It always bugged me in The Logging Adventure book how Cassie freaks out when they all morph ants, and she’s having an anxiety attack on the floor and Rachel has to hold her to try to calm her down, and the whole time Cassie is thinking ‘oh, I can’t believe I’m making Rachel hug me! Rachel hates to give hugs, she must be so uncomfortable!’

Like, Cassie, babe, sugarcheeks. What Rachel are you talking about?

The Rachel who nearly got herself stuck in a cat morph because a girl that she wasn’t even that good of friends with anymore was upset? The Rachel who was like, ‘This girl needs cuddles! I don’t care what it costs!’? That Rachel?

The Rachel who crouched in a construction site with both arms wrapped around her friends to shield and protect them from harm, but also to comfort them? That Rachel? 

The Rachel who in the future stands in the hallway of a busy hospital and hugs her cousin who has just manipulated her into hunting down their ally-turned-enemy because she feels bad for him that he has to do things like that? That Rachel?

Cassie. Sweetie. Toodlebug. I know you were hopped up on ant pheromones, but if you slander Rachel like that again I am going to have to revoke your empath license. Rachel will hug anyone who needs it and she will never feel bad about it.

GRIMOIRE TIPS&IDEAS

I’ve heard from quite a few of you that you don’t know what to put in your grimoire, or that you were having a hard time filling it! Here is a jumble of Lapis Cat’s tips & ideas for your grimoire!

Getting started can be hard, for a lot of reasons! I think it took me so incredibly long to do mine because i was so nervous about messing it up.

Different ways to keep your grimoire

- Spiral notebooks

- Composition books

- Binders

- Flash drive/SD card

- In google drive, notes on your phone/computer, online

- I’ve seen a $5 hardback sketchbook from michaels used

I will add, Don’t go off and buy a $65 grimoire that is beautiful for your first one, unless you really just must. You will have many grimoires after this one, and they will get more organized and beautiful as you establish your style over time.

Once you’ve selected your personal book, Its time to gather information to put in it! This is the part i’m often asked about. Nothing is mandatory in a grimoire, and you should add only information that is important to you. The one thing i will suggest you add is a blessing as one of your first pages. I’ve posted a book of shadows blessing in the past <3 Everything listed under this are just ideas for things you can add in!

In honor of His Dark Materials coming out today/tomorrow, and finding out that the writers were playing DnD during production, here are my home brew rules for adding Daemons to a campaign for 5th Edition DnD.

(Feedback is welcome but this is my first home brew so please be gentle)

Some concepts:

Boys who teach their non-witch boyfriends about witchcraft

Boys who aren’t witches but still get excited everytime their witch bf talks about witchcraft

Boys who become witches together and practise everything with each other

Boys buying each other witchcraft supplies and drawing sigils on them

Boys making personal sigils for each other

Witch boys supporting each other’s craft and practising together to grow as individuals

Love, Simon may have its issues, like everything, but it made me cry when I first watched it because it was the FIRST time I ever felt represented in the media.

The adults in it are amazing. His parents not caring and treating him the same. Ms Albright defending him in front of the whole school.The vice principal wearing the pride badge.

Simon's reaction to his forced outing. His raw emotion, the ugly crying, him distancing himself from the people he loves.

The whole scene with the ferris wheel, I SOBBED my heart out because I finally saw two gay people kiss on screen. I couldn't see myself in them (because they weren't women) but it made me so genuinely happy.

So yeah. Fuck the people that thought gay teens didnt need Love, Simon. I've seen a ton of straight movies and , while some might be cute, I've never actually FELT anything toward them.

I thought I wasnt a fan of love stories.

Turns out, I'm just not a fan of the same love stories done over and over and over again.

Ass it turns out, I'm only a fan of love stories that I can relate to.

The ORCA (Orcinus orca), or killer whale, is a toothed whale that is the largest member of the oceanic dolphin family. Orcas are highly social, cooperative and close-bonding, confident and assertive, but adaptable and not particularly picky or fussy. The orca has excellent eyesight and hearing and a good sense of touch: these animals are highly perceptive, sensitive and aware, tactile, hands-on and practical. Orcas disable their prey before killing it and are able to detect the location and characteristics of prey in the water by emitting clicks and listening for echoes: these animals are shrewd, intuitive and somewhat cautious. Orcas frequently engage in surface behaviour like breaching and tail-slapping: they are playful and highly active. With strong teeth, distinctive pigmentation and jaws that exert a powerful grip, orcas are tough, assertive and bold, but not particularly controlling or manipulative. These animals are impulsive and somewhat reckless, but highly determined and dedicated, and may beach temporarily to grab prey before wriggling back to sea. Orcas learn to copy behaviours from one another: these animals are proficient, capable and quick to learn. Orcas do hunt seabirds but are more likely to kill and leave them uneaten: they are heedless, not frugal and perhaps wasteful.
