grabbed the small glass of water on his side table. His old and wrinkled hands wrapped around the dainty little cup, bringing it towards his chapped lips. He could feel the fresh and cool water dripping down his throat, relieving himself of the dryness.
When the king set down his empty cup, he couldn't help but look at his wrinkly hands. He turned them over and examined his palms. He breathed a small sigh. The king was getting older and older every day. It was only a matter of time before...
The king closed his eyes, pushing the negative thoughts into the back of his head. He laid back down in bed, pulling the covers over his body again. He stared at the ceiling and shook his head slightly. He didn't want to think about the possibilities of one's life ending shortly. He had to force himself to think more positive. He needed to make the best of these last few days he had on earth. He had to make the most of his time.
His mind drifted to his daughter, thinking about the events that would happen if he were to die soon. She would most likely have to move to the southern kingdom. She would be forced to live with her future-in-laws. She would have to live in a foreign place without any help or assistance. He closed his eyes because he couldn’t bare to think about all the changes she would endure within the next couple weeks. He could only pray that the good lord didn’t take him instantly.
The king secretly wished that his parting would be painless; that the king of the heavens would take his soul as he slept peacefully in his bed. He was afraid of death. He didn’t want to leave this cruel world for the sake of the only family he had left which was his own daughter. He didn’t want to leave her, but he knew that he would have to soon enough. Little did the king know, death would be knocking on his door much sooner than he would have ever expected...
The young princess was currently seated in her father's chambers, gazing at her father as he looked at himself in the mirror. He reached up and straightened his royal attire, fitting it to his liking. Three servants crowded around him, stitching and sewing the new fabric together to the exact specifications.
"It will be any day now," the king of the east said, smiling widely.
The young princess looked up at him, furrowing her eyebrows in contusion. The king gazed into the mirror, looking at his daughter with teasing eyes. Her shoulders slumped slightly, lazily glaring at the king.
"Pretty soon," the king said, nodding his head. "The prince of the north will be getting down on one knee for you," the king said, stepping down from his high place. He turned around and walked towards his desk, grabbing a few documents.
The princess looked down at her hands, hiding the evident blush creeping onto her face. The king turned his head and looked at her, smiling softly at her sheepish demeanor.
"Afterwards, the prince will most likely have to change his title to the king of the north. I suppose you'll have to move to the southern kingdom with your new spouse," the king added. The princess slowly lifted her head, looking her father with saddened eyes. "There...you can raise a family together."
"Let's not get ahead of ourselves, papa." The princess said, standing to her feet. "He hasn't even proposed yet," she said with a gentle smile on her face. She took a few steps forward and reached out, grabbing her father's old hands in her own.
The king tilted his head to the side, gazing* his daughter with loving and caring eyes. He shook his head in disbelief. He chuckled softly to himself, wishing he was dreaming. He no longer saw his little girl. She was a young woman know who would most likely be engaged in a few short days. He couldn't believe his eyes.
"My..." the king's voice trailed off. He raised one of his wrinkled hands towards her face, cupping it gently. The tears were forming in his eyes, threatening to fall at any moment. You are looking more and more like your mother with each passing day. My little girl is all grown up now. She's not a little girl anymore; she is a woman. She won't need me anymore."
“You know that's not true, papa. You've helped me in more ways than one. I don't know what I would do without you,” the princess said, shaking her head slightly. “A-And I am sure I can visit you. We might be able to come here in the summers or winters. That way, we would be able to see each other at least twice a year. That wouldn’t be so bad.”
The king looked down as the tears streamed down his face, dripping onto the floor. He slowly nodded his head understandingly. The princess's eyes softened as she looked at her broken father. She reached forward and wrapped her arms around his large and round figure, hugging him tightly.
The king closed his eyes as the tears streamed down his face. He buried his face in her, soft hair, breathing in the sweet scent of wild daisies. He couldn't help suppress the growing smile on his face.
“The prince is a good man. He will take care of you, and he will love you. He will keep you safe," the king whispered in her ear. The princess smiled to herself.
“I know,” the princess said, nodding her head in agreement.
The princess's little hands rubbed up and down his back reassuringly, soothing him into a form of contentment. They simply held onto each other for a few moments, savoring the sweet time they had together as father and daughter. It very well could have been their last.
The young prince was seated at his writing desk, scribbling on a piece of paper. He raised to paper upwards and looked at the words. After reading, he shook his head in disapproval. He crumpled the paper in his hands, tossing it aside. He pulled out a fresh piece of paper, starting over.
"My dearest Y/N," the prince said aloud, writing the words neatly on the paper. "From the moment I first met you, I...knew there was something special about you. You make my heart flutter with joy. Your smile brightens my day. My love for you is unconditional and everlasting. Would you...do me the honor...of becoming...my wife?"
The poor boy had been practicing his long speech from the moment they started their courtship. He probably went through at least a million sheets of parchment, perfecting and correcting the speech to his own liking.
He didn't want to come off as a cheesy romantic with his silly little words. He wanted this moment to be perfect. However, from the way his speech was turning out, he was beginning to doubt himself.
"You make my heart flutter with joy," Thomas repeated, pondering the words for a moment before shaking his head. "No, that sounds too cliche." He crumbled the paper into a small ball, tossing it.
The prince fiddled with his pen, dipping it into the small or of black ink. He leaned forward and placed his elbow on his writing desk, settling his chin into the palm of his hand. He pursed his lips together in thought.
