This fic made me really happy
Several people who don't read the comics seem to get ideas about characters and how they act. It's fine when you're doing to characters you know about, but for characters you don't know about, not so much.
Please note: This post is not meant to gate keep anyone from comics, MCU or any other Marvel related products.
#1: He is ugly. This one is false for the most part. Look at the women he has dated, Liz Allan, Gwen, MJ, Black Cat, Carol Danvers and others.
#2: He is naive. This one is also false. Peter is optimistic. There is a difference. Peter himself recognizes that the world is a terrible place. However he thinks it can get better. That is the whole point of him not killing his enemies.
#3: He has to suffer to be relatable. No, just no. This one is false. He doesn't have to suffer to be relatable. He is relatable because he deals with relatable problems. He is nerdy, has to make ends meet, etc. That is how he was relatable. Not suffering. And certainly not whatever the f#ck is going on in the current run.
#4: He is hated by other heroes. This one mainly stems from the Superior Spider-Man comic arc, but is still blatantly wrong. He has several friends in the comics, such as: Daredevil, Deadpool (to an extent) Wolverine, Luke Cage, Johnny Storm, Cloak and Dagger, and several others.
#5: He is not respected by the other heroes. This was also caused by Superior Spider-Man. However several people respect him. Mr. Fantastic and Iron Man respect him for his intelligence. Captain America calls him on of the greatest men he's ever known. Thor says (in a complimentary way) that he was the most mortal man he knew. T'Challa let him eat a Heart-Shaped Herb. Hulk was one of the few people who knew Peter's identity after OMD.
#6: He was a teenager for most of his publication history. The first ever Spider-Man comic was published in August 1962 in Amazing Fantasy #15. He he graduated and became an adult on June 8, 1965 in The Amazing Spider-Man Volume 1 #28.
All I need is for someone to gently cup my face and tell me I'm not as doomed as I feel.
Stalker!Gaz who had never intended to stalk you, he was just worried when he noticed how you barely have any survival instinct.
Like how you like to take a long walk alone, at night, with earphones on blasting loud music. How you often forgot to lock your door or have your curtains wide open while you carelessly strut around half-naked in your flat. How you somehow could fall asleep in public transport, leaving you and your belongings vulnerable. Or when you missed the last bus and you just casually hitch-hike with a stranger (seriously? who did that anymore)- fortunately, that stranger was him. That was the only one good thing that came from your carelessness, him being able to know you.
..So he can't just leave you alone, can't he? he had to protect you, beat up every creep that had the audacity to whistle your way, resisting a facepalm when you simply whistled back in response.
He felt like some kind of unofficial (and illegal) guardian angel more than a stalker really. And he was sure you would never realize it.
At first he was discreet, watching you at a safe distance. But eventually, he found out that you were very annoyingly oblivious.
Eventually, he would just sit beside you on the bus everytime he followed you home, not knowing if he wanted to be pissed or smile when you fall asleep with your head leaning against his shoulder. You were lucky it was him, what if you fell asleep on a creepy man instead?
this is based on me.. one time when i live alone, my landlord scolded me for keep forgetting to lock my door, and i was legit didn't understand coz i had no valuables except for my empty wallet, my laptop and camera was kept at work. and he legit yelled 'youre the valuable' and i was like oohh
Instant red flag? People who don't like spider-man

It’s been, what, two-or-three years since I’ve drawn them????
I honestly have no clue but I missed them so much!! It seems like 2024 and 2025 are the year of revisiting old fixations!
We need more strained but loving Batfam representation. No more black and white, "Bruce is an abusive father and they all resent each other," or "they're basically the found family Brady Bunch."
I want a family that yells and argues but cares. A family that gets into fights so bad they spark week long silent treatments, but everyone still picks up the phone because "What if it's an emergency? What if they're hurt?" A family that's tense and stiff in moments of peace but laughs together in times of crisis because there's still comfort within the presence of each other. A family that could never do game night every Friday, but will still show up to monthly check in dinners, even if a lot of them end off worse they started.
They're a bunch of emotionally constipated, incredibly opinionated, and terribly traumatized individuals. Let them care so much, even if it's in the most aggravating and purposefully obtuse way possible.
this came to me in a literal fever dream
