“I don’t know when/ I don’t know how/ But I know something’s starting right now/ Watch and you’ll see/ Someday I’ll be/ Part of Your World.”

Don’t you just love when you pull a tarot card and you’re like nah I don’t like that gimmie another and so you pull another card and it’s basically saying “bitch I said what I said” 🙃

While watching the clip of Lee Scoresby’s introduction, I was wondering; why are Lee and Hester telling each other stuff about Iorek that they already know, like him getting tricked out of the armour and that they owe him? And then I remembered, naturally, both of them are actually talking to themselves, they’re the same being

go to the forest together and collect cool things for spells. kiss him under the tallest trees and tell him he’s the most magical thing in there

Your deities love you.

Haven’t tidied their altars in forever? They understand.

Don’t have the motivation to give them offerings? They get it.

You haven’t left bed for a long time? They still care about you.

Aren’t devoting time to them lately? They don’t mind

Forgot an offering? That’s alright. They forgive you.

Fucked something up? They’re not going to ditch you for your mistakes.

Decide to take a break from deity work? Totally cool, they’ll still be here for you.

Your deities understand your struggles. Even your mental health related issues. They get it, and they love you regardless. Just do your best for them, and they’ll appreciate it.

Evolution Series: A Series Of Sirenians
Evolution Series: A Series Of Sirenians

Evolution Series: A Series of Sirenians

Sirenians, or sea cows, are very unique animals. Related to elephants and hyraxes but originating in the Americas, they are the only fully herbivore aquatic mammals and live in both freshwater and salwater habitats.

*The animals represented here are not to scale and don’t represent a direct line of descent, but rather plausible models for how this amazing transition happened.*

As a sidenote, I just recently reached 8,000 followers and so wanted to thank everyone for the support! life is so good when you enjoy rain and snow and sunshine and starlight and wind and mornings and twilights and spring and autumn. to pay attention to weather and natural phenomena is to hack the days of the year into bringing you many gifts, predictable, perhaps, yet no less delightful

i’m so proud of you

Everyone says Ares feels like protests and Anger

And he does but he also feels like running to your big brother for help,

Crying into the chest of a man who won’t hurt you,

Someone teaching you how to throw a punch, with no judgement

Someone picking you up when you fall and scrape your self up

He feels like tattoos of a woman with snakes for hair to remind yourself you can’t be broken

He feels like someone finally recognizing the anger and rage inside you with honor and acceptance instead of demanding peace and forgiveness

Yes girls and boys Ares is big and scary and in the spirit of rebellion but he’s also a safe place to run don’t forget that 💕

Things that have helped me feel closer to my deities:

Praying before their altars (bonus points if you write your own)

Read books other than their myths (books you think they’d enjoy themselves)

Meditating with them

Learn about magickal subjects related to them

Dedicate a journal for notes and document experiences you have with that deity (including moments where they’ve assisted you and any divination conversations you’ve had with them)

Listen to their messages and follow through with them

Light incense that reminds you of them

Find artwork that feels like that deity and hang, print or save them

Divination Methods (Runes, Tarot, Pendulums, Bone Throwing, etc.)

Watch content on different subjects they’re related to (documentaries on death, relationships, crime, etc.)

Dedicate, care, and/or name pets, plants, plushies, etc to them

Learn not just their pantheon and myths but the culture that influenced them

Wear jewelry dedicated to them (bonus if you have that deity enchant them with protection)

Share meals with them

Thinking of them in passing (like “hey that thing reminds me of *insert deity*”)

Talk casually at their altars and give them an itinerary of your day

Define your relationship with that deity and refer to them accordingly (if its a more formal/in reverence, use a formal title. if it’s warm/personal, use an affectionate name.)