"What to say?" He whispered to himself.
The prince thought long and hard, running over a million different instances on how to express his true feelings to the love of his life. He started smiling to himself, imagining how happy they would be it she accepted his proposal.
Suddenly, a thought entered his mind. He furrowed his eyebrows and straightened his back in posture. He shook his head, hoping to deny himself from the negative thoughts.
What if she said no?
However, the prince's father and brothers walked into the room before he could pursue the question further. He shook his mind free of the negative thoughts, throwing a fake smile on his face as he looked at his small family.
Prince Sam walked towards the lounge chair, flopping down on it. He lifted his book towards himself, burying his time into the book. Prince Harry strutted over towards his older brother, grabbing a nearby chair. He swung the chair around and sat down, pushing his chest into the back of the chair. He folded his arms over the back of the chair, leaning forward.
The king of the north walked towards the window, putting his hands behind his back as he stared out the window. His oldest son looked up, gazing at his father from across the room. He picked up some papers, pretending to be focused on something work related instead of having to listen to his brother’s taunting voice. He ruffled the papers around in his hands, trying to distract himself.
"You’ll have to propose," the king of the north said, keeping his gaze on the outside gardens. The young prince did not look up, but he nodded his head in agreement.
"I know," Thomas said.
The king turned his head and looked at his son with concerned eyes. The young prince quickly turned his head, diverting his gaze back to the blank paper in front of him. He cleared his throat awkwardly before speaking up.
"I am working on it," Thomas explained.
"Do know have any idea what you are planning on saying to her? Do you have a little speech prepared? Are you going to take her someplace special? Are you going to get down on one knee or are you going to ask her standing up?" Harry's questions were flying out of his mouth at a rapid pace.
“I-I don’t know. Maybe,” Thomas said, shaking his head slightly.
The king of the north walked around the room, kneeling down to grab the crumpled pieces of paper. He unraveled one and tilted his head to the side, reading the small speech. He raised his eyebrows in surprise. His son's writing wasn't so bad.
"Why are you not using these drafts?" The king asked, lifting the crumpled piece of paper. The young prince sunk back into his seat, feeling the heat burning his cheeks a vibrant red. He didn't say anything fore moment.
"I-I don't want to use those," Thomas said, stumbling over his words.
"And why not?"
"They are not that good. When I propose to her, I want to be able to speak from my heart. I want to speak freely to her. I want to express my thoughts and feelings without any difficulty. It’s best that I just don’t write it down,” Thomas said, fiddling with his hands.
The haunting thought came back to him, making him feel sick to his stomach. The one syllable word with only two letters was his one big fear. He wouldn't be able to bear hearing that word escape through her lips after he would ask herthe most important question in his life. The word...
No
The young prince grabbed his small pen, twisting it between his fingers. He could barely look into his father's worried and concerned eyes. The probability of rejection was just as equal as the probability of acceptance. The thought of rejection scared the young prince.
"I-I am afraid that proposing is not going to be so easy," Thomas said, stuttering. The king stepped forward and furrowed his eyes together in confusion, tilting his head to the side.
“Why is that?”
"B-Be...Because I am not sure she will say yes," the prince said. He could feel the hot tears filling his eyes, threatening to fall at any given moment. He clutched onto his little pen tightly, holding it close to him.
"But at least you will know that if she says yes, it will be with her heart. You will never know until you ask her, Thomas." The king of the north said, tilting his head to the side. His eyes were filled with love for his eldest son.
The king raised his hand into the air, summoning his other two children. They scurried to their feet, following their father. The king looked over his shoulder, gazing at his eldest son one last time before they exited the room. They left the room and closed the door behind them, leaving the young prince to his own troubling thoughts.
The prince walked through the hallways of the palace, looking for one of his brothers. He rounded the corner and nearly collided with the king of the east. The old man grunted slightly, startled in the young prince’s sudden appearance. The prince’s eyes widened in realization.
“Oh! Your Majesty, I am so sorry,” Thomas said, stumbling over his words. He reached out and touched the king’s arm, making sure the elderly man wasn’t too startled. He hoped he hadn’t given him a heart attack. The older man placed his hand on his heart, feeling the sudden pain return. “I am so sorry. Are you hurt?”
"No, i-it's nothing,” the king said, shaking his head in denial. "I was actually coming to find you. I would like for you to give these invitations to your family members. We will be hosting a ball this next upcoming week, and you are all invited," the king said with a proud smile on his face.
The prince took the four small invitations into his hands, reading the titles of names on each one. "Thank you, sir. Might I ask for what occasion?" The prince tilted his head to the side in confusion.
The corners of the kings' lips tugged into a smile. "I think you know the occasion," the king said, smiling uncontrollably. Thomas could feel the blood rushing to his head, the heat warming his cheeks.
"I-It wouldn't happen to be an engagement party, would it?" The prince asked, almost afraid of the answer. The king nodded his head in confirmation. The prince closed his eyes, mentally cursing to himself.
"I wanted to give you this," the king said, reaching into his pocket and grabbing something. He pulled out a small velvet box, opening it up to showcase a priceless diamond ring.
The prince gingerly reached forward and grabbed the box in his hands, examining the breath-taking ring. "I-I don't know what to say. It's beautiful," Thomas said, shaking his head.
