I think it would be neat if a canonically aro/ace character is in Wings of Fire.

However, there’s a little piece of me that can’t help but worry that this might not happen, due to how much romantic relationships are involved within the series (or at least with the main protagonists), even if that worry of mine is irrational.

I hate how there isn't a single good wings of fire fanfic. The only one I kinda liked was "The Dragonets aren't coming" on fanfic.net and that one hasn't been updated in forever 😭

Belive me when I say I have tried all the popular fanfics. Healer, Edge of Dawn, that one where Morrowseer raises Moon, the one where Kestrel and Carnelian meet in the afterlife, the one where the Jade Winglet + Peril make a band, etc...

Ok, I think MOST important goes to Sunny. But Moon's about 2nd place I think.

I think it's about time I say this. Moon is the most important character in wings of fire. Not best or favorite, (though she is my favorite) those are two different things. What I mean is you can't substitute her in the plot. You can't swap her out with another character and get the same story. Moon's kindness is the one who sparks change in everyone, Turtle in his journey to be willing to help, Qibli in his journey of becoming secure about himself mentally, and Winter basically not being Racist to Nightwings. I could go on but you get the picture.

I like to think Dune just didn't care enough to tell anyone about it.

It's so weird that Talons of Peace and Morrowseer didn't notice that Sunny was a hybrid. She literally looks like a golden nightwing with a sail. Okay, maybe most dragons have never seen a nightwings, but Dune spent most of his life around sandwings, and he would have definitely figured out that Sunny was a hybrid, since her build and face are nothing like a sandwing. I think Dune knew Sunny was a hybrid back then, and he probably even knew about Stonemover but kept quiet about it.

anyone else think Bullfrog should be a pov character in arc 4? idk I feel like it’d be a waste to introduce him and have him in the pantala strike team if he doesn’t do anything afterwards, particularly since he didn’t do much except show Qibli misses Winter and exposition to Luna and Cricket about the scorching

They just don’t fit? We barely get anything between them expect for Turtle being nervous around her! And Anemone’s spell isn’t really helping. I know they are lovestruck and awkward kids neither of witch have no idea how to not be totally awkward and weird about each other, but still, I will forever be Turtle x Peril
