Thunk

Various x GN!reader. Platonic. Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Robin, Brook.

Luffy

“Did you have to spill it? Haven’t you gotten instincts for that?” You say, peeved as you clean up Luffy’s spilled juice.

“I don’t have that on all the time.” He says with a huff, begrudgingly grabbing more paper towels for you until he realizes something. “There’s no more.” It’s run out.

“No more?” You look back at him and see the empty paper towel roll, sighing. “Give it here.” He hands it to you and you bonk it on his head softly with a “thunk”.

“Hey!” He rubs the spot you did it, putting on his straw hat for protection.

“Small punishment, we’ll have to do it with a cloth so go get that for me; even if it’ll be a hassle to have to rinse it out.” Luffy pouts, but gets it anyway since he’ll be scolded if he doesn’t.

Zoro

You’re cleaning up Zoro’s workout equipment, he could do it himself but you’re doing it this time since he’s eating a sandwich Sanji made for protein. “You don’t clean these as often as you should.” You tell him while cleaning up the pole for weights.

“I’m the one who uses it the most anyway, if you think it’s gross just don’t use them.” The swordsman says in between bites. You notice you’ve managed to clean them with the last paper towel, pleased but still annoyed at what Zoro said. You walk over to him where he’s sitting and bonk his head with the empty roll. It makes a “thunk” sound. “Empty head.” He scowls.

“I didn’t ask you to do this.” You thunk him again. “Hey!” Thunk "Ugh."

“It’s not that much of a hassle to clean it, think of it as practicing your patience or responsibility. There’s other types of responsibilities that aren’t protection or fighting.”

“Whatever.” He mumbles and you thunk him on the head for the 4th time. “Stop!”

Sanji

“You should really take more breaks.” You say while rinsing out a cloth you were using to clean.

“I’m used to working this much from the Baratie, you have nothing to worry about.” He sits at the counter after you barely convinced him to atleast sit down for a bit.

“You only get 5 hours of sleep each night, that isn’t healthy for you even if you’re used to it.” He’s about to say something when you interrupt him. “Zoro sleeps less during the night but he naps during the day as well, Brook is a skeleton, and Luffy sleeps whenever he wants during the day as well if he’s tired. You do not.” The cook closes his mouth having been corrected. You grab a paper towel to dry off the counter and realize it’s the last one. You walk over to Sanji, who’s looking down at the ground, and bonk him on the head using the empty roll with a “thunk” sound. “I don’t mind you asking me for help if you need it, so use that assistance to rest a bit. I mean it.”

“...Okay..” He mumbles, his gaze still to the ground as he fumbles with his hands like a scolded little kid.

Robin

“I’m usually more careful than this.” Robin says while she makes sure none of the books have gotten wet. “I suppose I was too focused on the text.”

“If it means it was interesting enough then I’m sure the author would be flattered.” You say while cleaning up a drink she had knocked over while reading. Once she’s made sure nothing got wet she puts the books down on her lap. “There’s no point feeling bad about it now.” You manage to clean everything up by the time the paper towels have run out.

“I apologize for making you do this, you seemed focused as wel-” You lightly bonk her on the head with the empty roll, making a “thunk” sound. Her eyes widen as she looks up at you, shocked.

“Lighten up, you’re acting like you’ve forced me. Of course I would do this for you, you’re my friend.” Her eyes are still wide but she eventually smiles.

“Then I’ll thank you instead. Thank you.” You smile back at her when she thanks you.

“You’re welcome.” You bonked the bad thoughts out of her.

Brook

“If I could see your pantie-” Brook gets hit on the head HARD by Nami before she storms off, walking past you as you notice Brook now sitting on the ground rubbing his forehead.

“Hit again? You really don’t learn your lesson, huh?” You say while standing in front of him. “It was hard this time too, I heard it from where I was.”

“She knocked my brains out! Not that I had any to begin with yohoho!” He jokes, though he never really expects Nami to show her panties. It’s more of a habit at this point, something he gained from the past he’s reluctant to let go of.

“More like scrambled since you can still joke.” You’re holding an empty paper towel roll, on the way to throw it out before you heard the commotion. You get an idea and thunk him on the head with it, “To unscramble,” then do it again. “now to bonk those thoughts out.” He looks up at you, presumably processing what happened since you can’t really see an expression. He rubs his head for a second.