"It was her mother's ring," the king stated. "Her mother wanted me to give it to her the day she got engaged. My little girl used to gaze and admire that ring, fiddling with it on her mother's dainty little finger. I think...she secretly hoped it would be her's one day. I want that to come true.”
Carefully, Thomas closed the little ring box and held it in his hands. He pursed his lips together in thought He turned his head and looked at the king with worried eyes. He breathed a nervous sigh.
"I hope to be a good husband to her," Thomas said, nodding his head. The king reached forward and placed his hand on the boy's shoulder, smiling at him reassuringly.
"You will be," the king said, reassuring the boy not to be so nervous. The corners of the prince's lips lifted into a small smile. His brow was wrinkled because he was still afraid of the possibility of rejection. "She thinks very highly of you," the king stated.
"Really?" Thomas asked, looking at the king with a surprised expression. The king nodded his head slowly, confirming his little question. The prince looked down at the ring box in his hands, moving it around slightly.
"She talks about you as if you put the stars in the sky," the king said, smiling profoundly. The prince looked down at his feet, feeling the heat rising to his cheeks for about the hundredth time that day. "You are a good man, Thomas."
The prince lifted his head, gazing at his future father-in-law. The corner of his lips tugged into a brief smile for the next moment; it disappeared entirely. He moved the little box around in his hands again.
"I know you will take very good care of my daughter. I want you both to know that I am very proud of you. You have made my little girl very happy, and for that, I am forever grateful. Thank you," the king said.
The prince couldn't seem to form any words. He pushed his lips into his mouth and gazed down at his feet, nodding his head in acceptance. The king reached out and patted the young prince’s shoulder. The king stepped forward, walking down the hallways of the palace.
The prince turned his head to look over the small stretch of his shoulder, watching the king’s retreating figure. The king had lifted his hand to touch his chest, pushing slightly to relieve the pain. He grunted to himself, hoping and praying that the pain in his chest would go away. He pushed a little harder, successfully relieving himself of the pain.
The night of the grand ball, the princess was standing in front of the mirror in nothing but her corset. The servant was kneeling behind her, tugging at the strings tighter and tighter. The woman breathed a small gasp as the forest tightened around her waist. As the corset was tied off, the princess looked at herself in the mirror.
The servant stood to her feet and approached a chair, grabbing the princess' light pink ballgown. She turned around and carried the dress back towards the princess, slipping it over her head. The servant walked around the princess, fitting the dress around her small body nicely.
"Tell me something," the princess said, furrowing her eyebrows together. "Do you...do you think the prince handsome?"
In response, the servant looked up and shrugged hershoulder in defeat. She went back to fitting the dress around the princess's frame. "I-It's not in my place to say, your highness."
"I am asking you," the princess defended. The servant pursed her lips together in thought, wondering if she should freely speak her mind in front of the royals. She lifted her head, meeting the princess's stare in the mirror. She swallowed the nervous lump in her throat.
“Then...” the servant’s voice trailed off. “Yes. He is very handsome.”
The princess's lips lifted into a smile. She turned her head and looked at herself in the mirror, smoothing her hands over her pink dress. She tilted her head to the side as her smile left her face.
"Do...do you think he might propose tonight?" She asked.
"One could only hope, your highness." The servant said. The princess stepped off her stand and walked towards her vanity, sitting down properly. The servant walked towards her and grabbed her brush, working it through the princess's long hair.
"I will never forget the moment I fell in love with him," the princess said, sighing with a smile on her face. The servant briefly looked up before grabbing a few silver pins, placing them in her hair to hold it up. "A few months ago, I sprained my ankle."
"I remember."
"The prince carried me over the threshold. He carried me effortlessly throughout the palace, insisting that he escorted me to my room. I had grown to like him a lot, but it was in that moment thati truly knew...that I loved him," the princess added.
"You must be very happy," the servant said.
"I am," the princess replied, nodding her head in agreement. She stood to her feet as soon as her hair was fixed. She walked towards hertable, grabbing a few white daisies and placing them in her hair.
The princess turned around and looked at herself in the mirror. Her hands smoothed over her dress, wringing out any wrinkles or creases. Her soft pink lips lifted into a gentle smile. She turned her body towards the door and opened it, leaving her chambers behind.
The servant smiled to herself as she watched the princess leave the room. She reached down and grabbed one of the little daisies on the table. She brought it to her nose and inhaled its sweet scent. She gently placed the flower in her hair, feeling like a little princess herself.
The grand music streamed throughout the entire ballroom. The room was nearly full of guests from across the land, arranging from friends and family. The beautiful arrange of different colored dresses swung around the room in tune with the music, dancing with their partners.
Some people stood off the to side, watching the younger people dance with a kick in their step. The rich champagne was passed around the room on silver platters from the servants, offering each guest a glass.
As the music dialed down and the song ended, the princess looked down at the small tag attached to her wrist. She narrowed her eyes, reading off the next person she was supposed to dance with. She looked around the room before spotting a tall man walking towards her; her partner for the next dance. She politely curtsied, and he bowed his head in response.
The music started up, the violins and flutes singing their own little tunes happily. The people danced in time with the music, swaying around with their partner. As they held each other for the dance, the man couldn't help but drink in the princess's breath-taking appearance.
