Captain Marvel didn’t kill Thanos because it wasn’t her place.

Captain Marvel could have killed Thanos if she needed to.

Captain Marvel saved everyone’s lives when she destroyed Thanos’ ship.

Captain Marvel is not overpowered.

The entire point of a superhero, is that they are powerful enough to defeat the villain. Otherwise there’s no winning.

Captain Marvel is stronger than Thanos.

No one is stronger than the Infinity Stones. Captain Marvel is not stronger than Thanos when he’s using the Infinity Stones.

Captain Marvel is not weak.

Nobody could’ve taken a punch from the Power Stone. The impact might have even killed a regular human.

Captain Marvel is not useless. She saved everyone’s lives.

Thor, Scarlet Witch, Hulk and Dr Strange most probably could have destroyed Thanos’ ship. But they didn’t. So they needed Captain Marvel.

Captain Marvel didn’t have much screentime in Endgame because the film was a tribute to the original 6.

Captain Marvel had about the same amount of screentime as Spiderman and Black Panther. All three are the new faces of the Avengers.

Captain Marvel (film) did not have the same target audience as the other Marvel films. It was aimed at women and girls. If you’re not a woman or a girl, you have a higher chance of not liking it, because it wasn’t made to please you.

Your hate comments don’t change anything about the film or the character and probably don’t affect Brie Larson the way you want them to.

Film success is based off of money. Captain Marvel made a billion dollars. No one cares about your opinion.

If you found Carol Danvers bland, it’s probably because she doesn’t know who she is for half the film and then doesn’t have time to process what she’s been told about herself for the rest of the film.

We’ll probably see character development as Marvel progresses. Like what happens in every series ever.

I’m sorry to break it to you, but Captain Marvel WILL be in future Marvel films. If you don’t like her, don’t watch them. It’s not hard.

Captain Marvel is not arrogant. Or at least, not any more so than Iron Man and Thor. Why is it okay for them to be arrogant, but not her?

Brie Larson is one of the sweetest human beings in the world. She’s kind and thoughtful and determined to spread goodness.

Brie Larson never said she hated men. She only said she wishes women and people of colour got more opportunities, you know, because white men get more opportunities than anyone else.

The Avengers cast do not hate Brie Larson. Or, maybe they do. How can you tell? Do you personally know the actors well enough to know how they are around someone they dislike? Has anyone publicly stated that they hate her?

To those who said she should be more sexy, believe it or not, women do not exist for the pleasure of men. Her suit is practical. Brie Larson is a human being, you don’t get to treat her like anything less.

Captain Marvel is not Captain America’s replacement. They are different characters with different motivations, purposes, morals, powers, etc.

Every single Avenger would kick your ass for hating Captain Marvel. Every single Avenger would probably heartily agree that she is the most powerful Avenger, and only joke about disagreeing.

Chris Hemsworth has said that Thor is the strongest Avenger. No one called him out on it.

To those who said she should smile more, your sexism is showing.

To those who think Captain Marvel spreads the idea that stealing is okay, where was this energy for Scott Lang?

If you didn’t like the film, don’t watch it. Don’t comment on things about it, just scroll. It isn’t rocket science to ignore something you dislike. In fact, you look like a fool for choosing to write your hateful comment. You’re bringing negativity into your own life by commenting.

Being a Witch IS Political

Witchcraft and spirituality are inherently political. To embrace these paths without acknowledging their history and ongoing struggles is to reduce them to mere aesthetics. True witches—and spiritual practitioners—understand that the essence of these practices is rooted in resistance, justice, and transformation.

Historically, witches were the wise women and healers of their communities. They tended to the sick, midwifed births, and served as the keepers of ancient knowledge. Their craft connected them deeply to nature, the cycles of life, and the unseen forces that govern our world. These practices often placed them on the fringes of society, not because they were wrong or dangerous, but because their power defied the status quo.

These women (and men) were political figures simply by existing. They challenged patriarchal systems, capitalist greed, and authoritarian control. When they provided herbal remedies or midwifed safely outside the church's purview, they defied institutions that sought to monopolize power over life and death.

The witch trials of history were political acts, targeting those who threatened established hierarchies. Witches were scapegoated for plagues, famines, and dissent, often accused because they stood up for their communities, demanded justice, or refused to conform to societal expectations.