“You’ve warmed my heart (Y/n)-san, not that I have one!” His laugh is slightly less loud. “You’re a miracle worker…” He’s silent for a bit, then goes back to normal. “We should see panties to celebra-” Thunk.

Compliments

Shanks x reader. Male in mind but nothing is gendered. 500ish words

Shanks is used to compliments, he gets them often because he’s objectively handsome. Even his faults, like the missing arm and scars, add to his charm. Still, there are some things that catch him off guard. Like you.

“Your face is really pleasing to look at.” You tell him.

“Thanks, kid, look all you want. Consider it a perk of having me as your captain!” He’s got the biggest grin on his face, just because he’s complimented often doesn’t mean he dislikes it now.

“I do, and I will continue to do so.” You give him more to eat. “Your lips are a little chapped but the way they’re framed by your stubble makes them so kissable.” Shanks flushes slightly but his smile gets wider. 

“You’re really laying it on, huh? I never thought his ego could get bigger but I can practically see it inflating.” Beckman jokes, lighting a cigarette. “You only joined a couple months ago and he walks around like a show dog now.” 

“C’mon~ Why shouldn’t I? Clearly I’m doing a favor to the world, right?” Shanks dismisses, happy from your compliments that are always thought out. Whether it’s complimenting the shade of red his hair is or how his wrinkles compliment his features, he loves it. The way you say it too, you aren’t flirting with him, just saying your truth. 

“You’ve got him all buttered up.” Beckman’s almost disgusted, seeing Shanks at his grown age getting all fuzzy from some compliments. Though to be honest if he got thoughtful comments about himself as often as you do to Shanks he might be the same. He won’t say that though, someone has to keep the Captain’s ego down. “It’s hurting my eyes.” Shanks huffs slightly at that.

“No need to be jealous, you can be the third handsomest on the ship. After (Y/N).” The redhead states, flirting softly then looking to you for a reaction. You give him a nod.

“Beck is handsome too.” No reaction. Shanks feels slightly dejected, but still nice. This just means that you really are giving these comments from objective observation. He does feel bad just getting all of this without giving you anything back, though. 

“So are you, maybe my charm just attracts other charming people.” He winks.

You nod, Shanks sighs. “Take the compliment kid.”

“Sorry. it’s just… I’m a little distracted right now.” You respond.

“Charming enough that I’ve got your head in the clouds, now?” He half-jokes.

“Yeah. Your lips really do look kissable right now. I thought about grabbing your waist too, it would feel really nice in my hands.” 

"..." Shanks flushes again, are you flirting with him or not? 

“Hand on waist… so nice, when your face flushes it’s close to the color of your hair. It’s really cute.” You look to the distance, your mind wandering. It clicks to the captain and first mate, maybe this isn’t flirting OR compliments to be nice. You might just be too honest with an inability to keep your thoughts to yourself.

You're Here!

One piece x GN!Reader. (Sabo, Nami, Luffy, Zoro, Sanji). Fluff. 1265 words total. You meet them after a long time and jump into their arms from a cliff.

“Ahhh…” You haven’t seen your lover in so long. You miss them, though that should be obvious. On the bright side, they are coming soon. So here you sit at the top of a cliff, waiting for them to show up when you spot something, someONE. It’s them!

Sabo

“They should be here somewhere..” Sabo mumbles to himself, carrying his pipe in his hand just in case you’ve been ambushed by some sort of enemy or animal.

“SABOOO!” There’s a yell and he looks up to see you on the cliff, his eyes brightening. You aren’t in trouble.

“(Y/n) you’re hhEERE!?” His voice cracks louder as you happily jump off the cliff. Now you are. His eyes go wide and he runs to you, his heart calming quickly to focus on catching you. He’s got experience in unexpected behaviors from both being a revolutionary and because of a certain rubber boy. He drops his pipe to the ground and catches you, stepping back from the impact, and to make sure you feel none of it. Once you’re safe and smiling at him he sighs in both relief and exasperation. “You could’ve at least given me a better warning.”

“Sorry, I was excited.” You can do this again, just tell him next time.

Nami

“Stupid forest.” The navigator mumbles to herself as she walks through the trees.

“Nami!!” Her name is called out and she looks up.