On more than one occasion, the perverted man looked down at the princess's cleavage, sneaking a little peek. His one wrapped tightly around her waist, pulling her closer to his chest. The princess was more than uncomfortable in this situation. His breath reeked of the alcohol that lingered on his lips. ››
The prince could not keep his eyes off the young princess. Though he wanted to spend time with her, he had not reserved a dance with his lover. Not even one.
The various people crowding the room, talked amongst themselves. They were mostly talking about the young couple, spreading gossip and talking nonsense with each other.
The two kings turned their heads and looked at the prince who was staring at his lover from across the room. The king of the east smiled to himself, looking at his future son-in-law. He nodded his head in approval.
"He is such a fine looking boy," the king said, shaking his head in disbelief.
"Yes, he is," the prince's father said, nodding his head in agreement. The man couldn't help but smile, gazing at his eldest child with the utmost pride swelling in his heart.
Some eldedy ladies were standing across the room, whispering amongst themselves about the young prince. The three ladies leaned closer together, talking of nothing but pure gossip.
"Do you see how he is gazing at her?" One of the duchesses said with a giddy smile on her old face. The two other ladies nodded their heads in agreement.
"What is he gazing at though? Is he gazing at a princess or a future spouse?" The other elderly woman said. The ladies chatted amongst themselves, talking about the prince and the princess.
The prince watched from afar, observing each dance carefully. He narrowed his eyes suspiciously, looking at the perverted man trying to get under the princess's skirt. But he wouldn't have that happen.
"The princess looks uncomfortable," a woman said, whispering to her friend. The prince turned his head slightly, listening in on their private conversation. The other woman nodded her head, stuffing a little cake into her mouth in the process.
“She has a courter. Why is she dancing with all these men then?" The other woman asked, shaking her head and eating another little cake happily. The woman shrugged her shoulders in defeat.
"It's not required that she dance with her courter for every dance. She can dance with anyone she likes. I have heard that the prince of the south was supposed to propose tonight," the woman gossiped.
"Really? That can't be!"
"It's true. I heard it from the king myself," the lady said, lying to her friend's face. "Personally, I think that the prince backed out of the proposal. He got cold feet, and he decided that he wasn't going to ask her after all. That's why he isn't dancing with her. He probably doesn't even love her anymore," the lady said, scoffing slightly.
The prince clenched his fists in anger, spinning around to glare at the two women. The ladies froze in their place, seeing the young prince standing before them. Thier mouth's dropped open, and their eyes widened in disbelief.
“Y-Your Highness,” they said, simultaneously curtsying. They kept their heads low for they were ashamed to even look the royal in the eye. The man gritted his teeth together before speaking to them.
“You...have no idea how much I love that woman,” the prince said angrily.
“O-Of course, your highness. W-We were foolish to think otherwise. We do apologize,” one of the ladies said, fumbling over her words. She nudged the other woman in the stomach.
“Y-Yes. We do apologize,” the other one said.
"I do not want to see you two ever again. Begone with you," the prince said, throwing his hand into the air. The two ladies were quietly escorted out of the palace by the guards, never to set foot in it again.
The prince turned around and looked at his lover, making sure she was still there. In response, Thomas's eyes nearly popped out of his head at the sight before him. He clenched his fists together upon seeing the strange man with his grubby hands all over the princess.
Suddenly, the man's hand sneaked a little lower than need be. He was nearly groping at the princess's arse. The prince could hear a number of women gasping in disbelief around him, saying that the strange man's actions were quite scandalist.
The princess's eyes widened in lean She squirmed around in the mans embrace, desperate to get away from him. He squeezed her tighter, pulling a small yelp out of her.
That was his breaking point. The prince charged up towards the man and placed his hand on his shoulder, pulling him away from the princess. He stumbled back slightly, clearly drunk out of his mind.
The music slowly dialed down. An awkward silence stretched throughout the room with all eyes on the little accident. The prince looked around before nodding his head at some guards. They walked towards them, bowing their heads politely.
"I want you to escort this man out of the palace," Thomas said quietly so nobody could hear him. The two guards nodded their heads and stepped forward, grabbing the strange man. They dragged him away from the party, forcing him to leave the palace for good.
The man argued with the guards, saying that he was a duke of the west and that they had no right to throw him out. The guards ignored his ranting nonsense and forcefully shoved him out of the grand palace.
A soft, familiar tune streamed through the air as the musicians started playing a waltz. The prince quickly stepped forward, looking at his lover with concerned eyes. She placed her hand on his arm, smiling at him reassuringly.
"Are you alright? Did he hurt you?" The prince asked.
"No, I am fine. Thanks to you," the princess said. Their lips tugged into a smile. The prince looked down at his feet, contemplating whether or not he should ask her to dance with him.
"May I have the pleasure?" Thomas asked, reaching out a hand. The princess looked down at her small tag before looking around the room. She nodded her head hesitantly, making sure nobody was suppose to dance with her.
“I believe this one is free,” she said.
The princess reached out and took hold of the prince's hand. He led hertowards the center of the room, wrapping his arm around her waist and slowly pulling her closer into his embrace. Their hands entwined together. His other hand rested on her hip while her other hand rested on his shoulder. They swayed to the music.
"You dance beautifully," Y/N said, furrowing her eyebrows in slight confusion. She didn't know that he could dance, let alone very good. They swayed in tune with the music, dancing with each other happily.