Even today, to identify as a witch or spiritual practitioner is to take a stand. It is to honor the marginalized, to value the Earth over profit, and to seek balance in a world obsessed with domination. It is to embrace healing, not only for ourselves but for others and the planet—a deeply political act in a culture that prioritizes profit and power over people and ecosystems.

Being a witch means advocating for what is right, even at risk to our comfort or safety. It means standing against oppression, environmental destruction, and systemic injustice. To claim this path is to reclaim the legacy of those who came before us—the wise women, healers, and rebels who walked this path at great personal cost.

If you are drawn to witchcraft, spirituality, or paganism, understand that this is more than crystals and candles. It is a call to action, a commitment to live authentically and fight for a better world. Anything less is a disservice to the courageous souls who paved the way for us.

Hey everyone, an Animorphs fan who describes themself in their bio as an “authoritarian” and a “nationalist” just followed me. This made me realize to my horror that perhaps some of my Animorphs followers are fascists. So, I would like to make a few announcements about the politics of Animorphs so that all fascist followers will promptly fuck off. Did you know that Animorphs is:

Anti-war and colonization (the Yeerk war is a metaphor for the horrors of the Vietnam War, in ways that are made explicit in The Andalite Chronicles when Loren compares Alloran to her father, a Vietnam vet)

Anti-genocide (the genocide of the Hork-Bajir is portrayed directly and gruesomely by Dak Hamee, one of its victims, in The Hork-Bajir Chronicles)

Anti-racist (Cassie, a black girl heroine, turns into a polar bear to terrorize a white man who calls her the N-word, one of the greatest most heroic minor characters in Eva, a Latina immigrant)

Deeply skeptical of government authority (see the portrayal of world leaders in the David trilogy, the fact that the military leadership of the Andalites was ready to genocide the Earth even though they could have ended the war with much less loss of life)

Feminist (Cassie and Rachel are just as important as the male Animorphs, Rachel is the most fearsome warrior of the group and regularly attacks men who try to control her)

Anti-homophobic (Tobias laments in book 23 that humans are unlikely to accept Hork-Bajir when they can’t even accept gay children)

Environmentalist (the importance of protecting the Earth and its biodiversity is raised in nearly every book)

Any authoritarians and fascists can unfollow me right now, and go choke on your own hatred. And maybe find another book series to stan, because Katherine Applegate hates you too.

What would happen if our world was suddenly given the gift of seeing dĂŚmons?

The situation: waking up in the morning of their timezone, people all over the world have woken up to find they have a daemon.

Some people upon waking were quite happy to find a sweet chinchilla snuggled next to them, a friendly dog in their bedroom, or a giraffe peeking through their window. Others may have been frightened to find mice, toads, and spiders by their side.

There were some reported incidents of people attacking their daemons at first sight, only to feel the pain in their own body. Hundreds of unsuspecting people were sent to hospitals for minor injuries. Two deaths were recorded in the states, one notable death being a man who rolled over his daemon in his sleep.

People are torn: they either love their new life companion or think of them as curses to humanity. Religous groups have taken to calling them “demons” sent as punishment for our sins. The name catches on with both pro and anti daemon groups, particularly since the word “daemon” is already a greek word that describes the animals accurately.

After a bit of research and talking with their daemons, people realize that daemons are a part of the human body. It is also realized that daemons aren’t actually animals, since people with cat allergies are fine around cat daemons.

It doesn’t take long for new forms of discrimination to arise. Animals in our world carry meanings, so people with “undesirable” animals are seen as suspicious or as outcasts. Snakes, vultures, rats, pigeons, insects, and “pest” daemons are seen as lesser. People with such daemons begin to unionize in hopes of bettering their image.

After almost a year of having daemons, people have mostly figured out that daemons are not a threat. If anything, they’re useful, since it’s like your very own sidekick. It’s common place to have daemons sit at the dinner table, to see business men and women carrying their daemon on their shoulder, and students keeping smaller formed daemons in their backpacks and hoodies. Pretty much everyone has named their daemon by now.

Even after all this time, daemons are still a hot topic in the news and no one has figured out why they appeared, despite all the theories. New branches of study have opened to research daemons (Daemon Morphology, Daemon and Human Anatomy, and Daemons in Society are just some of the college courses offered). People are still in the means of understanding this new daemon phenomenon, but it’s becoming more and more normalized with each day.

please feel free to reblog and add on! this is really fun to think about tbh