“Oh you’re up there. Ugh how am i going to get up there.” She grumbles, then cups her hands around her mouth. “(Y/n) is there a way down from there!?”

“Yeah!” You yell back.

“Okay come down from th-” You jump off the cliff and her jaw drops. ‘They did not just do that.’ She thinks to herself, quickly going to denial. ‘This isn’t happening.’ Nami goes pale as you fall because this is, in fact, happening. Not only did you jump, you jumped when you aren’t going to survive from that height; or at the very least you’ll get injured. She can’t just let you fall to teach you a lesson, and no one else is around her to catch you instead. Nami curses and pulls out her baton, creating as thick a cloud as she can to soften your fall. You finally land on the soft cloud, the bumped thick water sheet stretching and breaking your fall. Unfortunately, you still end up through it and onto her, sending you both to the ground. She pants, still processing, yet you sit up with a smile like nothing bad happened.

“Nami I-” She sits up and bonks you on the head hard. “ACK”

“Get off me.” Uh oh, she’s really mad. You shimmy off of her and she clenches her jaw. “You are UNBELIEVABLE. Do you think you’re made of rubber!? Just gonna bounce off!? I’m never coming to get you again. I swear Luffy has been a bad influence on you and the BOTH of you are sooo in trouble when we get back.” She scolds you for almost 10 minutes, then you and Luffy back on the ship for another 10; when the captain cracks up at what you did he adds another 5. Never try that again. Ever.

Luffy

“(Y/n)!! Hello!??” His voice sounds impatient as he bounces on his feet. He can’t help it, he’s been away from you for so long, longer than he’d ever allow usually if it wasn’t so important… “Hmmmmm..” There’s a frown on his face as he scans his surroundings.

“UP HERE!” You yell and he looks up at you, eyes shining as a big smile replaces his previous frown.

“(Y/N)!” On the same wavelength, you jump down right as he stretches his arms out to get to you. “WOAH!” He’s caught off guard for a second before he manages to grip onto your shoulders instead of the cliff, smashing your bodies together at high speeds. He falls onto his back,

but he’s rubber, so it only makes him bounce a few times before you both settle onto the forest floor. Luffy sits up and adjusts his hat. “Phew!” His eyes lock onto yours and he grins happily. “Gotcha!” His voice is cheerful as he laughs, everything is sunshine in his head so you can do that as much as you want. It’ll be fun! Though it’s really who does it first.

Zoro

Zoro walks through the forest, obviously lost. He pushes through some bushes and finds the cliff you were supposed to meet at instead, but he’s on the ground from it and not on it. “The hell, this map is useless.” He curses as he looks down at the perfectly drawn map with clear directions that a child could follow.

“HEYY!!” He hears your voice from above and looks up.

“The witch drew this map badly! Wait there I’ll get to you!” He yells at you confidently.

‘He is NOT making it up here.’ You think to yourself. “I’ll just come to you!” Yelling back, you step back to gain momentum. Then, before he can tell you he’s got it, you jump off the cliff towards him. His eyes go wide.

“YOU DUMBASS YOU AREN’T RUBBER!” He tosses the map to the floor and puts his arms out. “Shit!” He makes sure he’s in the right spot, then catches you. The impact makes him quickly step back, only not falling from the strength he’s honed so much. Once you’re both safe he drops you onto the ground.

“Ow!” You fall on your butt. “I didn’t even get to give you a kiss first.” You deflate and Zoro looks down at you, clearly not pleased.

“Too bad for pulling that stupid stunt. Walk yourself.” He’s about to turn and start walking when he feels sad eyes digging into the back of his head. “ugh..”

“You didn’t miss me?” At your words he turns back to look at you, still frowning but his anger cracking.

“Obviously but you-”

“You don’t wanna kiss me? Are we nothing now?”

“You..!” He clenches his teeth, looking into your eyes. It’s not long before he breaks, combing a hand through his hair in annoyance. He walks over and picks you up. “There.” You give him a kiss. Even if it pissed him off, it doesn’t take much for him to get over it. Plus, it lets him show off his strength a little by catching you easily.

Sanji

Sanji walks around, hurried and looking everywhere in the vicinity. His (Y/n) sensors are going off so he knows you’re somewhere here, he just doesn’t know where you are. “Sanji!” His head snaps to where he heard your voice, up on the cliff.