"I think...before...l was afraid," Thomas admitted. His voice was low and deep, coming out in a whisper. The princess furrowed her eyebrows together in confusion, looking at the prince questionably.
"Afraid?"
"I was afraid of humiliating myself in front of you. I didn't want to step on your little toes,” he whispered, leaning closer. “Sometimes...it can be hard to find the right rhythm, but not with you.”
“Thomas,” the princess whispered.
“Come with me,” the prince said, pulling away from her. He reached out and offered his hand which she gladly took hold of. The prince led the princess away from the party, leaving the palace to go and walk through the gardens.
"Where are we going?" The princess asked, feeling the darkness surround her. He pulled her through the gardens until they came across the fountain. They turned their heads and looked at the palace from afar. Nobody seemed to notice their sudden disappearance. "What are we doing out here?"
"There is something I need to ask you Thomas said. The princess placed her hands on her ones, hoping to bring herself some form of warmth. Her lips parted slightly.
"I...I-I...I-I..." the prince couldn't seem to form any words. His breath had caught in his throat, preventing him from speaking another word. He thought fore moment, collecting his words.
Instinctively, Thomas reached forward and cupped Y/N's face in his hands. He quickly leaned down and smashed his lips against hers. She stumbled back, taken back slightly by his sudden actions.
Slowly, she melted into the kiss. She reached up and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer. His arms laced around her waist, holding her against his body. He tilted his head to the side, deepening their connection.
When they pulled apart, the princess panted heavily in hopes to regain her breath. The prince leaned forward, pressing his head against hers. He stared at her lips, thinking of how badly he wanted to kiss her lips again.
"I love you."
Those three little words effortlessly rolled off his tongue. The princess pulled away from him, staring up at him with disbelief. Her lips were slightly parted. She blinked a few times, pondering his words.
"W-What?" Her voice quivered.
"I love you," he said. His voice did not waver once. It was steady, solid. He looked her straight in the eyes. He wasn't lying at all. He meant it. He really did love her with all of his heart
The salty tears streamed in the princess's eyes. A small smile stretched across her face. "I love you too," she said. The prince lifted his head and looked at her surprised.
"You do?"
"Yes," the princess said, nodding her head. The prince reached forward and cupped her face in his hands, feeling the tears begin to fill his eyes. His tears blurred and clouded his vision, but he needed to speak his mind.
"When I say I love you more, I do not mean I love you more than you love me. I mean I love you more than the bad days ahead of us. I love you more than any fight we will ever have. I love you more than the distance between us. I love you more than any obstacle that could try and come between us. I love you with my whole heart," the prince said, looking her in the eyes.
"Thomas," she said with a broad smile on her face. The tears in her eyes streamed down her face, dripping onto the flooring beneath them. The prince shook his head, silencing her with a simple gesture. He wasn't done yet.
"Ever since I met you, nobody else is worth thinking about. I always think of you before I fall asleep. The words you have said, the way you looked. The things we laughed about, the silent moments we shared together. And when I dream, I dream of you. Because its about you. It has always been about you,” Thomas added.
The smile on her face only grew with each words corning out of his mouth. He used his thumb to wipe away her happy tears. She reached up and grasped onto his wrist, holding it in place as he continued speaking.
"I may not get to see you as often as I like. I may not get to hold you in my arms all through the night. But deep in my heart, I truly know you're the one that I love. You are the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. And I can't let you go because I love you with all my heart," he said.
The princess closed her eyes, pushing the tears down her face. The prince dipped his head down and looked her in the eyes as soon as she opened them again. He smiled down at her.
"Something tells me that I am going to love you forever. I don't think I will ever stop loving you. You are my future. You are my life now. A-And I want to spend the rest of my life with you,” he said.
Slowly, the prince lowered himself to the floor, getting down on one knee. The princess smiled uncontrollably, holding his hands in her own. The prince reached into his pocket and pulled out the black velvet box, holding it in front of her. He opened the box, drawing a small gasp from her lips.
"Thomas!"
She had recognized the ring. Her eyes were wide, and her mouth was slightly open, staring at the ring with disbelief. The prince smiled at her little reaction, finding it the cutest thing on earth.
"Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"
The princess nodded her head in response. The tears were effortlessly streaming down her face for she almost couldn't control herself. "Yes," she said happily. The prince straightened his back in posture upon hewing her positive response.
“Come here, darling.”
The princess moved slightly, sitting down on his perched knee. He carefully pulled the ring out the box before sliding it onto her dainty little finger. She covered her mouth, admiring the ring's stunning beauty. It was a perfect fit.
The young woman turned her head and wrapped her arms around the were neck, pressing her lips against his. She was still crying out of pure joy and happiness. They pulled away from each other. She rested her newly dassled hand on his chest, staring into his chocolate brown eyes.
"I love you,' she whispered.
"I love you," the prince said. They wrapped their arms around each other's figure, holding one another dose to their bodies. They buried their faces into the crook of each other's neck, breathing in their intoxicating scent. They stayed there for what seemed like an eternity, embracing each other like a lifeline. What a way to end the night...
The celebration had ended hours ago. The young couple finally showed up near the end. They walked towards the front of the room and gathered everyone's attention, publicly announcing their engagement. The people were beyond thrilled, expressing their congratulations throughout the rest of the night.
A few hours later, the guests had left the palace. The servants were currently cleaning up the mess downstairs while the royals were all fast asleep in their own cozy beds. The night was quiet, peaceful, tranquil.
The king of the north felts sudden tight pain in his chest, stronger than ever before. He gasped for air, clutching his chest in attempts to relieve himself of the unbearable pain. The pain was overwhelming, draining the king's life.
The elderly man wheezed for air as he slowly lost feeling in his body. A final breath escaped his lips before the pain came to a halting stop. The king's eyes were wide open, staring at the ceiling of his chambers. The life drained from his eyes. His soul had left his body in the most painful way possible. He didn't think that death would be knocking on his door to soon. The king of the north was dead. He only wished he had said goodbye...

The spring day opens with the same gentle pace as the new blooms. The winter time had passed in its somber majesty. It had only brought skies of richly marbled greys and trees so elegant in their bare beauty. Those cold days for calmness and reflection are waning now. And a new spring energy will rise.
The blossom arrives like cake frosting on the trees in delicious creams and pinks. The petals burst out from lower down the branches, leaving the tips still in tight bud. The evergreens and spruces scented the air with their new growth. The trees had almost looked like dancing ladies. They wore dresses of different shades of green dresses which were more fabulous than any designer could craft. They would move in perfect harmony with each other, choreographed by the gentle breeze.
The eastern palace had been frantically scurrying around the place to clean up the last minute touches. The servants had been working all day to prepare for the garden party that would take place in the late afternoon. The gardeners had to make sure that the royal garden looked its absolute best for that special day.
The gardener (who was a little old man) had spent the whole last week working diligently on the gardens himself. He liked to shape the trees to his liking with his clippers. He groomed the bunches of flowers with his bare hand, occasionally sending some to the palace for the princess. He was also able to clean the fountain from the last winter. Now the garden would be the prime and perfect centerpiece for the garden party.
The grand tent had been set up to linger underneath some trees. The footmen had been ordered to carry the various tables and chairs out to the tent for set up. The maids would organize the tables and chairs to their liking. They placed the white lace tablecloths on top of the small white circular tables.
The ladies that worked in the kitchens were carrying out the fine china dishes. They were also starting to bring out the food that they would serve at the garden party. The little fluffy sandwiches would be served on the silver platters for it would be the main course. There were breads and biscuits that were practically tumbling over the sides of the wicker baskets on the wood table. There were small bowls of various fruits on the side, drizzled with a teaspoon of sugar. And there was one particular thing that would be a grand surprise.
A few small kettles of water were placed on the table to make warm tea. The little teabags were neatly ordered in little rows, showcasing the number of different flavors. And a little bowl of sugar was placed beside the warm kettles for a little added sweetening.
There were beautiful crystal glass pitches filled to the brim with pink lemonade. The ice buckets would come out later, so that the lemonade could be served with ice cubes for the guests. There were also a few bottles of champagne for the gentleman that didn’t really care for lemonade. There were pitchers of nice cold milk that would be served to the children. There were beads of water running down the sides of the glasses due to the cold liquid within the pitcher.
The princess of the east would be hosting her first garden party. She had spent the last couple weeks sending out invitations, choosing the foods that would be served, and organizing the decorations to her liking. She was beyond overwhelmed when the day had actually arrived.
She was telling the servants to do this and that. She had changed her mind in regards to the champagne. She found herself rearranging the setting on the guest list for the millionth time. She also made a grand request the day prior. She wanted there to be chocolate at the garden party (which was hard to come by).
The good news concerning the young couple’s courtship had rapidly spread throughout the entire kingdom. The servants whispered amongst themselves. Many of them were placing bets on the date that the royal couple would be engaged and married. The entire royal family was beyond thrilled with the news, expressing their sincere congratulations to the young couple. This garden party would be to celebrate their newfound courtship.
The three princes had found themselves walking amongst the preparation of the party in the front yard. The three of them did not pay any mind to the servants scurrying around them, frantically trying to make the last minute adjustments. They would settle their gazes on the young princess who was growing more stressed with each passing moment.
"Tell me, dear brother," Harry said with an evident smirk plastered on his face. He turned his head to look at his older brother standing beside him, tilting his head to gesture towards the princess in the short distance. "Have you kissed her yet?" Harry wondered.
"That is none of your business," Thomas said. He had been quick to avert his gaze, choosing to pretend to be focused on something else instead of having to listen to his brother’s taunting voice. Though he could feel the heat rising to his cheeks, he couldn't suppress the smile from growing on his lips. This would give away any secrecy in the matter.
"Oh...so you have kissed her,” Harry concluded. He could see the evident blush on his brother’s cheeks. He would only raise his eyebrows in amusement, chuckling to himself at the notion. "My brother has had his first kiss,” Harry exclaimed a little too loud for his brother’s liking.
In the background, the prince’s personal assistant was making sure to linger behind them. He had turned his head to search some of his surroundings, watching the servants scurry around with keen eyes. His baby blue eyes would settle on this young servant carrying a bundle of neatly folded lace tablecloths. He could have sworn he had never seen anyone more beautiful in his life.
In that give moment, the princess was fussing over this beautiful bouquet of flowers in the center of the table. She had taken one single step backwards to admire her work. She almost wondered if she had picked the right china dishes or if she should send for the other one. She just couldn’t think straight.
“You look stressed,” Thomas called. He had taken a few steps forward in his place, leaving his two brothers and personal assistant behind. He had grown to know her well over the past few months, especially during their courtship.