“My love!” He jumps up and starts to air walk to you, a smile on his face. That’s quickly wiped off once he’s about half way there when you jump down. “LOVE!?” He goes pale and manages to catch you in his arms but you throw him off balance from the unexpectedness of it, Sanji having to lower himself with each step back until both feet are on the ground. You pull your head back to look at him with a big smile.

“You caught me!”

“Of course I’d catch you!” He says with an relieved tone, giving you a peck on the lips as he puts you down. “But please don’t ever do that again, just wait for me to go up. You almost gave me a heart attack.” He’s still a little pale, putting a hand on his heart. Be nice to him.

:p. Did it. I always have specific scenarios in my head and decided to do some with some random characters. You have no idea how much i wanted to make a "LUFFFYYYYYY!" Zoro scream joke reference in Zoro's. But i held back.

Okay I finished it, it was a little hard since I kept getting distracted with other stuff but I did it. Sorry for taking more time than I said maybe I should stop giving time framed. Anyway here's the second (and last) part.

Kindness Isn't Spineless

Luffy x gn!reader. angst with happy ending. 1284 words. Tw mention of reader's past abusive relationships. Part 1, Part 3, Part 4

Luffy decides to give you space, just a bit. He’s already messed things up, now he's nervous breaking down the door would just make things worse. This isn’t like him, he should just do what feels right! The problem is none of the options feel right, all of them make him feel like they’re the wrong one. He wishes you would just open the door, make the choice for him so he could stop worrying about him. “(Y/N)!” He calls out, “Hey! I’m sorry, can you let me in?” but there’s no answer. “...Please?” You still don’t respond and he droops sadly. He doesn’t want to leave, so he just sits down next to the door and waits while thinking about what he did. Time passes and Nami comes, spotting Luffy looking dejected near your door. She already has a feeling something happened.

“Did you get kicked out?” She asks, expecting Luffy to get defensive; but he just nods, too bummed to argue. His plan of scolding him harshly softens and she sighs, crouching down to his level “What happened? You messed up, right?” She asks.

“I thought maybe if I was mean they would get braver with me, but now they’re mad.” Luffy answers and Nami sighs again.

“You know you messed up, right?” She asks and Luffy looks away, still a little stubborn. “Luffy you hurt them.” That makes him flinch and he concedes, the thought of hurting you so badly overtaking his need to be right.

“...I messed up.” It’s still a little hesitant but he admits it. Nami motions for him to go on and he tries his best to continue. “I should’ve, um, talked to them.” That’s the most he can think of for now.

“Good enough, but you should say this to them. Mkay?” Nami says softly and Luffy nods. “Good. That’ll be 5,000 berri for my advice.” She says, standing back up. “You can give it to me later, no interest~” With that, she’s gone. Luffy turns his head to look at your door, then stands up and knocks.

“(Y/N) I messed up and I’m sorry. Can you open the door?” There’s no answer and he frowns. “Please, Franky will get mad if I break it down.” There’s a huff from inside and footsteps before the door opens. His frown deepens into a guilty one seeing your eyes red from crying. “I’m sorry.” Luffy says to you and you slowly open your arms. As soon as they open he quickly hugs you tightly, all his thoughts coming out. “You’ve been so weird around me and you don’t argue with anything I started to feel bad and I wanted to help you so I just thought that if I was mean to you you would get angry one day and then actually argue back but now you’re hurt and it’s my fault I’m really sorry (Y/N) please don’t cry or break up with me I’ll try my best to not do it again even if you act weird and meek!” He rambles quickly and you pull back, which he very hesitantly lets you. “Your eyes are all red, I didn’t know you would get so sad-”

“You didn’t think I would be sad that my boyfriend was being cold to me? Luffy you’re acting stupid. I was trying so so hard to be nice to you and you just.. just brushed me off! I was scared that if I argued back you would get angry with me but now you’re saying you didn’t like that I wouldn’t argue back!? That doesn’t make any sense!” You yell at him, eyes tearing up again. Luffy listens to you.

“I just didn’t want you to be a pushover. I wanted you to be strong being with me not all meek and weak.” Luffy says softly, he still feels like it’s kind of your fault but it doesn’t matter to him. He’ll try and understand.