“I am stressed,” Y/N confessed. She had turned her head to look over the small stretch of her shoulder, staring at the three princes in her presence. She took hold of one of the white lace tablecloths from Elsie. She spread the tablecloth onto the next table. “There is still so much to do,” Y/N sighed.
“Let’s go for a walk,” Thomas suggested. He strode towards her, stopping to stand right in front of her. He could tell that she was about to make some protest, but then she began to process his words. He spoke again. “It might take your mind off things,” Thomas hinted.
The princess of the east had glanced at some of her surroundings in fear that some of the servants might catch onto the conversation between them. She was able to come up with a hundred excuses, but he simply refused to accept them. He had started to lead her away from the commotion with a hand on the small of her back. She was very reluctant to leave the front yard for a while.
The two royals were walking down the long gravel pathway of the newly opened gardens of the palace. He had caught her mumbling to herself under her breath as if she were making mental notes in her head. He had to tell her to not worry about anything. He said that he knew something that would take her mind off things.
With great precaution, the prince had brought the princess to a small stone gazebo hidden beneath the trees. He turned his head to look over the small stretch of his shoulder, checking to make sure nobody was nearby. He grasped onto the her, leading her towards the well-known hideout. He placed his hand on the small of her back, politely pushing her forward first.
The princess grabbed a handful of her skirt with both hands, lifting her skirt up so she could climb the steps. She did not hesitate to walk towards the stone wall of the gazebo. She found herself spinning around on the heels of her feet to face him, pressing her backside against the stone wall.
The prince had been following behind her. He turned his head to search some of his surroundings one last time. He quickly joined her in the privacy of the stone gazebo. He walked right up to her, so that he could press his body against her's. The coast was clear. They were alone now.
In an instant, their lips crashed together in synchronized harmony. He had carried his hand to rest below her ear, cupping her cheek with his large hand. His thumb was caressing her cheek in the most soothing manner. His other hand rested on her hip, holding her closer in his embrace. She ran her fingers over his forearms. She pulled him closer until there was no space left between them.
Their hearts were beating rapidly against their chests, threatening to break through the thin barrier. They could practically feel the blood and adrenaline pumping and coursing through their veins. They felt a rush of euphoric bliss envelop their beings, making their hearts sing with pure joy. Their hearts could barely contain the million different emotions surged through their bodies; desire, hunger love, lust.
The prince's mouth was warm; the caress of his lips gentle yet firm. He found himself tilting his head to the side to deepen their connection. He pressed his pink tongue against the seam of her little lips, begging for entrance. His tongue delved into her mouth, exploring every single aspect without any hesitation. He moaned at her sweet taste.
The princess's lips were so soft and smooth. Her lips were moving against the prince's lips as if they were two perfectly fitted puzzle pieces. She stifled a surprised gasp as his soft lips captured hers again, causing her body to flush with heat. She could feel the heat traveling through her veins, warming her heart.
The young woman was currently trapped between the stone wall and the strong prince. Though she didn't seem to mind. Her fingers were digging into the sleeve of the prince's coat, pulling him even closer to her. She refused to let him go. The obscene noises of one's saliva exchanging was streaming throughout the stone gazebo, bouncing off the hard walls. Their lips molded against each other’s perfectly. The kiss was so passionate.
In the end, the two human beings would need oxygen to survive. They had quite reluctantly pulled away from each other. They leaned forward to rest their heads together. They panted heavily to regain their breath. They stared into each other’s eyes, feeling at a loss for words.
"Thomas," the princess gasped. She breathed steadily to herself. She was lost in his gaze. “We must get married soon. I cannot bear to go another day without being able to express my love for you to the entire world. I need you," the princess begged him.
"I agree," he said. He was smiling softly down at her. He nudged the tip of his nose against her’s. "But...I need to finish sorting out a few things first. I need to finalize my inheritance, prepare for my coronation, and begin to start learning how to rule a kingdom."
There was a brief moment of silence between the two of them. She had found herself glancing between his eyes and lips, contemplating whether or not she should just kiss him right there and then. She opened her mouth to speak from her heart.
"I wish...I were an ordinary woman,” the princess of the east confessed. She lifted her hand to weave her fingers through his long locks of hair. She hummed softly to herself. “That way, we wouldn’t have to worry about hosting garden parties or sorting out inheritances. It would just be you and me...forever and always,” the princess of the east concluded.
“But you we not an ordinary woman," the prince shook his head at her. He had been so gentle to tuck a single strand of hair out of her face, tucking it behind her ear. He could feel her leaning her head into his embrace, holding onto his hand. "You are a princess,” the prince whispered to her.
With some hesitation, he had taken her into his arms once again. His soft brown eyes were shimmering with the strong sense of hunger and desire. It would take all of his strength to be gentle with her. He let his lips touch her’s so lightly that he could hardly feel it. He pulled away in an instant.
For a brief moment, the two royals just stood there staring at each other. Unable to resist any longer, he had stooped his head down to her height. Their mouths pressed together in a long passionate kiss. They had grown closer together until there was no visible gap between them. It was the kiss of a man who had waited years for the moment, and feared that it would never come again
His warm lips brushed against hers in the most delicate and delicious manner. He was forced to swallow the groan of pleasure that slipped past her sweet lips. She pressed her hand against his sculpted chest, memorizing the feeling of his firm hard muscle underneath her hand. She could feel his heart beating within his chest. She smiled against his lips.
When the time came, the guests had begun to arrive for the garden party. The lords and ladies were wearing some of the finest silks for the joyous occasion. The princess of the east was currently standing at the front of the tent, greeting the guests with a bright smile on her face. Her dear prince was standing right beside her.
The dukes and duchesses would bow or curtsey to the royals. They had also gone to great lengths to offer their congratulations to the young couple on their new courtship. They were so proud of the royal family at this moment.
The young children were running amongst the crowds of adult in the tent. The sound of children’s laughter could be heard throughout the courtyard. They were playing with each other. They must have been on a sugar high from all the sweets and treats.
The earls and dukes were currently playing a game of croquet in the front yard. They would use the long wooden mallets to strike the colorful balls into the metal hoops stuck in the ground. There was a servant on the sidelines who was keeping track of the score.
The marchionesses and baronesses would be found chatting amongst themselves about the latest topics and trends. The ladies could be easily found hiding underneath the tent in the cool shade. They just loved to indulge in the foods and drinks that were being served at the garden party. They were also very keen to point out how the prince was fretting and fawning over the princess.
At one point, Prince Thomas had draped a white lace shawl over Princess Y/N’s shoulders to provide some warmth and comfort. She had turned her head to look over the small stretch of her shoulder, sending him the kindest smile. She could feel his strong hands resting on the tops of her shoulders, which only brought her even more comfort.
During one of the conversations, Thomas had wanted to dismiss himself for a brief moment. He tilted his head to the side so that he could press one small kiss to her cheek. She had just barely leaned into him. She had already begun to miss his touch once he had left her side. She wanted him back right away.
The young prince had told the servants to prepare a small picnic underneath one of the shady trees. They would lay out this nice cream colored blanket on the soft blades of grass. The servants would also bring some refreshments for the royals.
Within a few short moments, Prince Thomas would return to his princess’s side. He had actually dragged her away from this boring conversation with an older duchess. He was quick to dismiss themselves from the duchess’s presence.
He had guided her towards the small scenery hidden underneath the shady trees in the short distance. He held out his hand to show her the display with a proud smile on his face. She did not hesitate to smile back at him. She picked up the skirt of her dress, stepping onto the soft blanket. She lowered herself into a proper sitting position for a princess with her legs bent to the sides. She noticed that he had joined her side on the blanket.
Slowly, Prince Thomas had poured two glasses of champagne for themselves. He had handed her the glass of bubbly golden champagne, holding his own in the other hand. He proposed a small toast to the success of her first garden party, which would only result in a small giggle from her. He clicked his champagne glass against hers in a gentle notion. He took one long sip of the gold liquid.
During this time, the princess of the east had found herself observing the garden party from a distance. She could see the two young princes talking amongst the ladies. She also saw her father speaking with the prime minister. She almost couldn’t believe that she was able to put this whole thing together. It was just perfect.
Beside her, the prince of the north was laying on his right side. He had propped himself up with his forearm. He was currently watching the game of croquet in the distance. He had a handful of green grapes in his hand, popping them into his mouth on occasion.
Slowly, the princess had turned her head to look down at the prince sitting beside her. She could see that his body was facing her, but his line of focus was directed to the game. She lay her hand to rest on top of his own.
Without hesitation, Thomas had turned his head to direct his attention back towards her. He was so taken back by her beauty. He was awestruck by the way her long locks of hair tumbled over her shoulders and the way her creamy skin was glowing in the afternoon sunlight. He was looking directly at her with such love and adoration in his eyes.
She had worn a soft cream dress for the garden party. She had these pretty little gloves with lace around her wrists. She was holding her white lace parasol in her hands, which had provided her some shade. She very easily could be mistaken for an angel from the heavens.
“What are you staring at?” she wondered. She was looking down at him with a slight tilt of the head. Her soft and kind eyes were sparking with curiosity. She quirked an eyebrow at him.
“You,” he confessed. He had been pulled away from his thoughts about her. He was quick to reach over to grab the white china bowl of small chocolate (dipped) strawberries. “Here. Try this,” he said.
The young prince pinched one of the small strawberries between his fingers, carrying it towards her light pink lips. She did not hesitate to wrap her lips around the strawberry, digging her teeth into the sweet and juicy fruit. She closed her eyes in pleasure, moaning at the wild taste in her mouth.
Very gently, Thomas pulled the green stem of the strawberry away from her mouth. He could clear see a small smudge of chocolate lingering at the corner of her lips. She had grabbed one of the cloth napkins to clean the chocolate. She lifted the napkin towards her mouth, but she was quickly stopped in her tracks.
In that moment, he had taken hold of her wrist to halt her movements. He pulled her hand away from her face, keeping a steady hand on her. He forced himself into a sitting position on the picnic blanket. He slowly leaned forward until he was only centimeters away from her face. He pressed his lips against the corner of her mouth in a simple kiss.
His tongue had slipped out of his mouth to collect the smudge of chocolate, drawing it back into his mouth. He turned his head to kiss her properly on the lips. He did not hesitate to swallow her moans of absolute pleasure. His insistent mouth had begun to part her trembling lips, sending wild tremors throughout her nerves. He would never forget the taste of her lips in that exact moment. She tasted like chocolate.