“...You’re right.” His heart races, are you gonna leave him again? “I’ve been meek and just way too accepting of whatever happens. I didn’t want to argue or take any risks so I let you do whatever you wanted. Your intentions were good, even if you did it in such a stupid way.” Your words are bittersweet, he’s glad you’re acknowledging what you did wrong but he doesn't want you to just give in. “Still, you hurt me, and I’m mad at you. I was starting to think you hated me, that you regretted being with me. It hurt so bad, I felt like I was back in some stupid toxic relationship with someone that doesn’t love me.” This catches Luffy’s attention.

“Hey wait what do you me-” You cover his mouth before he can finish.

“Let me speak please.” You tell him and he nods. “I’ve been in bad relationships before, ones that hurt me mentally, emotionally, and sometimes even physically. I know you wouldn’t hit me over an argument or just because you were mad but I was scared. I kept telling myself you wouldn’t but I couldn’t help it, I didn’t want to risk it. I didn’t want to risk someone I really love turning into the same people that hurt me.” Luffy listens to all of this and his emotions are conflicted. He wants to beat up anyone that hurt you, caused you to be like this; but he’s also just sad that you’re like this because of them. He feels guilty now too, maybe if he just asked you this wouldn’t have happened and he could help you get through it instead of looking at him with such fear; but you haven’t uncovered his mouth so he keeps that to himself for now. “Luffy, you didn’t just make me mad, you made me upset, you made me feel unsafe.” His heart sinks. Unsafe? He likes to tease and prank his crew members but knowing he made one of his nakama, one that he loves so much, unsafe makes him feel horrible. More than he felt when he started this whole thing in order to strengthen you. He reaches his arms out to you and you hesitate to go into them, but give in when you see how guilty he looks.

“I’m sorry, I’m really sorry. I don’t like making you feel unsafe. I won't do it again, I’ll talk with you instead of doing something crazy.” He mumbles, hugging you tightly. Not enough to hurt, but enough that you know he wants you in his arms. You close your eyes and let your head fall onto his shoulder, wrapping your own arms around him.

“Okay, you have to promise me. Promise me you aren’t going to make me feel like this again.” You say and nods quickly, pulling back just enough to look at you.

“I promise. I’m gonna do my best to listen to you and talk with you, I won’t make you feel unsafe again.” Luffy pressed his forehead against yours, looking deep into your eyes. Your expression is still a little solemn but you nod.

“Okay, I’ll trust you.” It makes you scared saying that, nerve wracking knowing you’ll have to face and change how you’ve taught yourself to be; but looking into Luffy’s genuinely guilty and determined eyes gives you the strength to take the risk. To let go of the defenses that you’ve put up to ‘Keep the peace’ or to make sure you’re always kind and never mean. Kindness isn’t the same as letting yourself be pushed around, and you can learn that. You just need to let yourself free, and Luffy will be here with you every step of the way.

No matter how much it pains me to say i dont think we're gonna get mom content on Luffy, atleast not much. The same way we havent for any character. I was reading the SBSes and i got so upset I forgot to SS but Oda was asked why there isnt any mom content of them being alive or even there and he answered with some shit like "That's because Mom is the opposite of fun." Im so tired of misogyny ruining stuff bro. Women are the ones that have to make the entire baby, organs and blood, inside their bodies; and birth them. That isnt to mention how much it changes their body and brain afterwards, yet theyre always the ones ignored and the dads get all the content. I just want to be able to watch an action anime and not have to worry about misogyny. Its such a mood killer leaving out half of the population in media or minizing them just because theyre considered not "interesting enough". So tired of it. I just wanna enjoy one piece and not have to be slapped in the face with the reminder that no matter how much i love the show and Oda that theres serious problems about him. He's much better than other creators of course, especially for being from an asian country, but its still bad. It bums me out. A lot. All the dads had to do was just have a little fun and women do the rest but theyre just not fun enough to write apparently. It doesnt even matter that hes a guy and maybe he'll do rough writing women. I would rather him try, he wrote robin and shes amazingly written so he has the potential he just doesnt use it. Usually animes will atleast mention the mothers but theres just such a huge abundance of mother erasure in OP its impossible to miss. Dont even get me started on the families oda introduces and then the mom just is already not there or considered. Like what.
